FRM-90928 in form 9i

Hi
I am trying to run a form from form 9i, build in form 6i
error showing FRM-90928, how can i do the same

Make sure the directory where you store your fmb/fmx files does not contain spaces.
E.g. replace "c:\my fmx files" with "c:\my_fmx_files"
Hope this helps

  • Can anyone tell me whar error frm 90928 on forms is?

    hello all:
    i try to run forms and an error appear when trying to load the applet.
    the error is:
    frm - 90928 positional parameter after key on command line.
    and what can i do to solve that error.
    Thanks

    I had the same problem when I first installed and ran 9i Developer Suite in Windows XP. I tried an easy tutorial project but kept getting Error 90928 when I tried to "Run Form".
    The problem was that I was storing my Forms files under directories with spaces in the name, i.e. My Documents -> Oracle Development ... Forms Builder substituted those whitespaces with the string "%20" in the URL parameter list and this was throwing things off.
    I solved the problem by just creating a root directory with no spaces, "C:\OraDev", and I store my .fmb and .fmx files there.
    Hope this helps

  • FRM-90928 error when executing a form

    After installing the Oracle 9i Developer suite, I tried to run a simple form for the first time but I keep getting the following error:
    "FRM-90928:Position parameter after keyword in the commandline."
    Could anybody has any idea on how to fix this. Any help will be appreciated!
    Thanks,
    MS.

    Maybe it's because your form is located in a directory with spaces in it, like "d:\trail forms\...."
    Try to place the form in a directory without spaces.

    frm-90928 positional parameter after key on command line
    I have an error while i run form module. i am using database 9i with 9iDS. Plz help me to resolve this issue.

    Exactly Francois, 100% true.
    I've noticed that the Forms Builder tries to run the unsaved forms from the user's default home (root) directory, which almost always in windows environment has spaces in it, like "Documents and Settings\...".

    Ahmad,
    is the Forms fmx located in a directory that has a blank (gap) in its path name. E.g. "c:\program files" will cause this problem while "c:\programFiles" wont.

  • About Error FRM-90928 on Forms9i

    Hello,
    I have created a simple module with the data bloc wizard,i have choiced a simple table(customers),and compiled it succefuly, but when i run it,the error FRM-90928 appears, i don't understand this problem,please give me a solution,thanks.

    Rachid,
    as this is you first question on this forum, allow me to give you a hint on how to achieve the best results for your questions:
    1. provide full error messages. E.g FRM-90928 doesn't come by itself but has an associated message that people here on teh list might remember more easily than the error number
    2. always describe context (e.g. Forms version you are running, operation system)
    To answer your question: The directory in which you saved teh Forms fmb module obviously has a blank in it like in c:\program files\myforms. This causes the error you mention in your question.
    To solve this issue, save the fmb file in a directory that doesn't have blanks in its path, compile it and run it again.
    Hope it helps

  • FRM-92102 in Forms using Webutil with JInitiator

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm facing the error FRM-92102 in Forms in some clients, that's driving my crazy. The facts are:
    * Oracle Application Server 10g R2 10.1.2 with Patchset 10.1.2.2.0 applied (left to apply patchset as doc 404477.1 in Metalink) on Windows 2003 Server Std. Ed. 64 bits.
    * JInitiator 1.3.1.26 on all clients (Windows XP and Windows 2000)
    * WebUtil 10.1.2.2
    * heartBeat = 35, set in App's section of formsweb.cfg
    * networkRetries = 60 in App's section of formsweb.cfg
    * Modified versions of baseHTMLjinitiator(to be used with JInitiator) and baseHTMLjpi to take into account the heartBeat and networkRetries parameters.
    * FORMS_TIMEOUT set to 30 in application.env
    I've seen that this error happens with Windows XP clients only (with SP2 and/or SP3 applied), while in Windows 2000 with SP4 I get no error at all and the Form works and ens without any problem.
    I've seen that increasing networkRetries parameter increase the likelihood of Forms to end normally, but that doesn't seem a good solution: at which value must I bring it to ?
    The captured Java console of one of this errors is as follows:

    Hi Michael,
    I've done what the Microsoft note states and the error takes longer to appear, but it does.
    I've done some netstat -an captures before using the Forms App (before the error) and after. Here are:

  • Where can I find a full list of FRM Errors for forms 9i?

    Where can I find a full list of FRM Errors for Forms 9i?
    I have installed Forms 9i + the documentation CD but it has very little documentation on forms, just lots of J2EE stuff.

    Look in the Forms - Builder help. There you find a lot about Forms - Error.

  • FRM-40735:PRE-FORM trigger raised unhandled expception ORA-06508-SATYAM

    Hi,
    This is Sateesh, presently working on Designer migration project from Designer 2000 V1.3.2 to Designer 10g with headstart.I successfully completed the migration of repository from 1.3.2 to 6i and also migrated the headstart to 6i using simple upgrade method.After this i successfully migrated the repository from 6i to 10g and I compiled all the libraries using forms10g and then i generated all the 10g forms through designer.then 10g forms and libraries are deployed in Oracle Application Server and then we are trying to access the application then we are getting the messsage for most of the forms, i.e FRM-40735:PRE-FORM trigger raised unhandled expception ORA-06508. Can you please help me out in this regard.
    Regards
    K.Sateesh Kumar

    Yes,
    that's right. FRM-40735 is a generic error message generated in case of form failure.
    This may be as a result of failure while calling sub-programs in a form or any other problem.
    For my case I had a call to a built in Package for which the user didnt have the privileges to execute that package.
    So how did I find out?
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN OTHERS THEN
    MESSAGE('SQLERRM: ' || SQLERRM);
    exception handling does the trick. I got the real error that was causing the problem.
    Error was: SQLERRM: xxx package does not exist. This made me think in the lines of either privileges or synonym problem. I found out that the user in the db doent have the execution privileges.
    GRANT ALL ON xxxpackage TO xxxuser;
    This is a nice forum. I love it and thanks to everyone.

