i use the command:

And this file can not be opened in MAT. it gets plain text with error character encoding.

On Linux?
$ ulimit -a
$ echo -e "(Hard) file size limit (blocks): \c";ulimit -Hf
$ echo -e "(Soft) file size limit (blocks): \c";ulimit -Sf
$ sudo ulimit -f unlimited

    Hello,
The key will of course be to isolate differences between your machines.
I wonder if the following more specific language setting could be the lingering problem.  LabVIEW is a non-unicode program, and there is a language setting in Windows (at least XP) specifically for non-unicode programs.  Try the following (or it's Win2K equivalent) if you haven't already:
    0. Open "Control Panel"
    1. Open the "Regional and Language Options"
    2. On the Advanced tab, choose English (United States) from the drop-down menu under the top section "Language for non-Unicode Programs"
    - This language setting is different from the setting on the "Regional Options" tab.
Any other differences you can isolate would be potentially insightful - if you have the same software versions installed in the same order on both machines, we may be looking for something a bit subtle, such as the suspected language setting.

  • Help file fails to generate RoboHelp 7 and Word 2003

Hello, I am back again with a new struggle.  I am creating a WinHelp4 file for an older application using Word 2003 and Robohelp 7.  There are several different results regardless of whether I make updates, corrections, add jumps, change Topic IDs or do nothing when I click on generate:
    1.  sometimes it generates and works perfectly, just not very often, usually between 8 and 805am ET.
    2.  sometime it will generate an error:  Failed to compile
    3.  another error:  filename.rtf does not exist, but it is there in the folder
    4. generates a Warning, but I don't know what the warning is as it does not show it
    5. generates a blank Help with only a single glossary definition
    6. not enough memory ( 1 gb is available)
    7. corrupted file, rerun and it works...sometimes
    I have:
    1. Started over
    2. Rebooted
    3. Uninstalled and reinstalled RoboHelp 7 and all updates
    4. Tried adding one item (jump, new topic, changed topic, updates to TOC, renamed anything) at a time and then generated file
    5. Create an html from Word...I know silly but it worked some of the time.
I feel like there must be a setting error I missing or something hidden that I need to remove.  There is something or a very big bug! I can't find anything and RoboHelp 7, Word 2003 and creating Winhelp4 files have been fine the last 2 months...now...not so fine.
Please help!  I am so close to finished!
    Thanks,
and if this isn't enough, I cannot generate a print to PDF either, but used to!

I wish I could try on a different PC.  This is a government facility and that is not an option.  There are only 2 of us who have RH and I think the other person may have left last week...what luck!
As far as anything else running, that is possible....I may try disconnecting the network and see if it will work...that should check it, right?
Background resources are very probable as their are virus scanners and who knows what else...my rights are very limited, no Admin rights to the machine.
It just amazes me that it has worked and now at the very final stage and updates it will not.  I am in early when it usually works, 745a ET and it failed.  These are the error messages and I usually get this type:
Warning - HC4004: datcap.rtf is not an RTF (Rich Text Format) file.
Warning - HC4009: The Topic ID "Data_Capture_Operations" specified in the Project files as the Default Topic does not exist.
What is odd, is they are both there and have worked consistently up until this recent failure....cannot complile.
I know this is long, but here is the notpad error:

  • Adogjf Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP error while patching

    Hi,
I'm upgrading my version of Java from 1.3.1_19 to 1.5.0_17. I downloaded the jdk-1_5_0_17-linux-i586.bin file and unpackaged it to /u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0. It unpackaged it to a new directory jdk1.5.0_17 (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17), whereas the old version is in a directory jdk (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk).
Having done that I had to run an interoperability patch (4372996). Upon running this patch I received an error at the end:
adogjf() Unable to generate jar files under JAVA_TOP
    There were no other errors.
I think the problem has to do with where my new java version is located but I'm not sure. I'm thinking that it's still looking under the old JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk) when I want it to look under the new JAVA_TOP (/u0/<SID>/<SID>db/10.2.0/jdk1.5.0_17). So, should I move the contents from the new directory (jdk1.5.0_17) to the old directory (jdk) or is there a way to 'point' it to the new JAVA_TOP.
Please let me know if I'm totally off base and there's another solution. We're currently on EBS 11.5.10.2, DB 10.2.0.4 and RHEL 4 Update 5.
    Thanks,
    Lia.

Here you go. Hope this helps you to help me :-). Thanks.

    dilip

    Hi,
I am not sure what do you want to convey here - "It is working with Reports builder and not working with menu". From Report builder, only way to generate the otput to file is to go through menu, there are no other shortcut or toolbar icon present. Do you want to say, it works when you run to previewer but is failing when you generate to a file. To give you a hint:
    1. Does the problem exist with only this report or with all the reports?
    2. If the problem is with all the reports, then there is a setup problem.
    3. Try running PRINTER DRIVER TEST against your printer, to check it is ok?
    4. Check that the login under which you are trying to run the report, has the priviledge to print with this default printer.
    5. Try changing the printer driver?
If this does not solve the problem, please contact Oracle support to resolve this issue.
    Thanks,

Finally i compare the environments (Production, Dev and QAS) and in DEV and QAS this report works perfectly (generate PDF file correctly). I compare configurations of them and they have the same parameters and values.
The Support Desktop tools set on green all (DEV and QAS)
I found an article about the ADS rfc that use the adobe document service, so i check in the environment production and this doesn't exists (using SM59).  I check in the environments DEV and QAS and this doesn't exists, but in both evironments appears just "ADS is enabled" and works perfectly.
I tried to execute the program test of PDF's (FP_TEST_IA_01 and FP_TEST_00) on the three environments and not working on all.
Please help me with this, i am crazy with this!!!
    Thanks and greetings.

