FPS drop in the game Counter strike after updating my graphics card.

Hi, i just updated my graphic card drivers and after that the fps on a game i like to play dropped to about 5. Before it was 70-100.
Its just unplayable and i cant figure out what it is, it has to do with the update.
I tried another game and it floats the same way as before.
The pc is a HP-Pavilion and the mode name is VN278AA-UUW m9860sc.
The graphics card im using is ATI radeon HD 4650.
Any idea what it may be?

I am sorry to hear the your FPS has dropped so low after updating your Graphics card. I will try my best to help you with this. I suspect that you had a bad update and would suggest rolling back the driver to the previous version.
The steps to rolling back a driver are in this document for Device Manager Information for Windows 8.

FPS drops, makes any game unplayable

I haven't messed with any of the hardware. I did hook up some speakers though.
So, for some reason, when I'm running something that normally plays very smoothly (say, STALKER or something) it will, around every 10 minutes, start playing at around 3 fps. which it keeps up for 2-10 minutes, then runs smoothly again. til the next FPS spike.
so I did what anybody would do and started looking up my problem. But, since I don't know exactly what the problem is, the google searches of the symptoms (RANDOM LOW FPS or some other search terms) only turns up unanswered questions on tech help websites. So I did the only thing I actually knew how to do and updated my graphics card driver. which, of course, did nothing.
so, with any help that I might get here, I'd like to figure out
1. what my exact problem is
2. how I can fix it
3. how to prevent it.
and I realize that I haven't really provided that much information, but I'm not terribly tech savvy, and don't actually even know where to start looking.

Download GPU-Z and monitor the video chip temperature. What operating system are you using?
Try the latest video driver from the NVIDIA web site.

A bit of advice for you as a new user. Please refrain from making assumptions and using hyperbole. Both get in the way of providing useful support. Not "everyone" has tried the basics, let alone know what they are. That's why they're here. These first steps in troubleshooting often fix the issue being asked. Reboot your iPad and then try installing the apps again.

You will need to login on the device using the same exact Apple ID that was used to download the app. You can not use abother account login to buy in app purchases to prevent fraud.
If you keep getting this warning, you are not logged into the original account.

IPhone can't find the right back up after updating software

I updated my software a couple of days ago and backed it up 3 times just to be on the safe side. After updating and trying to restore from back up, the correct back up I made on that day is not showing up. So, now my phone is empty, all has been lost!
I went onto iTunes and pressed view, preferences and device and I can see the back up on there which is the one i'm after but it won't let me do anything with it. I have been to my local Apple store, but they are always too busy to give all their attention to you. They ran diagnostics and it said that the back up had been successful, but said they did not know how to help me recover that back up and should just look on google for solutions
Does anyone know how I can recover the back up, as I had all my contacts, pictures, messages, apps, etc on my phone

I figured it out. When I click on the Australian flag on the bottom right of the Home page, I can access the normal home page with music and movies you can search for. I tried the search window after clicking music and the normal songs and albums came up when I searched an artist's name.
I tried purchasing a song but it came up with an error message (I think) in Korean so it looks like I cannot purchase while I am in Korea. This really annoys me.
The Korean iTunes store does not seem to be operating properly. Search comes up with just podcasts and interviews and no songs or albums.
Even after accessing an English language iTunes store you cannot buy because once you click the buy button it comes up with a Korean page with blurb that one cannot understand if you do not speak the lingo. It doesn't look as if the purchase was successful. I am not going to even try again possibly risking buying something and not even knowing I have bought it (as I do not read Korean). Anyway the one time I tested, it didn't look like it was successful. Forget about it. It looks like I will have to find another way to buy songs. If I am to use the iTunes Store I have to wait to move to an English-speaking country. Thanks Apple for nothing!

Try turning off GPU support in your Photoshop's preferences performance section. Also check that you have installed the latest device driver installed for your GT 970 adapter and that all CS6 updates are installed... Your CS6 should be version 13.0.1.3....

No Signal after installing new graphics card

Hello and thanks in advance for your help!
We have a 2yr old HP p6540y. It has an ATI integrated Video Card. When we recently turned it on, we got a 'no signal' message on the monitor and then it would go to sleep. We have tried several things to fix...listed below, in order, and are still getting the same message. Please advise!
1) No Signal: DVI, VGA, HDMI. So we unplugged and restarted, no change.
2) Checked monitor and DVI & VGA cords with another computer: They all work.
3) Installed new Graphics Card: NVIDIA GEForce GT 610. Still got same 'no signal' message.
4) We plugged/unplugged all other cards/cords/anything we could and cleaned out. Then, finally, the monitor turned on! But not for long....
5) After restarting computer after installation of graphics card driver, we got the 'no signal' message again. We once again, pulled out other cards/plugs and again the monitor/computer came to life.
6) We unistalled the integrated ATI graphic card. When we go to Display, Advanced Options, it lists our new NVIDIA as graphic/display card.
7) We turned computer off overnight and this morning when we turned on, we once agin got the 'no signal' message. We unplugged/plugged computer in several times. Also tried the trick with pulling out cards/plugs and we got nothing. No Signal. After doing this several times (about 10), it finally worked again.
8) We changed sleep settings to: Screensaver=Never; Sleep Mode=Never.
9) We restarted again to once again get no signal message.
So...what do we need to do?

I suspect that your problem is caused by the power supply unit (PSU). Here is a guide to help you troubleshoot the problem:

Also, the existing PSU is 250W. The GT 610 requires a minimum of 300W.

It will be removed from your card by your card issuer, which should happen within a few days (it varies by bank, and with the weekend coming up it might take an extra day or two). If you add the card back onto your account then it will get the same temporary charge again - each time that you add or change your card details the charge will be made as it need to confirm that the card is still valid and active.

I have a Macbook Core Du0 1.83ghz running 10.6.3. Each time I watch a video on youtube or watching Flash or other multimedia animations, my fan run super fast.

Watching videos taxes the GPU and CPU. That's why the fan runs faster - to cool the computer. When you aren't doing much the fan slows down. This is true of all the laptops regardless of which GPU is involved.
Since you have the first generation MB model, it runs hotter than later models that incorporated some changes to the cooling system making the fan run faster during idle. You can accomplish a similar result using the third-party fan control software, SMCFanControl - VersionTracker or MacUpdate. It can be used to increase the fan's idle speed to 2000 RPM. This won't make the fan run any slower when the computer heats up.

Consistent FPS drops in all games

I recently started having very consistent lag in games since a few weeks ago. Games report 60+ FPS almost all the time, yet every 5 to 10 seconds, there will be a half second of frozen screen or 1FPS play. It's very annoying, as I know my machine can run these ga,es. My next step is to just format and selectively install my programs back on. Thanks in advance for help.
(adding this in again just for good measure, I know my machine can play these games perfectly, as they worked a couple weeks ago.)

Well I've found a few possibilities, but I haven't found a fix yet. I think it must be related to the temperature after all, as it seems to slow down when it reaches about 85C+. I've read some stuff about 'nvidia powermizer' that seems to fit the problems we're having, but after searching I can't find it on my computer. I'll keep you updated if I get any results.

Just bought my mac mini and set up my apple account. I was trying to pay a game on the game center and after I click on the accept agreement and hit send, it show saving and then it locks up.

just bought my mac mini. loggin into my game center, and after accepting the user agreement, it then saves my options. After trying serveral times, my screen just shows my options are saving and does nothing past this point. even after waiting a very long time.

Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
Or...
Open console in Applications>Utilities, check the system log for the date/time of the last problem & the Startup right after that for clues.
