Function HR_ECM_READ_TEXT_INFOTYPE  text the a infotype.

Hi.
The function HR_ECM_READ_TEXT_INFOTYPE returns values of the texts associated to infotypes but when I use selection infotypes of personal (PB) it doesn't recover anything for a program error, some of you knows if this function is used for PB or only for PA infotypes ?.
tks.

i am not very sure but think it should work...please paste your code i can have a look...
alternate option try using  FM :'HR_READ_INFTY_NOTE'

  • Adding additional text field to infotype in SQ02

    Hi ,
    I am trying to create an additional text filed to the infotype 0034 in a customized infoset, in Tx SQ02 as shown in the link below:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d2/cb4468455611d189710000e8322d00/content.htm
    Here the question is :
    The check box "Detemine LIKE reference using text field" is grayed out and I couldn't able to check the box.
    Can any one help me to resolve this and let me know what is the significance of that check box?

    Hi Suresh,
    I tried running the query after deleting the newly added text fields to the infoset, the query is running properly with out any short dump, where as with the additional fields added it is going to short dump and the shot dump states as shown:
    An exception occurred. This exception is dealt with in more detail below
    . The exception, which is assigned to the class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_FUNC',
    was neither
    caught nor passed along using a RAISING clause, in the procedure "%_GET_PERNR"
    "(FORM)"
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have expected this exception
    to occur, the running program was terminated.
    The reason for the exception is:
    The program "!QZZ/SAPQUERY/H2AAVULA27174228" contains a CALL FUNCTION
    statement. The name
    of the function module to be called is "RPAQ_GET_AF_0034".
    No function module exists with the name "RPAQ_GET_AF_0034".
    All function modules are stored in the Function Library (SE37).
    Possible reasons:
    a) Wrong name specified. Particular attention should be paid
       to upper/lower case and underscores ("_")
    b) Transport error
    c) If an enqueue/dequeue module has been used, the lock object
       may not have been activated (ABAP Dictionary)
    Any help?

  • Reader SDK: any way to see what text the user has selected?

    I'm using the Adobe Reader SDK with C#, looking at the interapplication communication features.
    I can open a document in Reader and allow the user to user the reader tools like select text, etc.
    Here's the problem: I want to have my application know what text the user currently has selected.  And I'd like it to know the name of the field that the user has selected, not just the text of the field.
    Microsoft Office's Interop has something like this:
    currentDocument.GetSelectedText();
    Is there any way to do this with IAC or the javascript or plug-in features of the Reader SDK?
    If not, can it be done with the Acrobat API?  I've looked through both sets of documentation, and haven't found what i needed.
    Thanks for any help!

    To write a plug-in for the Adobe Reader you need to go through 2 separate steps.
    Step one - Download the Adobe Acrobat SDK (from here http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat)
    and build your plug-in against the Acrobat product, following the documentation to make sure you only use API's that are available in the Reader program. The documentation tells you what version of the Adobe ACrobat or Reader program is needed for the function and whether the function can be called in Reader.
    Step two - Apply for a Reader certificate to allow your plug-in to be loaded by the Reader, the link is on the same web page as the above link. This step can be initiated before you have created your plug-in, and I would recommend that you do start this process before you develop your plug-in as Adobe can refuse to give you the certificate in which case all your development would be wasted.
    Only once you have permission form Adobe can you make your plug-in work with the reader application.
    Once you have done both these steps there are plenty of people on this forum that can help you with specific problems you may encounter.
    If you are not sure you have the knowledge to build the plug-in, there are plenty of people that you can hire to create the solution for you.

