Garbage characters returned for Ajax requests?

I have a form that when submitted , always re render in weird
looking form !! the arabic characters do not get displayed
correctly.
Also, making ajax requests return characters that look weird
(it is not from the server as it gets displayed nicely on Firefox
and IE)

It seems like it's a webkit issue !! Rendering UTF8 correctly
in special circumstances is not as expected with Webkit (or at
least its old version)
How can I update the webkit version that came with my Adobe
Air ? Or how can I fix the issue mentioned above ??

    Hello Julian
    This is a known problem.
    Cause
    - A user may have been added to a group in another ldap tree with a name, that is already existing.
    - When DTR retrieves the group from UME, we get 2 similar group names, but the groups may be different.
    - DTR cannot handle this and throws "Internal Server error"
    Resolution
    If you change parameter "ume.ldap.unigue_grup_attribute" to 'uid', DTR doesn't use the groupname,
    but the group-uid, therefore the group is unique.
    1. open Visual Administrator
    2. choose Services
    3. choose UME Provider
    4. Reset "ume.ldap.unigue_grup_attribute" with 'uid'
    5. restart the system
    Thanks

  • Safari ignores proxy settings for AJAX requests?

    I'm using Safari 4 on Mac OS X 10.5.7.
    When I configure Safari's proxy settings (which redirect to System Preferences -> Network -> Advanced -> Proxies), all my page requests go through the proxy I configured, except for AJAX requests.
    I configured an intercepting proxy (burp suite) to verify this, and indeed, AJAX requests are not being sent to the proxy. I double checked the exact same page on Firefox 3.5 on the same Mac with the same proxy being configured, and in this case the AJAX requests do go via the proxy.
    For Safari, I configured the "Web Proxy (HTTP)" and "Secure Web Proxy (HTTPS). Is there anything else I need to do? Is this a bug in Safari?
    Thanks in advance for all help.

    I'm seeing the same problem. I use privoxy, a local security/privacy/ad-blocking proxy that lives on my computer. Firefox always sends its requests through the proxy, but Safari sometimes ignores the proxy settings. Vienna, my RSS reader, stops going through the proxy when Safari stops doing it. A restart fixes the problem for a while, but eventually the ads start showing up in Safari and Vienna.
    I didn't start seeing this problem until Safari 4. I'm currently using the most up-to-date version of Safari, 4.0.3, with Mac OS X 10.5.8 and all other updates as of 12 Sep 2009. Privoxy is version 3.0.10, not the very latest, but it's working.

  • Render HTML in phaselistener for AJAX request

    Hello all,
    I have a page in which some its content is loaded dynamically by an Ajax request. To do this, I have a PhaseListener that build some HTML code and send it back to the client.
    Right now in my PlaseListener, I build the HTML code by concatenating string but I'd like to know if it would be possible to use JSF components and its renderer to build some HTML code.
    Is there an easy way to handle this kind of Ajax request?
    Thank you
    Petch

    Hi,
    According to your description, my understanding is that you want to render column value as the HTML format in the xslt list view.
    I suggest you can set the “disable-output-escaping” attribute like below, it will render as html:
    <xsl:value-of select="@MyColumn" disable-output-escaping="yes"/>
    Here are some detailed articles for your reference:

    Thanks

  • DTRServlet - 500 Internal Server Error is returned for HTTP request

    Hi everybody,
    I've got a Problem with my DTR.
    Recently we've set up the new CE 7.2 System.
    The DTR has run until about 3 hours ago.
    I don't know what I've done that this error occurs, but I'm nearly shure that I haven't done anything that depends on the dtr.
    I went through the set up wizzard of "Connect Design Time for Visual Composer with NWDI" again, but nothing changed.
    Can you please help me with this issue?!
    Thank you and best regards

  • H6510BD dust all over the screen/Return for repair requested

    Hi, I suddenly, after only 290 hours of using my new projector, have a loooot of white stains on my screen. They are blurry dots but if I focus on them, it looks terrible (dots, lines, it really looks like dust). I always took care of the environment where the projector is and always avoided dust in the room.I of course tried to clean the objective but it is definitely inside as nothing changed at all.It does not seem to be a DMD Chip issue as the dots are not all the same. - I tried to go to the support page to request a repair but: I'm in Ireland and the website I have to use is the UK one. Well the problem is that when I go to http://customercare.acer-euro.com/customerselfservice/ I can't select Ireland as my country as it is not present. If I enter it manually, the last step gives me an error message saying "wrong country". I can assure you that Ireland is a real country and part of Europe. So what can I do? How do I get a RMA number to send back my video projector to get my problem fixed? (I bought it on Amazon on the 16/05/2015 so it is new and under warranty) Here is a picture of my problem:  Thank you for your help. Regards.

