Frameworkpage

Hi
How to create a new frameworkpage by using the par file
      com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par.bak
     Thanks

Hi,
When importing the com.sap.portal.layouts.framework.par in the NW Developer studio, renaming the par to z.company.portal.layouts.framework.par, the component will NOT be visible in the portal when choosing 'New -> Layout'.
The solution is quite simple :
In the portalapp.xml file, there is for each component (i.e framework, light_framework) defined following entry :
       <property name="com.sap.portal.pcm.Category" value="platform">
          <property name="inheritance" value="final"/>
        </property>
Remove this entry, and voila : your layout component will apear when choosing 'New -> Layout'.

Please reward points if this is helpfull.

Incase you don't have access to service.sap.com/notes then have a look at this. This is the content of SAP Note 869690
    <b>Solution</b>
    1. Logon to the Portal as an Administrator.
    2.  After receiving the error page, replace the URL with the following URL:
    http://<Host Name>:<Host Port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/
    pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage.
    Refresh the page.
This will display the framework page of the portal.
<b>If the default Desktop was deleted do the following to fix it:</b>
    1. Navigate to: System Administration -> Portal Display ->
Desktops & Display Rules -> Portal Content -> Content Provided by SAP -> End User Content -> Standard Portal Users and Copy the Default Portal Desktop as delta link to
Portal Content -> Portal Users -> Standard Portal Users (pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.defaultDesktop).
    2. In the main rule object (pcd:portal_content/administrator/super_admin/main_rules), change the rule to use: pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.defaultDesktop.
<b>If the specific User/Group does not have READ permissions do the following to fix it:</b>
    1. Navigate to System Administration -> Portal Display -> Portal Content ->Portal Users -> Standard Portal Users -> Default Portal Desktop and open the permissions on the object. Check that the Group Everyone has 'Read' permissions on the object.
<b>If there is no Rule assigned to the User/Group do the following to fix it:</b>
    1. Navigate to: System Administration -> Portal Display ->
Desktops & Display Rules, switch to the Search tab, select Rule collection In the Object Type box and click on the search.
    2. Open the Master Rule Collection for Edit and check if there is a Rule set for the user or the group. If not, add new "IF Expression".

  • Error after inital login to EP6 SP4: com.sap.portal.frameworkpage

    Dear all,
I'll be very thankfull if somebody could give me a hint:
    Initially we've installed an EP6 SP3 on WAS 6.40 J2EE SP3. After that we've applied SP4 for the WAS 6.40 and then SP4 for EP6.
When to login to the portal for the first time after installation with the Admin-User "Administrator", i get the following error message:
"error occurred while trying to access framework page: "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/com:sap.portal.frameworkpage", The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it....
Any idea about the problem ?
    Thanks a lot in advance,
    Jörg

    Hello
I had the same message yesterday.
In my case, it cames from a rule in main_rules that mapped the user to an invalid Desktop (in fact, a desktop with an invalid workset).
If you got a user that does not have this problem, you may go to system admin / portal display / rules & desktop. Under super-administration, the objet main_rule is the object to change.
if you can not login with any user, then you may access directly the page using the URL described in

  • Transport custom Frameworkpage

    Hi,
We have customized the masthead iview and added the new masthead iview in a custom frameworkpage. I have set the order of custom masthead iview to top in the framework column under Page Layout of custom framework page. Everything works fine.
Now when i transport this framworkpage to QAS system i find that the order of the framework column is changed and the custom masthead iview lies below TLN.
I cannot modify this on the QAS due to company policy.
How do i transport the correct order of the framework column ?
Source Portal is on EP7 SP13 and destination portal on EP7 SP14.
    Thanks!!

    Hi,
Normally it should not be a problem.
But I am not happy with your environment. Your policy is very rigid wrt to qa but relaxed when it comes to certain other things.
Patch up both Portals to same patch level. Both Portals are not a replica and these can create problems sometimes. One common problem is with regard  to themes.
Please patch up to same level.
    I hope your problem ends.

  • How do change the width of frameworkpage to 800px ?

