FPGA compilation not completing.- Generating Cores
When i compile my FPGA code I get the above window and will be in the same status for more than 10 hrs and still no progress and no errors are thrown by the compiler. I have tried with different Design strategy like Balanced, minimum time etc
What version of LV? OS?
Has FPGA compilation ever worked on this computer?
For test purposes, have you tried compiling a very simple FPGA VI? Does this happen with any VI you try to compile?
Can you tell by looking at the task monitor whether the compiler is still actively doing something (consuming CPU cycles) after 10 hours?

The key will of course be to isolate differences between your machines.
I wonder if the following more specific language setting could be the lingering problem. LabVIEW is a non-unicode program, and there is a language setting in Windows (at least XP) specifically for non-unicode programs. Try the following (or it's Win2K equivalent) if you haven't already:
0. Open "Control Panel"
1. Open the "Regional and Language Options"
2. On the Advanced tab, choose English (United States) from the drop-down menu under the top section "Language for non-Unicode Programs"
- This language setting is different from the setting on the "Regional Options" tab.
Any other differences you can isolate would be potentially insightful - if you have the same software versions installed in the same order on both machines, we may be looking for something a bit subtle, such as the suspected language setting.

Fpga compilation problem (generating cores)
Hello. I am working in a lab trying to compile an FPGA for the cRIO 9074 module. There are no erros when beginning the compilation, and it runs smoothly until it reaches the "generating cores" step. At this point the following message repeats itself

I have included the xilinx log. For good measure I compiled an older FPGA we have running on a different chassis and it ran just fine, so it's not a problem with xilinx (at least I don't think it is). I have spent the better part of two days wrestling with this issue and have found no viable solutions. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Saved Tiffs will not open in CS2 and generate a "Could not complete your request because of a program error".
These files will often open in Photoshop 7.0.1 or in CS1 but not in CS2.
The trouble may be caused by bad dates in the EXIF data and can originate from an incorrectly-programmed digital camera; or from a scan that was created after after Jan1 of this year (because of a known bug in some scanner software).
If someone runs into the "Could not complete your request because of a program error" problem, and does not have CS1, try opening the Tiff in TextEdit.
The EXIF data is right at the top. Check the EXIF data for bad creation dates and change any incorrect ones there.
Save and close; and then the file will probably open in CS2 without a murmur.> If iPhoto causes problems why not open the images from the Finder?
I get the error if I open a file from within iPhoto using "OPen in external editor" and then alter it (or do not alter it) and try to save it over itself, or save it anywhere else.

SWF File not being generated by compiler
I am using Flash Builder 4.5.
One of the modules that compiles without error is still not being bound into the runtime image (in this case debug).
There are no compiler errors (auto build is switched ON) but a swf file is not being generated.
I have tried removing the reference to the module in the Project ->Properties->Modules window and then adding it back in to no avail.
This was working up until I made a change to the module in question and then saved it.I would check all imported images in the library. If you cannot see the image in your library preview; there is a good chance that there is an issue and it will need to be reimported.

Thanks.If the OP has this much RAM in their iMac, certain this Mac can run Mountain Lion.
The reason it might not be installing is that 15 GBs of RAM.
Your iMac should have (4) equal sized, 4 GB sticks of RAM for a total of 16 GBs.l
If your iMac is only reporting that there is only 15 GBs of RAM, you have a RAM stick that is either not seated in its slot properly or is defective/going bad.
This maybe the reason that it won't download it.
Also could be you are running out of free space on your HD.
You need, at least 15-20 % or greater free space left on your HD. -
When trying to download Mountain Lion, I get the following message: "We could not complete your purchase. OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion requires a Core 2 Duo, .... processor." However, my iMac lists a 2GHz Intel Core Duo as its processor. Help?

Mountain Lion is a 64-bit operating system, and an Intel Core Duo processor is only 32-bit, so you can't use Mountain Lion on your Mac. You can keep using your actual OS X version or buy a new Mac if you want Mountain Lion -
Compile error (Code could not be generated)
When I try to run the attached vi I get the following error message "Code

Hi All,
Sine Generator - R Series.lvproj is one of the examples in the Example Finder. The example is developed for PXI 7831 R Series card. But it’s mentioned that the example can run on PXI 7841 Series card also. So I created new target and devices (7841) in the PXI system and moved the Items to Move to my new target, then I run the Sine Generator (FPGA).vi but not successful. The compiler is hanging in the following window for hours.(I am using LabVIEW 2010 with xilnix 11.5 FPGA compiler)
Also I am facing the same problem when compiling the attached simple FPGA VI. This VI has only Sine Wave Generator function and I/O node.
Why I couldn't compile the attached simple VI or provided example VI. Please add your inputs/comments

