FtpClient.class Source Code

I encountered a BUG while developing a program that uses FTP. I would need to change a few lines of code on the FtpClient.java source. I dont know where to get the source code for the class. I tried using JAD to decompile, but recompiling produces syntax errors. The bug involves having 2 NICS on the machine. Can anyone help me on this?

Unfortunately, it's the FTPClient.class from sun. The
bug ID is 4107059. I tried JAD and decaf but i cant
recompile it back. =(You can't get the source for it, it is in the Sun package. They are classes you shouldn't use.

  • INTERNALDATE class source code

    Hi,
I have a question regarding the source code of the com.sun.mail.imap.protocol.INTERNALDATE class. It concerns the function
public static String format(Date d)This function is used to format a given date (d) using the format statically defined in the class :
       private static SimpleDateFormat df =
// Need Locale.US, the "MMM" field can produce unexpected values
// in non US locales !
new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MMM-yyyy HH:mm:ss ", Locale.US);The function computes the timezone offset of the given date and adds it to the formatted string (ex: "+0200").
Wouldn't we get the same result (without the extra code to compute the timezone) by directly using "dd-MMM-yyyy HH:mm:ss Z" as format string in SimpleDateFormat ?
According to the java API doc "Z" will be replaced by the "Time zone" ("RFC 822", ex: "-0800").

  • Where can I find Java 1.5 swing (JTabbedPane class) source code

I've installed Java 1.5 and 1.6 JDK's on my PC. I was told that after you do this there is a jar file that contains Sun's Java source code (the .java files) that gets installed along with the JDK. However, I have not been able to find this jar file. Does anyone know where I can find the Sun Java 1.5 Swing library source files? Specifically I am trying to edit/modify the JTabbedPane class.

I find the src.zip on my work PC, where I installed the 1.5/1.6 JDK back in 2007. Looks like when I installed the JDK's on my home PC that I did not get the src.zip file??? Anyway thanks for your help.

  • Create Global Class Definition using Local Class Source Code

I would like to be able to automate the creation of global class definitions using source code that is defined in a text file (one example: convert a local class def to a global class def).
Does SAP deliver this functionality?  (I'm already aware of the various classes that can be used to create global classes and how those classes can be implemented in a program to generate new classes.  I'm hoping to avoid having to create a custom solution.)
    Thanks in advance!

    We have a winner!
    Thanks Rich!
It's not a 100% solution - I was hoping to be able to generate global classes/interfaces using source code alone, without requiring user intervention.
It <i>is</i> however, a 90-95% solution because debugging SE24 reveals that by using a combination of the FM's SCAN_ABAP_OBJECTS_CLASSES & SEO_CLIF_MULTI_IMPORT, I should be able to <u>quickly</u> put together that custom application that I was trying to avoid.
I knew about the existance of SEO_CLIF_MULTI_IMPORT but I did not know about SCAN_ABAP_OBJECTS_CLASSES.  I'm very happy to learn that I'm not going to have to write a parser!

  • CMP Entity Beans Wrapper Classes Source Code

Is there any way to have JDev or OC4J 9.0.4 save the .java source file that creates the wrapper cmr ejb classes? It would be helpful when debugging in JDev for it to have the source to debug with. Or even to just see the generated java file from the abstract cmp beans.
    Any one know?

    Hi Jim,
If you haven't already seen it, perhaps this where to find the temperary files created during deployment (from this forum's archives) will help.

    public void setMethod2(){

My problem is that I don't know how to generate the code of a .java class programatically . can you help me?

At run time I read the XML file and get the data, now I want to create this .java file based on variables i have from XML file. Why would you want to "write" your Java code in XML then convert it to Java? Seems pretty pointless to me.I can think of several scenarios, but none that someone who doesn't know how to handle this should even remotely consider suitable for his or her level of expertise to try and tackle.

  • Why does debugger not find source code when compiler output has been directed to the root directory, but the source is in a sub-directory, using Forte for JAVA community edition V3.0

I have configured Forte to put compiler output, i.e. my classes, in the root directory of the project. I now find that the debugger does not find the source code when it is in a sub-directory. However, if I temporarily copy a classes' source code to the root directory the debugger will display it.
To direct compiler output to the root directory I selected Project >Settings>Compiler types, then External Compiler ( which is the default compiler in my case ) and set Target to be the root project directory. This is the only directory it will allow.

