Functional location to Service order

Guys
Is it possible whenever a functional location is created, through background i want to generateone service order aganist the functional location.
For this any BADI or User Exit is there ?

Ravi,
Yes, I would use the PERFORM YOUR_FORM ON COMMIT syntax to ensure the functional location is created before the order is created.
If this doesn't work, then you could either use a batch program to create the service order, or use a synchronous workflow task.
Either way it will require ABAP programming

    Hi,
    unfortunately there is no such "official" BAPI available - not even in ERP2005! There is a BAPI called BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN but this is for changing an already existing service order.
    But, you can use what the "SAP CRM group" developed for their integration to the backend R/3 system. This FM is called CRM_CS_API_ORDER_CREATE and is part of FUGR CRM_CS_API_ORDER. This FM is acting in the same way as a "normal" BAPI although you can not find this FM in transaction BAPI.

  • Populating Maint wrk Ctr through Functional Location(FL) in order

    Hi,
    we are facing one issue like when we are entering the Fucntional locaiton on the initial screen of IW31 and then enter the order the Maint wrk ctr related to the functional location gets copied under the field in Header tab.But when we enter the FL inside the header and not at initial screen then it is not copying the Maint wrk ctr from FL to that order.
    What could be the reason?

    I can say when you declare Function location initially that means " You are creating an order on that function location " so SAP will pull the data related to object and shows on header.
    And When you are declaring Function location in IW31 ( Header Screen ) the " You are assigning function location to Order , and might be you are going to use different work center for this maintenance " so SAP will not populate reference object info there.

    I am stuck in a big problem and have to find a way to list down the work order with a specific user status in the system. I am trying to link it based on the functional location as the inputs will have to be functional location and the date. Can any one guide me with the tables to link these two???

    Hi,
    Depending on your exact requirement, you might be able to select from view VIAUFKST_IFLOS. This would allow selection based on order, functional location and various dates. The field IPHAS will give you some system status information - value will indicate which status the order has reached. Example value = 3 indicates order is technically completed.
    To get the exact system status (or user status) you need to read the JEST table. Read this table by OBJNR. The object number will have the format OR005000123456 (where 5000123456 is the order number). It will be available in the order tables.
    Status values in JEST are in the internal format - example I0002 = REL. Check transaction BS23 to see the link. User status values will have the format E0002. If INACT flag is set in a jest record then that status value is not active. If you want to check for a specific status value then call function STATUS_READ.

  • Updating Order  Functional location data for equipment

    We have scenarios where we keep de-installing equipments from one FL to another . We have mapped standing orders in equipment . The FL in standing order of this equipment doesn't change automatically . We have to manually do this  (rightclick---update refrence object).
    Is there any way we can update order's FL  directly when we change equipment's FL in equipment.

    ii.     Find the functional location of the order AFHI(Table)u2014(EQUNR is  inut) u2013output ILOAN numberInput ILOAN in ILOA get TPLNR  (B)
    1.     If A=B matching with that of FL of equipment being updated

    b.     Save equipment changes
    2.     If not matching  A <> B

    I can't update tables directly . I don't think any BAPI's exist to update objects in order . I can not execute a BDC from user exit . Now How to  automate this ?

    Scenario is as follows:
    Cost is booked to PM order & settles to cost centers. I don't have budget at PM order level. But will have budget in fund management for cost center. So whenever I book cost to PM order it should check budget available in fund center. Fund center should be derived from cost center assigned to functional location of PM Order
    I have not used function module before for derivation. I have created a derivation rule based on functional module but there is no place to assign fund center in derivation rule. Please explain the process to derived fund center through PM order in above scenario.

    This is not standard, although it is possible through development (e.g. via action-box).
    However, there is the advance shipment functionality in the service order which does allow you to create a sales order from the service order components...

  • Function Location, Classes, Equipment

    We have a business Situation where we are using FLOC to track our rentable assets. We Rent space on each FL and therefore need to track rental attributes here. The problem arises because we can rent to multiple customer on each FLOC. To handle this we are using Classes.
    ie.
    Class
    Rental_Class_1, Rental_Class_2, Rental_Class_3
    Characteristics
    Agreement_#_1, Customer_1, Agreement_#_2, Customer_2,
    This creates a problem when searching with Classes for Customer = XYZ Inc.
    Does anybody have a better natural solution to my issue, instead of having to create custom reporting?