Deployment operation was not completed within timeout
I use Eclipse 3.3 and WLS 10. If i deploy my EAR to the server after 5min i get the following error in plugin "com.bea.workshop.wls.core":
"Deployment operation was not completed within timeout. State Type : running; Command Type : distribute; Action Type : execute; Completed : false; Failed : false; Message : null; Exception : null"
The timeout ist just in the eclipse-plugin , the deplyoment on the server runs to end but the application ist not activated.
Anyone has solved this problem?

DiegoThe timeout happens every time when i deploy the ear the first time to the server and the stubs are generated and compiled.
it is funny that last info before timeout-error 'publishing finished' comes while wls is in full action compiling the myprojEjbEntity-module.

Code could not be generated because an external component or driver is missing
Greetings All,
I've using Labview for a little over a year and I have an interesting situation with regards to Labview that I came across today. When I left off yesterday (01/11/12) my TestStand sequence was compiling fine. Today for some reason the compiler told me that one of the VI was broken or missing a sub vi. When I made my way through all the sub vi's in the vi that seemed to be a problem I came across "Code could not be generated because an external component or driver is missing".
The problem started on the computer (NI PXI-8101 with WinXP and Labview 2010) located in a PXI-1044 that is in my Test Stand. I have a complete backup on my laptop and my desktop computer which both compiling successfully with no errors. I tried installing the directory on another PXI-8101 and got a different set of results. The first PXI-8101 gave 100+ errors in TestStand pointing to one of my vi's and the other PXI-8101 reported only one (1) error. The vi is basically using DAQmx vi's to create a "write to one line" action. I'm kind of stumped as to why it works on the laptop/desktop and not the PXI computers. All four computer are WinXP professional and Labview 2010. I saw somethings through google search engine but nothing conclusive. I'm hoping that someone can give me an explaination as to what is causing the error as described. Even if I copy over the directory it doesn't fix the problem. Thank you in advance for an information you provide with this rather interesting problem that I've encountered. If you require addition information let me know.

I loaded the offending VI into Labview (2010) with TestStand inactive. Of course this was after I completely shutdown the computer and re-booted to ensure that nothing was resident in memory. I've included a couple of the error list boxes in this post.
It comes down to a subvi that is two (2) subvi's deep. All these vi's are doing is commanding a write or read to and from the PXI-6509. When I check the VI at the level that has no broken run arrows (named below), nothing in the block diagram looks out of place as it should since these were installed by Labview installation. The vi that uses these vi's looks total normal and its block diagram doesn't have anything out of the ordinary yet the run arrow is broken. The odd part of this is that the top of the window that states the filename of the vi has an astrex at the end of the filename, even though nothing has changed in that vi.
Here is a list of the deepest level that has no broken run arrow:

I guess the real question is what is the error message ("External component or driver missing") really telling me if all of the vi's look right. I appreciate any information you can send my way that will give me a better understanding of where this error is coming from. The program I developed had been running without a hitch for a month an all of sudden crash.

I am trying to open a video to edit in CS6 and I get this error: Could not complete your request because DynamicLink is not available
I read on one of these formus that I should uninstall and reinstall the program.
I tried to uninstall the program and it told me to use the Adobe Application Manager.
Adobe Application Manager failed and it told me to download the Adobe Support Advisor.
Adobe Support Advisor told me that there was an issue:" cpsid_82829s1: "A restart is pending," bootstrapper error has occurred. "Token Number: 40-87772-063201122012
I followed the instructions it gave me to correct this issue:

I followed the instructions it gave me to correct this issue:
If you receive the error "Installer has detected that a machine restart is pending. It is recommended that you quit the installer, restart try again," do the following:
#Restart the computer and try the installation again.
#If the installation fails, delete the InProgress registry key:

I am trying to open a video to edit in CS6 and I get this error: Could not complete your request because DynamicLink is not available
I read on one of these formus that I should uninstall and reinstall the program.
I tried to uninstall the program and it told me to use the Adobe Application Manager.

I get this error when trying to open "obj" files exported in various 3D programs. I looked up a few similar questions about this error message but the don't seem to relate to me since this installation of PS is new and I never had a previous version on this computer. Also, I tried a somewhat newer and better video card than I had before and I'm still getting this error message.