  • Performance problems to generate PDF files using CR

    Hi,
I develop an application that read TXT files and uses this information to generate PDF files, but I'm having problems with performance to generate this PDF, each files are taking at least 1 minute to create the file. I realized that some TMP and RPT files are generated and deleted in the temp folder of the machine which is running the application, but after some time creating the PDF's the RPT files aren't deleted and I have an exception on my app:
    Memory full.
    Failed to export the report.
Not enough memory for operation.    at CrystalDecisions.ReportAppServer.Controllers.ReportSourceClass.Export(ExportOptions pExportOptions, RequestContext pRequestContext)

The server who is running this application is a Dual Core AMD Opteron 2.61 ghz, 7 GB RAM
The framework version is 2.0 and the Crystal Reports dll version is 10.5.3700.0
    Thanks.

    Hi,
If you are using IIS5 the give aspnet full permission to the Temp folders. For IIS6 give  IIS_wpg permission.
For this you need to right click on the folder,
    go to properties,
    security tab,
    click on Add,
    Type aspnet/iis_wpg,
select top note in Location and click on check on check names.
    Give full control and
    click ok.
Also try using GC.Collect(), reportDocObject.Close() and reportDocObject.Dispose() as clean up code.
    Regards,
    AG.

  • Dac not generating paramter files for unspecified mapping in one workflow

    Hi,
We are facing a problem with DAC while generating parameter files.I have a task in DAC which is calling a workflow(It contains two sessions,1.SILOS mapping,2.SILOS_UNSPECIFIED mapping).
Both are using the same parameter file.
During Development DAC used to generate parameters for both sessions in the same file. Both now in diff environment,it is generating parameters for the first session
and for unspecified mapping it is not generating any parameters. So unspecified mappings are failing.
    Any one help?

Please check whether the file parameterfileDW.txt has the section for that unspecified workflow. If not please copy and paste from DEV env and restart the load.
If it exists in parameterfileDW.txt and still not not generating section for unspecified session in parameter file then try running the below command at <infa_home>\server\bin
    pmrep listobjectdependencies -n <WORKFLOW_NAME> -o workflow -f <FOLDER_NAME> -d session -p children
and see whether the output as your unspecified session and post your observations.

    Hi
    my OS: OUL5x64
    DB: 11.1.0.7
receive this error in alert.log but could not figure out which parameter to increase.
    Can someone please help.
Non critical error ORA-48913 caught while writing to trace file
Error message: ORA-48913: Writing into trace file failed, file size limit [10485760] reached
    the suggestion:
ORA-48913: Writing into trace file failed
*Cause:An attempt was made to write into a trace file that exceeds the trace's file size limit
*Action:increase the trace's file size limit.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi ,
I have one more doubt :
    ORACLE_SID=XXXX
    /XXXX/XX/ofaroot/XXXX/diag/rdbms/xxxx/XXXXX/trace
Non critical error ORA-48913 caught while writing to file "trace /XXXX/XX/ofaroot/XXXX/diag/rdbms/xxxx/XXXXX/trace/XXXX_ora_8218.trc"
Error message: ORA-48913: Writing into trace file failed, file size limit [10485760]everywhere its written to increase the parameter max_dump_file_size or to relocate the alert log, but as far as i understand ,
is this because a trace file with the name XXXX_ora_8218.trc was getting generated with a greater size than the one defined in max_dump_file_size. Is this what happened ?
Also , I am not able to find what directory does this parameter points to ? is it the trace directory or diag directory ?
i checked select * from v$diag_info ,but i could not find any conclusion.
Probably , on getting the above info , i will be able to decide where to move the alert.log to create space.

  • Generating category tree failed! on secmon reporting

This morning I wanted to create a new report in the security monitor of our vms 2.2 server.
I selected reports and the definitions> create > ids alarms report and then proceeded to the try select some specific signatures from the ids signature dropdown menu below. In the part where the signature categories are meant to appear, there is an error message.
    “Generating category tree failed!”
If I point at the error with the mouse
“Error while building the SETI category tree”
I have attached a jpeg file that shows the error message.
Is this a bug and if so, how can we fix it?

Once again, I guess I should search the bug database before opening new conversations. Many apologies for that…
I found the bug in the bug database at Cisco. The bug is entitled
“SecMon: cannot create report based on signature ID” (CSCsc31745)
    According to the bug:
The report section tries to grab the latest signatures to include in the "IDS Signature" section, it does this based on the latest signature level then the latest service pack number. If there is say, 4.1(5)S197 AND 5.0(4)S197 installed on the VMS server, the report will try to use 4.1(5)S197 because its SP number is later. This fails and the "Generating Category Tree Failed" error is displayed. (auto signature download is responsible for that!!)
The Workaround is to replacement a Java file that resolves this issue which can be obtained by opening a TAC case and referencing this bug ID.