    I would suggest you instead of doing it using class & characteristics, you can make use of contract functyionality in Customer service module. You can assign the equipment/Functional location  to service contract & you can dismental the equipment when contract get finished.
    You can also define different types contract.
    You can also prevent to assign the equipment to assign the equipment to two contract at a time.
    You can also change the functional location (Customer location) of equipment automatically.
    You can also update the customer & End customer details & address details automatically, when assigned to contract & get vanished when it is removed from contract.
    According to that you may get the history of equipment/functional location of assigning it to contract.
    I hope it may solve your issue.

  • Requirement to add new field in Location Tab of Service order

    We have a requirement in which it is needed to add anew field in Location Tab of Equipment and Service order. For Equipment part , we have added the field via Enhancement ITOB0001 and activating the field via "Set View Profile for Technical Objects".
    But for Service order part, we are not able to add the new field in the Location tab , please suggest how can we achieve this.

    If you are not particular about having it in Location tab use Screen-Exit provided in the Enhancement IWO10018 to add an additional tab to host your custom fields. as under:
    ABAPer will be able to readily follow these steps
    Steps will be,
    1. Create a Data type to capture the your custom values. (SE11)
    2. Include your Zfield (with this datatype) through in the include structure CI_AUFK of the Order Header table (AUFK)
    3. Create a project with Tcode CMOD and assign the enhancement above (IWO10018)
    4. Go to Components and Click on Screen Exit
    5. Here Go to Screen-painter (Blue Arrow named Layout) , Create your Field screen-box, field Text field and field Input field. In the field input field Name you should use the above Zfield details (table-field)
    6.Activate the project CMOD and come-out.
    Run IW31, you will see an additional tab like shown above. But here the field is nothing.
    We haven''t told the system what is to be filled here.
    For this in continuation to the above steps between 5 and 6, insert this step.
    5a. Write your code in Function Exits : EXIT_SAPLCOIH_018 and  EXIT_SAPLCOIH_019  of the same enhancement (IWO10018.)
    Code to be written in exit 18:
    move-corresponding COCI_AUFK_IMP to AUFK.
    Code to be written in exit 19:
    move-corresponding aufk to COCI_AUFK_exp.
    After this exercise your Z-field will be visible in the Enhancement Tab as shown in the picture in the beginning. Now your values will be saving to AUFK table.
    So, this is completely an ABAPer job.

  • Can you create relationship between Sales Order and Functional Location

    I am working on a requirement for customer service.  We are using Functional Location for customer facilities.  We would like to relate a functional location to a sales order.  Purpose is that we want to relate purchase of items to the functional location.
    We can see that you can set technical object on a line by line basis, but you cannot relate a functional location.  Does anyone know if this is possible with out of the box configuration?  Or would I need to apply a user exit.

    Do the config in IMG => PM & CS => Maintenance & Service Processing => Maintenance & Service Orders => Functions => Define Notification & Order Integration
    There for your order type, Select Assignment of Technical Objects to Operations Active.
    Note: One operation can be assigned to only one functional location. If you want to assign one operation for 2 FLs, its not possible. You should define 2 different operations.
    In maintenance order, in Objects tab, select the FLs. Select first FL & click Assignment button at the bottom. In pop up window, you will get the list of operations. Select the operation & assign that for the FL.

    1. Object list Activate
    IMG => PM & CS => Maintenance & Service Processing => Maintenance & Service Orders => Functions & Settings => Define notification & Order Integration
    Select Assignment of operations to Object List entries active in Enh. Object list column for your order type.
    2. Then create the order in IW31. Assign all the equipments in object list tab. Define the operations in operation tab. Go to object list & select equipment one by one & click Assignments button in the bottom. In pop-up window, select the operations for that particular equipment. One operation can be assigned to only one operation. If same operation requires for more than one equipment, then different operation rows should be defined.
    3. Click Settlement rule button in the top (If you want to create settlement rule manually). Based on your equipment entry in object list, enter the cost center & % of cost to be settled.
    4. If you want to automate settlement rule creation, as mentioned in previous posts, use the user exits. Transaction code for user exit is SMOD. ABAP people will write the code based on your input for settlement rule creation.