    15) Give your subtype field as subtype field
    16) Save and come back to PM01 initial screen
    17) Click on 'Infotype Characteristics' ... Infotype list screen appears
    18) Click on 'Change' (pencil) button
    19) Click on 'New Entries'
    20) Enter your Infotype number and short text
    21) Here we have to set different Infotype Characteristics as per the requirement. (Better open another session with some standard Infotype's infotype characteristics screen and use as the reference to fill yours)
    22) Save your entries.
    23) Now the Infotype is created and ready to use.
    24) If you want to change the layout of the Infotype as per your requirement...
    25) In the PM01 initial screen...Select 'Screen' radio button and give 2000 as the screen name, then click on edit.
    26) In the next screen.. Select 'Layout Editor' and click 'Change'.
    27) Screen default layout appears...here you can design/modify the screen..change the attributes of the fields..etc.
    28) Save and activate. (Don't forget to 'Activate at every level)
    Subtype Creation :
    Transaction PM01 Goto Subtype Characteristics. Click on Append and then subtype. Enter the name and description of subtype on screen.
    Then goto technical Characteristics and maintain the details of subtype there. I.e name of subtype i.e. component name defined in PSnnnn. Subtype table is T591A.
    Subty.text tab is T591S and time const tab is T591A.

  • DIF Time infotypes: Availability of time infotypes in the decoupled infotype framework

    Hi (fellow) experts,
    My primary and most wondered question:
    Does anyone out there has an idea on SAP schedule to release compatibility fix for time infotype (constraint Z) in the decoupled infotype framework?
    Many of us lately talk about and use the decoupled infotype framework; I see many clients interested in HR-Renewal PAOM attractive interface but when question turns around time data I tend to change subjects)... HR Renewal 2.0 has awesome new features such as the Payroll Control Center and the possibility for dynamic action but still no access to time infotypes... Tricky to manipulate infotype 2010, 0416 data without accessing the backend system to correct payroll data... I don't even start on 2001 absence infotype..., etc...
    I also have some question on the SAP official working model for certain PA infotype that update in background time data (e.g. 0080 for instance).
    There are some country specific infotypes that bothers me a little bit because I don't  understand the SAP working model behind it; it's about french infotype Work stopped (0424) which is a data entry screen for work incapacity derived from illness or accident at work that update infotype 2001 in the background.
    Now if I take a detailed look at the decoupled class CL_HRPA_INFOTYPE_0424 method SPECIFIC_INSERT_COMPUTATIONS for instance I can see how the specific logic to create infotype 2001 is nicely commented out in the code while in the backend both those infotype are completely integrated.
    So what am I to understand: class is actively decoupled and I can use it but I will never have the same functionality that I have in the backend system? or is something else? same question apply to infotype 0080 under not only the french template, but UK, Spain... etc... , in the french version it updates both infotype 0424 and 2001 in the backend but I don't see nothing of the sort in the DIF even though there is an active specif FR convertion class (does not seems to be in working order and no infotype 0424 update anywhere nor of course 2001)...
    Let me be clear: I think the DIF initiative is a great innovation from SAP; very easy to understand, manipulate and so much more versatile. It would be awesome if everything would be ready to use ... very powerful tool.
    Thank you for time gurus!!!
    Antoine

    Hi Gurus:
    Well well sounds like some effort in decoupling time infotype development has been released into EHP8.
    At least I am able to see development class and FPM configurations for infotypes 2001, 2006, 3355... so even if not everything is ready I can now see things are well on the way!
    Cheers.

  • What are the functions of all the keys on my (not wireless) keyboard?

    what are the functions of all the keys on the (non wireless) keyboard?

    System Preferences > Language and Text > Input Sources tab. Top of the left column, tick (check) "Keyboard and Character Viewer", Bottom of window next to search field, tick "Show input menu in menu bar"
    System Preferences > Keyboard > Keyboard tab; tick "show keyboard and character viewers in menu bar"
    If you open Keyboard Viewer and press the alt (option) key, the location of the diacritical marks and common symbols will be revealed. Note that five of them are highlighted in orange; these are the ones which can be used with multiple  letters (acute, umlaut, gràve, circumflex and tilde)
    Shift+Alt will show more.

  • Is Oracle Text the right solution for this need of a specific search!

