Generating BPEL Suitecase without endpoint

Hi
I have a BPEL project which has the wsdlRuntimeLocation set in the bpel.xml.
When I generate this project, it will not generate unless I have the service endpoint defined in the wsdl available for JDeveloper to resolve.
Is there a way of "trusting" the endpoint will be there at deployment time?
My service endpoint is external to me, and as such I need to be able to generate my suitecase and deploy the JAR independently of the endpoint being available.

Process Modelling in Aris, generating BPEL & deployment to Oracle App Serve

We are considering using Aris to model some business process and using its functionality to generate BPEL for its deployment onto a Service Oriented Architecture i.e. Oracle App Server with BPEL Process Manager. Has anyone had any specific exposure to Aris and its BPEL deployment onto the Oracle App Server.
- Is there an approach (methodology) from previous experience that someone can recommend.
- How seamless/complex is the generation and deployment of the BPEL onto the Oracle BPEL Process Manager.
- Are there any issues or lessons learnt from people using Aris to generate BPEL to the Oracle BPEL Process Manager?

I am dealing with the same problems. I did already some testings using the EPCs of ARIS and tried to establish the link with the BPEL Process Manager. Still it doesn't work seamlessly, maybe with the new realease of ARIS the link will be possible. I am not aware of any methodology in that context, it means we need to develop one.

Hi Om,
I hope that you have alreayd maintained the required master data for Quota Arrangement.
Also have you maintained configuration of Lot-Sizing Procedure ? You need to select "Splitting Quota" indicator in a particular Lot-Size Procedure, which you're going to assign in material master.

There are various options
1.IDENTITY columns - simplest to implement
2. Using NEWID(), NEWSEQUENTIALID() functions (if you want to use GUID values as surrogate keys)
3. SEQUENCE object (if SQL 2012 and above)
4. Using custom functions to generate keys yourself

What is the advantages/disadvantages of using BPEL only without BAM, and the combination for Error and Exception management in SOA?
Please let me know if anybody had this experience?

Hi,
Both variants have pro's and cons. If you plan to use VBA you have to consider the deployment settings on other p.c.'s where you have to allow macro's where as a regular form doesn't have the need for that.
That said the userform gives you much more control because the form command is not saved. it is simply a temporary form which you have to setup every time. It's perfect for data entry. If you are looking for data validation the userform is the one to go
for. You also have the possibility to work on placements of the data entry.
So if you are looking for speed and simplicity then go for the form command. If it is handling control you are after I'd go for a userform.

Importing BPMN and Generating BPEL

Hi,
I have been doing some preliminary research into BPA's abilities and have gone through most of the documenation available through Oracle's website. I have not found explicit answers to the following so I appreciatte any insight you can offer. I am looking to generate BPMN compliant business processes using an external tool. I want to then use BPA to possibly import these processes and then generate an executable process in BPEL. If the external tool produces pure BPMN compliant models will this be possible in BPA?

Hi,
another approach is the transformation of the BPMN coming from Visio into a model that can be understood by the BPA suite. We have a tool for this conversion. With a simple mapping functionality you can map any Visio output to BPA Suite compatible diagrams (based on the 116 diagram types defined by the IDS), import them into BPA and generate BPEL out of it.

assuming c represents a text field.
This will type the character 'a' in the text field:
c.dispatchEvent( new KeyEvent (c, KeyEvent.KEY_TYPED, 0, 0, KeyEvent.VK_UNDEFINED, 'a') );
This will invoke Ctrl+F1, which will show the tool tip for the text field:
c.dispatchEvent( new KeyEvent (c, KeyEvent.KEY_PRESSED, 0, KeyEvent.CTRL_MASK, KeyEvent.VK_F1) );

Run xlf + xls to generate ppt / swf - without opening Xcelsius

I have a once designed dashboard, meaning one xlf.
Now I want to run the xlf with an alway new analysis.xls.
Of cause the the pattern of the analysis.xls is the same (only latest data).
Now my question, how can I generate ppt files without opening Xcelsius.
like:
cmd: run xlf on xls
output: ppt or swf

Is it possible to generate a report without supplying the Hierarchy Id and Entity Ids?

I'm new to this Chargeback JAVA API.
What I wanted was to create/generate a report without having to provide a hierarchy id or entity id.
It's like more of a dump report for all the hierarchies and entities managed by the Chargeback server.

How to update image files in web pages generated by servlet without redeploying

HI,
I have a servlet which generates html pages with images. Those images changes
as they are graph generated regularly. They are placed in s directory where the
application is deployed. It is necessary because I have made some security constraints
for the location of those files. However it seems that when I deploy my application
on WLS all files contained in the application directory are cached, and when for
ex. I delete some of them they are still appear in generated html pages. only
Redeployment of application updates the state of those files.
Is there a way to make the application to be aware of any changes in images files
and to load updated ones??
i would be interested in a situatioin like with default WLS servelt (DefaultWeb
Application) where any new files are seen as soon as they are placed in Default
WebApplication directory.
Is there a way to periodically redeploy application from CLI?