  • How to deploy forms? Or: FRM-92101 on Forms 10g (10.1.2.0.2)

    Hello,
    we have a problem with deploying changed FMX-Files.
    We work with an OAS 10.1.2.0.2 and the Developer Suite 10.1.2.0.2. The Compilation works fine with frmcmp_batch.sh on the server (Linux X86).
    And these Files are accessible within the JInitiator-Applet. All fine.
    But now there's the problem: If anyone has opened a FMX-File within JInitiator and this FMX-File is compiled again, the compilation is successful but the access on this form is not. The user only get an error
    FRM-92101: There was a failure in the Forms Server during startup. This could happen due to invalid configuration.
    Please look into the web-server log file for detatails.
    Details...
    Java Exception:
    oracle.forms.net.ConnectionException: Forms.session <46> aborted: unable to communicate with runtime process.
    at ...
    I remember, there was an equivalent problem under 9i and the solution there was to set the FORMS90_MMAP-Variable. Under 10g there is no such setting. (and this is clearly no solution)
    Now my question: There had to be a way to treat this problem. And all of the Forms-Developer had to have the same problem. I would be very happy if anybody could tell here how to deploy correctly.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Ralf

    Yes, indeed.
    We want to change fmx-files in a running installation because the functionality of the forms have to change, errors have to be corrected and so on.
    I read the suggestions in Note 286762.1, but honestly I think it is to complicated in a development team to handle with two or more directories and to make clear, which one is the production-directory
    I think this could not be the only possibility.
    We thought about this:
    - we have a development directory, a "waiting" directory and a productivity-directory.
    The process could be:
    - compiling in the development directory
    - checking, if the fmx-file is in use (with lsof)
    - if the fmx-file is in use, the fmx-file will be transferred into the "waiting" directory
    - it the fmx-file is not in use, it will be transferred into the productivity-directory
    - in regular intervalls a job has to test, if the files in the "waiting" directory are freed. If so they will be transferred, else not.
    Only if changes are needed to do immediately (e.g. heavily errors), the fmx-file can be moved manually in the productivity-directory.
    But this is only our idea. I thought there has to be a standard deployment-strategy from Oracle or better ideas from other developers.
    Perhaps someone has a even better suggestion for us.
    Many thanks in advance for every idea,
    Ralf

  • FRM-40010 in Forms 9i

    OPEN_FORM results in FRM-40010 Cannot read form etc.
    I ave just installed/started using Forms 9i . Calling form exists and runs OK. Called form saved/compiled in same folder - however FRM-40010 keeps appearing .
    Suggestions anyone ?
    Any help would be much appreciated - thanks

    Thanks - but this doesn't seem to be the case.
    I found that what DID work is to name the full path name of the form - e.g.
    CALL_FORM ('C:\OraDev\MY_FORM');
    The above statement works OK - but it's going to a major hassle coding in the full path for every form. One possible answer would be to hold it in a global variable.
    Any further thoughts about this one (i.e. what's causing it in the first place?).

  • Frm-40010 in forms 10g

    Hi.
    I'm configuring Oracle Application Server Forms and Reports Services. I want to place form files in a directory different form $ORACLE_HOME/forms. If i place the files in another directory I get frm-40010.
    I already changed the default.env file from the Forms Edit Environment File of OEM Application Server Control:
    FORMS_PATH = /home/oracle/OraHome_2/forms;/home/appls
    If i mv a form from /home/oracle/OraHome_2/forms(my oracle home) to /home/appls frm-40010 pops up.
    - What am i missing?.
    - I haven't defined FORMS_PATH in .bash_profile in my Oracle account.
    - The box is running Red Hat Linux.

    Steve, we do the same for LD_LIBRARY_PATH on unix (Solaris, Linux, etc) also. We use : instead of ; on the unix platform for defining PATHs (except the path variable itself for which you can use \ at the end of each line).
    examples (from a .cshrc file):
    setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH "${APACHEHOME}/lib:${APACHEHOME}/libexec:${JTLSHOME}/lib/${JPLATFORM}/lib:/usr/lib:/lib:/usr/local/lib:${SIMHOME}/lib:${JAVA_HOME}/lib:/usr/X11R6/lib:${ORACLE_HOME}/network/lib:${ORACLE_HOME}/lib:${ORACLE_HOME}/network/jre11/lib.native_threads:$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386:$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/client:$JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/i386/native_threads"
    set path=(. \
    $ORACLE_HOME/bin \
    $ORACLE_HOME/orainst \
    $ACROHOME/bin \
    $SIMHOME/bin \
    $MOTIFHOME/bin \
    $JAVA_HOME/bin \
    /bin \

    Hi,
    To use the Webutil, you must sign the WEBUTIL.JAR and JACOB.JAR.
    Using Jarsigner, you have to define the JDK Home and the Jinitiator home.
    I used whe jdk version 1.4.2 and the Jinitiator version 1.3.1.17
    Don't forget to apply this modification.
    Insert the line
    <virtual-directory virtual-path="/webutil" real-path="D:\Forms9i\forms90\webutil" />
    in the file
    $ORACLE_HOME$\j2ee\Oracle9iDS\application-deployments\forms\forms90web\orion-web.xml
    Insert the line
    AliasMatch ^/forms90/webutil/(..*) "D:\Forms9i\forms90\webutil/$1"
    in the file
    $ORACLE_HOME$/forms90/server/forms90.conf
    Of course You have to replace D:\forms9i with your Oracle Home.
