  • Calling a Web Dynpro Application from POWL feeder class

    Hi,
I know this question is asked before but never answered, but I try again......
I have a own POWL feeder class where I defined a button in method IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_ACTIONS.
I know that this action can be handled in method IF_POWL_FEEDER~HANDLE_ACTION.
When pressing the button I want do call another web dynpro application.
How can I do this? -> Any Example Coding?
Thank you and best regards, Edgar

    Hi Vineet,
it works, thanks a lot!!!!  Best Regards, Eddy
P.S.: Here is the coding for triggering the event and passing parameters for the selected POWL table line:
    METHOD if_powl_feeder~handle_action.
      DATA: ls_parameter TYPE powl_namevalue_sty.
      DATA: lt_flights TYPE ty_flights.
      DATA: ls_flight TYPE sflight.
      DATA: ls_selected TYPE rstabix.
      FIELD-SYMBOLS: <lt_fligts> TYPE STANDARD TABLE.
      IF i_actionid = 'EDIT'.
    *   Important: this triggers the event
        e_portal_actions-fire_wdevent = abap_true.
    *   Pass parameters to event
        ASSIGN c_result_tab TO <lt_fligts>.
        lt_flights = <lt_fligts>.
    *   Determine the first selected row
        READ TABLE c_selected INTO ls_selected INDEX 1.
    *   Read selected POWL data
        READ TABLE lt_flights INDEX ls_selected-TABIX INTO ls_flight.
        CHECK sy-subrc = 0.
    *   Pass parameters
        ls_parameter-key = 'ACTIONID'.
        ls_parameter-value = 'I_ACTIONID'.
        APPEND ls_parameter TO e_portal_actions-parameters.
        ls_parameter-key = 'CARRID'.
        ls_parameter-value = ls_flight-carrid.
        APPEND ls_parameter TO e_portal_actions-parameters.
        ls_parameter-key = 'CONNID'.
        ls_parameter-value = ls_flight-connid.
        APPEND ls_parameter TO e_portal_actions-parameters.
        ls_parameter-key = 'FLDATE'.
        ls_parameter-value = ls_flight-fldate.
        APPEND ls_parameter TO e_portal_actions-parameters.
      ENDIF.
    ENDMETHOD.

  • Examples of 'calling a web dynpro application with parameters'

    Hi!!
I'm I have been watching manual 'Web dynpro for abap: advanced concepts' in the sections 'url parameters' and 'calling a web dynpro application with parameters'.
Is there some example where these terms are seen.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Ana,
a window inbound plug can have parameters.
These parameters are automatically fished out of the URL by the framework.
So your inbound plug handler method has easy access to the parameters.
    URL
    http://<host>:port/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<your application>?param1=xyz&param2=abc
The application is configured to call an inbound interface(window) and plug.
The plug can be declared with parameters.
Double click on window inbound plug and add your parameters.
The parameters are made available by framework if present in Launch URL.
You can also call an application that has parameters  directly entered on the parameters tab.
ie Parameters can be part of the application launch.
    regards
    Phil

  • Adobe form data not being retrieved by Web Dynpro application

    Hi,
I have created an online interactive Adobe form embedded in a Web Dynpro ABAP application.  The Web Dynpro application calls a function module to update data in SAP.  My problem is that the ABAP code that was generated to retrieve the data from the Adobe form and call the function module does not retrieve the data if it has been typed into any of the input fields.  Oddly enough, it does work if the data is entered by using the value helps that have been placed on the form.
    I would appreciate any suggestions.
    Thanks!
    Russell

Use messageboxes on various events to find out when your value dissapeears.
If you´re not sure about the binding, you can always drag/drop from data view tab onto the layout and check the binding which the system generates for you. Just to make sure.

