Garnishment

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to include the name of the EE on the garnishment cheque to be sent to the third party ?
Thanks,
Swarna.

I can't make the EE as a vendor, as the cheque is payable to the third party (vendor ) which can be a court or some other entity or a person ( not the EE ) .
When printing the cheque it gives the right garnishment amount and payable to details, but doesn't specify against which EE this garnishment is being paid to the third party.
Thanks,
Swarna.

  • How to create multi garnishment order for the same garnishment document

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to create multi garnishment order for the same garnishment document. I tried to copy the entry in IT0195 but the sequence field is grayed out so it will just delete the old record. What configuration should I do to make this possible?
    Thanks a lot in advance.

    hi,
As far as I got it.
You cannot have multiple Garnishment order but if a need arises you have to maintain it in IT216.
For that follow this path goto PA30->pernr->194->change->Garnishment->adjustment.
Since like order you cannot maintain adjustment also directly.

  • Third Party (Garnishment) checks - RFC destination error

We have an issue with our testing of Third Party Garnishment checks.  We have a split system, with our HCM system residing separately from the remaining ECC modules.
We are getting an error in regards to the printing of the checks in A/P.
    The posting is working fine
    the vendor account is cleared
However, It’s not creating a check # or check form.
We can do other check runs in this client fine; it’s just the 3PR runs that cause the error.
The text of the error message is as follows:  An RFC destination could not be specified for the logical system HPQCLNT210.
We have exhausted our resources here looking into the RFC connection and the partner profile and we cannot find anything wrong with them.
Can someone offer suggestions on what else we could check?  Thanks so much.

    Hi David,
Did you check below is set-up correctly.
    - Use transaction SM59 to create an RFC destinations for the remote system.
    - Use transaction BD54 to create the logical system.
    - Use transaction BD97 to link the RFC destination created in SM59 with the logical system created in BD54.
Also, check entries in TBLSYSDEST is  filled with correct system name HPQCLNT210. Generally this error occurs when system name is incorrect in TBLSYSDEST.
    Thanks,

  • Garnishment payments in AP - please help

    Dear experts
I'm SAP Accounts Payable person.   My client is implementing SAP AP as well as HCM.  We had a discussion between two teams regarding how we wanted to handle the garnishment payments. In their current world, they run any type of payments via AP.. So they wanted to push a file from HCM to AP for all garnishment payments. They deduct part from the employee's check  they wanted to create payes  will be created as vendors in SAP AP and then will push a file from HCM to AP to run the payment run. HCM is saying that they can not run the payments in HCM.  It has to be like run via AP. But, I'm not convinced that if they are running the payroll in HCM and garnishment payments are part of payroll process and why they have to created vendors and run the payment run in AP???
Can some one please explain this how it should be processing? I feel that this is not an ideal design...
Can the HCM completely handle the whol garnishment payments without hitting AP along with payroll run??
    Please help..

No special config required from AP. The vendor record in AP will be referred in payroll run. It will replicate to AP then AP will run payment run for garnishment payment using rffous_T
    Thanks,
    Sri

  • Garnishment Vendor Advice Info Missing

    Friends,
We have setup third party remittance for Garnishments and on Vendor check/Advice(F110) we are missing the employee information.
what we can see now is only "0003100070001510692340000689399900403" and "HRGRNX00031069".
Now in this "99900403" is employee code.
Instead of all this big information we need Employee Name / Garnishment Case Number on the Advice.
    Configuration done :
    a) T5UGI - Garnishment assigned to Letter Type 08/09 with UFG1.
    b) Employee in P0194 has "Information on advice of vendor check"  as Answer Letter Indicator.
Would appreciate the Help, let me know what i am missing.
    aman

    SPRO :-
Payroll: USA -> Garnishments -> Letters.
Assign forms to letter types (T5UGI) Type 08.
    FI side:-
Copy of the FI advice form F110_US_AVIS to print the garnishment information. And Change section 625-HR of the form to add the text lines REGUD-TEXT1 through REGUD-TEXT9

  • Customised Garnishment Report missing few employees

    Hey guys...
Am caught up with this issue. A customised Garnishment report that run every pay period (bi weekly) fails to pick up few employees. The processing has happened and the checks have been printed. But the employees do not appear on the report.
Moreover, the same employee is found against the same vendor account for a different period, but gets dropped of for another period.
Any thought son what I need to check?

