Franch font (character) in  text field  OraReports

I'm from Croatia and I have a problem to create in Oracle Reports 6i, text field in which we have the sign character of the French language:
Ä  ê  ï  à - examp
Does anyone have a solution?
Please note that this is a text field, not data from the database.
Since I'm new to OraReport, please be understandable and applicable explanation.
Thanks

Scott,
Instead of re-create what I have onto apex.oracle.com, here is ATD's similar example that I am trying to do:
http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=56976:1, My case is similar to his mutiple values.
But instead of following his example, I had already done it in this way:
Use select list with submit, invoke after submit process to populate the display fields. But the submit blanks out those newly entered data, therefore I set all values in the branch after submit.
I would like to following ATD's example, but I have two questions:
1. What type of select list is it?
2. GetElementsByTagName("ENAME"), is ENAME the label of a column?
Thanks,
Yivon

  • Embed Fonts in Dynamic Text Fields

    Hey, I am relatively new around here although I've been a
    member for years. I am just now starting to utilize my account. I
    do have a question in regards to embedding fonts in Flash 8. I have
    read up on this numerous places and haven't been able to find a
    solution that works for me, whether this my user error or not is
    still TBD.
    I am loading text from a XML document into Flash dynamic text
    fields. I need to be using a handwritting font for these text
    fields. After embedding the handwritten font they are not
    displaying in my dynamic fields but are displaying in my static
    text fields that am I also using on the site. I am controlling my
    dynamic text fields w/ an external stylesheet. I believe I must do
    something "additional" for these dynamic text fields but haven't
    figured out what that is, any help anyone can offer is much
    appreciated! Thanks.

    the question is a bit too general. There are many ways to
    approach it, from copies
    of text fields with that font off stage, to embedded outlines
    and linkage in the library.
    My guess is that somewhere on the way you did not fully
    complete the outline embed options.
    Either done incorrectly or you miss some action.
    Mind to post detail explanation how you embed the outlines?
    Best if you post an example
    file for us to check.

  • Setting Character Limits or Font Size in Text Fields In Forms

    Hi everyone.  I've created a form but the problem is that people are changing the font size in order to fit mrore into the locked text fields.  I want to create either a chaacter limit or lock the font size as to prevent people from changing around the forms.
    Thanks for your help.

    ^^ In the instructions?  Or is there a way to do that in Acrobat?

  • Text jumps after embedding font in dynamic text field!

    Hi
    this is driving me mad
    Im using a standard font (Gotham rounded) within a dynamic text field. As soon as I embed the numerals within this text field the text lowers within the text field.  Double clicking the field then renders the text higher up!  It seems that the height it shows when I double click is the height it compiles at.
    The other strange and annoying thing is that my colleague working on the same project is using the exact same font and same file but this doesnt happen to him and so the font redners out differently when he compiles!
    Could anybody please help me sort this problem out as its reeeeally annoying
    many thanks!

    nobody any ideas?!

  • Font size in text fields

    Is there a way to change the font size in a text box or text field on every webpage through one of the prefrences? I have looked on the forums here and searched Google, but could not find any answers.
    MacBook   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

    One other thought,
    You can temporarily increase/decrease the font size on any page (also, affects all pages opened in a specific tab) by Apple Key plus the + sign for an increase, or the - sign for smaller text.
    Same too can be accomplished by using the "text size" icon in the toolbar. If one is not there, go to the View Menu>Customize Address Bar, dragging the "text size" icon to the tool bar. Select "done" on the panel.

  • End user have ability to change font style in text field of interactive pdf form?

    Does the end user of an interactive pdf form able to change the font style, i.e.: make something bold or underline a word in a text field?
    I am making a form with text fields and the end user would like the ability to make something bold or underline it.. I do not see anywhere in acrobat that allows styles to be changed.
    I have created the form in Indesign > saved it as an interactive pdf and brought it into Acrobat.

