Generating IDoc DDF structures for EDI mapping

Hello all,
I am looking for a way to generate IDoc DDF structures to use them in the EDI mapping in Gentran.
I was able to find one on ERPGenie.com (developed by Kevin Wilson) but it is only available for ECC 4.x. We are on ECC 6 and the program gives me an ABAP dump when I try to run it.
Does anyone have the fix for this code? Or perhaps another way to accomplish this task?
Actually, I am only interested in generating the MBGMCR02 IDoc
Thanks for your help

It's been a long time since I have done any IDOC processing.
Go to SE37 and enter the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS.  Display the source code.  Search for "CALL CUSTOMER".  You should see several "CALL CUSTOMER-FUNCTION" lines.  These are enhancements where you can manipulate the IDOC data.  If you locate the correct one (where the data is read from the IDOC but not yet validated), you should be able to map the partner function value.  Double-clicking on the number in quotes will bring you to an "EXIT_" function module.  A "ZX" INCLUDE program is referenced.  If you haven't used the exit yet, double-clicking on the ZX INCLUDE will create it.  The values passed into the function module are available in the INCLUDE.
Ideally, you should create a project in transaction CMOD that references the chosen enhancement.  This way you can activate/deactivate without commenting/uncommenting the code in the INCLUDE.

    Hi Moorthy,
I checked connection in SM59 all r working fine using test connection.
In XI I have created 2 different RFC's for R/3.
    1) "D11" with my personal login ID of R/3
    2) "D11-060" with some special login ID "XIRFCUSER" of R/3
In IDX1 if i am using D11 and when i am trying to import Idoc in IDX2 i am getting error "Communication error: 'User ROHILLAU has no RFC authorization for functio'"
But when i use D11-060 in IDX1 i am able to import Idoc in IDX2.
But in IR-> Import SAP Object, I am using my ID for import and getting error "JCO.Client not connected in repository call"
Is in IR i also need to use "XIRFCUSER".

  • Unable to generate IDOCs in BD30 for BOMs because of Validity Date

    Hello everyone,
I am having a unique issue with our Bills of Materials. After they are created and set to active, they have validity dates that go from 2001 to 9999. When I go to BD30 to distribute the BOM to the external systems I am getting the following error message:
No bill of material exists on 08/25/2009 for 2557B27H02/FBLR/1/01
    Message no. BOM014
    Diagnosis
You want to distribute BOM 2557B27H02/FBLR/1/01 via ALE. However, the BOM is invalid on 08/25/2009.
    System Response
The system does not distribute the BOM.
    Procedure
    Check the BOM's validity.
If you want to distribute all BOMs with the change status for another key date, enter another valid-from date on the initial screen.
If you only want to distribute a certain BOM with the change status for another key date, enter another valid-from date or a change number on the selection screen.
We get this for any BOM in this system.
This is our QA environment and do not have this problem in our Development system. BD30 finds the BOM we specified but claims it is invalid on that date.
We are trying to figure out if there is another status or approval step that I am missing here.
    SAP v4.7 level 19
Thanks and points awarded for helpful answers!
    John

    Hi
Enter a lower validity date like 8/25 2004 and try. If not check if there is any change management activated. Also check the ignore distribution lock. Please revert for further discussion

  • Automatic Output determination for PO for EDI

I have a requirement to generate IDOCs automatically when POs are created/changed (only for certain plants) and send this PO to a certain plant which is set up as a customer ( KU partner type in Partner profile )
I have done the following :
    1) Created a Z output type - Z005
    2) Created Partner profile with message determination for ORDERS with process code Me10 (also added ORDCHG with ME11 later).
    3) Create condition table - 925 with PO output type and Plant as criteria
    4) Maintained and activated requirement routine(here i check if Mat. type is 'RAW' and force sy-subrc = 0) and access sequence.
    5) Maintained message schema and added my condition type (Z005) and requirement routine(911) there.
    6) I have config to submit IDOCs immediately in Partner profile and in NACE.
But somehow, the output type Z005 for EDI (6) is not automatically created when I create a PO that matches my conditions.
I am able to create an Idoc when I manually Key in Z005 in PO header message.Once i save after manually enter the message type, it is auto generating on any further updates.
Am I missing any config to auto generate Z00t type output for EDI  for the first time?
    Thanks in advance.

