Full screen Air app from Flash

Hi,
Im using Flash CS3, and I´m trying to make my first AIR
applications.
I try to get a full screen view using:
stage.displayState =
StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
but i only get a full screen window. Can´t get rid of
the window/menu-bar and the system bar on top (I´m using OSX).
I think I have to disable the systemChrome, but I can´t
figure out how to do this from Flash. I´ve seen som AIR
examples in javacript and flex, but nothing that works for me in
Flash.
Best regards
Peter

Has anyone found a way to remove the top menu in OS X? I am
converting a presentation tool created as a Flash executable to
AIR, so that the client can do more with the tool. The tool is used
to pitch clients and they want a true full screen experience on the
Mac. I have been trying for hours, scouring online and through help
files for the answer and cannot find it. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

  • EMERGENCY: Full Screen AIR App

I have a player that I need to have run full screen. It works fine on my Windows box when I use .width = Screen.screens[0].bounds.width and the same for height, but when I go over to a mac, I have the Apple command bar perfectly visible, and it does not cover the dock on the bottom. I develop on a Windows box, and production is a mac. We go live today, and the equiptment just got to me an hour ago. Can anybody help in a hurry? Thank you!

Ah. I finally found it. Thank you for working with me. I have been setting displayState wrong...this line works (after I made sure that I had imported flash.display.StageDisplayState (problem #1), I then set it like follows:
    this.stage.displayState = StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN_INTERACTIVE;
That worked. So, and you very much, good sir, for working with me. I appreciate it!

  • Problem starting AIR app from windows server 2003

    Hello,
I have an AIR app that I am trying to run using a c#
    webservice under Win 2003.
I am starting the application process (air .exe file) as the
"Network Service" user which has full-rights on the app-folder and
app-working folder. The problem is that once with the applications
the "Adobe AIR Updater.exe" process is starting to (using the same
user N.S.) and both of the processes stop responding.
I have tried to start the process as "Local Service" with
"Desktop Interaction" too but unfortunately with no result.
I must tell you that under XP and Vista it runs perfect...
Is there any security issue related to win 2003 or any way i
can start an air app from command line.
Also i am interested why "Adobe Air Updater.exe" is starting
    ?

Not sure about  copying eulaAccepted file from one location to another - that would really depend on which user account your service is running under.
A better approach (IMHO), is to open the services window (My Computer | <right-click> | Manage, then navigate to Services and expand the tree) so you can see your service on the RHS.
Stop your service, then inspect it's properties, select the 'Log on' tab, then check the checkbox which says "Allow system to interact with desktop". Apply the change, then restart your service.
next time the AIR runtime prompts you to accept the EULA, the window will appear on the screen, so you can click "I accept".
After accepting, reverse the procedure which allowed the service to interact with the desktop, and make sure that you have modified the registry to prevent AIR from updating as mentioned in:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/air_admin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3 d11c0f59823a-7ff0.html
    You should be all set.

  • "no access to the digital certificate" - Trying to export my first iOS app from Flash - Help please

    Hello
I'm trying to export my first iOS app from flash to my desktop / on the device (Flash Pro CC, Iphone5)
I followed the instructions on the adobe website to build an air app for iOS but on the last step it
    doesn't export the app.
    What I've done so far:
    - Apple developer account
    - creating the certificate + convert it to .p12
    - app ID / Name etc.
    - creating the provisioning profile from apple
    - iOS Air app in flash (Only Text "Hello world" with a tween)
Now i have to load the certificates into Flash & enter a password (is it the password that
i entered in the certificate or from my developer account/ Apple ID password? Both didn't work at the end)
When i klick on publish in the last step than it loads a while but then i get the Error:
"no access to the digital certificate"
What is wrong? Can you help me please.

Also, I should say, when I go into my phone on the computer and try to install an app, I get this message:
Unable to start operation. Installer is already in use.
    Any ideas

  • Problem with Full Screen Caller App on my Nokia 67...