Please check if employee is active now or garnishment is displayed in GRDOC/GRORD tables ....not sure may be because of some conditions imposed in custom interface to not display I guess.
Please check with developer on rules set in interface.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

  • Duplicate entries in Table T5UGJ - Garnishment notice letters printed twice

    Hi Experts,
We have a scenario where duplicate entries have been created for an employee in the table T5UGJ. Hence when the notice letters were printed, they printed twice.
Would there be any specific reason or any master data change in IT 0194 / IT195 which would trigger a duplicate entry in this table?
    Any information is highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Dipesh.

    Hi Arti,
Please find my responses below :
    1. The employee has two different Creditor garnishments, one dated for June and second for July.
    2. The duplicate notice letters are printed for second garnishment
    Thanks,

  • Garnishment deduction amount greater than non exempt amount ??

    Hi all,
    Here is my doubt .
Say my garnishment deduction is 150$ and the minimum limit(non exempt ) to be deducted is only 100$ ,
What will happen when I run the payroll for the employee ?
Will he be errored out and written to the match code ?
Will the amount be written to DDNT or ARRS table or only 100 $ will be deducted and no error will be displayed.
Can anyone please tel me what are the possible outcomes ?
    Thanks.

I got the answer on my own.

  • Garnishment Statistics report

    Hello All,
Can anyone explain how to execute Garnishment Statistics report . I  would like to get the employees  numbers with name who have an active Garnishment . when i execute it, i just  get Personnel subarea  with number of employees who have an active Garnishment. I would like to know, is there a way to get into detail of employee number  and name? Appreciate your help.

The Garnishment Statistics Report is programmed not to give employee details, but rather Statistics.
Check in SAP's Menu, there is an other Garnishment Report that gives details on employees and their garnishments, including the history of remittances and current debt.
The big caveat is that there is probably strict security on that report as only a few persons should be able to see all that confidential information.

  • Garnishment - Federal Student Loan

I have been asked to configure Student Loan Garnishment to deduct as below when there are more than one active Student Loan Garnishment per employee.
The 25% limit is for the combination of both.  If one school loan is for 15% of disposable net and the second is also for 15% of disposable then it should be deducting 15% for the first and up 10% for the second loan for a  total limit of 25% of disposable net.
Please help if anyone was able to configure special rule in SAP for this.

    Hi Vaibhav,
You need to create 2 non-exempt models with 2 different rules and map it to FED Student loan under table V_T5UG4.
First rule say 001 for single Student loan should have Non-exempt model say /FE1 in table V_T5UG3-
    Limit 1 section=>
    Nonexempt of 15% of Net i.e. Indicator - 2, Value - 15.00 and Unit - 1 (Percent of Net).
    Federal Minimum Wage section=>
    Min Hours as 30
    Hourly Wage as "blank"
Second rule say 002 for multiple Student loan should have Non-exempt model say /FE2 in table V_T5UG3-
    Limit 1 section=>
    Nonexempt of 25% of Net i.e. Indicator - 2, Value - 25.00 and Unit - 1 (Percent of Net).
    Federal Minimum Wage section=>
    Min Hours as 30
    Hourly Wage as "blank"
You will need to input the respective rules 001 and 002 in IT0195 depending upon whether single or multiple FED student loan exists.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

  • Garnishment deduction

    Hi Gurus,
Currently in our system Garnishment for Canada Quebec is setup like this Gross-Taxes = Disposablenet * 30% to withhold. But, user says it is not deducted correctly. It should be calculated like this Gross - 240 (exemptamount for biweekly) * 30% to withhold. This is for Notice of garnishment. In us also for some other state it has same requirement like this. Can you pl let me know, if this can be done only through Rule modification for Garnishment schema or any other solution for this. Appreciate it.
    Regards,
    Fred