    Hello experts,
I want to change the width of Portal page to 800 px and display on center,
    like <a href="http://www.sinopec.com.cn/">http://www.sinopec.com.cn/</a> .
Is there anyone had done this?
    Please give me some suggestion.
    BR,
    Jianguo Chen

    Hi,
You have to create your own layout and framework page using that layout and assign this layout to desktop page and assign this desktop page to an user.
    Steps to create new layout

  • Calendar in default frameworkpage

  • Navgation focus in light frameworkpage

    Hello,
I have the following navigation structure in the ep6.0:
    role0
      - FOLDER0 |  ENTRY POINT
        - iView Startpage
    role1
      - FOLDER 1 | MERGE ID: F1 | ENTRY POINT
         - iView 1 | NOT VISIBLE
    role2
      - FOLDER 2 | MERGE ID :F1 | ENTRY POINT
           - iView 2 | NOT VISIBLE | DEFAULT FOR FOLDER
These three roles are both assigend to a user. By setting the merge ID of of role1 & 2 he only has two navigation items: "Startpage" and "Folder 1". When the User clicks a link on the iView2 which should lead him to the (invisible in navigation) iview1, the navigation focus is set on FOLDER 0 of role 0.
The link to the iView1 is role1.FOLDER1.iView1 so in my opinion the navigation nodes should be focused correctly - but they do not!
We don't use the SAP Default Framework Page, instead we use a light framework page. In the Default Framework Page the navigation focus is set correctly!
I hope somebody can help me!
    Thanks & Greetings

    Hello,
thank you both for your replies!
    @Swati:
I checked out this thread and also had implemented a solution like shown there. But the problem is that the width of the content area is still calculated like before. That means the layout is e.g. 800px but the content area is still as wide as in the original version.
    @Ramganesan:
Where are these options? I didn't find such parameters in EP6.
    regards
    Daniel

  • Upgrade SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.0 to 7.3 - Custom coding

    Dear all,
we would like to upgrade an existing SAP NW Portal 7.0 to the latest version 7.3. The current installation contains a number of custom coded portal and Web Dynpro applications. As far as I understand SAP's upgrade guides, documents and notes:
    - Web Dynpro applications of NW 7.0 are source compatible to version 7.3 but not binary compatible and thus need to be manually migrated to the new platform. The manual migration consists of an import of the respective artifacts (DCs) to NetWeaver Developer Studio 7.3 in order to rebuild, re-archive and re-deploy the software.
    - Portal applications developed with Java 1.4.2/J2EE 1.3 (default version of SAP NW 7.0) are generally source and binary compatible to those developed with Java EE 5 (JDK 5/6) in SAP NW 7.3 and thus do not need to be manually migrated. However, the KMC-API and the UME-API used therein have been changed. In case an application uses these APIs, it is necessary to adjust the source code before rebuilding and re-deploying the application.
Is the summary presented above correct? If not, could you please point out which assumption is wrong?
Furthermore, could you please give me any details about changes regarding the portal frameworkpage? We have a highly customized frameworkpage and would like to know in how far the latter will be running on the new portal version.
Thanks for your help and best regards,
    Markus

    Hi Markus
Its been long period since last reply on your reply. In case you haven't yet solved your issues, I hope my reply would help you to some extent.
As per SAP, all those WD Java applications that were developed on NW 7.0 needs to be migrated on NW 7.3 if you plan to make further modifications (on new environment) in these applications.
For migration, all you need to do is migrate the development track, import the track into NWDS 7.3 and migrate the DCs one by one.
However in case of Portal applications, some of our custom portal applications (TLN), worked as it is on NW7.3 but some are not working even after defining new dependencies. Since some of the Classes have been removed, we are working around them.

  • How to start Top-Level Navigation on Level two?