    Thank you for the quick response! Do you set this in Indesign before exporting or do you set this in Acrobat? I am in Acrobat 10.1.10 and when I go to properties it doesn't give me  'options' to choose from.

  • Automate replacing font in a text field in thousands of documents

    Hi,
         We recently discovered that bar codes we use on our forms do not scan accurately when printed on certain types of prined. To resolve this issue, we replaced this font with a new font.
    Going forward any new form that we create will use the new font. But we have thousands and thousands of existing forms with the old bar codes. Can anyone give any suggestion on how to automate changing the bar code fonts in this forms.
    If we manage to automate this, we will save months of manual effort.
    Please get back to me if you have any suggestions that might help us.
    Thanks for your time and help
    - George

    I answered my own question regarding this with the following code
    1. Set the TextField value to a variable strChar
    2. Based on the indexOf value of strChar "UserName: Some UseName" which is 9.
    3. Separate the first 9 chars using a Left javascript function and assign the to a variable strLeftChar = "UserName"
    4. Separate the remainig chars using a Right javascript function and assign the to a variable strLRightChar = "Some UserName"
    5. Then do the following:
    //Make the caption visible
    pricingNodes.item(i).caption.presence = "visible"
    //Set the text field caption text equal to strLeft
    pricingNodes.item(i).caption.value.text.value = strLeft;
    //set the text field value text equal to strRight
    pricingNodes.item(i).rawValue = " " + strRight;
    //set the caption font weight equal to bold
    pricingNodes.item(i).caption.font.weight = "bold";
    Not that neat as a solution, but it does the job if this helps anyone.

  • Embedding fonts in dynamic text fields

    I am having trouble embedding a font in my Flash file. I have the font in my library. I have the text field selected to that font with the * next to it.
    In my actions I have:
    vid_title_txt.embedFonts = true;
    If I set it to false instead, it shows a different font. But if it is set to true, nothing shows. I am running out of ideas what to look at to solve this issue. What am I doing wrong here?
    Thank you very much for any help with this!

    I am in AS2.
    I followed these steps.
    Open the Library panel (Ctrl+L).
    Add a font to your library - click the options menu in the upper right corner of the panel and select New Font from the menu.
    In the Font Symbol Properties dialog box select the font, size and style that you want and give the font combination a name. Click OK to close the dialog box.
    Right-click the font symbol in the library and select Linkage from the contextual menu.
    In the Linkage Properties dialog box, click the Export for ActionScript button to enable both the Identifier and AS 2.0 Class text input fields. Leave the default Identifier value and click OK to close the dialog box.
    Select the text tool from the Tools panel and draw a dynamic text field on the Stage.
    Give the text field an instance name of "my_txt". In the Font menu select the symbol name you gave the embedded font earlier. You should see a little asterisk (*) beside the name.
    In the Property inspector set the font size and style to match those in the Font Symbol Properties dialog box earlier.
    Open the Actions Panel and add the following code to Frame 1 of your Flash document:
    my_txt.embedFonts = true;
    my_txt._rotation = 15;
    my_txt._alpha = 10;

  • Bold and italic fonts in dynamic text fields.

    I have a dynamic text field with the text "IMAGES". The font
    is Arial, it has BOLD and ITALIC checked, and has basic Latin fonts
    embedded. Now, I use Actionscript to change the text:
    textField.text = "IMAGES";
    Suddenly the text disappears! Now, it seems to me that since
    BOLD and ITALIC are checked on the text field, changing the .text
    value should simply change the text itself, which should then be
    rendered in bold and italic, and since I have bold+italic Latin
    glyphs embedded, it should display properly. But what's clearly
    happening is that when I set the text using Actionscript, it is
    attempting to display the NORMAL font instead, and since it's not
    embedded, it won't display. I know this because if I create another
    proxy text field off the screen and embed the NORMAL Arial glyphs,
    the original text field's text will display just fine - as
    normal-weight text.
    But why is this? Do I have to use a TextFormat object to set
    the text to Bold and Italic EVERY time I want to dynamicaly change
    the text? This seems silly. I simply want my text field to be bold
    and italic every time the text changes, and NO normal text!
    Any ideas?

