Which client number you use for the current
project?
It depends on the client specifications.
You are running a report. It is taking long time for
execution. What steps will you do to reduce the
execution time.
Performance analysys can be done. There are some standards in coding also, for example "select matnr mbrsh meins from mara" is efficient than select *....
After running a BDC program in background, next
day morning when you see the results, few records
are not updated(error records). What will you do
then?
The error recors can be analysed using sm 35 and can change the code accordingly and run the process for error records( mode E )
You are given functional specs for a BDC program
and you need to decide whether to write a method
call transaction or a session. How u will decide?
Usually method will be described in functional specs. If not, it depends on the no. of records.
What is the difference between report and script?
we can not have the formating options in the reports.
what are the differences between scripts & smart
forms?
•     SAP Scripts are client dependent whereas Smartforms are client independent.
•     SAP Scripts require a driver program to display the output whereas in smartforms the form routines can be written so that it is standalone.
•     An integrated Form Builder helps to design Smartforms more easily than SAP Scripts
•     An Table Painter and Smartstyles to assist in building up the smartforms
•     On activation a function module is generated for Smartforms
•     It is possible to create a Smartform without a main window
•     Smartforms generates XML output which can be viewed through the web

how do you get functional specs when you are
assigned some object? (specs through email..??)
Usually through mails
How do you write technical specs?
It is like blue print of the program flow ( it looks like algorithm)
How do you write UTP?(unit test plan)
what is the difference betn end-of-page and end-of-selection?
end-of-page is used to trigger footer (usually), end-of-selection is user to mention the close of start-of-selection. ( it is not mandatory but, good programming practice).
if you write a write statement after end-of-selection, will that be triggered?
If the statement is not under the event, it wont.
how to create a button in selection screen?
selection-screen pushbutton is the event.
how to add a gui status in a selection screen?
can you call a bdc program from a report? how?
the program itself is a report, usually we call the screens from the report.
can you call a transaction from a report? how?
yes. Using call transaction <tcode>.
what are ALV reports? how they are different from normal reports?
Redirecting the output data into grid controls. We can drag and drop the fields as we wish and it looks rich comparitively.
what are the main events that are used in an ALV report?
Same as classical reports.
can you create an internal table dynamically?(at run time
what is the role of ST05 in performance tuning?
Cheers.

  • General FAQ ?

    Can i implement CRM 5.0 for SAP R\3 version of 4.6C ?
Does this suffice the standard connectivity between CRM 5.0 and R\3 4.6C or we need to upgrade ?
will it be only a hard ware req or software req is also needed ?
    Regards
    kiran

This is for those who are new to CRM as GK, Even though this is not specific to CRM 2007, but good to know.
You can only use interdependent changes in sales orders and quotations if you are using SAP CRM 4.0 SP04 and SAP R/3 4.7 from plug in 2003.1 onwards. If you are using SAP CRM 4.0 with SP01, 02 or 03 and SAP R/3 4.7, you can use neither interdependent changes nor the functions described below (also called scenarios X. Y and Z). If you are using different release combinations, you can only use the functions available for data exchange up to that point. You can get information about this in the SAP Help Portal under SAP Cross-Industry Solutions ® SAP Customer Relationship Management and the required Release as well as in SAP Note No. 541113.

