FPN BO iView issue....

Hi,
We have consumer portal (NW 7.0 SP17) and Producer Porta - B Portal (NW 7.0 EHP1) . We successfully configured FPN and we are able to view the BI iviews from producer portal in consumer portal through RRA. In producer portal (BI Portal) we have also configured SSO for BO through BI/BO integration kit and we are able to execute the BO iviews in Producer portal roles without being asked for user id and password. I am getting the below error in consumer portal if i try to execute the same BO iviews . I am able to execute BI iviews in consumer portal but not BO iViews.

Got reply from SAP asking to update the portal version as per SAP Note # 1462514 to resolve this issue.

ABAP webdynpro iView issue with Internet explorer

Greetings,
We are trying to integrate ABAP webdynpro with portal using the standard SAP webdynpro iView template, we are able to successfully integrate and display on portal pages.
However if we are using IE version 7.0 browser we do not have any issues, but when we try to use IE version 6.0 the webdynpro portal pages does not display any content. A workaround was to open up the IE settings and change the setting for Navigate sub-frames across different domains to 'enable' from 'disable'.
This fixed the issue.
Also we came across information that we can change the setting to force the portal to use the css from the ABAP backend by changing the iView property 'Supply portal stylesheet' from 'Yes' to 'No'. Does this affect the portal behavior in rendering content in MS IE.
Please let us know if there are any other methods to overcome this issue, as this will affect many of our users.
iview isolation is of type 'URL'
page isolation is set to 'Embedded'
Portal page used is default framework type not webdynpro type

Transaction iView issue: Table Can't Support multi-cell copy pase

Hey guys:
I have a big problem. The transaction iview's content is a ABAP application, and it cannot support mulit-cell copy-pase when user try to pase their data from Excel. It only allow single cell copy-pase each time, and that means user needs to enter data cell by cell. However, the ABAP application works just fine on SAP GUI.
Anyone can help me figure this out?
I hope this is configuration problem but WebGUI doesn't support this operation.

Sorry it has taken so long for people to respond but this is a lot of data and it took time but basically it's a software issue what's happening is your service provider is making every attempt to contact your phone and your phone is basically not giving up any of the data like your udid or unique identifier. Their is no exact fix for this because I have only ever seen this issue 3 times and what it is best to do is connect to your computer and restore and set it up as a new phone then restore from backed up data. This is the only advice I can offer as this issue is so rare no one has one exact answer for it

BW Report iView issue in EP 6.0 SP16

I am try to preview a BW iView via the Portal:
The iView gets generated but the screen displays only the icons and tabs but no report is getting generated. I expect a variable screen but instead of that i am able to see BEX formatted screen.
the same query i am running on EP6.0 SP 13 and BW3.5 SP13 is working fine.
This BW iView I am trying to generate on an EP6.0 SP16 with BW 3.5 SP16.
I am unable to solve this issue, so kindly let me know if anybody has the solution

Hey Ricky.
We have run into the same problem you are experiencing after patching BW 350 to SP16. We were previously at 13 as well.
You have probably already figured out what we just did, but I thought I'd update your message until SAP comes out with the "real" fix.
We are able to get all of our BW report iview content working, but only by re-creating the iviews as URL iviews. Depending on the number of BW Report iviews you have this could be a ton of work, but if you've got upper management looking only at a few, this will get them up and working again. Take the URL and just paste it into a standard URL iview and see if that works for you. It did for us. It's also interesting to note that in the properties of the standard URL iview, it parses out the parameters with several "GET" statements.
We have not had any success changing the properties of non-working BW Report iview. This is what I believe SAP will have to fix. The problem seems to be with the passing of the URL parameters. Hopefully a fix will be released soon so that every BW Report iview doesn't have to be rebuilt.

