Gateway Configuration getting dropped

Hi,
I have configured the default gateway using route add default x.x.x.x on the solaris server. With route -f command, iam able to see the gateway configuration. But after a time span of 10-15 seconds, the gateway configuration is getting lost.
But the entry still exists in the /etc/defaultroute file.
IPv6 has been enabled on this machine. I disabled and tried, still the same problem exists.

Hmm.
The command "route -f" flushes the routing table, or in other words, clears the routing table from all entries. So its no wonder if your default router disappears.
To list existing routes, run:
"netstat -nr"
The file where you store the defaultrouter is /etc/defaultrouter (note the trailing "r"), this file is only read at boot and not during normal system operation.

    We have deployed a WLC 5508 w/ SW version 6.0.199.4, 1142 AP's & open authentication w/ MAC filtering. Clients are randomly getting dropped with "Limited Access" shown in Win 7. In this state, the client machine is unable to ping the gateway and sometimes lose their DHCP assigned IP as well. A manual disconnect/re-connect to the SSID is required everytime.
    I ran a debug on one the clients stuck in the "Limited Access" state (debug client xx:xx:xx:xx):

  • Exception table getting dropped

    Hi,
    when i dropped a table from the source, the exception table at the target also getting dropped and a table created at the source will also create/override exception table with the new table's structure. So i am wonding if anyone has any idea or
    have gone through similar situation.

    You have "DDL INCLUDE ALL", which means any "drop table" on the source DB will be replicated to the target DB.
    If you don't want to replicate DDL, then just omit this statement altogether (DDL replication is not enabled by default).
    If you want to replicate DDL but not for specific objects, then use "DDL INCLUDE {what_you_want}" or "DDL INCLUDE ALL, EXCLUDE {what_you_dont_want}". See the GG Admin guide (ch 14) for how DDL synchronization can be configured[1]...
    For example,

  • E4200 - constantly getting drop wireless connection

    First, if you only plan on using the ports on the back for network connections, I have had no problems. My issues are all deal with the wireless connections. I am constantly getting dropped and when I called Cisco/Linksys support, I was told that I needed to turn off my wireless N and have all the devices connect at a slower speed.

    First of all please verify that you have got a 802.11n card in your computer. New generation routers (i.e. E4200) speaks an entirely different language than 802.11g cards, so while those adapters can work with the E4200 for example, they are not optimized to work with it. It is like having to translate from one language to another in real time when going from N to G... So in those cases the old router will show a stronger signal than the new one.
    SECOND, make sure the adapter driver is up to date.
    Try to do the following steps:
    A] With the help of Cisco Connect Software (if at all you have installed the router with the help of this software)
              1] Open the software and go to the option which says "Router Settings"
              2] Then click on the option which says "Advanced Settings" which will take you to the router's configuration page.
             3] Then go to the Wireless tab, keep network mode as mixed,
     For Channel Settings of 2.4 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 6, 9, 11..
     For Channel Settings of 5 GHz you can make Channel Width to 20 MHz only and Channel to 40 or 161...
    B] If you haven't installed Cisco Connect then you can log on to the router's user interface using it's default IP address in the browser which is 192.168.1.1 and type in 'admin' as the password leaving the username field blank. This will take you to the router's web interface and then follow steps as mentioned above to make the changes.

  • Calls getting dropped

    Hi,
    My scenario is like this:
    IP Phone ---> Call Manager---->h323 gateway--->Avaya -----> Avaya phone.
    I have created two device pools, DP-1 and DP-2 and assigned separate regions to these Device Pools. The codec between these regions has been configured as G.729. One hardware transcoder has also been created in the router and assigned to a MRGL which both DP's are using. IP Phone has been assigned to DP-1, and H.323 gateway has been assigned to DP-2. So the calls through this gateway to Avaya will be G.729 codec. Avaya has been configured to make the calls to the H323 gateway as G.729.
    Whenever I am making a call to Avaya, I am able to get the ring from Avaya, when the receiver is picked up I am not able to hear anything. This is same when both side makes a call.
    The IP reachability is there between all the devices. I have tried making the MTP required checked and unchecked under the gateway configuration, but the same result.
    In the debug voip ccapi inout I am getting an error which is attached herewith.
    The error code mentioned is 47 which is no resource. I have also checked by changing the codec values on both the ends.
    Can anyone tell what could be the problem?

    Disconnect Cause=47 is indicating issue is media negotiating like Transcoder, MTP & Codec negotiation.
    Crosscheck the incoming & outgoing dial-peers for matching codec & voice class codec configurations. saw outbound dial-peer 40 matched but no logs to show matching inbound dial-peer.
    CUCM has an option for "Wait for far end H245 TCS" on CUCM which is checked by default. Try to uncheck it and test the behaviour please.
    Please collect detailed ccm traces & debug voice ccapi inout, debug h225 asn1 & debug h245 asn1.
    what is the connection type from GW to PBX? PRI or IP connection? Please post your GW config also.