If you are using the htp package, you are presumably developing for an application server? Can the people who set that up not help you with your development environment?
Setup is too complicated to cover here. Check out the Oracle HTTP Server documentation on oracle's documentation pages.
Briefly, you need to install Oracle HTTP Server and then configure a data access desciptor to connect to your database.

F110 Generate Check Number without creating a spool.

Dear Gurus,
In F110 Automatic Payment Run, I want to generate check numbers but without creating a spool. I want to do so because the interface would give the cheque details straight away to the banks. Also a spool should not be created in system for control purposes to avoid duplication.

Hi,
Create a blank payment form and assign it to the payment method in FBZP. Thus no cheque is printed / spool created when running the print program in F110. At the same time cheque numbers are also generated.

How to use application builder to generate installation disk without compiling the the support files?

What I am trying to do is to use LV application builder generating an installation disk without compiling the support files. I mean:
the support fils like the help files are located on a different directory , for example, installation disk is D drive, help file directory is: D:\Help\..., not compiled in the installation Data set.
So, when the installation disk is running, it only copy this directory file into the destiny directory. Of course, we can write a different bat file to do this. However, beside this method, is there any way, like using LV application builder to do this without writing a batch file. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

For LabVIEW 7.1, this can be done in a few short steps. First, add your help file as a support file in the Application Builder. Then go to the Installer tab, choose to create an installer and click on the Files button at the bottom. From this dialog (shown below), you can specify the destination for each component in your install package. If you have added your help file as a support file, it will show up in the Files in Installation list. Click on your help file to highlight it. You can now choose where to install the file to by specifying an installation destination and a subdirectory. The default subdirectory is called data, but if you want to change that, just type in a new subdirectory name as I have done below:

WSDL without endpoint in Services Registry

Hi,
I have successfully configured an enterprise service from ECC 6.0 by following this tutorial ([Configuration of Enterprise Services using SICF and SOAMANAGER|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/20b723f8-a422-2c10-aca5-fe64eeda1ff2&overridelayout=true]). After the configuration, I published the enterprise service to the Services Registry using WSPUBLISH.
However, when I tried to consume the service in Visual Composer, I got a connection error. Later, I discovered that it was due to the binding WSDL generated in SOAMANAGER in which the endpoint port was automatically set to 443 instead of 8001 (my http port). Luckily enough, I have found an identical problem posted to SDN forum ([soamanager referencing wrong port number in wsdl document |soamanager referencing wrong port number in wsdl document;). From there I learned that an SAPNOTE 1263112 must be uploaded to my ERP. Now, this problem is solved.
Nevertheless, after I have built a VC model that consumes the service, which is now found in the Services Registry, deployed and run it, I got this error message "Error in connection: Could not execute Web service, consult your administrator". To investigate the source of the problem, I copied the URL of the WSDL generated in SOAMANAGER from the link Open WSDL document for selected binding and created a logical destination in NWA for the direct consumption in VC. This time, the VC model worked!
This lead me to think that the problem lies in the binding WSDL in Services Registry. So, I checked the SR again and found that the URL for the binding WSDL in the "Endpoint" tab is different from the one in SOAMANAGER:
1. In SR
http://myserver:8001/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_4AAD0B64E0BC0263E1008000C0A8A53D/wsdl11/binding/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
2. In SOAMANAGER
http://myserver:8001/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/bndg_4AAD0B64E0BC0263E1008000C0A8A53D/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800
The binding WSDL in SR does not contain the endpoint. However, the endpoint is shown in the 2nd column "Target Address" of the endpoint table in "Endpoint" tab.
To summarize, I could not consume service that was configured in SOAMANAGER and subsequently published to SR. But, with the WSDL in SOAMANAGER, the service could be directly consumed.
Does anyone have idea about this problem?

Hi,
Usually endpoint in SR is published as per SOAMANAGER (allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=800). Try to republish service again using "WSPUBLISH" with endpoint and chose "force publication" option.
You can also publish service using url directly from SR (goto "publish" tab).

Designer generating CG_REF_CODES inserts without the table name.

We have upgraded our repository from 9i to 10g and now when we generate DDL we get our insert statements for the CG_REF_CODES table without a table name. I am sure that this must be a setting somewhere but I can't find any reference to it in the help. The following is an example of the generated .avt file from our 10g installation.

Sounds like a bug to me, but one thing you can check is the generator options that affect the reference code table. In the Design Editor select your application in the navigator, then the Options menu. Select "Generator Options...", then "General..."
One thing you might fool with is the File Name Length restriction - mine is blank, but then I tend not to use CG_REF_CODES, so I haven't generated them for quite a while. Try setting it to 30, which would be the right number for Oracle, or to 0, which is supposed to mean "no restriction".