    Hi,
It can also be done by maintaining the Garnishment Processing Class with respective Specification for all the Gross Salary Wage Types.
Check the Processing Classes 58 & 59 for the Wage types in Table V_512W_D
Please award points if it is useful to you.
    Regards
    Venu

  • Garnishment Court Fees

We are trying to configure Garnishment Court Fees. We are not sure what 'Model Non-Exempt Amount' we have to use for this type of Garnishment?

    Hello,
Here is how system calculates for Non-exempts amounts:
The garnishment subschema (function UGARN with parameter CALC) calculates the  non-exempt amount.  The system will first calculate the fields limit1/limit2, and additional amount from infotype 0195 'Garnishment Order'.
Each component (federal minimum, limit 1/ limit 2, special rule, and levy) of the Model for the Non-Exempt Amount in table T5UG3 is calculated.  The system will then compare each one to another and it will take the lowest amount. This amount is then processed with the additional exempt or non-exempt amount resulting in the  non-exempt amount.  This is the calculation which is the most beneficial to the employee.
    IT0195 Limits/Add    >  T511K / T5UG3 F Min Wg
                             Amounts                        v. Exempt
                                                                     %/Amt
    T5UGA  Special      >   T5UGE Levy
    T5UGB  rule
    + or -
    T5UG3  Aditional Amount  == Non-Exempt amount
    Hopefully this helps.
    Kind regards,

  • Voluntary dissolution of writ of garnishment

Hi, I'd appreciate any insight into my situation.  I had a Chase credit card go bad.  They sued me and won a default judgement.  Froze my bank account.  I hired an attorney who filed a claim of exemption because I was the head of family supporting 3 children on my own.  (I left an abusive marriage.  I had restraining orders and everything)  Anyway, Chase did a Voluntary Dissolution of Writ of Garnishment and that went away.  I want to file a motion to vacate the judgement.  Can I?  Do I need to go back to my attorney?

It really varies by state and most have established deadlines for filing to vacate in a default judgment. Also, if the debt is yours, even if you are successful in getting the default judgment vacated because you weren't properly served or have a valid reason you couldn't appear, etc, Chase can refile against you. They may not be able to garnish but they can win a suit against you. In most states, judgments can be renewed collectible for years...my state allows 20 years. The other kick in the teeth is that if they renew the judgment years down the road, the CRAs are allowed to continue to report them as long as they are enforcable. I believe they can report for 7 yrs 6 months from filing if paid. If not paid, they can report beyond that if they are still enforcable in your state.
If you can get the judgment vacated, it would be best for you to settle, pay, or set up a payment arrangement to prevent them from just getting another judgment if the debt is yours and valid and within SOL.
I would definitely consult further with your attorney. Good luck!!

  • Implementing ACH Payments for Garnishment Child Support in US Payroll

    Hi Experts,
My client wants to implement ACH Payments for Garnishment Child Support in US Payroll instead of mailing live Checks.
Can you please provide me with the Standard config settings/SAP documentation needed to achieve this functionality.
I also need a questionaire to gather the Business Requirements.

    Hi Experts,
I have a few  queries at this juncture:
    1) For example, let's say there is vendor (say 108001 )and there are three employees whose Support Garnishments are going to this vendor.
Now If u201CIssue Separate Check to Vendor u201Cfield is checked in IT0194, does this ensure separate line items/entries for each employee in the ACH file format.
    2) Can we assign only Vendor (say 108001 ) everytime in IT0194 for any employee with Garnishment Category u2013 Support.
    3) Can a Vendor ask for the same ACH file in both the formats - CTX and CCD ? If yes, does that mean there will be two payment runs in FI, one for each format.
    Can you please help.
    Regards,
    Somdeb.
