Freight & Insurance charges in po

Hi,
How to add freight charges & insurance charges in PO? here, only purchasing & ineventory modules.
here they are following avg. costing.
Pls help me.
Thanks in advance.

Hi
As far as Frgt and Insrn is concerned, you need to set up in Overheads, which will capture while doing your pre accounting processor.
There is one more additional feature in R12 calles LCM, Landed Cost Management which tells
Oracle LCM illuminates the hidden costs associated with complex supply chains. It automatically captures and itemizes extended costs and charges such as freight, insurance, and brokerage fees as well as duties and taxes. Oracle LCM then immediately updates Inventory costs, which replaces the system’s standard PO cost with the new landed cost as the basis for cost method calculations. This provides better item cost tracking and creates more accurate profitability reports. Furthermore, LCM users can identify additional cost reduction opportunities simply by viewing the per unit breakdown of the item’s various cost factors or elements.
Thus ,
Landed cost = Purchase Price + Freight Charges + Octroi + Labor charges for loading and unloading + Taxes. (Also includes Insurance)
Landed Cost = Purchase cost+overheads+Freight+Insurance
Hope this will help u.

Raj

  • How to calculate freight, handling, insurance charges for PO

    Hi expert,
I need to show the details of PO with tax and freight, handling, insurance charges for purchase order. I calculated the tax amount of PO using CALCULATE_TAX_ITEM. but i don't know to calculate the freight and those charges. Guide me what table i have to be use or any other function module is there to calculate those charges. KONV is the table for conditions. how can i fetch those charges from these table using ebeln and ebelp fields.
    Regards,
    Rathish

First you have to select Doc condition number (KNUMV) for each PO from EKKO table...then for the same KNUMV run KONV....here against each KNUMV-KPOSN (here KPOSN = EBELP)you will find the condition types & value...in the rport i think you have to hardcoat the condition types

  • AR Down Payment and Freight/Additional Charges

We have several clients that would like the following functionallity:
When creating and AR Down Payment Invoice form a Sales Order, the Freight/Additional expenses should be populated.
The fields should be active so users can apply partial payments and the amounts reduce the open balance on the Sales Order appropriately, leaving the Sales Order open for adjustment (i.e. increased frieght charge)
This function should work as all other marketing documents do, allowing the mentioned fields to be drawn to the AR Down Payment.
    Thanks,
    Dean

I have a business case example.
My client, who only sells to distributors, so no sales tax is charged, has a web site that enables their customers to purchase products and pay for them using a credit card.  Most products are priced to include freight, insurance, and handling charges.  However, if the customer wants the product shipped over night, they can pay an additional freight charge.  The Web site then forwards a sales order to the manufacturing site with the ordered item number and a flat rate shipping charge for over night delivery.  The sales order is created in SAP B1 and since the order has been pre-paid, the special orders representative that manages these orders, creates a down payment invoice and enters a payment for the full amount of the order including the freight charge.  When the actual invoice is created later, it is saved as a draft so that the special orders representative can drawn from the down payment invoice.  But, since only the item price amount can be drawn, the freight charge has to be handled with an internal reconciliation.

  • Freight/Other Charges to be included for 100% Downpayment Invoice

    Hi
Currently in SAP 2007 version, where Freight/Other Charges is concerned, the information will not be copied/drawn to Down Payment Invoice. These charges will only be included in the final A/R Invoice.
Even for 100% DownPayment Invoice, the freight/other charges is not copied/drawn.
Does SAP has any maproad that in newer versions, this feature where 100% downpayment is concerned, the Freight/Other charges can be included.
    Thank you
    Regards
    Siew Yuen

    Hi Siew Yuen,
In common sense, downpayment would normally < 100%.  Otherwise, it should be treated as reserved invoice or deposit.
Therefore, I don't think in any near future you could get the function you desired.
    Thanks,
    Gordon