    Hi Flo,
    Here is the contact us page for the UK and Ireland. http://www.acer.co.uk/ac/en/GB/content/service-contact
    I would give them a call or chat. They should be able to provide some support if it's possible to resolve the issue yourself or help setup repair to get it taken care of.
    Hope this helps,
    Cory

  • Reader printing garbage characters

    Whenever I print using Acrobat reader default characters print as garbage, even when printing using "Print as Image".  Print preview looks fine but printer page shows mostly garbage characters.  For example, when printing the Sunday Crossword puzzle from the Washington Post the numbers in the gird print fine but the clues and things like Across and Down headers print with garbage characters.  This happens regardless of whether the document is printed from the Reader directly or from within a browser.  I've used IE8, Firefox and Chrome and get the same result.  The same problem exists regardless of which of my 3 printers I use (HP1020, HP Photosmart 8250, Brother MFC-3740W).  Same type of problem happens regardless of what pdf file I try to print.  Print preview always looks fine.  Printing the same files from my other PC comes out with no problem.  The problem system is running Windows 7 64-bit and problem only started recently, things used to print fine.

    In the meantime you will likely find that the fonts are not embedded or you are not sending them to the printer. Reader has not been called Acrobat Reader since version 5. The name was changed to just Adobe Reader to avoid this confusion. Acrobat is the full product with a $$ value to purchase.

  • Special characters in ajax request

    Hi,
    I can't get special characters like á é í, etc well-printed in an jsp page when processing an ajax request under struts.
    The oracle database is encoded with ISO-8859-1. In my action i set the character encoding for the respose:
    PrintWriter out = response.getWriter();
    response.setCharacterEncoding("ISO-8859-1");
    // get the combo values from database...
    Collection<SimpleBean> opciones = getDistribuidoras(opcionSeleccionada);
    String salida = crearCadenaDeSalida(opciones);
    out.print(salida);
    out.flush();
    out.close();
    return null;Also, i have specified the encoding in the tomcat connector
    <Connector port="8080" protocol="HTTP/1.1"
                   connectionTimeout="20000"
                   redirectPort="8443" URIEncoding="ISO-8859-1"/>The page encoding in the jsp
    <meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> And finally populate the combo by JavaScript
      elementos=respuesta.split("||")
      reiniciarCombo(combo);
      for ( var i=0; i<elementos.length; i++ ){
       valueLabelPair = elementos.split(";")
    combo.options[i] = new Option(valueLabelPair[0], valueLabelPair[1]);
    Is there something i've missed? i get a questión mark inside a black diamond shape instead the special char.
    Thank you in advance

    The basic problem is not obscure, it has come up countless times since Tiger was released. See this note and try Fix C (dingbat) to see if it will help:

  • No response returned for the http request

    My application is running on Weblogic 10 in a clustered environment. The UI is a developed in Eclipse RCP.
    I have a problem where a particular request never returns from the server to the desktop.
    This can be reproduced only in Beta environment and does not happen in Development, Integration or System Test Environment.
    I tried thread dumps but there was no thread waiting for this request.
    I tried http monitor tool but I am unable to find the cause and solution for this.
    Can someone please help me to understand in which situation would this happen and what must be done to overcome this?
    Thanks
    Bala

    Thanks for replying.
    yes, we have put in the logger messages.
    The desktop calls Struts2 Action class and the server does recieves the request, processes it (contacts a 3rd party system), recieves the response from the 3rd party system and then persists the necessary information to the database.
    After this we have logs to print which Action class took how much time. That also gets printed successfully.
    For this process the server took 275 seconds (this is the most time consuming task in the whole app) . After printing this there is no response returned from the server to the desktop.
    There are no exceptions and errors.
    The fact which is most disturbing is that this is not re-creatable in any other environments (dev, IT,ST) and only in BETA. Though all are clustered environments.
    Please help me trace the response. I am ready to implement any ideas. But I want to reach to the root cause. As this is in BETA I am unable to remote debug as well :-((
    Thanks

  • How to send parameters for POST request in AJAX?

    hi friends,
    I am sunil. I am working on ajax.
    My problem is how to send post parameters in AJAX.
    For GET request. I am using bleow and it is workin fine.
    var url = "GetCurrencyRateController?currid="+CurrId+"&lncurrid="+LnCurrID;
    For POST Requert i am sending as
    var url = "GetCurrencyRateController";
    req.send("currid="+CurrId+",lncurrid="+LnCurrID);
    but it is not working

