FRM-92050 - After patch 10
I have applied patch 10 to my 9ias web server and all the services were started back up successfully (forms server, http and reports server). Now when I attempt to access the forms via the web I get the FRM-92050 error. Looking at the config files I can't see anything different, but something must of changed can anybody help me.
Thanks

Did u try restore the OCR?

The steps to apply RAC patch were followed correctly?

FRM-92050 error when trying to open form after switching to HTTP mode
Hi all,
Yesterday, I installed Oracle Applications 11i on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4 and forms were working correctly in the default mode, which is native (socket). Following steps 4 and 5 in [Doc 201340.1|https://metalink2.oracle.com/metalink/plsql/f?p=130:14:6398415066875997204::::p14_database_id,p14_docid,p14_show_header,p14_show_help,p14_black_frame,p14_font:NOT,201340.1,1,1,1,helvetica], I enabled HTTP mode, and now my forms are not working. When I open a form now, I get this error:
FRM-92050: Failed to connect to the Server: /forms/formservlet:-1
Details...
Java Exception:
java.io.IOException: Negative content-length from http://...
I've searched MetaLink and the forums for this error and all the results I found deal with HTTP headers or cookies being corrupted, usually by an intermediate networking device (web proxy, web cache, SSL accelerator, etc.). I am not using anything of the sort - the client is connecting directly to the Oracle server.
I checked the Apache error log and this is what I see:
[Thu May 14 09:10:28 2009] [error] [client 10.11.1.114] client denied by server configuration: /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java

I don't like the look of those "client denied by server configuration" messages. What's also odd is that the two files referenced by those messages do not exist on the file system:
[oracle@gen1-cs49 logs]$ cat /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java
cat: /work/oracle/viscomn/java/java: No such file or directory
[oracle@gen1-cs49 logs]$ cat /work/oracle/viscomn/java/oracle/ewt
cat: /work/oracle/viscomn/java/oracle/ewt: No such file or directory
Any ideas? Are there any other logfiles I should be checking?First, login to System Administrator responsibility, then navigate to Concurrent > Manager > Administer > Processes > Internal Manager LogAh, OK - I was able to open the form and I see a table of managers and services and whatnot, and I see an entry for "Internal Manager", but I don't see any way to view the log. I even tried opening the details of the "Internal Manager" entry and the only button there is "Diagnostics".
Search for VIS_*.mgr -- Sorry for the typo!Ah, that would explain it. Here are the contents of the correct logfile:

Can you find any details about the error in the application.log file?
Did AutoConfig complete successfully with no errors?
Please make sure you have followed all the step in (Note: 761564.1 - Oracle Applications Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.1.1) for Linux x86) -- Especially "Installing or Upgrading" and "After Installing or Upgrading" sections.

FRM 92050 error via a reverse proxy
Hi,
How can jinitiator on a client workstation on the internet connect through a reverse proxy to forms server?
I have practically no experience with this so please excuse my lack of terminology.
Here are some more details:
This successfully works from within the intranet.
The jinit.exe version is 1.1.8.19
Not sure of the forms server version.
From the Java Console:
proxyHost=null
proxyPort=0
connectMode=HTTP
ERROR: HTTPStrea.connect(),giving up after 10 failures.
On the forms screen the error message is: FRM-92050:Failed to connect to the Server: 10.121.191.9:9000
The firewall ports have 80 and 9000 open.
I have tried varying proxy and port entries in the jinititor console pointing to the external FQDN of the reverse proxy at 80 and 9000 and no good.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
If any further info would be required, please let me know.
Thanks,
KrisWe came up with the new Forms Listener Servlet Architecture to resolve these issues. You can read about it in the Forms area on OTN.
It allows Forms to communicate to the server in a standard way, thereby working with firewalls and proxies.

Forms Product Management -
Dear All,
We have an 11.5.10.2 instance(with JINITIATOR 1.3.1.30) Some of our users are facing problems when they try to access forms in this instance.
They are using Windows 7 and IE8 and getting FRM-92050 error. Please note that Users using Windows XP are not facing this issue.
We tried following workarounds but did not help:
1. Forms were not opening at all in first place. then we replaced Jinitiator jvm.dll with Java 6 update 13 jvm.dll. after that forms aplet did open but it throws an error window with error FRM - 92050.
2. Disabled the Smart screen filter in IE8
3. disabled the XSS filter in IE8
4. URL added to trusted sites.
Please help in getting over this issue.