Yes you can add any condition during invoice verification in MIRO.
After entering a PO number in MIRO click on PO references tab & scroll right, you will get one icon of Edit own condition.
Click on Edit own condition & add your conditions(freight, Handling charges)

  • Inventory valuation with Duty, Freight & Insurance Breakdown

    Hi
We are implementing ECC 6.0 with EHP4. EHP5 is ruledout for this implementation. Business requirement is as follows:
    Background:
Our US company is a holding company for many LATAM subs but our company is a subsidary of an Asian company.
We are a trading company and imports most items. Whatever we import we sell except a few products, which are converted into new products by using the same imported goods and some labor and sell. Trading is our main business & Product conversion is a very small part of our business.
We export the imported products to our LATAM subs.
    Requirement:
Material needs to have price control - V. We cannot use Standard Price as per industry norms and SAP also recommends the same.
For imports, there are 4 cost components - Material Cost, plus Duty, Freight & Insurance (DFI). PO's are created only for Material costs and excludes DFI . Most imports are from single source - our parent company. Single Shipping is done for about 100+ PO's. When we receive goods, we also get information about DFI payments and DFI is allocated based on material weight. Inventory has to be posted to Material GL at Material value,  and DFI has to be posted individually to different GL accounts.
    Material Inventory account $100
    Duty Inventory account      $  10
    Freight Inventory account  $    5
    Insurance Inventory account   2
Total of all these different accounts will be is considered as Inventory in FSV.
When goods are issued for shipping (Sales), then expected entries are:
    COGS  account Debit $ 117
    Material Inventory account credit  $100
Duty Inventory account    credit  $  10
Freight Inventory account credit $    5
    Insurance Inventory account  credit 2
DFI needs to be at actuals and not at Standard Price. When LATAM subs reports to us or when we report to Asian Holding company, we have to give the same break up for COGS and also for inventory. That is our Parent company's requirement in Asia.
How can we make this possible? Please give your thoughts.
    Thanks
    Vijay

    Hi
You can inventorize all these components into the Inventory GL account. which means your inventory value would be 117 and not 100... While selling, the COGS will be composite of all of these items. You cant account them in separate GL accounts as you want

  • Interfacing Zero Dollar Freight & special charge lines to AR

I have a requirement where Freight lines in the price adjustments table in OM are of $0.00 and they need to be sent to AR and create invoice lines. However, what I am seeing is that when the line is interfaced to AR, the Freight line is not created on the invoice. Only if there is a Freight Charge line with a value greater than zero, does it interface to AR and show up on the invoice.
Is there a way to fix this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Susan:
Your best bet is to create a modifier. Set up a qualifier context of type territory and point that to the appropriate territory.
Attach a qualifier at either the header or line level and point this to the sales territory.
You may have a use the get_custom_price package and write your own code to calculate the total order amount. You can store this amount in another qualifier context.
Now in the modifier you created add another qualifier - for the dollar amount. The condition would be to apply this amount only if the order value exceeds a certain.
The advantage of this process is that the program will return the dollar amount on the order. You can set up line modifiers to have varying freight charges based on the amount and territories.
    Hope this helps.

  • Issues with Freight delivery charges when the PO is partially received

We are having issues allocating charges for inventory valuation as well as rolling up total freight for payable invoices.  We will receive partial POu2019s (via inbound delivery) with related freight for that portion.  Then a couple of weeks later we will receive another segment of the PO (via inbound delivery) with more freight on it.  It would be ideal if the inbound deliveries allowed us to allocate freight on the document similar to how we do with outbound deliveries but that does not appear to be an option.
Using the freight Condition at header level works great only when when the PO is full received, on partial GR's it should exist an additional solution for it.
Once the user process the first Goods Receipts, the header condition become blocked or it is gray out (It doesn't allow changes to add more freight to cover the Items we haven't receive.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi,
We can handle this using unplanned delivery costs at the time of invoice.
You can opt for GR based invoice verification. With this we can enter invoice for each goods receipt. When we enter invoice for a partial GR quantity the frieght amount portion that is mentioned in the PO is automatically captured for that perticular portion of inventory. For the subsequent receipts if there is any additional frieght than the planned delivery cost, that can be provided as unplanned delivery cost in the invoice for the perticular portion of inventory.