This Forum is for Forte 4GL or UDS as its called today. I am not sure if anybody is going to be able to answer your question here. Sorry.

    Hi All ,
Currently am working in Peoplesoft Demo project using java as Plug in.We have only the class files and jar files and we have planned to modify the code for future enhancements. We dont have any legal issues here as we are already working with our client for the original source code.
Kindly help me out in doing this reverse engineering process. We have come to know the below steps would help us out.Can someone guide us in acheiving this process step by step. Please add your experience here and let us know what are the other steps required ..
(1)Rename the file from .jar to .zip and extract the .zip file.
(2)Decompile the desired .class file using 3rd party tool and get .java file.
(3)Modify the .java file and compile it.
(4)Now zip the extracted files and rename the it from .zip to .jar.
We need to verify whether the modified .jar file will work

  • How to read the source code of class method

    Hi,
I want to read the source code of a method which is in a BAdi implementation.
I used SEO_METHOD_GET_SOURCE function module where I passed interface name as class and method name.
But I didn't get the source code. Is there any other function module of method to read the source code.
    Thanks and regards,
    Venkat.

    Hi Venkat,
You can still use the Function Module SEO_METHOD_GET_SOURCE with a small change in the parameter passing. It should be:
    Paramaters:
    MTDKEY-CLSNAME : <Implementaion Classname>
    MTDKEY-CPDNAME: <Interfacename~methodname>
STATE : 'A' for active or 'I' for inactive
    For example:
    MTDKEY-CLSNAME :ZCL_IM_PLM_AUDIT_ALV_GRID
    MTDKEY-CPDNAME: IF_EX_PLM_AUDIT_ALV_GRID~ON_USER_COMMAND
    STATE: A
After executing you will get the source code in the form of string in the 'SOURCE' parameter.
    Hope this helps you.

  • Conversion of class files to source codes

I was informed that it is possible to convert class files back to the java sourcs codes from where those are generated. How can I protect my source codes from illegal copying by others ?

    hai ,
yes it is possible to convert class file into source code. there is a software called jad.exe available in the net
using witch u can convert class file into jar file. but i don't know how to protect the class file to avoid the illigal convertion.

  • Converting class files into java source codes

    Dear Friends,
It is true that conversion of class files to its java source codes is possible through some software. I want to know, is there any way to protect my java source codes from viewing or copying illegally by other persons ?
If I create JAR file from java files, can it be also convertible back to source codes ?
    Avi

You can use code obfuscators in order to protect your code. And yes a jar file can also be decompiled.

  • Why are the Java Library source code classes not indented properly?

I have always admired the design of a lot of classes and frameworks in the JDK. I read the source code a lot to see how the developers coded a particular class, how they designed it and how they write the javadocs.

  • Where can I get the source code for sun classes?

    Hello,
When ever you download sun's j2sdk, the archive always contains the source code for the entire sdk in a zip file called src.zip except the sun.xxx classes like sun.awt.print.PrintDialog or sun.awt.font.FontResolver.
For debugging purposes I need, if availabe, the source code of these classes which are not present in the src.zip.
Please can someone tell me if theses classes are available as source and can point me where I can find it cause I am searching for it but can't find it on the net.
    Thank you
    Carolin

    Hey ChuckBing
And your way is the only way, right? No.What on earth is eating you? Highly sensitive today?
Where is the problem? There are two solutions of the question.
The one link I posted points directly to the sun source download link. The "readme" explains, yippie, the sun sources are contained. Easy, isn't it?
With the other one, you have to navigate at least through two other pages before you might find the link and only if you recognize that "Download JDK 5.0 source via SCSL/JRL" means the sun source code and not the sources contained in the JDK download. This is what I thought as I've seen this link the first time. Unfortunately there is no "readme".
I prefer the easy way, I dont want to earn a doctorate. Ok, you can say dont "play the woman", but I'm a woman and a blonde too;-)
But, let us stop the idle discussion here, please!
Nevertheless, thanks to you and [email protected] for answering.
