Get any Spoken Text from the OS as text out of applescript
Hi I would like to get any words that are spoken from the os as text using applescript. Is it possible to grab it somehow?
In my case i want to get the moves as they are spoken by the computer in the Apple Chess application.
Any ideas? I am looking now at the speech scripts, but no luck yet.

Had you previously backed up your texts to the cloud? Yes, you can save things in the cloud, but you must first set it up to do so.

PowerPoint Notes Page text exposed on a Presenter Notes tab can be selected and copied from the Notes tab and then pasted into any text document. Is there any way to prevent the copying of text short of not providing notes text at all?

Excel is strictly treated as a data source and Siena only imports the data in your tables, not the formatting.
If there is some business logic behind the formatting, you could mimic the same logic in Siena. For example, the font is bold or red if a value is in a certain range, the font is in italics if the data is for a specific customer, etc.

I've had my iPod classic for some time now, and up to now have been connecting it to my laptop to sync any downloaded tunes from iTunes. Unfortunately, the laptop has died and I'm thinking of buying a iPad.....but how do I now get any songs downloaded from iTunes to my iPod?
If an iPod is set to update automatically it will be associated with a particular library. If you connect that iPod to a different computer or a different library on the same computer you get the the message you are referring to. "The iPod "iPod Name"is linked to another another iTunes music library. Do you want to change the link to this iTunes music library and replace all existing songs and playlists on this iPod with those from this library". To use an iPod on multiple computers you change the update method to "manually manage songs and playlists". You can also use multiple iPods on a single computer so you will be able to connect both of your iPods to your existing iTunes. Connect the new iPod and follow the on screen instructions, iTunes will open and update your iPod.

The iPod offers three ways to transfer music from your computer. You can select one of the following update modes from the iPod Preferences menu in iTunes (Edit=>Preferences=>'iPod' tab):
1) Automatically update all songs and playlists. This is the default mode, in which your entire music library, including playlists, is automatically synced to your iPod. If the music library on your computer exceeds the iPod storage capacity, you are prompted to select a different update method.
2) Automatically update selected playlists only. With this option, iTunes automatically copies the playlists you have selected to the iPod when you connect it to the computer.
3) Manually manage songs and playlists. You can also choose to transfer music to the iPod manually. This allows you to drag and drop individual songs and playlists from iTunes to the iPod. -
Pictures will load to the photostream just fine, i can see them on both my ipad and iphone, but they stoped uploading to my PC 10 days ago? I can not get any new pictures from my iphone to my PC, what can i do to fix this?

Yes, they should sync. Check the Watch app on the iPhone and look at Calendar - make sure it's set to Mirror my phone
If it still doesn't work, reset the Watch, restart the phone and re-pair the Watch - fixes a few glitches -
Getting a document file from the transcribed audio file
I would like to know how to get a "document" file from the transcribed files created by Soundbooth. The files created by SB have 'xml' or 'xmp' extensions and I do not know what to do with these files or how to "read" them.
I am on a macbook pro MAC OS 10.5.5. I have latest versions of Word, and Final Cut Pro.
Any help would be appreciated. This is my first foray into the world of Adobe products.

EricThe Transcript XML files conform to the XML Standards, and are a "marked up" text document containing several pieces of information. You can open the file in TextEdit (on Mac) or Notepad (on Windows) and you should be able to see what sorts of metadata is saved for each word in the transcription. Each transcribed word is stored in a data block, along with its timestamp, the duration of the spoken word, and some other metadata. This information is invaluable when importing the file into other applications or databases.
Neither Soundbooth nor Premiere Pro support exporting the transcript without the additional metadata or XML tags right now, but since it's a basic text file, it should be a very simple chore for a script to parse that file and write out each transcribed word to a new file.

Can't highlight and copy text from the Podcast Information window
With previous versions of iTunes I was able to convert Podcasts to AIFF files in my music library and then copy the track notes and text from the information window pane in Podcasts. With iTunes 8, I can get the information windows to pop-up but the text is not highlightable. Any ideas how I can cut and paste the info? thanks.
I think I finally figured out the copy paste podcast thing and I do not know why I did not think of this earlier.
Instead of clicking on the "i" symbol to get the information about the podcast to come up in the window that you cannot copy and paste from, hit command i or File> Get Info. The window that opens is just like the one that opens when you get info from a track in your regular music library. You can copy and paste from this one, even if it is a Podcast.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store notice. For example, if the App Store says you need to update "Twitter," the hacked app may be "Angry Birds" or something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you have to carry out a systematic search.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard (command-C).
In the Finder, press the key combination command-F to open a search window, or select

A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select Raw Query and click OK or press return.

The search window will show all the App Store products you've installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the items listed in the search window is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Log out and log back in. Test. -
I'm staying at my house in Peru, South America. From my PC laptop I can see my neighbor's wifi service network, but I also have my mini iPad and I can not figure out why I can't get any wifi connection from my area. Is there a setting I need to do?
Yes, I did try to go on my settings>wifi and was waiting for any wifi signals to pick up, but nothing shows up. But on my PC I get a whole list of networks to choose from. Regarding my neighbor, I already have her password that is why I was able to get it on my PC, the problem is that the mini Ipad is not picking any signal neither can it locate me when I go to maps.

Ok I can't seem to get my apps,music, or photos from my iCloud from when I first setup iCloud on a iPhone 4. How do I get my things back from the iCloud and get them to my new device?
If you no longer have the phone or have any Backup of it at all, you can re-download your apps and your content from the iTunes Store by logging into your Apple ID at settings> iTunes & App Store. Unfortunately you can no longer recover the data that was associated with those apps.
So far as your photos go, you can recover any photos that were in photo stream and taken less than 30 days ago by logging in with your Apple ID to settings> iCloud> photos. Unfortunately you will be unable to recover any photos from your camera roll.