BW Report iView issue

I am having a strange issue when I try to preview a BW iView via the Portal:

Note that this is the first BW iView I am trying to generate on an EP6 SP14 system with BW 3.1 SP16.
The system landscape, Aliases, connection tests etc are
all successful and we are using weak encryption (ume.usermapping.unsecure=TRUE).

The URL iView works fine for me. It is only the "SAP BW Report iView" that is not working correctly.
I tried both the below types of iViews:
     1. BEx Web application: template_id=<TEMPLATE_ID>
     2. BW query: infocube=<INFOCUBE>&query=<QUERY>
Can any one tell me where I am going wrong in maintaining the following String properties for above two types of iViews:
     1. template_id=TEST_PORTAL_TEMPLATE_001
     2. infocube=s900&query=TEST_PORTAL_QUERY_001

Cognos Content iView Issues

Hello,
I imported the Cognos Business package that included some cognos iViews. The main iViews that I'm using are the viewer, navigator, search. I'm currently on SAP EP 7 SP13. There are two problems that I'm having and currently the issues been log with Cognos.
The first problem is the defualt settings per iView. When ever I set the default settings by clicking on "Edit the properties for all users" link in the personlize settings of the iView, the changes take affect for the current iView but the changes are relected on other iViews as well. The second problem is not being able to to change the name of the iView.
Is anyone using these iViews having the same problem?

Cognos did provided me with a fix to the defualt settings problem and the iView name changing problem. Currenlty the fix is in place and testing has been successful. I would probably inquire about this if you plan to utilize the other Cognos iViews.
Are you running into perfomance issues when navigating through the Cognos Connection hierarchy with the Cognos Navigation iView? When you select a report, the performance is fine becuase the request is to open in a separate browser window and not through another Cognos Viewer iView. I'm running into a performance problem when trying to navigate through the folders. The response is really slowly. This in my portal development environment and overall portal performance is fine. When navigating directly in Cognos Connection the performance is fine. Is there a way to improve the connection with the Cognos iView and Cognos servers?
Also, do you happen to know how personalization works. Where is the settings stored? I ran into an issue where the personalize settings got wiped out and we had to set the default settings again. Nothing was changed to the Cognos iViews in our portal dev environment prior to the persolize settings wipe out.

For Log files Login to your portal.Then change the link in address as follows
http://your url:port/index.html
If you are a super administrator ( or netweaver admin) you can open this otherwise try assigning these roles.Then go to Netweaver administration link --> Monitoring --> Logs and Traces.Select view as default trace and search with the exact id and date/time. If that matches you can select that click on open Record details.There you can search the cause of error.

IView Issue with ITS

Hi,
We are using EP6 SP9 and have recently built a new DEV ITS server (620 Patch 28). I have modified the portal DEV system landscape to now point my ITS server. Since then something very strange has been happening.
I have used the ITS Theme generator to re-generate the themes.
I am using the standard ESS iview 'Personal Data' which is an IAC iview, this has not been modified and is straight from business package 50.4.
When I have an unread item in my SBWP and view the Personal Data iview I get a pop up that says 'you have unread messages in your inbox'. Once you select green tick it takes you to the iview but the iview is displayed like it is a SAP transaction iview.
If I clear my unread items from SBWP and view the iview again it is displayed correctly as an IAC iview.
I have turned off the notification popup using SO16 and can access the iviews fine but the finance team still want to receive the popup in SAP R/3.
Also if I point my portal to my old ITS server then it also works fine, so issue must (??) be with the ITS server.
Can anyone help ? Points rewarded !!

Frame Style = Primary frame (for the forms)
and then the option "Frame Title bar" is available again.. I don't know why the 'tab strip' make it disappear automatically

Tcode iview issue in IE9.

     We are created Tcode iviews in portal, But it is working fine in IE6,7 & 8. But if we try to open same tcode iview in IE9 , it is asking to save or open tx.sapssd file.
    Please let me know how to open this file or we need to set any settings for this in IE9?
    We are created Tcode iview as a SAP GUI as a Window.