    I met the same problem using ActionScript3 and Flash Professional CS5. There are two problems with dynamic TextFields:
    - When you set style "Bold" for a text field in CS5, the "bold" property is not available in the TextField object in ActionScript, its defaultTextFormat.bold is alway false; I don't know if we can get this property anywhere else.
    - When you change the text of the dynamic TextField object, its style changes to normal no matter whether it was bold previously.
    This is really a bug in TextField, Adobe should fix this to implement TextField in an expected way.

  • Change font colour in Text Field

    If I have typed 'The Cat Sat On The Mat' into a text field yet I want 'The Cat' to appear in bold  and the rest as normal, how can I do this or even in a different colour?
    Any help would be appreciated

    The only way to do this, is a text field that you change from plain text to rich text.
    Then you can enter what you want, press ctrl+b to make something bold.
    If you want to see the content of your box, use TextField.value.exData.saveXML() ...

  • Splitting of text fields when using multiple fonts within a text field and exporting it to XFL.

    Hi All,
    I have been trying out  InDesign and exported files to XFL for use in Flash. If I use a single font for a text box then everything looks fine in flash, but if  I use multiple fonts for the same text box its split into multiple text boxes. For making this more clear I have attached an image.
    Any help to resolve this!!!

    Paragraph styles are tied to the paragraph, not the page.
    You don't say which version you are using, but here's something you could try in CS3 or CS4. Set up a baseline grid in the preferences to match the main pages. The spacing should match the leading of the body text. Make a special paragraph style (you can base it on the body text style) that you will apply to text onthe chapter start page, and as part of that style set it to align to baseline grid. Now for the trick. Select the  text frame onthe start page and define a custom baseline grid with the spacing you want. Save it as an object style, too, while you're at it. The strating text should align to the custom grid on the start page and the documetn grid on the next page.

  • Character & in text field or textarea

    In a page, I have '&' in text field/textarea. I also have select list with submit. When select list changes value, the submit invokes a branch, which I set the values of the text field/text area to itself to avoid values disappear before applying changes.
    If the text field/textarea has & sign in there, every time if I change value in the select list, it adds 'amp;' right after '&'. How do I avoid that?
    Thanks,

    Scott,
    Instead of re-create what I have onto apex.oracle.com, here is ATD's similar example that I am trying to do:
    http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=56976:1, My case is similar to his mutiple values.
    Thanks,
    Yivon

  • How to change the font in a text field?

    I am trying to recreate a file like this:
    http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Thank-You-Cards-for-Volunteers-Freebie-Editable Customizable-696763
    I originally created the file in Powerpoint, saved as a PDF, brought it into Adobe Pro XI for Mac.  I edit it in forms, and add a text form field, which inserts a blue box, with text1 in the middle.  How do I replace that with different font and size, in the above example, she has a different font in a larger size.  When I look at the properties, I am limited up to 8 point font.  I have been at this for hours now, so any help would be greatly appreciated, especially step by step.  Thanks.

    Click on each field and the choose Properties from either File menu (or if on Mac hold dow mouse button until context menu appears choose properties)
    go to Font
    choose desired size and type font,you can choose to make this the default.
    Do this with each field.
    Or if you have a lot of fields:
    while one is selected select all of them
    then go to fonts in properties
    change Font and size and make default.

  • Embed font in editable text field

    Hi,
    I am trying to embed a font into an editable text box. There is no other type on the page so there are no fonts to choose to embed from the FONT folder. How do I embed the font? I hope that is clear...
    Thanks a bunch!
    Linda

    It happens automatically when you save the file, if the font's license
    allows it, of course.