Hi, am having some trouble with the Full Screen Caller App, that I downloaded yesterday from the Ovi Store.... It seemed to work ok, but is inconsistent - when texts come through, some say who the text is from (& the image associated with that contact), but too often, it reverts back to the phones way (Nokia 6700 slide)  & just says 1 new message.... Also, when I call someone, sometimes the FS Caller comes into action, other times, it doesn`t.
I mainly bought this app for the incoming text solution, as my 6700 slide does not state who the text is from (unlike my old 6700 classic).......  My settings all seem to be ok, but I could still be doing something wrong..... Would it help to re-download the app?
Any advice would be very much appreciated...... Im starting to think that maybe I shouldn`t have bought it
    Many thanks...

This could a RAM case, as when the phone is doing something and RAM goes down, it starts to close certain apps. Personally if all you wanted was a name on txt msg alerts I would recommend iSMS or ThreadSMS. AFAIK both works on on non-touch phones (iSMS was originally for s60v3) and not only do they provide the senders name on the text alert, they also let you view your messages in conversation view (iphone style) and are free...XD

  • Any solution for Launching Air Apps from Sandboxed Chrome and Safari Browsers?

Before we go and build our own plug-in (Ugh!)...
As of early this year, we could no longer launch our Air application from Chrome. Now Safari (with Mavericks) has Sandboxed Flash with their browser and it will no-longer launch our application.
Does anyone have any helpful advice (beyond building our own plug-in)?
    Thanks,
       Leo

For the Chrome issue, I added instructions on how to manually enable an exception so that the plugin could run. The easier way to get it working is to have them install an Air app from the browser using a Flash badge. This didn't work for us since our app needs a native installer. Another option is to have our user install another Air app from our site. The exception is created for the site and the Air plugin so even though it would be a different app, once they allowed the plugin on our site, we could launch the natively installed app after that.
I just discovered the Safari sandbox issue on Mavericks. I haven't tried either of these approaches on Safari yet. Is it the AdobeAAMDetect plugin in Safari settings that needs to be allowed?

  • Obtaining the full file path specification from Flash Movie and QuickTime icons?

How do you obtain the full file path specification from Flash
Movie and QuickTime icons? I want the path and the file name that
is contained in these icons. I am using a "dive" to run through the
icons of a file, and when I come upon these two types of icons, I
want to obtain the above information that is contained in them. I
certainly can look in the property dialog box to get this info, but
there are many icons in these files, and I want to generate a list
of info based upon the various types of icons that I am processing.
    Thanks

    For Flash
    Trace(GetIconProperty(iconID, #pathName))
    for QuickTime
    Trace(GetIconProperty(IconID, #filename))
For full scripting reference for each of these sprites, open
    up the

  • Why i can't full screen my apps in my display?? with the mac os x lion, why i can't full screen my apps in my display?? with the mac os x lion

i have a cinema display and i just downloaded the new mac os x lion. the problem is that i can't use full screen with my display, when i push the full screen button the app moves to my macbook, but i want it to stay at the display.

It appears that the full-screen display will only work on the display that has the menu bar.
You can switch the menu bar to your external display by going to Solid Apple -> System Preferences -> Displays, then Arrangement.
Grab the menu bar and drop it on the icon representing your external display.
When you full screen an app it should then full screen on the Cinema display.
I wish it would just full screen on the display the window is on, but that is evidently not the way it was designed to work.

  • How to compile an .air app from the ADT command line?

    Hi,
I would like to compile an .air app from the ADT command line.
    Does anybody have an example?
I don't know how to add the AIR SDK path and a folder to it.
Is there a generator for the command line availabble?
    Thanks

Correction: it seems that Applescripts and some similar scripts can be called from the command line using "osascript scriptname". I don't speak automator but you might like to try it. osascript seems to come with severe limitations though, for instance it doesn't allow user interaction such as dialogue boxes.

  • Cannot import swf/air file from flash catalyst

Have you tried using ActionScript 2? You might give that a go
    and see if things improve.

  • Launching an AIR app from another (when offline)?

I have a pair of AIR applications that are meant to work
together as part of an application suite. One feature is that a
user should be able to click a button in APP_1 and launch APP_2 (if
installed). To do this I created a "LaunchButton.swf" that loads
"air.swf". This works GREAT when the user is online and "air.swf"
is able to be loaded from "
    http://airdownload.adobe.com/air/browserapi/air.swf".
I tried to copy "air.swf" locally and use that instance but I am
guessing that it doesn't work due to security restrictions.
If there are any AIR engineers reading this (Oliver?) please
let me know if there is a solution to "Launching an AIR app from
    another (when offline)?"
    Thanks!