I get errors FRM 92101 & FRM 92050 when I naviagte away from and return to / or minimise and maximise my Oracle Web form (10g).
The failure occurs when I hit the F5 key to query the form on my return to the application. Rather than run the Oracle F5 command, it tends to run the Internet Explorer F5 command which tries to refresh the IE window (as opposed to query the application), thus crashing the session.
This happens because the cursor is no longer on the form on my return, and when I press F5 to query the form I get this above error and the application shuts down on me.
Does anyone know how I overcome this error???Andreas,
The item I'm adding which causes the issue is a standard forms item.
As I was just developing a test form so that I could prove the setup of the server and the functionality, there is no pre-form and when new-form-instance triggers. The LOGON() call simply existed to avoid me having to enter db logon details every time I ran the form. In actuality it had the connection string passed to it ... LOGON('connection string'), I just didn't want to paste it on the web.
It would be interesting to see if someone else could replicate this....it would give me an idea of whether it's just my server configuration or a bug within forms/webutil ...
The simple steps I follow to replicate this issue:
- Create a form
- Sub-class the Webutil package
- Attach the Webutil library
- Create a data block and keep adding items to the block
- After a given number of items are added to the block, upon deployment it errors (I added 37 text items to the block) -

FRM-92050: Failed to connect to Server: /forms/lservlet-1 coming thru LBR
Hi,
Our EBS setup is as follows,
R12.1.1,
10g DB, 10.2.0.4 (patchset)
Sun Solaris 10 64 bit
Two node Apps Tier (AppServer1 and AppServer2) in a shared APPL_TOP.
and Two node RAC Database Tier (DBNode1 and DBNode2)
Highly secured and firewall environments.
We configured EBS R12 and we were able to login and launch forms , Submit conncurrent jobs and everythings worked fine.
http://hostname.domainname:8000
Now , our requirement is that all the users would be accessing our EBS through https and the flow is as follows,
Step1:
User => https://lbrname.domainname:443
here lbrname is our Load Balancer name. Here the request is identified as EBS request and LBR forwards that URL to our reverse proxy server
Step2:
Our reverse proxy server is Sun http web server 7 update 5. It converts it to http://hostname.domainname:8000 and offloads it to the apps tier.
We followed metalink note 380489.1 - Using Load-Balancers with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 to configure our EBS with load balancer .
(Section 2.1: Using Hardware Load Balancers with Single Web Entry Point).
After configuring we are able to login to the EBS URL using https://lbrname.domainname:443.
Now here is our problem,
When trying to launch any form , it gives the below error.
FRM-92050: Failed to connect to Server: /forms/lservlet-1
not sure how to proceed. Looked at google , metalink but not getting anywhere.
Can you please give some pointers as how to solve this problem ?
Thanks,
SasiHi Helios,
Thank you very much for your time.

Windows advanced 2000 & FRM-92050 ERROR iURGENT)
I've setup a web server on windows advanced 2000 using Oracle developer 6i. Everything works fine. However, when I try to deploy my application to the user community, after about 30-45 users connect, everyone starts getting FRM-92050: Failed to connect to server <server ip>:9000. I see, on the web server, one instance of ifsrv60.exe, and many ifweb60.exe's - one per connection, it seems. I am monitoring memory and CPU, CPU is 100% usage, and total physical memory is 1G ,total memory is 5G(including virtual memory),physical memory is used up to 900M, total memory is used up to 1.3G. what happens ?
Is there a setting I need to adjust?Hi Hussein,
Thanks for your reply. The problem is half solved. It was not working with IE 8 and Firefox 3.6. I uninstalled Firefox 3.6 and installed 3.5. Its working fine with Firefox now but yet to fix with IE 8.
Any way, I have access to vision application from windows 7.

Thank you for ur reply.
I did not implement any user exit/ badi. Dump is saying that my smarform function module does not exist in the se37 library.
I have excuted my form through se38, that time is working fine. When i tried through output type it is going to dump.

Please post the complete error message (from the application.log file). And, verify that you use a certified client OS/Browser as per (Note: 389422.1 - Recommended Browsers for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Customer Recommended)).
Also, see if these documents are applicable.

Authorization problems after patch 6 upgrade and re-install
Hello everybody.
I had a perfect working Visual Composer installation.
After patching it, I got an 401 message, stating that I do not have authorization to view this page:
HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't bring me much further. It seems to be an Internet Explorer and/or IIS 6.0 related problem.
Of course I followed the very valuable note 804996, but the problem remains...
Can anyone help me out?
Thanx.Hi all.
I resolved my own problem.
Additional to the permission settings as they are explained in note 804996, you must add the Directory Security - Authentication & Access Control, set to Integrated Windows Authentication.
Otherwise Windows NTFS security will block you.

Is there auto scrolling in iBook?
Back in the day I had a palm pilot with an ereader. It had autscrolling which was the best feature in ebooks. I haven't found this in any of the iBooks or kindle readers yet. I'm surprised.