    Hi ,
    We are on Oracle 11.2.0.2 on Solaris 10. We have the need to be able to do search on data that are having diacritical marks and we should be able to do the serach ignoring this diacritical marks. That is the requirement. Now I got to hear that Oracle Text has a preference called BASIC_LEXER which can bypass the diacritical marks and so solely due to this feature I implemented Oracle Text and just for this diacritical search and no other need.
    I mean I set up preference like this:
      ctxsys.ctx_ddl.create_preference ('cust_lexer', 'BASIC_LEXER');
      ctxsys.ctx_ddl.set_attribute ('cust_lexer', 'base_letter', 'YES'); -- removes diacritics
    With this I set up like this:
    CREATE TABLE TEXT_TEST
      NAME  VARCHAR2(255 BYTE)
    --created Oracle Text index
    CREATE INDEX TEXT_TEST_IDX1 ON TEXT_TEST
    (NAME)
    INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT
    PARAMETERS('LEXER cust_lexer WORDLIST cust_wl SYNC (ON COMMIT)');
    --sample data to illustrate the problem
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('muller');
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('müller');
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('MULLER');
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('MÜLLER');
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('PAUL HERNANDEZ');
    Insert into TEXT_TEST
       (NAME)
    Values
       ('CHRISTOPHER Phil');
    COMMIT;
    --Now there is an alternative solution that is there,  instead of thee Oracle Text which is just a plain function given below (and it seems to work neat for my simple need of removing diacritical characters effect in search)
    --I need to evaluate which is better given my specific needs -the function below or Oracle Text.
    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION remove_dia(p_value IN VARCHAR2, p_doUpper IN VARCHAR2 := 'Y')
    RETURN VARCHAR2 DETERMINISTIC
    IS
    OUTPUT_STR VARCHAR2(4000);
    begin
    IF (p_doUpper = 'Y') THEN
       OUTPUT_STR := UPPER(p_value);
    ELSE
       OUTPUT_STR := p_value;
    END IF;
    OUTPUT_STR := TRANSLATE(OUTPUT_STR,'ÀÁÂÃÄÅÇÈÉÊËÌÍÎÏÑÒÓÔÕÖØÙÚÛÜÝàáâãäåçèéêëìíîïñòóôõöøùúûüýÿ', 'AAAAAACEEEEIIIINOOOOOOUUUUYaaaaaaceeeeiiiinoooooouuuuyy');
    RETURN (OUTPUT_STR);
    end;
    --now I query for which name stats with  a P%:
    --Below query gets me unexpected result of one row as I am using Oracle Text where each word is parsed for search using CONTAINS...
    SQL> select * from text_test where contains(name,'P%')>0;
    NAME
    PAUL HERNANDEZ
    CHRISTOPHER Phil
    --Below query gets me the right and expected result of one row...
    SQL> select * from text_test where name like 'P%';
    NAME
    PAUL HERNANDEZ
    --Below query gets me the right and expected result of one row...
    SQL>  select * from text_test where remove_dia(name) like remove_dia('P%');
    NAME
    PAUL HERNANDEZMy entire need was only to be able to do a search that bypasses diacritical characters. To implement Oracle Text for that reason, I am wondering if that was the right choice! More so when I am now finding that the functionality of LIKE is not available in Oracle Text - the Oracle text search are based on tokens or words and they are different from output of the LIKE operator. So may be should I have just used a simple function like below and used that for my purpose instead of using Oracle Text:
    This function (remove_dia) just removes the diacritical characters and may be for my need this is all that is needed. Can someone help to review that given my need I am better of not using Oracle Text? I need to continue using the functionality of Like operator and also need to bypass diacritical characters so the simple function that I have meets my need whereas Oracle Text causes a change in behaviour of search queries.
    Thanks,
    OrauserN

    If all you need is LIKE functionality and you do not need any of the complex search capabilities of Oracle Text, then I would not use Oracle Text. I would create a function-based index on your name column that uses your function that removes the diacritical marks, so that your searches will be faster. Please see the demonstration below.