    . How to Contact Support
Please note this is a peer forum and Creative's Support staff do not guarantee a reply here. If your issue is urgent, you are within your warranty period and/or you do not get a fast reply here you should contact Creative Labs Technical Support.
To contact support click the Support > Contact Customer Support link on this page.
When contacting Creative Support by email it's important to note that you must reply to the autoresponse email you first receive, as detailed in the email itself. Also make sure to check any spam trap you have on your email system if you have not received a reply.
It's also important if you feel that you have a bug or defect with your product to register that issue directly with support. Don't rely on the forum to raise awareness of an issue.
    2. Hot Topics
This is dividied into 3 sections: General, Tag based players & USB mass storage players.
Make sure to also look at Section 3, which covers some of the other General Issues.
    General
Where do I get the latest software, drivers and firmware?
Click the link Support > Downloads on this page.
In general, when installing on a new PC you need to download the driver, and some software to communicate with the player e.g. MediaSource, Media Explorer. For players using the v2.xx MTP/PlayForsure firmware drivers are not necessary, but you must have Windows XP and Windows Media Player 0 (this provides the MTP driver).
Important: Even though files are described as updates, none of the software requires a previous version to install. At worst they will prompt you to connect your player to verify you own a Creative product.
Note if you are downloading MediaSource make sure to download and install the relevant MediaSource plugin for your player. If MediaSource can't detect your player this is the first thing to check. For the v.xx PDE firmware the plugin is called the Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin for Creative MediaSource , and for the v2 MTP/PlayForSure firmware it's called Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices .
I am completely new to MP3 players, where should I start?
Have a read of my Nomad Primer, so called as Creative's MP3 player range tend to be prefixed with the word Nomad.
I think I have a bug, how can I check?
There's a known bug list hosted at my site here. If you want to add a bug then please
I have a wish request for the player, what can I do?
You can post it here (see the petitions listed in Section of this FAQ), email it to support, and/or add it to the public wishlist I host here by
I'm having connection problems with my player
If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this.
What bit-rate should I encode my music at?
Ultimately it's down to your ears what bit-rate you prefer, and you should listen for yourself to determine it. If you ask on the forum you'll get many different opinions.
Make sure to look at the "MP3 vs. WMA" link below also.
How long should my battery last?
For the Zen and Nomad Jukebox players, to get some idea of how long your battery will last for a given bit-rate look at the battery curves thread. Ultimately battery life is dependent on how you use the player, make sure to follow the "why doesn't my battery last as long as expected?" link below.
How long does an RMA take?
Typically 2 weeks. But it might take a little longer, so don't start posting if it's 5 days.
I want to know how people feel about their Zen Micro/Touch/MuVo etc.
There's a long post titled Experience with your Creative player that has many posts from users about their players. Please search back for threads about specific players before starting a new thread.
Where can I buy online music or get legal downloads for my player?
    See this thread.
My tracks don't play at the correct speed e.g. they play too slowly, why?
Chances are they are encoded in an unsupported sampling frequency. The tracks will need to be re-encoded at a supported bit-rate and/or frequency with something like Creative's MediaSource Audio Converter or dbPowerAmp.
Can a Creative player work on an Apple Mac?
It isn't officially supported, but some kind folks out there have written freeware applications to get your Creative player working with Macs. XNJB provides support for the Zen players, and requires OS X 0.3 or 0.4 (check the site for full details). MuVoHelper solves some problems with getting the MuVo to work optimally. The iTunes Zen plugin should support all Zen players. Note if the link to the plugin is broken just Google "iTunes Zen plugin" to find other sources. Also note there's no guarantee that these programs will work with the Mac, so if you have issues you should address your problems to the developer(s) of the relevant program.
Can a Creative player work on Linux?
Again it isn't officially supported, but again some kinds folks out there have written freeware applications to get your Creative player working. There's the Gnomad2 project. And don't forget the Linux forum at Nomadness.net if you are still having problems.
    Tag Based Players
This section covers the players that use a hard disk and work using tags e.g. Zen Xtra, Touch, Micro, Sleek.
My Zen is not behaving properly, won't startup, or goes into rescue mode. What should I do?
If the Zen is not starting properly or not behaving correctly, first try to reset it. To reset all players except for the Zen Micro there is a small switch on the side of the player typically, that you should press using something like a bent paper clip. Don't use anything sharp. To reset the Zen Micro simply remove the battery and replace it.
If this doesn't work then access rescue mode, and try running a disk cleanup.
Next you should try reloading the firmware/OS, but beware if you are having connection problems also with your PC you may end up with a player that has no firmware and cannot be reloaded.
The last resort is to format the player. This will erase the contents from the player, including the content that ships with the player.
If none of these resolve the problem and you are under warranty you should get in contact with support to arrange replacement of the player.
If you aren't under warranty Creative will still repair the player, which you can arrange by contacting support.
How do I do a Disk Cleanup and/or access Rescue/Recovery Mode?
Refer to the sticky Rescue Mode thread. Disk Cleanup is accessed from this. Note that the MuVo players (with the exclusion of the MuVo? players) do not have Rescue Mode.
How long should a Disk Cleanup take?
It should only take a few minutes, and no longer than 30 minutes. Anything longer than this and there is a problem with the player and you need to contact Creative Support.
How long should a format take?
Only a few seconds. Anything more than a minute and there is a problem with the player and you need to contact Creative Support.
Although I can get into Rescue Mode, I can't select any option, or the options don't work?
If Rescue Mode is not working properly or commands can't be chosen the player is faulty. You need to contact Creative Support.
When are the Zen 20Gb/Neeon going to be released outside of the Asia Pacific region?
Due to popular request the Neeon is launched in the USA, but nowhere else for now. If you want the Neeon then contact your regions Customer Services to request it.
The Zen 20Gb is available from some shops in the USA and Europe e.g. Cambridge Soundworks, and Amazon.co.uk.
Is there a known issue with the Zen Micro headphone socket?
Creative Support have neither confirmed nor denied it officially. Some users have posted purported emails from Creative on the forum saying that the socket has been reinforced, but these have not been confirmed by Creative Support either. The exact incidence of the problem is unknown, but newer players seem to suffer less from it.
Should I buy the Zen Micro or Touch etc. and what colour should it be?
We can't tell you what player to get, or what colour it should be. Look at your collection size and the features of the player (see Nomadworld.com for the product pages) and decide yourself based on this.
Why does my Zen Micro battery drain so quickly?
The standby time (24 hours from turn-off) for the Zen Micro seems to use a lot more power than previous Zens. Creative have released both v (..0+) and v2 (2.20.05+) firmware that reduces the standby time to 4 hours. Make sure to update to one of these if you have a draining problem.
Also see JazzMC's detailed page on this problem.
Why is my Zen Micro/Touch Touchpad so sensiti've and/or difficult to use?
The Touchpads take some time to get used to.

