Forwarded locked pictures

My fone has bout 9 forwarded pic's that hav little gold padlocked icons in each pic.. What are these? How did they get there? My memory cleaner is also padlocked on n I didn't do this?!?

are you talking about images that were there when you bought the device ?
It may be images protected by DRM, meaning you will never be able to save them somewhere or copy them of send them by email.

The collum to the right listed similar problems. The solution appears to be that under smtp outgoing settings the user name and password are listed as optional. I have not plugged in the information and it seems to be working. However from my office it always allowed the relaying. The true test will be when I try to respond later from the road.

Issues with Forwarding a picture via text or sending from My Gallery.

I have had my Droid Razzr Maxx for a couple of weeks. It has never let me forward a picture that I receive in a text message nor will it let me forward a picture from my gallery anywhere but to Facebook. It will say it is resizing the picture but it never finishes. I can receive any size photo just fine. I have tried adjusting every setting I am aware of but no change, could there be a defect in my phone? My wife has the same phone and does not have any problems like this.

Picture messaging is a great way to share memories with others! After all, it’s affordable compared to having pictures developed and it’s interactive! Now that I think of it, I LOVE picture messaging! May I ask do you know the original file size of the message that you are trying to forward? Also, what software and build version do you have on your Droid Razr? If you have any 3rd party messaging apps then I would recommend removing the app(s) and retest the forwarding feature. If this has never worked for you then I would suggest performing a hard reset on the device. Below is a link to the steps on how to do so.

Once you have completed the reset then there is tutorial on how to re-setup and reactivate your phone. Once you have completed the tutorial then please retest the forwarding feature with a new incoming picture message. Please post your findings as they may come in handy in the future.

Trash and locked pictures problem

I have a problem with deleting stuff from my trash - i know this is a common problem but I have tried EVERYTHING!
I have some pictures that are locked and some I can unlock but some I cant, it says that I dont have the access (I can only read) but I am the administrator on the computer. So I cant go to get info and change the box to unlock them.
I have tried taking them out and putting them in a file on my desktop to unlock them and it is just duplicating them. So I now have about 700 locked files.
I have tried using terminal and dragging the contents of the trash in and using random commands that I dont understand. I have tried sudo (think thats right) commands.
I have also repaired my permissions in disk utility.
I'm using leopard and my version is 10.5.8.
And that annoying press the option key when you press delete but that just doesn't work.
Please help I'm desperate!

One way to force delete everything in the trash is to use OnyX. You can download it from http://www.titanium.free.fr/pgs/english/apps.html . It's also a good tool to do cleaning and disk maintenance. You should have a disk backup before using any disk maintenance software.

Fast Forward Locks Up FCP5

Anyone else have this problem. Playing a clip down looking for the bit you want so you press the play button 3 times. It will play FF for about 3 seconds then FCP locks up and stops playing. Then I have to wait about 15 seconds for it to come back. I am running the Lacie Big Disk Extreme via the FW800 on my G5 Dual 2.7 with 4 gigs of RAM . Will this go away if I get a 4 way stripe SATA Raid I wonder?? Thanks

As you seem to have noticed the FF/RW performance appears to be linked to chapters. It seems to me that video is loaded in chapters and once a chapter is loaded the FF/RW function works much more effectively than while that chapter is loading.
There are a number of remote commands you can use from your remote:
Pressing and releasing FF/RW while a movie is playing will advance/return a chapter (when no chapters are present the movie will advance/return 1/20 of its duration)
Pressing and releasing FF/RW while the movie is paused will advance/return the movie 10 seconds.
Pressing and holding FF/RW while the movie is playing will start to fast forward/rewind the movie and the longer you hold the faster this becomes.
Where possible I like to have many chapters in my video, but where this isn't possible I'd rather have none than one.

Forwarding a picture

I received a picture by text and want to forward to another person by text. How do i do that?

In order to forward a pic from a text message as a text message, press and hold the pic in the message, a menu pops up and you can forward from there.