  • Hello, I get DROPS when digitizing from FCP onto my XRaid

    Well, sure I´m doing something bad, because I get drops exactly every 30 Secs when digitizing in the raid.The configuration is XRaid with 4x500 in one controller RAID5 and 3x500 in the other RAID5, then a stripped raid with both (so is raid50 isn´t it?). The firmware is 1.5, and the caches are enabled (I suposse are the checkboxes inside settings in the RAID Admin program). The thing is that when I digitize material whichever source it is (betacam, DVC, SDI), I get the image freezed a couple of times in a moment and then goes on, and this happens EXACTLY EVERY 30SECS, isn´t weird?. I suposse is something in the raid configuration. The program is FCP and the card is Blackmagic extreme, and digitize is in the 10 bits setting. Ah, and if I digitize the same onto the internal 200Gb disk all goes fine.

    Ah, and just add that this raid is connected to a G5, and when I run the blackmagic speed test it goes from 220 Gb/s in read and 170 in record, so it seems to be ok. thanks

  • H-REAP Issues: Clients get dropped onto Native VLAN on one AP

    Hi,
    I have a wireless deployment consisting of 2 WLC's centrally located in two data centres, with WCS managing the WLC's.  There are currently two sites with wireless.  Each site is it's own AP Group with different SSIDs at both sites.
    The site where I am having an issue with H-REAP has 48 AP's installed across a number of floors.
    The problem I am experiencing is that when clients get associated to one specific AP, they will successfully connect to the SSID, but are getting dropped into the native VLAN (VLAN 23) instead of the VLAN (VLAN 22) that is mapped to the SSID.  The clients get an IP address from the native VLAN and can access the corporate network, but due to firewall rules they cannot get access to some key corporate assets, as the native VLAN (VLAN 23) is not included in a specific firewall group for wireless clients.  Clients connected to the same SSID but on a different AP are getting dropped into the correct VLAN (VLAN 22).
    The switchport configuration for the one AP that is having issues is specifically below:

    I have tried doing a configuration reset on this AP and re-configuring it from scratch, but it still exhibits the same behaviour. 
    Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to resolve this problem?

    I have built an interface of the 2106 for VLAN5 and the interfaces for the 2106 and the bridges are built as trunks and all vlans are allowed. If I plug in a laptop on the 3560 in the new building, and the port is assigned to VLAN5, I get an address and can surf out just fine. I will scrub the 2106 & 3750 configs and try and upload them. To further test I moved the DHCP scope onto the 2106 and my wireless client is able to get an address from the 2106, I can ping the interface on the 2106 (192.168.5.2) I just cant connect to the 3750 switch.

    By design, the iphone will sync itunes content with ONE computer at a time. If you attempt to sync such content with a second computer, ALL itunes content will first be erased from your phone & then replaced with the content from the second computer. This is a design feature & cannot be overridden. Because you formatted your computer, the iphone will see your computer as a "new" computer.
    1.First, disable auto sync when an ipod/iphone is connected, in preferences, in itunes, which in windows is in the edit menu.
    2. Put one contact & one event in whatever programs you use for that purpose on your computer, they can be fake, doesn't matter, the important point is to have one entry in each.
    3. Connect your phone, itunes running, DO NOT SYNC.
    4. Go up to Store>Authorize this Computer.
    5. Go up to File>Transfer Purchases. All of the purchased itunes content on your phone will be transferred, music you ripped on your own will not be transferred. You will have to use third party software to first extract that music from your phone BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING. Same for photos not in your camera roll, the photo sync is one way...computer to phone.     6. Right click the phone in the device pane & select Reset Warnings.
    7. Right click the phone, again, & select Backup.
    8. Right click the phone, again, & select Restore from Backup. Select the backup you just made. Voice Memos are included in the iphone's backup.
    9. This MUST be followed by a sync to restore your itunes content, which you select as before from the various tabs.
    You'll get a popup regarding your contacts & calendars asking to merge or replace, select merge.

  • Please Assist, Network Gateway Configuration

    I am running Solaris 7 for Intel. The Network Card is configured properly with regards to IP Address, DNS, Netmask. I am able to send and receive information with the other machines in my house (ftp, telnet, etc...). I have an Accend P75 Router that the other machines access as a gateway to get to my network at work. Where can I set the gateway address so the Solaris machine can use this router to access the work network?

    Hey Aaron,
    Make sure that you /etc/defaultrouter file has the gateway's IP address. Here's a simple example of /etc/defaultrouter
    192.168.0.1
    That's it. Just the IP address of your gateway/router. Try a "man defaultrouter" for more info...
    P.S. You will need a reboot unless you issue a "route add default 192.168.0.1", see "man route" for more info...
    Note, once you reboot and find that you can't ping www.sun.com or whatever, make sure your DNS entries are set up properly...

    Upload was completed.

    Can you check are there are several "Commas" after each of the lines; what you need to do remove all the additional commas by opening this using wordpad or notepad++ .