  • Moderator: A FAQ for Windows Compatibility forum?

Would it be possible to do a FAQ section in the Windows Compatibility forum <http://discussions.apple.com/forum.jspa?forumID=687>? Many of the same topics are being asked repeatedly and I feel a FAQ could address most of the similar topics.
I suggest the following as topics for the FAQs:
    1. Microsoft Office questions. These are not relevant to Mac and Windows compatibility and are more appropriately posted in Microsoft's discussion forums.
    2. Boot Camp questions should be directed to the Boot Camp forum and Parallels questions should be directed to <http://fourms.parallels.com>.
    3. The need for antivirus software for Windows when it is running on a Mac.
    4. A list of links detailing how to print from a Mac to a Windows-connected printer and vice versa.

    1 GHz Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Thanks for your replies Ardian and Hardy! I'm glad to see at least the idea is supported by a few others. Maybe it will catch on.
What I find interesting is that the Windows Compatibility forum has become the dumping ground for all the "Windows" questions that don't seem to fit in the forums listed before it. You'll notice on the Forum Home page that it's at the end of the Windows Compatible Technology list. I'm sure folks are ruling out the more specific technologies such as iPod, iTunes, QuickTime, etc., and posting there when they don't know where else to post.
    Windows Compatible Technology
AirPort & AirPort Express for Windows
    Bonjour for Windows
    Boot Camp Public Beta
    iPod
    iTunes for Windows
    QuickTime for Windows
    Windows Compatibility
Even a general FAQ link below or to the right of the the section title would be a helpful guide for folks.
I'm frustrated that more than 50% of my questions seem to be telling first time posters why their questions aren't approrpriate for the forum and which forums they should be using.