  • Source of xslt mapping and XSD/ XMT target structures for standard Idocs

    Hi,
I am working on R/3 - XI - ICH scenario. I need xslt mapping and XSD/ XML target structures for standard IDoc like PROACT01,DELFOR01, DELVRY03. I tried to search it on marketplace but couldn't find it there. As per configuration document, these things are shipped with XI mapping content in live cache CD. But I don't have this CD with me. Can anybody tell me the source for these target structures and mapping program. ( Please share marketplace, site link or send me across the mail [email protected])
    Thank you in advance.
    Anand More.

Anand the other option is to import the corresponding idocs into your integration repository and then you can view the generated XSD there.
As regards XSLT mapping, you need to basically first identify as to what form you want to transform your source idoc into.
For some help on XSLT mapping check the following threads,

  • Java mapping for EDI order document

    hi,
My project is to convert a EDI-850 Purchase Order Document using XI into an R/3 system.I planned t use java mapping So,I had got the java code necessary for the mapping from a tool called ALTOVA XML MAPRFORCE.
I have converted the code into a .jar file and put into the XI server. The mapping is working fine now. If i give an EDI order document as input to the mapping and test the mapping the out put is coming correctly.
Now i dont know what I should do in the Integration directory.
As I have to convert this document and post it in a R/3 system.I have found the function module to create a Purchase Order also "BAPI_PO_CREATE".
What should I do next ?

    Hi Mithun,
    Follow the steps below:
    1. BAPI is a RFC function module. So you import into Integration Repository. Then map your output to the structure of RFC.
    2. In the integration Directory,
    a. Create a business service representing your source.
    b. Create a business system representing your R/3 system.
Before creating business sytem, first you need to register it as a techincal system and business system in sld.
    c. Create a Sender Agreement to pick the message from source system. Depending upon the type of source system, you need to configure the sender adapter.
    d. Create Receiver determination to route the message to the target system
    e. Create interface determination to pick the current Interface mapping to convert source message to target message
    f. Create Receiver Agreement to send the message to R/3 System. This should encapsulate Receiver Communication channel which is using IDoc adapter.
    Reward if helpful.

    Suraj Kumar.

  • Problem with Sender Agreement for EDI File to Idoc scenario

I'm configuring PI for EDI with Seeburger Adapter (Calling as a Module) and I'm having an issue with the Sender Agreement using File Adapter.
Process used is File to IDOC. EDI data will be picked up from VAN (Using existing FTP process rather than using Seeburger FTP) and stored in a folder which is being accessed by PI  to send to R/3 to create orders.
All my inbound EDI will be stored in same folder which should be picked up by XI and distribute the same depending upon the respective scenario's in ID and respective mapping/config in IR.
The whole process IR & ID works fine and also creates Idoc in R/3, if I configure for one customer for EDI 850, but when I try to configure for second customer for same EDI 850 having same ANSIX12 version (V4010) as previous customer, I get stuck at the Sender Agreement part for this second customer because I use the same CC for File read for both the customers (Scenarios) and since there is a limitation with File Adapter "sender channel must not be assigned to more than one sender agreement ".
How can I create the Sender Agreement using the same CC for my other scenario?
I tried creating multiple CC for different scenario but when I place a test file for customer A, I see that its being picked up by both CC's.
    Pl Advise.
    Thanks!
    PSR

You need to configure splitter as module in sender file adapter (classifier->bic->splitter) as well as define a message splitter(with partner number and Seeburger mapping) in Seeburger workbench.
Thank you for the reply Aamir,
Do you have any document which can guide me through the process?
Does Seeburger Workbench play any role here? because I'm not using See FTP adapter to connect to my VAN. We get the data from the VAN using FTP process but not using See FTP. I'm using BIC to generate an XSD and SDA file, rest everything is in XI using File to idoc and IDOC to file process.
    Thx

  • Mapping handling in third party vs SAP PI for EDI 850

    Hi Experts,
Can I know Pros and Cons for hanling mapping translations in third party vs handling mapping translations in SAP PI for EDI 850 interface.
We are already paying money to third party. I just need pros and cons.. we will choose best approch based on your valuable points
    Appreciate your help.
    Regards,
    Krishna.