    To be honest, I've had 2 Lacie drives crash out of 2 bought.  That's not a good track record for me.
    Your best bet  (I'm a computer professional, for what it's worth):
    Get a hard drive case or enclosure that supports firewire 800 and put your own PC hard drive (SATA for example) 7200rpm or higher hard drive into it.
    Let me explain a bit more.  External hard drive manufacturers often put no-name hard drives into fancy cases to cut costs and that's how they make a profit.  I've have had nothing but problems with with these types of drives. (Like Lacie) You are much better off getting some type of decent drive enclosure and getting your own GOOD hard drive.  I would highly recommend Seagate, I have NEVER had a problem with a Seagate drive in 20 years of owning PCs and Macs.  Western Digital is also a good brand (though I had 1 crash). These are the types of drives you would put in your Mac Pro.  You want to get an SATA hard drive.
    I have owned several external cases where the case electronics fried, but the hard drives were still in good shape. Take the hard drive out, put it into a new case you're good to go!
    For video you want to make sure that your hard drive case supports Firewire 800!  This is mandatory.
    My personal favorite, (and I own 5 of these) is Vantec's NexStar hard drive enclosure.  They accept any SATA 3.5" drive (I bought mine from a company called ComputerStop).  I have yet to have a single problem with any of them.  They are solid aluminum casing, you can literally throw them into your backback, drop them on the floor and your hard drive is fairly well protected from impact damage (at least you won't break the case with anything short of a sledgehammer).  I am currently looking at getting a second one of these:

    As far as the hard drive, you can get a Seagate Baracuda drive 1TB at 7200rpm drive for about $60.  The case and hard drive together, maybe a few over $100 for the whole thing.  With shipping, and tax figure about $150.
    Don't let the price fool you.  It will rock.
    Story: I got an iOmega "raid" case with two Seagate drives in it and the iOemga case fried, but the hard drives were still good. Fortunately, they were in two removable trays.  I put them into two "rocketfish" hard drive cases almost 3 years ago and I am still using them every day today. 
    Moral of this story:  It's the quality of the hard drive that matters, not what case it's in.
    Is it hard to set up?
    Not at all.  You put the hard drive into a tray, (with Vantec case), screw it in.  It only goes in 1 way.  Plug in a power cable to the drive.  Slide the tray into the case (carefully, don't munch the power cable!) and screw it in place. You can literally do it in 10 minutes or less.  There are, of course instructions, but if you are reasonably clever, you can literally see what plugs into what just by looking at it.
    Sorry for the long reply, but I have a lot of experience with external drives and I hope this helps others.
    Finally, when you make it to the big time you can spend $400, get yourself a firewire RAID enclosure and you can upgrade to 4 external hard drives in 1 enclosure.  Figure $800 for that set up, but you can go up to 12 TB of drive space with that, or up to 3TB if you are running redundant discs.  But that's a whole other ballgame...

  • Air play keeps getting dropped from TV

    Since the latest software update, videos I'm watching sent from my iPad using airplay keep getting dropped. Is there a problem with this update?

    I learned from my IT department that this is now a known issue, affecting many people at my firm. The word is that Apple told them to wait for iOS 8.1 to fix the issue. I upgraded to 8.1 but the issue still occurs, exactly as you describe it. Here's hoping 8.1.1 comes out soon and addresses the issue!

  • How do MAX configurations get saved on cFP?

    I need to find out how the MAX configuration gets saved on a cFP-2200 module so I can read from it dynamically. I need to do this in order to make installations of my software more generic, allowing dynamic reading of input channels without having to know things like the DNS name ahead of time. I already understand how to create dynamic paths with LabVIEW but it seems that changing the DNS name to something other than what the original install was under makes any paths using the new name useless. I am using RT "Get target info" to dynamically see the target's name. Working this name into the path for looking up input on the cFP-AI-102 channels only seems to work if the name stays the same as it was originally.

    I am connected to the cFP-2200 over a LAN. I can have several of these at a given site which is why the name needs to be flexible. I also use the name in some VIs for various purposes, such as configuring dynamic TCP listeners on a server application.
    When I say "DNS name," I'm referring to the "RT Get Target Information.VI" under the RT toolkit's output cluster and specifically, the element "IP Settings.DNS Name." This is also the name I would set for the target in max and when I do this, the output of "IP Settings.DNS Name" changes with it. Also, when I click "find devices" on the cFP in max, the default comm resource name for the device in the iak file is whatever I had set for the "name" at the time.
    The "FP Create Tag.VI" which I am using to create paths to the inputs of the target has an input called "comm resource name." Since this was set to the same thing as the "name" in max, my expectation was that changing the name for a device in max would also change its comm resource name. However, my example above shows my expectation does not match what is actually happening. While the DNS Name is tied to the name set in max, the "comm resource name" is not even though during the initial creation of the iak file in MAX, they are the same.
    To make a long story short, I am able to get my software to work by making sure that the comm_resource_name is hard coded to the value originally set in the project which created the build. This solution is adaquate but not optimal because I would rather be looking this up dynamically for the sake of maintainability. If the comm_resource name and DNS Name are separate entities, that is fine. There just needs to be a way to look both up dynamically if they are separate.
    I guess this has become more of a suggestion than a problem I'm reporting... unless of course the behavior I'm describing is not what NI intended, in which case it's a bug.