Check your board's support page here. Look for the Test Report for Hard Disks. Once a board supports greater than 137gb, any size drive will work. If you see a size such as 160gb tested as OK, then you will be fine!

  • Configuring My Router to Play Diablo II

I recently purchased a Linksys Wireless Router - G (Model Number WRT54G). I got my network up and running with no problems. Both Computers connect to the internet well, but lo and behold it doesn't seem to allow me to play my Diablo 2 Expansion set via a TCP/IP connection. I cannot join my friend's games, and they cannot join my hosted ones. Everything works fine when I disconnect the router and hook up to the Modem like I used to, so I'm guessing it has something to do with the router's settings.
I have already looked into setting up a Diablo II Internet Server using a Linksys Router, under the Wireless Router General FAQ, but to no avail. Setting a static IP, and enabling Port Forwarding did not seem to work. Also, the guide there seems to be written for an earlier version of Firmware than I have. (v8.00.0)
Can someone offer me some suggestions?

I dont have any experience with this game in particular but i might try the DMZ funtion to see if this helps. I would also look at any security programs you have running. I run Mcafee Firewall and Virus and found that sometimes Mcafee caused problems with online gaming especially when trying to host games. i alos did some research check out this site they list some ports that you may or may not know about. See if these help as well. http://portforward.com/cportsnotes/battlenet/battlenet.htm

  • [VIA] KT4V MS 6712 FSB setting

I have recently upgraded my CPU to AMD Athlon XP 2600 which has a FSB of 333, and should be running at 1.9mhz. However it is only running at 1.15MHZ at 100 FSB. What frequency should I put in the FSB CPU Clock in order to get it ruuning at 1.9MHZ, the number in the BIOS only allows 100-280 frequency.

    >> General FAQs for MSI SocketA boards <<
    Quote
I have correctly fitted my CPU but it is not running at its full speed
The default FSB (Front Side Bus) for the cpu has not been determined by the BIOS correctly. Simply enter your BIOS setup, and adjust the CPU FSB speed to the correct value for your processor (usually found in Frequency/Voltage Control menu)
My CPU is advertised as 400FSB CPU, but I cannot set it this high in BIOS
AMD use a "dual-pumped" FSB, which means that it operates at the clock speed in both directions. This is the value you need to set in the BIOS. So for example, for a 400FSB CPU, you need to set the FSB clock to 200mhz.
    set the FSB to 166mz

  • [nForce] K7N2 - MS6570 - Maximum HD 160gb??

I am trying to help someone with a query they have. They are looking to buy a 250/300gb for some extra space, but according to the products general faq the maximum HD size is 160gb.
Someone has told me that its possible to split the drive into 2 partitions, so that each partition falls under the 160gb size limit. Is this true, or is 160 really the total size??
    Many thanks for any advice

Earlier versions of windows imposed limits on the size of the hard drive due to the file structure (FAT32).  XP uses NTFS and with SP1 it has removed any limit on the size of the HD.
XP can recognize and use a FAT32 file system on a HD but Windows 98 (uses FAT32) can't recognize a NTFS file system on a HD.
The 250gig can be installed and used as a slave only with XP if you use it on a single partition.  It has to be partitioned and formatted with FAT32 when used with a FAT32 based OS.
great. thanks very much for all your advice

Thanks for the link, unfortunately p7zip-extra didn't add anything to the context-menu. Will continue searching, since I liked the 7zip menu. Anyways - my main problem is now solved - shouldn't be a big problem to manually add that menu back again.
Edit: For future readers - just got back the context-menu entries by re-installing following:
    pacman -S p7zip desktop-file-utils wxgtk

  • A note to Moderator Mark W. (its polite)