    Hi Mohan,
    Pros:
SAP PI is a middleware and all Middlewares work pretty much on the same principles.
I am assuming that EDI 850 would have some sort of structure, [ to be honest I have not worked on EDI but just read about it] and SAP PI would require you to convert this structure into XML -> the only language SAP PI understands.
Now, I am sure there are lots of third party adapters available in the market for EDI. PI will give you flexibility to convert this interface into any kind of requirement be it JDBC/FILE/IDOC or anything and vice versa is also true. PI give you this enormous ability to convert to and from any format as long as it is viable.
Last but not the least, it will provide a robust system with Alerting and Monitoring.
Cons: You may have to invest on a third party adapter to read the EDI
You can read the following links for more abt EDI and SAP PI:

  • Sender / Receiver ID mapping for EDI interfaces and Type of seeburger adapt

We need to set up a interface using Seeburger adapter for Purchase order IDOC to 850 EDI mapping.. After reading from SDN,
    1) We can use the standard mapping in BIC MD to do E2X and X2E mapping..
    2) We can use any of the AS2, EDI generic adapter, Seeburger FTP adapter or Seeburger SFTP adapter...
How do we decide which adapters should be chosen? I can see that it makes sense to use SFTP adapter or AS2 adapter for security...
Also how do we map Sender and Receiver IDs on the EDI message.. Should this be hardcoded as part of mapping or is there any facility in seeburger adapter to do this? I saw some references to Party Identifiers and not sure how it is used in setting up Sender/ Receiver ID
Also the graphical mapping to convert IDOC XML to EDI XML, Do we have standard mapping defined or do we need to create our own graphical mapping.

    Hi Kris,
I had worked in the somehow same scenario, It was IDOC to EDIFACT file.
I can give you few clues which might be helpful
In BIC MD you have to create your own mapping if the standard mapping is not available (First check all the standard mappings in BIC). For your reference you need X2E mapping, as your scenario is IDOC to 850 EDI.
"the graphical mapping to convert IDOC XML to EDI XML, Do we have standard mapping defined or do we need to create our own graphical mapping."
In graphical mapping i created my own mapping, Seeburger has given some sample mappings you can check those for your reference (SEEBURGER_GENERIC_EDI software component). Mostly you have to create your own. You need a document from your functional consultant so that you are able to map correct fields and constants.
"how do we map Sender and Receiver IDs on the EDI message.. Should this be hardcoded as part of mapping or is there any facility in seeburger adapter to do this? I saw some references to Party Identifiers and not sure how it is used in setting up Sender/ Receiver ID"
This has been generally hardcoded in message mapping (In my case i hardcoded). If any of ur IDOC field contains that data you can map that field. But better Idea is ask your functional expert.
"How do we decide which adapters should be chosen? I can see that it makes sense to use SFTP adapter or AS2 adapter for security... "
You can choose adapter according to your requirement. In my case i used File adapter as i have to create file in PI server only. My suggestion you can use SFTP for seeburger
Hope these points are helpfu for u

  • Edi mapping for 856

    Hi,
can any one please map the below listed fields for edi 856..
           Hierarchical Level
    1)Hierarchical ID Number:
    2)Hierarchical Parent ID Number:
    3)Hierarchical Level Code:
    4)Hierarchical Child Code:

I think TDLINE is just a free field to fill data as description and stuff like that, on the other hand the EDL24 contains all the position data and packing data
for example, if you have 2 positions in the delivery and they're packed in two packs, you would have 4 EDL24, the 2 positions and the 2 positions within the packs  (maybe some reference to how the  pack is done?)  : (00001), (00002), (90001), (90002)
I think that's easier than to check for EDL37 and the sub EDL44 (Pack and Item segments)
but since the TDLINE can be used in many ways as reference you should probably check the logic and any document for that development
By the way, i was currently requesting in one of my questions how to create a UDF for the Pack, items structure, could you provide more info about that? thanks!
