Found existing proxy warning in JMS Grid logs

Hi All,
I am currently getting issues with my JMS Grid cluster. I have two AIX machines linked as a cluster of two JMS Grid instances. I then have a total of three JCAPS logical hosts connecting into this Grid cluster.
What seems to be happening is that the JMS Grids (one or both at the same time) lose site of one and other (and perhaps the logical hosts too) which is causing them to eventually hang and stop processing message requests.
In the logs we are seeing different errors on different occations. I have included the logs from the hanging grid for the last instance of the failure. This time it is showing the "Found Existing Proxy" warning. Last time it was a connection timeout.
We are already tracking the network to check for timeout issues and network traffic problems. If anyone has any ideas on what causes this "Found Existing Proxy" I'd appreciate it. I can't find any reference to it on the forums sites for JMS.
Kind regards
Simon

I had a similar issue to this. It turned out the tns listener had already started on the VIP address on the first node.

    Hi,
You can ignore similar warning messages -- See (Oracle Applications DBA Minipack R12.AD.A [ID 401424.1]) for details. However, I would suggest you log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.

  • Critical errors were found in setup. Please see setup log file for details.

What fixes this problem in IE? I have read a lot of forums with many replies saying they got by it, but they never explain how. One guy posted a link, but the link is dead now.
I need to know how to fix this problem. Only thing I can gather is its a Java issue, but my java is up to date. In fact I just reinstalled it make sure that it was updated.
With as many people having this issue I can't believe I have not found something from Adobe on this issue.
    Regards,
    Scott

I run the setup file and it does the checking system process... then goes into the actual install menu and not more than 10 seconds into that 2nd menu I get "critical errors were found in setup. Please see setup log file for details". That is all I can get out of the install.
The message window that I get the error in indicates windows Internet Explorer.
That is the my entire process. I have searched and found the log file and I have looked through it, but I am having a hard time finding the actual cause of the error. Out of shear frustration I removed all my adobe products and tried the install again and had the same exact problem. So I know there is something stopping me some where... just don't know what it could be.
    Thanks,

  • Deploying WSA with an Existing Proxy

    Hi,
Does anyone have this kind of setup?
Existing proxy is squid, MAC was used to filter users with internet connections.
No domain controller on the client side and has a dhcp environment.
    Any tips?
    Capt. Winters

    Capt. Winters,
The WSA can can use the squid as both an explicit or transparent proxy. This will change how the WSA creates its own requests to fetch the objects.
With a transparent upstream proxy, there is nothing additional that needs to be done. The WSA will send it's requests to the configured default gateway.
With an explicit upstream proxy, you will need to enter your Squid's IP and port (typically 80 or 8080) to be used. The WSA will send requests directly to the Squid proxy, as opposed to the default gateway.
Both of these options are configured under the Network tab -> Upstream proxy.
The only real difference between not using an upstream proxy and using a transparent upstream proxy, is that with the latter the WSA will forward internal credentials upstream to the squid (if the squid is doing authentication).

  • Distributed JMS based logging .. falling flat?

In our fancy ESB, logging of each request is done via a common infrastructure based on JMS based logging. Here is what happens in a nutshell:
    service gets a request service
prepares some data in a LogData
    object service calls database
time taken for db interaction is captured in LogData object
service is ready to send response
LogData object is sent to a messaging destination
    service sends response
Very rosey! yes for paper architects. Here is the actual issue: The JMS service provider sometimes becomes unavailable - due to a system level error or the software crashes. Then the service waits at the step (step no. 6) where it has to make JMS connection to send LogData object. Resulting in delayed response, thus leading to bad performance and user experience.
So that is the biggest shortcoming of "Distributed logging using JMS" touted by a lot of developer websites. Also note that the presance of LogData is kind of critical non-functional requirement. That means the messages are sent in persistent mode, leading to a wait until the JMS provider confirms receipt of message to the sender (the service in this case) - what to be blamed? immature design? Are there any success stories of implementing something like this?

You can substitute 'database', 'web service' or 'jboss' (as examples) in the above and change nothing.
If you have a remote server that is a required part of your processing system in a 24x7 system then you must come to some understanding of both what is allowed when the service is not available at all and what is allowed when there are intermittent outages.
The first must be considered because something like a router going done can take quite a while to diagnose and replace.
Besides the solution noted above I have also implemented a solution that cause my service to stop accepting any transactions at all if the secondary processors cannot respond in a timely manner. The reasoning there is that in planned for volume scenarios it is possible for several thousand transactions to be backed up even in the best circumstances in a couple of seconds, thus taking more in could result in a large number of failures.
Additionally back end systems might run via a load balancer. That however can still have failure scenarios, again for example when a router goes out, or when one balanced server accepts a connection but fails to process it.

Restore your new iPad from your most recent backup of your iPad2 in iTunes when you set it up, and then set up your wife's iPad2 as new device in iTunes by clicking on 'restore' on the main summary screen.
Alternatively, you can just go to 'Settings>Reset>Erase all Contents and Settings'.

    Hello,
I have jms to proxy integration. I defined  additional jms parameters in Adapter -Specific Message Attribute in JMS senderadapter. And I can retrieve this field in dynamics configuration in SXMB_MONI. Process should be continued as such:
If  "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 1, proxy should be called for invoice,
If  "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 2, proxy should be called for  Claims.
    How can i do it?
    Please help
    Thanks for your help

Thanks  for your reply, but i think so that i misstold. I mean that i have one jms queue in  ibm websphere mq. In this queue exist multiple messsage format. I defined a addtional  jms message attribut in jms sender adapters  in PI. I have two jms sender adapters.
According to this additional jms message properties should be called different proxy:
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 1, proxy should be called for invoice,
If "DCJMSMessageProperty0" is 2, proxy should be called for Claims.
Also this configuration should be done in jms sender adapter.

  • Toplink Warning - how to stop logging?

I'm just getting started with JPA and TopLink so I need a little help here.
Here's the situation. I want to build a simple Rich Client Application and have it use JPA for persistence. I am developing in NetBeans and using the built in Derby database for testing.
So I've got my Entities all set up and I've started writing a class that'll be using an EntityManager to handle the persistence. The first test I've done is working. However, every time I retrieve the EntityManager from my EntityManagerFactory and Toplink wants to create the tables for all the entities (and it realizes that they're already there), the Toplinks Logger prints this warning for every table:
    +[TopLink Warning]: 2010.04.25 03:36:16.187--ServerSession(16795115)--Exception [TOPLINK-4002] (Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.0.1 (Build b09d-fcs (12/06/2007))): oracle.toplink.essentials.exceptions.DatabaseException+

I've already tried to disable toplink-logging via persistence.xml which I've posted below. The warnings still show, though.

Sun ONE Web Proxy Server automatically logs all requests using either the common log-file format or an extended log-file format. The extended log-file format includes the referrer field and user agent. You can also create your own log file format by selecting which HTTP fields you would like to log. A built-in log analysis program includes reports such as total number of requests, total bytes transfered, most commmon URLs requested, most common IP addresses making requests, performance during peak periods, cache hit rates, and estimated response time reduction. The items logged and the analysis program are completely configurable using the server manager's HTML form.

Sun Java System Web Server is a web server; it serves web pages to web clients. Sun Java System Web Proxy Server, on the other hand, is a web proxy server; it routes requests/responses between web servers and web clients.
You can configure Web Server to act as a simple reverse proxy by installing the Web Server 6.1 Reverse Proxy Plugin. This doesn't provide any of the forward proxy or caching proxy functionality found in Web Proxy Server.
Both Web Server 6.1 and Web Proxy Server 4.0 are supported on Solaris 10.