Mark - wondering if you might be able to create a FAQ sticky uptop.
In particular I am thinking about something along the lines of:
Can I purchase an iPhone and put a SIM card in it in London (Italy/Russia/Ireland)
    - No, not at this time. The current iPhone works only with an ATT contract purchased in the USA.
How do I cut and paste?
    - You can't at this time.
How do I use my own ringtones/download ringtones?
    - That is not possible at this time, although it might be included in a future iTunes upgrade.
How do I increase the volume on my iPhone?
    - Under settings, be sure that your sound is set to maximum. Use the black rocker button on the left to increase volume while listening to music, talking, etc.
Does the 3G logo on the SIM card mean that this will eventually be a 3G phone?
    - No, all ATT/Cingular new SIM cards have had the 3G logo on them since November 2006.
What is people's average battery time? Is my phone defective?
    - Listing average battery times from the many many threads on this
I know there are a lot of questions you probably see all day long -- but I think it would be useful to have something like a general FAQ at this time, since so many people are asking the exact same questions and it is creating huge forum clutter now.

Hey Paul -- I didn't intend any of what I wrote to
actually be an FAQ -- just a suggestion of topics
    that should be included.
Most forums that I belong to (except for this one,
and ironically CIngular/ATT's) usually have a popup
that says "Please read the FAQ and do a search before
    posting a new thread"
That is pretty standard forum fare.
At a minimum at least having an FAQ would eliminate
most of the ground clutter we have going here right
now. How many more MMS threads do we need per day? Of
course, that also points to readers doing no searches
    at all, and just posting.
I agree with you, however the forum feedback is teh beast place for these kinds of thing. The iPhone forum is just for support. Not requests. If you have a group of suggested requests, I can let a moderator (mark if you like) to check it out for you. Otherwise he can be informed of it in the feedback forum.
Your post is merely in the wrong location. I am just helping your suggestion get the proper attention. Its a great start so far.

  • Which application should I use?? Any help would be great!!

I'm rather new to web-design, and I need some general guidance.  I am looking at taking on a rather ambitious project for my company.  I need to create a website that can do all of the following:
Host online classes.  These would be some sort of flash-based class, I'm guessing.  They would have video, audio, slides and tests.
Client logins.  Clients need to be able to see their accounts, and a list of past classes that they have taken.
Class Calendar.  I need create an interactive calendar where someone can chose which class they would like to attend, and register for it.  Needs to be searchable.
Shopping Cart.  People need to be able to register / pay for classes and materials.
News / FAQ / Comments sections.  The website needs to be able to have revolving content.  A way where I can put a bunch of News / Customer feedback comments into a database, and the website will refresh with content from this database.  Also need a general FAQ section.
Employee Logins.  Employees need to be able to login to the website and pull up a list of who is registered for a class, whether or not they are paid, and whether or not their materials have been sent.  Employees also need to be able to upload documents to managers.  Managers also need to be able to assign To Dos to employees.
Contact Database. I need the website to host an online contact database for our company.
It would be spectacular if our website could also host some sort of online accounting database.  Most of our people work from remote locations, so it would be immensly helpful if our accounts manager could keep an online register, which the owners could view whenever they wish.
I know this is a pretty involved list - and I'm not looking for someone to walk me through each step of putting it together - just someone to point me in the right direction!  Like I said, I'm fairly new to web-design and I have no idea which programs I should even be looking into.  I don't know if Dreamweaver can accomplish most / all of these things, or if I should looking moreso at Flash Builder or the eLearning suite.... or a combination of the those three.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    WOW
That really is a long list.
There is nothing out there with a one stop solution for all of that, there really just isn't. It pretty much needs to be paid for, get a professional to do it. Or should I say, professionals
There are a lot of skills involved, I doubt one person could do all of that well.
If you REALLY want to go for this on your own then split each problem up and post it in the relevant forum. I.E, the flash bit...post it on a flash forum, mention the calendar on another etc.
No one will help you with that list on here.