  • Passing a parameter while calling a web dynpro application on portal

    hi
I am having a web dynpro application which retrieves data from R/3 system via RFC using Jco destinations define in the Portal.
Now we have different kinds of portals running on the same WAS, now I want the application to run which access data from different R/3 systems thru different JCo destinations.
I need to create a logic such that mu application runs fine on any portal with any Jco destination.
Is there any provision to achieve this.
kindly let me know about this.
    Thanks and regards
    kris

    Gopi,
there's an parameter called "sap-wd-arfc-useSys" you can pass to the application, to change the used JCo-Connection (read more at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005/helpdata/en/f4/651741f163f023e10000000a155106/frameset.htm)
so, if you're running the WD-aaplication on <b>one</b> WAS and call it from different portals, you have to create three (or six with the META-connections) JCo-Connection on your WD-WAS.
In a WD-application you can access URL-Parameters with:
    WDWebContextAdapter.getWebContextAdapter().getRequestParameter("<your URL Parameter-Name>");

  • Calling a Web Dynpro application from a web application

Hi everyone, I've got a problem I hope someone can help me resolve.
What I wanna do is to show a login form, which is part of a J2EE web application (contained in a SAP Web AS), an after the user submits the required information, I have to redirect the user to a Web Dynpro application, which is contained in the same Web AS, but I have to redirect this user using single sign on.
I'm not sure about what I have to do, I'm new in these technologies, I think I need to use UMFactory, but I have made some investigation and I'm not so sure about what I have to do yet, can anyone give me a hand with this?

    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
You need to setup a Single Sign On between SAP Portal and ECC system where yoy are doing the development.
Ask basis team to setup the single sign on and usually this is the job done by Basis teams. Refer the below link to get some idea on SSO setup:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/enterprise-portal/blog/2013/12/15/sso-configuration-between-sap-portal-73-and-ecc-60-ehp-6

  • How to run mobile web dynpro application

    Hi experts,
I'm using NetWeaver Developer Studio for Mobile SP03.
I create a mobile application for handhelds including 2 components:
    - Mobile Application.
    - Mobile UI Component (web dynpro component).
I do follow the tutorial for creating the application. I can deploy and run the application on NWDS handheld emulator successfully.
When I deploy it on my SAP Application server to test the web dynpro UI application via a web browser, it throws out a java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: the class <package name>/Internal<Application Name>Comp.class cannot be found by WD framework when I access it. It can be deployed without error and is alive in the web dynpro content admin.
I found that the normal WD component the class Internal<Application Name>Comp is generated during the building process but it is not when developing mobile UI component.
Can anyone tell me there is any difference between the two WD component types? Does my server need to install any extra component for running mobile UI component? Or do I need to configure my NWDS for Mobile to make the application work on SAP server?
    Thank you very much,
    Steven Linh Nguyen.

    Hi,
Mobile webdynpro application for handheld cannot be deployed on SAP AS.
To use the Mobile webdynpro application for handhelds follow the steps:
    1. Upload sda files of all DCs to the DOE server (Transaction SDOE_UPLOAD_ARCHIVE) which will be availabe at the location
    <workspace.jdi>\LocalDevelopment\DCs\demo.sap.com\<DC>\_comp\gen\default\deploy
    2. Install the simulator on laptop or client on PDA
    3. Deploy uploaded MCDS(from step1) to the client, after the device registration.

  • Call a ABAP Web-Dynpro-application via a BSP-Application

We have a BSP-Framework, that call several applications among other things other BSP-Applications, ITS-Application and other systems. Now I want to integrate a ABAP Web Dynpro-Application.
For the moment I can call the ABAP Web Dynpro-Application from our application.
This application runs in the same session as the Framework (verify in transaction sm04).
When I want to call another application in the Framework, the session will be killed (no more sessions in sm04). This happens also, when I want to call the ABAP Web Dynpro-Application a second time.
I guess, that the ABAP-Framework thinks I want to go outside the system (for example www.google.de) and close the session. I found out, that this wouldn't happen, if the application were suspended. But I found no way to tell the application via a url-parameter to suspend.
    Can someone help me?