    Hi,
does anyone known a trick how i can start the top-level navigation at Level two?
I make an own frameworkpage and try to set it in the iview properties, but there is not an property for this. it is only for the detailed-navigation iView there.
    For what:
I need this, because i would open an pop-up with an other portal window. I link to the popup with navigation-target=... In this pop-up should only be the content of one role. This folder i have set to "invisible in the navigation area". So the User always see him in a popup. when i start at the default Top-navigation level 1, the user see all the other navigation folders.
    Best regards,
    Patrick

    Hi Patrick,
up to SPS13, this needs some hands on on different parts of the TLN. What I've done this spring was showing all top-level nav targets within a select box in the masthead and then, after having selected one of these entries, the TLN shows just the content of this top level entry. So this is more or less the same. As said, some work to do.
As of SPS14, with the new navigation taglib, I expect this to be much less work; anyhow, I didn't convert the results into SPS14, so I cannot say if this is really as easy as I expect.
    Hope it helps
    Detlev

    Santosh,
What are all the Components that you have deployed using JSPM?
Try to deploy those components using SDM.
I think those components may depend on each other,so that you are facing this issue.
Try to deploy component/patches in a right order using SDM.

  • Portal: Error occured while accessing defaultDesktop;workarounds don't work

    Hello,
After I enter my user id and password in Portal logon screen, I get this error:
"Error occurred while trying to access framework page: "pcd:portal_content/every_user/general/defaultDesktop/frameworkPages/frameworkpage",The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it.If this problem persists, contact your system administrator "....
Environment: BI 7, Stack 15, Sun Solaris
Based on research in sdn.sap.com and service marketplace, I tried these links by replacing server name and port with mine; No success.
    1)
    http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prteventname/Navigate/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!
    2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage and
    2) http://<server>:<port>/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!
    3acom.sap.portal.system!2ftemporaryobjects3!
The error message I get when I execute these links is:
    Portal Runtime Error

    Exception id: 09:47_30/11/07_0011_3236950
See the details for the exception ID in the log file.
    =========================================================
    3) I activated trace for all security related properties based on a note. And I notice these comments in "defaultTrace.12.trc":
    ==========================================================
    [EXCEPTION]

Did anyone experience this situation and/or know how to resolve this issue?
    Thanks,
    BP

    Established environment.
I agree that the master rule set is "supposed" to default to the portal default desktop.
Intentionally no change was made to authorizations. As a matter of fact, I assigned all available roles(SUPER_ADMIN_ROLE is one of them) to my id after I started getting this error. No luck.
Any ideas with this error that I posted in original message? Does this tell you anything at all?
    [EXCEPTION]

    AttributeValuesTable.java:468)
I activated SQLtrace and found this statement which returns 0 record for the attribute number you see above:
Here is the SQL statement and bind parameter's value:
    SELECT
         "ATTR_NAME","ATTR_LARGE_NAME"
    FROM
         "EP_ATTR_NAMES"
    WHERE
         "ATTR_NAME_NUM" = ?1

    Bind Parameters ?1 = 44900
    Thanks.

  • Error occurred while trying to access framework

Did some changes to master rule collection u2013 switched from default desktop to light desktop u2013 and when trying to go back, something went wrong!!!
Error occurred while trying to access framework page: "pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/defaultAjaxframeworkContent/com.sap.portal.afpDesktop/frameworkPages/com.sap.portal.AFPpage",The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it.If this problem persists, contact your system administrator.
Activated SAP* user and logged in, but still the same issue!
    Tried also the following url
    http://myhost:50000/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage
    with the response:
Error component failed , reason : Access is denied: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.frameworkpage - user: Guest, Original Exception : Access is denied: pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/general/com.sap.portal.frameworkpage - user: Guest,
    What next to do?

    Dear Customer,
Try to access the Default Framework using the following paterns:
    Default framework page: /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fcom.sap.pct!2fevery_user!2fgeneral!2fcom.sap.portal.frameworkpage
    Desktop & Display rules: /irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/pcd!3aportal_content!2fadministrator!2fsystem_admin!2fsystem_admin_role!2fcom.sap.portal.system_admin_ws!2fcom.sap.portal.themes!2fcom.sap.portal.portalDisplayRules
This can be used whenever the desktop assignment to the user which you are logging on with has been removed somehow. If this occurs, the user won't be able to see any content after logging on to the portal and the following error will be shown: "Error occurred while trying to access desktop: "portal_content/themes/sap_chrome". The object does not exist or you are not authorized to access it. If this problem persists, contact your system administrator."
If this occurs, you can use the address above to restore the desktop rules at least for your user so that you can log on to the portal again with no problems.
    Best Regards,
    Fabio Sarmento
