I see following warning message in my log files. Can any one help me what exactly this means?
"Skipping grouping rule '(null)' in profile 'Global_Profile_Records_Management_FieldGroup'. The grouped field 'xCategoryID' is a parent "

Cause:
p51044545 Hiding dDocName and dSecurityGroup with IsGroup set throws IdocScript error
Solution:
Unchecking the IsGroup flag will avoid the reporting of the mentioned warnings

I am using it in the BADI_ORDER_SAVE, when I do not add this message to the log the pop up message is coming out fine.
In this FM if I send E to iv_msgty ,its working fine too.The problem is coming only for warning messages.

You can ignore similar warning messages -- See (Oracle Applications DBA Minipack R12.AD.A [ID 401424.1]) for details. However, I would suggest you log a SR to confirm this with Oracle support.

Where is the log file in 10.1.3 AS?

I am writing System.out.println statements and want to check those messages in the log file. But not sure where the log file is. Appreciate if you can respond.

By default all OC4J stderr and stdout messages go in following file:
$ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/OC4J~home~default_group~1
If you want you can change it, refer following for that:

Suppress SEVER _restoreStampState messages in the log

Hi -
Whenever we navigate to the details page in our JHeadstart application, we get these _restoreStampState SEVERE error messages. These messages fill up the log quickly and also the log looks clumsy. Even though the functionality is not breaking - the appearance of this messages is confusing to the customers.
Is there a way to suppress these messages in the log file?
PLEASE HELP.

Can we save the warning message in the message log of Lead.

Hi,
I have an requirement where i have to raise an warning message while "creation of lead from campaign" on campaign UI, I can raise that warning message using below code.
DATA lr_message_service TYPE REF TO cl_bsp_wd_message_service.
lr_message_service = cl_bsp_wd_message_service=>get_instance( ).
lr_message_service->add_message( iv_msg_type = if_genil_message_container=>mt_warning
iv_msg_id = 'ztest'
iv_msg_number = 006
iv_msg_level = '1' ).
but how can i retain this warning message in the lead message log ? "when ever i will open that lead again that warning message should be there"

Hi,
Below are the steps to write to the log and then read it,
1. Create a Log useing FM BAL_LOG_CREATE. This will return the log handle.
2. Add messages to log using FM BAL_LOG_MSG_ADD. Importing parameters are log handle and the message.
3. You can read the log by passing the log handle to FM BAL_GLD_SEARCH_MSG. This will return the message handle.
4. Now pass the message handle to FM BAL_LOG_MSG_READ. This inturn return the message id and class. Pass the msg. details to FM BAL_DSP_TXT_MSG_READ to read the message text.

XMLForm Service message keep showing in the log file

Hello,
The message below keeps showing in the log file when the form is opening in Workspace ES. It keeps repeating like hundred times in the log file when the form is launching.
It just happen to some forms but not to all forms. I tried to see if there is any thing strange in the form but could not find any thing wrong in the form nor any explaination about this error on Adobe site or Internet. Note that I am still using LiveCycle ES 8.2.1 with SP3.

Upgrade it to SP1 with hot-fix. SUN has a very big bug in the 4.16 SP1 software . u have to apply that hot-fix otherwise you will in big bug in userpassword attribute and some other security issues.

I do not know how to achive such funcionality.

Log4j problem for backing up the log file

This is my log4j.properties. it doesn't seem to back up the log file and create a new log file when it reaches to MAX size. can anybody look at it?

No, I didn't optimize any media though I've rendered proxies for all media. I have about 14TB of R3D footage on five external harddrives, it's a feature. The proxies and sound files which I copied to the library makes the library file that big. I can't consolidate all media, as far as I know, since I don't have a drive even close to the size of all the R3D footage.
In terms of copying I have only tried the good old "copy/paste" method. I have never used any of those programs you mentioned. Can those programs be used to copy certain files or will they copy an entire drive?
Will the automatic back-ups FCPX does every 15 minutes save my timelines if something would go wrong and the library file would dissappear? I don't fully understand how that back-up process works. I could always render new proxies, though it would take time, but re-editing all those timelines is a whole other thing. Important to note here is that I'm used to Premiere Pro and the "old" FCP which is why all of this is so confusing.

Where can the log file be found after printing to the PDF printer?

Cannot locate the log file after printing to the Adobe PDF printer. The box was unchecked for delete log file after successful print. Running Adobe Acrobat X Standard (v10.0.0) on a windows 2008 R2 server.

There is usually no log file when the conversion succeeds. Only in certain cases are their warning or information messages, usually of little interest.

The error message suggest that our connection to the db is not correct.

I've got a error msg when try to generate a report using Cisco history report tool:
Error | An Exceptional Error occurred. Application exiting. Check the log file for error 5022
It only happens when choose report template: ICD_Contact_Service_Queue_Activity_by_CSQ_en_us.
User tried samething on other PC, it working fine.
only on user' own PC and only choose this report, error appears.
user runing windows 7 and do not have crystal report installed
tried reinstalled the software, doesn't work.

then tried https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-6209 - doesn't work

I have completely uninstalled the HRC, and download from server install again -- still doesn't work with exactly same error.
this matter only happens on this PC, when user try same thing on other PC, it works.

Bursting Program Ends in Error with nothing in the Log file

I have a RDF which calls a bursting program in After report trigger, the problem i'm facing is that the bursting program is completing successfully for a set of parameters and when again the program is run for the same set of parameters the bursting program is ending in error, i have checked the log file but nothing in the log file

Wondering What might be the issue, any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Ram,
Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Was this working properly before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Did you try to relink the concurrent program executable file and see if this helps? Also, you could enable trace/debug and submit the request again and see if more details are collected in the logs -- See (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12).