    Thx for the tip,
but I can't firea suspend plug. Because I'm in BSP. I understand the docu so, that you have the option to call a other apllication like BSP from a ABAP Web Dynpro.
I want to call the ABAP Web Dynpro form BSP like this way.
    1. Start BSP-Framework
    2. Call ABAP Web-Dynpro-Application from BSP
    3. Call another Application from BSP without automatically logout by unload ABAP Web Dynpro. (I have a chance to call the ABAP Web Dynpro again via url to suspend before I call the other app.)

  • Calling another web dynpro in a web dynpro programm

    Hi experts,
I am new to web dynpro. And I am working on several web dynpro applications. I just want to know how to call another web dynpro within a web dynpro application. Don't use popups, I'd like the web dynpro work together in the same window just like a wizard.
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi Guo,
Yes, you can achieve it by Component Usage. You can embed other component's Interface views into your own Windows. Check out the component Usage information in help.sap.com to get a clear idea of it.

  • Call another Web Dynpro with Configuration

    HI to all
I have a Web Dynpro Components, and i have made Application configuration.
So I want call this Web Dynpro Application from an other Web Dynpro Application with the configuration I have made before.
Is this possible if so what have I to that this works, has some one a code example for me.
    Thanks & Regrets
    Hermann

    Hi Hermann,
When you run an application with a special configuration, you may notice the additional URL-parameter
    &sap-wd-configId=my_configid
. Just add this as a parameter to the application URL, and it will work.
    Ciao, Regina

  • Authentication Screen when accessing Web Dynpro Application

    Hi,
    We are encountering a situation wherein when we call the Web dynpro application, it asks for Authentication. The way we do is a bit tricky. We have the following set up;
    1. We access the CRM_IC ( Web Gui) in CRM and from where we try to create orders  in the backend system i.e., ECC6.0 (IS_Utilities).
    2. For creating orders we launch the FOP ( in our case it is DYNPRO) from CRM. So ECC screen is opened through ITS using SSO.
    3. In addition to this we built a web dynpro application to be called from the DYNPRO (step 2).
    4. When the Web dynpro application is accessed it asks for Login details though it has already logged into ECC using SSO.
PROBLEM: CRM -- using ITS / SSO --> ECC --> Web dynpro ?? Authentication screen.
    Design:
We are using WDY_EXECUTE_IN_PLACE to open the Web dynpro in SAPGUI. It is working fine when we run the Web dynpro application from SAPGUI, only the problem is when we do the above steps 1 - 4.
Tried using the following logic as well but the same result.
CREATE OBJECT viewer EXPORTING parent = empty_container.
    CALL METHOD viewer->enable_sapsso
    CALL METHOD viewer->DETACH_URL_IN_BROWSER
    EXPORTING url = urlc.
    cl_gui_cfw=>flush( ).
So is it possible to over come the problem. Basically, we don't want the Authentication screen it should use SSO.
SSO is already set up in the system.
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Roopesh

  • How to call a web Service from Oracle Applications?

    Hi friends,
I've posted this question on OA Framework forum , but may be it's more appropiated put it here. Sorry for do it again:
It's about how to call a web service from a Form or a .sql (via Request) in Oracle Applications:
Could you please explain here the detailed steps (with code example if it's possible) to invoke a webservice from Oracle Applications?.. how did yo do it...?
I've read differents posts here and the 33097.1 metalink note (by the way, the first recommended link in this note is broken...), but there are lots of theorical concepts and no real examples to see how/from where invoke the WS
I'll have to call one webservice (I suppose the customer will give me the interface implementation)...but I've never did it with Applications so that's why I ask you for all the detailed steps...
I work with Forms 6i, Apps 11.5.10.2 and DB 9.2.0.7.
    Thanks a lot.
    Jose.

    Hello Jose,
I did using java program to call BPEL web services in 11.5.10.
I pasted below the metalink note for your reference (Note:250964.1)
The idea is first write a java program to call the webservice (in my case it is calling an BPEL web service, so this may not help directly), test it.
Then port the java program as specified in the note, so that you could call your web service through concurrent manager scheduler.
    Is this ok?
    Thanks
    Arun.