  • Need information on the verb infotypes

    Hi Gurus,
    Can I use three infotypes in a function module.
    When i am giving the declaration of infotypes as below
      INFOTYPES : 0167 , 0168 , 0170.
    Then it is throughing with an error stating p0170 is already declarded.
    When I am removing the 0170, it is stating the p0170 is not declared and similar table is p0167. How to solve this issue.

    Sure.  First, remove the declaration from the function that you found it in.  Then, in the menu, Goto-> Global Data.  This will take you into the TOP include of the function group.  This include should be used <u>only</u> for data declarations that are global to the function group.  Put you infotype declaration in there and compile all of the objects at the same time.

  • Select, Copy and Paste text - the iPhone can't do that either???

    Select, Copy and Paste text - the iPhone can't do that either??? OK, this is pretty lame...the iPhone does not allow you to select, copy or paste text in SMS, Notes, Safari or Mail. Is this just a oversight on the part of Apple?

    Apple left out a LOT of basic functionality from the iPhone. I think they believe that the 'sexiness factor' will far outweigh the need for functionality in getting this phone to sell. For the most part they were right. Now that most of us have realized what this phone cannot do, and that the honeymoon is over (well, for the most part) I hope that Apple will do include some of that basic functionality in future updates. I also hope that the 3G phone is not the answer to this because that will leave out a lot of users who want these basic features but who dont really want 3G.

  • Links to AS functions in text?

    Is there a way to create hyperlinks to AS functions within
    text that is imported from an XML file without having to call out
    to JavaScript and back?
    In other words, I'd like to have a way to put a link in the
    middle of a line of text and have it call an ActionScript function
    when clicked.
    Thanks for any help!

    lectro,
    > Is there a way to create hyperlinks to AS functions

    I think the answer is yes. It is possible to create
    hyperlinks (<a>
    tags) in HTML-formatted text in a Flash text field. It is
    possible to have
    that hyperlink trigger ActionScript, rather then open a URL.
    The
    HTML-formatted text can indeed be loaded from an XML
    document. Because none
    of this involves anything outside of the SWF file itself
    (besides the XML
    document), no JavaScript is required.
    > In other words, I'd like to have a way to put a link in
    the
    > middle of a line of text and have it call an
    ActionScript
    > function when clicked.
    Assuming you're using HTML-formatted text, it's as easy as
    using the
    asfunction pseudo protocol, instead of the http protocol. For
    example:
    var tf:TextField = this.createTextField("sampleTF", 0, 0, 0,
    0, 0);
    tf.autoSize = "left";
    tf.html = true;
    tf.htmlText = "<p>Lorem ipsum dolor <a
    href='asfunction:myFunction'>sit
    amet</a>.</p>";
    function myFunction():Void {
    trace("I've been clicked!");
    If your function accepts parameters, send those in as a
    string, like
    this:
    tf.htmlText = "<p>Lorem ipsum dolor <a
    href='asfunction:myFunction,param'>sit
    amet</a>.</p>";
    function myFunction(msg:String):Void {
    trace(msg);
    In the above example, the parameter's value is "param", so
    that string
    gets passed into the function, where it is intercepted as the
    variable msg.
    The line trace(msg) will trace "param" to the Output panel.

  • Retrieve Text in an Infotype Record

    Hi ,
    My query is with regards to Infotypes in SAP-HR.
    There is a provision of storing texts for individual records in an Infotype - for example in Infotype 30 (Powers of Attorney ). I need to retrieve this text for individual records for reporting purpose.
    How do we retrieve this text for individual records ?
    Thanks ,
    Sujata

    Hi Sujata,
    In order to get the text for any infotype field.
    The general approach is you fetch the data from the text table.
    To find out the text table, double click on the Data Element (for the field which u want to fetch the text).
    You will get Dictionary : Display Data element screen, double click on the DOMAIN name,another screen would come up, click the Value Range tab,
    You will have VALUE TABLE screen field, next to that u'll have the table name, click on the table name, the table fields would be displayed.
    Now click on GOTO-->Text Table,the text table would be displayed.
    hmm!!! i Guess this shd be helpful.
    let me knw if u need further clarificaton on this.
    Regards,
    krishna