IView issue in anonymous mode

Dear all,
we are using EP 7 with the possibility to change into different portal languages.
If I try to open an iView in anonymous mode and portal language English, no content is displayed. After that I change the portal language to German for example, the content of the same iView is displayed correctly. Afterwards I switch back to English then content is also displayed correctly. So the first time when I try to open the iView in English no content is diplayed.
In personalized mode everything works correctly.
Does anyone has a solution for me?

URL iview issue for intranet sites

Hi Guys,
I am creating a simple url iview for one of our Sharepoint site. when I preview the iview it works fine. but when I assign it to some Role, it doesn't load. "Page cann't be displayed" error comes. Some prefix with the text "res://ieframe.dll/dnserror.htm#" added it the url.
At the same time when I create url iview for internet sites they works. I have checked the Proxy settings and browser setting but no help.
Please suggest if you something to try ?

Hi Amit,
Can you check the NWA Logs --> Default Trace to see if there are any log messages captured for this error. And analyse them.
Also run a HTTP trace to check if the request calls generated. See if the Sharepoint URL is getting called or not. And status of response from that.
Looking at the error, would suggest you to check the host names used on the URLs, should be FQDN.
Also if your browser is IE8, may also want to add the portal and sharepoint domains to be shown in compatibility view. Can do this from Tools --> Compatibility View settings.
Finally below is a help link to set up iViews in portal for sharepoint. Can refer to this and check the steps done at your end.

How are you creating the AIP for 11.0.03. You should create AIP for 11.0 and then patch the AIP with 11.0.03 update to create AIP for 11.0.03
Do not include any other patches in between.
e.g
1. Once you have downloaded the 11.0.03 EXE and extracted to some folder, it will contain the following files, lets say "C:\extract" contains these files
ABCPY.INI
AcroRead.msi
AdbeRdrUpd11003.msp
Data1.cab
setup.exe
Setup.ini
2. Now, create AIP for 11.0.0 using the following command, Where C:\Test123 is the location where 11.0.0 AIP is getting created, so first navigate to the extracted location and then create AIP for 11.0.0

Now, C:\Test123 contains 11.0.03 Reader AIP
4. Create your Transforms (if needed)
5. Apply the patch with this command, after navigating to C:\Test123
>msiexec /i AcroRead.msi REINSTALL=ALL REINSTALLMODE=vomus
This way you can install the 11.0.03 AIP on any existing AIP installations of Reader (It does not need to be a clean OS)
The above method is an underlyting GPO methodology when you upgrade package in Group Policy Editor and link the object to any OU

URL iView Issue

Hello All,
I created a URL iView and I can preview it successfully. However, upon embedding the URL iView in a page and previewing the page, I get a blank container/iView. Any ideas on why this happens and how it can be fixed?

Are you seeing any javascript error at the left bottom corner while accessing this URL iview during runtime?
If the portal host and the ivew has different domains, then
this contravenes the javascript same origin policy:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Same_origin_policy
You can Relax the domain also in the called application (you can use
javascript code like provided in Note 764773 ' iView Automatic Height
feature limitations' to do that). But note that if the javascript code
does other manipulations on the portal parent, you might get unexpected
effects, like the portal framework being replaced by the application
content.
Please also refer the Note 632440 'Domain barrier in the browser of the SAP Enterprise Portal

I have created a KM document iView to call this HTML page in portal and assigned that iView to a role .
Now the problem is when I click the iView for second time (when one ICWC window is already open) , it reloads the java script and it initializes the value of parameters .
So next time when I click on the link 'Open BSP' it again opens a new ICWC window
instead of the warning message 'Window already Open!' .
Is there any way to acive this .

Here on <b>onbeforeunload</b> event I am giving an warning message to user giving them two options , OK CANCLE .
This is working fine but as I click on CANCLE tab the portal doesn't load the KM document iView . Instead it just says 'loading' forever.
Am I missing something in this code . Can you please help.
