Generate PDF in WebDynpro 4 ABAP

Hi,
I have the problem, that I would generate a PDF from WebDynpro 4 ABAP and show it in the WebDynpro application.
I found the possibility to solve it with the interactive Forms but therefore Adobe Document Service must be installed and the Usage Type BI Java as to be installed on a Web Application Server Java.
My question is:
Is there any possibility to realize this with Smartforms and integrate it in Webdynpro?
Or is there any other possibility?
Interactive Forms is more than I need. I only want to create and show the document as PDF.

You can then store the PDF output using the function module GUI_DOWNLOAD, for example, as a local file on your PC.

Uploading PDF into webdynpro for ABAP

Hello,
I have a small Webdynpro for ABAP with an Interactive Form. I can fill my fields in this form. Now I downloaded the PDF to my local drive, changed the fields and tried to upload it again. Thats where my problem is:
I cant upload my changes. I used a File_upload UI Element which is binded to a attribute FORM.FILE type xstring. This attribut I binded to the Interactive_Form element field pdfsources. I implemented a button with an action for my server roundtrip.
I thought thats it but unfortunetly not. Can anybody tell me what I am missing.

How to display employee photo in pdf through WebDynpro OR ABAP print Progr?

hi,
I have uploaded employee photos using TCODE OAOH. Now all the employee photos are stored in Archive link.
Now my requirement is i have get the employee photo and display it in PDF using PDF forms and webdynpro OR using ABAP print program.
I am able to get the employee photo from SAP archive link using ABAP code. After this i have to upload this to MIME reository. From MIME repository i have to display it in PDF forms from WEbDynpro.
I tried with ABAP print program, directly calling the PDF form in program and display the employee data with Employee Photo. With my program i am able to see only employee data. But it's not displaying employee Photo.
Plz any helps to display employee photo in PDF forms using either webdynpro OR ABAP printprogram.
If ur reply is related to WebDynpro, pla tel me how to upload photo to MIME repository From Archive Link.
Since all the employee photos are uploaded into Archive link using Tcode OAOH. From this i have to get the employee photo and upload it to MIME repository and i have to display it in PDF forms.

1)You can use the program BSP_UPDATE_MIMEREPOS to upload the photos in the mime repository.
2)Use the following code to get the content from your mime and set the content to your interactive UI element as Xstring format.

Change the mode to updateDatainPdf and verify. Also check with BASIS folks if they have installed Reader Rights credential for using Interactive forms.

Hi All,
I have to display Invoice as PDF. I'm trying to see the output of the smart-form being used through Transaction VF03 and then using that through Transaction zfacinv checked the output. But, my problem is that I'm unable to check which Smartform is being used therein.
Please guide me to find the name of the Smartform being used.

Offline Interactive PDF Forms Using EMail with WebDynpro for ABAP

These is a tutorial on implementing Offline Interactive PDF Forms using Email to both send out and receive the form back using WebDynpro for Java.
Is it possible to implement the same using WebDynpro for ABAP, specifically receiving the forms via email server.

Generate PDF format from ABAP List using 'RSPO_SR_OPEN'

I need some help on the following code. I have 2 cases.
First case:
I am using the function Module 'RSPO_SR_OPEN' to create spool from the List Output.
Once I get the Spool number from Above function Module I will submit it through report RSTXPDF5 to get spool request for PDF data created.
I will use this spool number in the report RSTXPDFT5 to download it to Local system in PDF format.
PDF will be generated but I am unable to open the PDF, some conversion error.
Second Case:
Instead of using function Module 'RSPO_SR_OPEN' , I will use standard Print button on the application toll bar to generate the spool number and then remaining step follows.
In this case PDF file is generating as per the requirement.
Now my question is why system does not work properly when I am using function module 'RSPO_SR_OPEN' .

Space and URL in table while generating PDF

Hi Gurus,
I am generating a PDF document via WebDyenpro ABAP (SE80), I am facing a following problem's
1. While populating data in a particular record there comes a extra space [or i dont know what] which occupies full page below it causing disturbance in formatting of full PDF.
AND.....
2. From the set of records there are some URL's and Text's values of same which needs to be converted to hyperlink.

Mass upload & Download of PDFs in Web Dynpro ABAP

Hi All,
Is it possible to download multiple PDF's at one go ? for example if you have a Table UI control where each row has one clickable link that generates a PDF using WebDynpro ABAP Application, we want to enable multiselect property of Table UI and provide Mass Download Button control on click of which all selected rows should generate PDF and then get dowloaded to a specific location on machine (c:/). or if there is any other alternative possible ?similarly for Mass Upload we wish to multi select PDFs and upload them to R/3 at one go ?
please let me know if such thing is possible ? if yes is it a good option to have ? as we have users who have to upload these PDF one by one and they wish if they could simply select all PDFs at one go and click Mass upload..Note that there are some validation that we perform once we upload PDF before posting PDF data to backend.

You simply use the CL_ABAP_ZIP class to combine the multiple binary strings of the word files together.

Web Dynpro for ABAP - Getting Started
Web Dynpro for ABAP is SAPs new standard UI technology for developing user interfaces in the ABAP environment. In the long term Web Dynpro for ABAP will be the successor of the traditional screen (Dynpro) based user interface technology which is based on the SAP GUI. Available with NetWeaver 7.0 (2004s) Web Dynpro for ABAP provides the same declarative UI development paradigm as Web Dynpro for Java directly out of the NetWeaver ABAP Application Server. Error while generating PDF

Hello Guru's,
I have done the ADS configuration setup and checked all configuration settings.It seems everything is working fine but when i select the option "Print Verison" ( I have executed a query using the query designer) i am getting above error.
FYI: Its a BI 700 system and we are at Suport pack10 level (both ABAP+Java). By the way i should let you know that it is a copy of Production.

I have executed the test report FP_TEST_00 and i got a form containing several lines on two pages.I have checked all the configuration checks and got the correct results as mentioned in the ADS document. But when i try to print a query using the query analyzer,i am getting that PDF error. I have no issues with my other BI 700 system.

I am currently having the issue that I receive the error "Error while generating PDF" when using the "Print Version" functionality. This problem only occurrs for the Bex Web Query. I know that the ADS service is configured correctly- The webservice test is successful and other applications (Guided Procedures, MSS) also use it successfully.

Hi Jan,
Most possible causes for encountering this issue are:
Possible cause:
- The ADS is installed on a plattform, that is currently not supported by SAP for ADS. Please check the avaliablity at: Product Availability Matrix
- Mixing of different Netweaver releases (NW04 and NW04s) -> This is unfortunatelly not possibble the J2EE engine release has to match with the ABAP stack release in order connect them properly.
- The ADS SP level does not match the J2EE engine SP level. -> Please update the software components to have the same support package level.

I have some PDF content which I need to print it, these PDF files are generated outside the SAP.

How to generate PDF copy of invoice list

Hi All,
I need a favor from you in helping to generate a PDF copy to invoice list .
I observed that spool is not generated for this print output of invoice list but output successfully triggered.
we have z report (zretrieval ) to generated the PDF but it's not allowed to generate PDF.
I tried alternative method by saving the print preview but I can able to save only that particular page.
our business looking for all invoice list pages in single pdf so please guide me to proceed further.

I presume your issue is output triggered but PDF file is not generating if the invoice list goes for multiple pages. If this is correct, then you need to talk to your ABAPer as they only, have to check the smartform being used for invoice list.