    Check out the Apache HttpClient package and look for how to use the MultipartPostMethod.
    Here is some sample code:
                HttpClient client = new HttpClient();
                MultipartPostMethod filePost = new MultipartPostMethod("http://localhost:8080/MyApp/Push");
                filePost.addParameter("subName", sub.subName);
                filePost.addParameter("serverName", sub.getServerName());
                File file = new File("C:/dataFile.zip");
                filePost.addParameter(file.getName(), file);
                int code = client.executeMethod(filePost);

  • Transaction code to find return code for transport request

    Hi,
    I want to see  the return code for transport requests after importing to QAS from DEV. What is the transaction code to find return code and can you explain in brief.
    Thx,
    Vasu

    you can check it out in STMS
    wht you can do is ,,
    Run Tcode STMS > Overview imports (F5) > you will find all import queues > then click on the import queue in which u want to see the status of transport (DEV , QAS , PRD )
    > then find out the transport no > click on that > then click on logs or press ( ctrl + f4)
    Return code
    Meaning
    0000
    Transport performed without errors
    0004
    Warnings were issued. All objects were transported successfully. There were special actions for individual objects that may not have been intentional, for example, a warning is issued during the export if the request contains an object deletion.
    Read the warnings.
    0008
    Individual objects could not be transported successfully. You must analyze and correct the errors. Examples of import errors: Original object was not overwritten, Repaired object was not overwritten
    0012 or higher
    A critical error has occurred, probably not caused by the contents of the request. You must inform your system administrator.

  • Router reports garbage characters for Mac's DHCP client hostname

    I've got a Linksys wifi router giving nice wireless access to my 17" powerbook (OSX 10.3.9). But when I look at the DHCP active IP table, this one (and another Mac I have on the network) both show up with garbage characters on the "client hostname" even though I have the "DHCP client Id" field filled in in the Network, TCP/IP system preference pane. How do I get the router to see my client's name?
    Mike

    Might help if you told us what the "garbage" was. It
    might help indentify what it relates to because it's
    highly unlikely to be truly random. It's more likely
    to be based on the client's MAC address.
    ok. It is, exactly: ¸#Єª
    In any case, DHCP client ID and hostname are not
    related, so you might be out of luck depending on
    what the Linksys is doing.
    ah! Sorry - I thought that's what it wanted. So, where on my machine do I set the client hostname? Where does a router grab this info from? I've got a PC connected to this thing which does report its name correctly.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • HttpURLConnection returns overlaping responses for concurrent requests

    Hi,
    we are facing an issue in making HttpURLConnection requests. Our servlet has to make HttpURLConnection to another server (Both request and response body to be passed is xml, that is the contract with server which we are firing requests to). User can fire 2 concurrent requests one after another with out waiting for first request to be completed. When two requests are fired, two threads are executing the below block of code with no time. And the problem is first response is empty second response contains data for both responses
               URL url = new URL(urlStr);
                HttpURLConnection c = (HttpURLConnection) (url.openConnection());
                c.setRequestMethod("POST");
                c.setRequestProperty("Content-Type", "text/xml; charset=\"utf-8\"");
                c.setDoOutput(true);
                out = new BufferedOutputStream(c.getOutputStream());
                out.write(requestData.getBytes("UTF-8"));
                out.close();
                String inputLine = null;
                StringBuffer sBuffer = new StringBuffer();
                in2 = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(c.getInputStream(), "UTF-8"));
                while ((inputLine = in2.readLine()) != null) {
                    sBuffer.append(inputLine);
                    sBuffer.append("\n");
                String responseXML = sBuffer.toString();and the above code is in separate static class. we tried using third party implementations for HttpURLConnection instead of sun implementation. NO LUCK.
    Any help in resolving this issue would be of great help
    Thanks,

    JKChaitanya wrote:
    "in2" is also local variable to the method, only "requestData" comes from servlet's doPost method, all other variables are local to the method in which HttpURLConnection code is availableIt seems to me that the implication is that the server you are chaining to is not thread safe and can only handle one request at a time. This means that you will have to process the requests sequentially. Two obvious approaches - use synchronisation or use a request queue. To test the hypothesis it would be very easy to use synchronisation on your servlet class object. Note - you cannot reliably synchronise on the servlet instance since your server may be configured to use more than one instance.