I think theoretically it shouldn't work, and doesn't by the
response you give. Remember a functional work around isn't always a
fix. What you've essentially done is loaded the air.swf into a
sandbox bridge, bridging it between a web sandbox and an
application sandbox, therefore you're able to call its methods
without security errors. However, if the air.swf loads in another
swf, maybe a helper swf, you won't be able to access any methods in
that swf, neither will the air.swf. To my understanding, it's not
grandfathered into the sandbox bridge, but retains its web sandbox.
Before going crazy about the bad news I may have just given,
wait until Ted returns to give you a response. I could be way off
    par here :) Good luck!

  • Start Air app from shell (adb shell am start)?

    SDK: 2.6
Im trying to auto start my app when I push it to a device for testing. Im using the adb shell with the "am start" command.
Example In Bash: $am start air.SampleProject
    Returns the error:
    Starting: Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=air.SampleProject}
    Error: Activity not started, unable to resolve Intent { act=android.intent.action.VIEW dat=air.SampleProject flg=0x10000000 }
    Help?
I have found you have to start the start or maybe add something else int he manifest but I cant figure it out. Is there a way to start a air app from shell?

    Using ADL
    $ adl releaseDirectory/yourApp-app.xml
That's it. Just make sure you have your SWF file to be called from the application descriptor.

  • Need to 'launch' AIR app from SD card on Samsung Galaxy TABLET...

    April/28/11 at 3pm ET
    Hi to the group...
Not 100% sure if this is proper forum to ask this, if anyone knows a better one please point me to it via ([email protected])
Ok. Trying to see if my working .AIR app will run on my pals Samsung Tablet (before I buy one for myself)...
Dropped the 'AIR' file onto the SD card (I can see it (the AIR file, size correct) via the fileBrowser app but clicking it does nothing.
Of note AIR is installed in background of the device and it is running.
Cant see/find an 'Adobe AIR launcher?' icon' anywhere (only see Adobe PDF browser).
In all my web searching I see 10000 developer related tutorials re: creating an APK file / converting to APK file using Flash Professional ect.  Not what I am looking for...
I think I am missing something very basic here is there a launcher for AIR apps on Android?
    TIA //GregH

    Hello
    Thank you for your post.
You cannot throw directly from your external device, however you can once that file is transferred to internal memory.
please review this guide for instructions on how.

  • How to permanently disable this message: "Press Esc to exit full screen." (by Adobe Flash Player) in Mac's Safari Browser?

    Hello everyone,
I have been searching for sometime (without any success) for a solution to permanently remove this annoying message: "Press Esc to exit full screen."
Whenever I go to full screen mode, watching any video on YouTube, BBC, CNN (or many other websites which use Adobe Flash Player for streaming video) I have to bare seeing this message for several seconds until it fades away. Seeing this message once or twice would have been okay, but as we all watch many videos on a daily basis on internet, after weeks, months and now years seeing this message over and over again many times every day, it becomes very annoying, and I find myself rewinding many videos to their beginning after this message fades away to be able to watch it from the beginning without anything obstructing it!
Does anyone know how to "permanently" disable this message from appearing?
I am using the latest version of Safari 6.0 on the latest version of OS X (Mountain Lion 10.8.1), and have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (Plug-in version 11.4.402.265) installed on my new MacBook Pro 15" with Retina Display.
    Thanks,
    Ally

    Thanks Carolyn,
I am attaching a screenshot here for you to see that this setting was already set to what you suggested. I didn't need to change it as it was like this even before I post this message.
So the problem still presists and unfortunately your suggestion is not a solution to this probelm.
Last night I did more reseach and found a discussion in Adobe website, it seems a lot of other people have the same issue, and even started a discussion in Adobe website about it. But unfortunately Adobe refuses to address it and enable the end user at least to have an option to turn this message off from displaying permanently on his/her computer.
I am writing down the url links for the two posts regarding this issue on Adobe's website:
    Link #1: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/921270
    Link #2: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3058752
Hopefully more people will get involved and ultimately we will either get Adobe's attention, or someone will find a "hack" and post it here for all of us. I have found some suggested "hacks" for Windows environment (you can simply google it, I am sure you will find them too). But so far I haven't seen anything for Mac's Safari browser.
    Cheers,
    Ally