I cannot find out how to forward a picture on my iPhone 5

I am using my Iphone 5 and it is not forwarding my texts or pictures? What do you do differently than an Iphone 4?

Tap and hold the text/picture in Messages, then hit More.
Highlight the message/picture you want to forward then hit the Forward button bottom right.

Locking Pictures

I am inserting many pictures into my "pages" document. Whenever I reformat in any way, the text moves around, but the pictures don't move with the text. The result is that I keep having to go back and reformat/ replace my pictures in the text. Is there a way to lock a picture, so that it stays in conjunction with the text?

Only inline objects move with the text. You can change an object to inline using the wrap inspector or the inline button on the format bar. Just using the wrap inspector doesn't always put the object where I want it. I prefer to cut the object then click in the text where I want the object & paste.

Screen Lock Picture

I'm setting up a new lab. On the old lab I was able to setup a custom picture when I locked the screens. I am trying to reference current documentation to replicate the set up but all the docs seem to be over 5 years old. Is there more recent user documentation I can access?

I can't forward a picture after taking it.

I have to close the camera app and then go to the 'photos', then open the photo and then forward it. What gives? I must be missing something super obvious here.
**I can't believe this. I have been dealing with this for months and I just retried it and now it works.** Arrrgh.

When you take the photo, you will see a little version of it in the bottom left-hand corner of the Camera window. Tap on it and it will open the photo, and provide you with the little box with arrow. If you click on that, you will then go to a screen that has Next in the upper right-hand corner. Tap on that, and you will get the various options to send it.

Locking Pictures in Pages App

When I insert pics from my photo library into a blank document within Pages on my ipad2, some of them are lockable and some are not. Is this a bug or what do I need to do to be able to lock all of them? When I click on the image, the edit list appears at the top of the image to copy, cut, etc, but no lock on some.

If your image has the 'Move with Text' function turned on, you won't be able to lock it. To turn it off select your image and click the editor (the little paintbrush) at the top of the screen. From the three options: Style, Image & Arrange, go the the 'Arrange' section. Click on 'Wrap' to open a drop down list, and here you'll see the 'Move with Text' slider. Turn it off, and your image should become lockable. I hope this helps, it worked for me!

Can't Forward Picture Attachments

When forwarding any email with a large number of pictures attached, the iPad will only forward a small number of the attachments. I've seen it do as few as 2 of 30 and as many as 6 of 19. It doesn't matter which of my accounts I use. The restriction, whatever it is, seems to be on the iPad, not the email account. This is better than my iPhone 3GS, which generally won't forward picture attachments at all, but it's almost as bad. The effect is that I have to wait and forward interesting pictures from a computer.

I have seen the same thing but I have given it time to download the whole e-mail and get the email addressed and ready to forward it exits out to the main screen as I push send. I showed it to the Apple Tech at the store who did not take any notes made me wonder if this is a normal thing.

TS1394 My pictures file is locked. Don't have permission to access iPhoto library after Yosemite upgrade. How do I dump the new Pictures file and restore the old?

Just upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.1 iPhoto gives me a permissions error when I try to access the photo library. When I track down the "Pictures" folders, the new "blessed" Pictures folder (with camera on the folder) is empty. The previous Pictures folder, now a generic folder named "Pictures" is found at MacHD>Users>Guest, with a no access red circle/white bar in the lower right corner. Get info tells me that "Guest" has read/write privileges, but not me, logged on with administrator password. Logging in as "Guest" does no good, the folder is no longer findable. Disk Utility Permissions repair and restart, both as Guest and with the administrator password are fruitless. I cannot alter the locked Pictures folder. Will moving the "blessed" pictures folder to the trash and restarting possibly fix this? If not, then how? Thanks.

Try holding alt or option key when starting iPhoto to choose a new Library.

Forwarding pictures

When I forward a picture within an email nobody receives them. The picture is not sent as an attachment it's within the e-mail itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

when you use "plain text" to compose the email or "format->make plain text(shift-command-T)" when forwarding a message, the picture will be received by Windows email client(OE or outlook) as an 'attachment' instead of inline.
