Get All Descendants

I am trying to write a macro in VB and I can't figure out how to work it in Essbase. There is a Drop Down box that an end user will select the Highest Generation and put that value in another spreadsheet. I would like my current macro, which only connects and retrieves data, to take the user defined item, and drop all of its descendants into another worksheet. For Example, if the user selected "Johnson and Johnson", it takes the "johnson and johnson", drops it into another new sheet, but then I want Essbase to Pull all descendants of Johnson and Johnson down on the new sheet. Does anyone know how to write that in VB Code?

In the Hyperion Web form page dimension, there're two members (A1.00, B1.00...may be more than these), what I need is when user select A1.00 or B1.00, I need to do some action for A1 or B1, so what I wrote in the rule isYou'll get the level 1 using @ANCESTORS({Entity}, -1) and you that will get you A1 or B1. However your calc is written for desc of A1?

In the var linksOnPage i'm getting all the links but some of them not only links for example the first item i see:

How to get all Universes in a folder?

Hi all,
I am trying to get all Universes (or more specifically the count of all Universes) in a folder. This means it has to count all univeses in that folder + all the universes in the sub folders + sub folders of the sub folders and such.
How can I do this?
I already have the code to get all the universes in the main folder:

You can walk down the Folder hierarchy, looking for objects with SI_PARENTID = <the target folder>.
There's descendants query, by adding the clause SI_ANCESTOR = <parent object ID> but typically should be avoid that since it'll not be as efficient as walking down the folder heirarchy yourself.

"get all new data request by request" after compressing source Cube

Hi
I need to transfer data from one Infocube to another and use the Delta request by request.
I have tried this when data on Source Infocube was not compressed and it worked.
Afterwards some requests were compressed and after that the delta request by request is transfering all the information to target Infocube in only one request.
Do you know if this a normal behavior?

The objective of compression is it will delete all the request in your F table and moves data to E table.after compression you don't have request by request by data.
This is the reason you are getting all the data in single request.
Get data request by request works, if you don't compress the data in your Cube.

'Get All New Data Request by Request' option not working Between DSO n Cube

Hi BI's..
Could anyone please tell me why the option ' Get one Request only' and 'Get All New Data Request by Request' is not working in DTP between Standard DSO and InfoCube.
Scenario:
I have done the data load by Yearwise say FY 2000 to FY 2009 in Infopackage and load it to Write-optimised DSO (10 requests) and again load Request by request to Standard DSO and activate each request. I have selected the option in DTP's to 'Get All New Data Request by Request' and its working fine between WDSO and SDSO. But not working between Cube and SDSO. While Execute DTP its taking as a single request from SDSO to Cube.( 10 request to single request).

How does your DTP setting looks like from below options ? It should be change log, assuming you are not deleting change log data.
Delta Init. Extraction from...
- Active Table (with archive)
- Active Table (without archive)
- Archive ( full extraction only)
- Change Log
Also if you want to enable deltas, please do not delete change log. That could create issue while further update from DSO.

Get all calendars from root

Hi guys,
I am developing an integration with EWS based on php. I am using a library I found https://github.com/jamesiarmes/php-ews
In my case users have various calendars hanging from the root, I get access to the default calendar by this:
$request->ParentFolderIds->DistinguishedFolderId->Id = EWSType_DistinguishedFolderIdNameType::CALENDAR;
$response = $ews->FindFolder($request);
I also get access to shared calendars by this:
$request->ParentFolderIds->DistinguishedFolderId->Id = EWSType_DistinguishedFolderIdNameType::PUBLIC_FOLDERS_ROOT;
$response = $ews->FindFolder($request);
But I am getting crazy to get all calendars hanging from the root. If I asked for all folders on the root I don't get those calendars. What service and params do I need to send to get all calendars from the root?

If you make a FindFolder Request set the Traversal to Deep and use a restriction on the FolderClass to IPF.Appointment that should return all the Calendar folders in a mailbox eg

How can i get all values from jtable with out selecting?

i have one input table and two output tables (name it as output1, output2). Selected rows from input table are displayed in output1 table. The data in output1 table is temporary(means the dat wont store in database just for display purpose).

Why the 2LIS_08TRTK and 2LIS_08TRTLP extractors can not get all data. I had used the RSA3 and get 10 registers, when a check at the VTTK table I had 20 registers, I didnt use filters at RSA3, could you help to know what happen o correct it.

Is it because

Shipment documents and their dependent objects (shipment stages as well as shipment items [deliveries in the shipment]) are only extracted into BW when the Shipment completion status has been set.
This is necessary because the numeric values that result from the delivery documents are only established at the time. If the data were already stored earlier in BW, the shipment data would not be updated if the delivery notes were changed in BW.

Recurring Events not gets all data in a given month in C#

Help me about this. I cannot get all the records of recurring events in Calendar. Even using <Month> ,<Year>. it doesn't give the all records. that happens when adding no end date of recurrence.
ex. i want to filter all records on the 10-01-2018 by its month but it appears like in different result range of date. cause i've tried creating an event in calendar with recurrence of Daily weekday=true and no end date. then i don't why it doesn't give the
correct result and just tried this date as sample.

If a sub query in select statement returns more than one row than how to get all those returned rows in the final
output of the query .It will be all right if all column's value repeat and that multiple output of inner query comes
in another column .