  • Fixed Freight/Transportation charges per invoice

    Hello all,
    Scenario:
We procure sheet metal for our fabrication plant.
The vendor charges a fixed amount of freight per invoice/shipment regardless of the quantity of the items or the number of different items.
Is it possible to have a fixed delivery charge per invoice - not related to the number of items or their quantities.
    Thank you.
    S Datar

    Hi,
the fixed charge per PO is set on the PO header conditions using a condition type that does not depend on the qty involved.
But the normal way for the costs to be managed (both on the PO and in MIRO) is to spread the costs across the lines of the invoice.
You could always consider just posing an extra PO line for these costs?
You can also set the system to use a gl for the unplanned delivery costs in MIRO instead of spreading them across the PO lines. (SPRO - MM > Logistics Invoice Verification > Incoming Invoice > Configure how unplanned delivery costs are processed. Just set the flag to a 2 on the company code you are using and the costs don't get spread anymore, they just get posted as an extra GL line.

  • Diffence between Freight & Shipping charges

    Dear sd experts
i know we when ever we want to Add some Transporting charges to customer we can use Freight Condition types KF00
And another process is shipment process FB00-Tk11
in both scenarios we add Transporting charges like 300 tons 50 rs --350 tons 80 rs like this
May i know exact what is difference i mean when we use only Freight and when we use only Shipment process
    Thnaks

    Hi Amith
We use shipment process to have clear distinction of cost and freight occurrence at each leg...For example if your shipment includes involvement of rail, road , air and sea.For each mode you have different vendor and you want to capture cost for each mode as well as you want to charge based on this cost to customer then shipment process will be the best bet but if you want to charge fixed freight charges to a customer then directly determine freight condition KF00 in a sales order.
Usually companies adopt shipment process to analyze and reduce cost involved in shipment by optimizing routes and deliveries of multiple customer. They plan to deliver different orders in one shipment and load orders in a truck based On LIFO..I.e. last in first out principle.
Let us know your thoughts or if you have any doubts.

  • Service master for freight, pallet charges instead of SD Condition types

    HI SD experts,
In our project, we are using service master (eg: MDELIVERY etc.,) for capturing delivery charges instead of SD condition type.
Now, we are considering to change the practice and use SD condition type instead, for delivery charges. This is required now, since we are planning to post from SD to CO-PA.
What am trying understand is, why service masters are used in the first place instead of SD condition type for delivery charges? Could some one through some light from logistics perspective on what is the logic for using service masters.
    Thanks for your time.

    Hi,
I suggest you go for SD condition,
Add one more frieght condition in your existiong pricing procedure, and you can flow this condition value to COPA.
If you want to bill actual fright charges to customer in addition of material price then you have to explore TRANSPORTATION Module.

  • Service PO with Freight/ Insurance Condition- Invoice posting

    Hi,
I'm using ECC6.0 version. I'm getting one problem in External Services Procurement.
    Issue is:
    1. Created a Service PO. Item Detail level, maintaines 1 text service with 10 Qty @ 50 INR.
    2. In PO item Conditions tab, maintained Insurance condition (which is created by copying Frt. Condition FRB1) with say Rs. 100/-. Actually this should be levied on the overall item level at item overview Qty (i.e. 1 AU).
    3. I made Service Entry, Acceptance.3.
At the time of Invoice posting, when I choose Goods/Services+ Plannd Del. costs, system proposing 5,000 ( 10 qty x 100 inr), instead of showing 100 inr. i.e. system proposing sub item qty times insurance.
Is there any setting to control this price?
    Regards,
    Kanth

    Hi Sujit,
We can't maintain it as Header Condition because for service PO just like other POs, some times we may maintain more than 1 item which covers different Rates.
    Please check my scenario
