Get IView Properties and portal details Programatically

Hello Experts,
I have created one WDA application and deployed the same on portal. I need to access iView properties of the iView programatically.
Is there any class in WD which will gives me iView properties like, PCD location, application parameter etc. Also please give me the class name which gives portal details as well on which iView is running.
Thanks,
Prashant

Hi,
For portal integration we use IF_WD_PORTAL_INTEGRATION, but this interface doesnot provide those details.
When you run the WDA application from portal, there are some portal person can fill those applciation parameters like Iview name PCD path etc...so that you can read them in WDA application like any other portal parameter.
Can you search as IF_WD_PORTAL* and CL_WDR_PORTAL* it may  help..

  • To get line item and confirmation details from CRM_ORDER_READ

    Hi,
    Please can anybody let me know which the field from which i can get line item details and material for the service order given?
    I am using CRM_ORDER_READ to retrieve the values. In that i am exporting 4 fields - et_orderadm_h,  et_orderadm_i, et_product_i, et_doc_flow. So from where to get line items and material id from these fields?
    I will be very thankful if i get the answer of this question.

    Hi,
    The attribute NUMBER_INT of ET_ORDERADM_I contains the Item Number.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to get the table and column details out of desinger database design?

    what is the relation between ci_table_definition, ci_columns, ci_constains and ci_check_constaints?
    I want to get the report on table detail of tablenames, column names, comments, datatype+length and check constraints.
    thanks

    Hi,
    The link is pretty straightforward:
    ci_table_definitions.id = ci_columns.table_reference
    (also correct: ci_table_definitions.ivid = ci_columns.parent_ivid)
    ci_table_definitions.id = ci_check_constraints.table_reference
    Remember to set the Workarea Context - jr_context.set_workarea(' Name of Workarea') - before you start querying, especially when your Repository is versioned.
    good luck.

  • To get the approver and Verifier details

    Hi Experts,
    I am working on the Travel and expenses module. We are having 2 workflows. One is for the Travel Request and the other is for Travel Expenses.
    The employee raises a TR and it gets approved. After it is approved, the employee goes and submit the expenses. It goes to the verifier who after approving the same goes to the approver. The approver approves the TE.
    The person who approves the TR and who approves the TE can be different. In the existing application, we are not able to get in the DB tables as to who the approver of TR and TE is as the value is overwritten in the DB table.
    Now they want to develop a report program which shud tell us as to who is the approver of TR , the approver of TE and who is the Verifier. This report program is run at the end of the month.
    I have been told that we can get teh data from the work items and display the same in the report. There will be work item ID's created in SWI1 and we can use them to get the details for the same.
    Could you please guide me as to what the approach and the DB tables would be to get the data of the same. In essence, i would like to know as to the workflow tables through which I can get the data.
    First of all, i would like to know if this approach would be feasible......as along with these fields there are many other fields that are to be displayed in the report.....
    Is it possible to use the work item details and the SAP workflow tables to get the data? Will it be possible to get the data from the work item .....i would like to know as to how we can query on the work item data to get the relevant approvers and verifiers.....pls note that the report wud be run at the month end to get all the data pertaining to the Travel and Expenses.
    Thanks in advance for all the help.

    Hi
      As your business is more bothered about the report generation at the end of every month  about who is approver's of TR and TE then as soon as the work item is executed why you do not try to update a custom table with all the travel related details and the approver's. you can achieve this by making use of Program exits..I think this is more reliable way to handle your requirement and there will not be any  kind of ambiguity in getting the information regarding the approver's
    I seriously suggest you to make use of the Program exits technique in the workflow. So that you can access all the travel specific information and store it in a Z table.

  • How to get Storage Location and Vendor details in MD03 automatically

    Hi folks,
        We want to create automatic PR and PO from Planned Order.
    But when PR gets created in MD03, the values for Purchase organization, Storage Location and fixed vendor are blank, even after maintaining source list with fixed vendor .
    How to populate these values automatically ?
    I am also attaching screenshot of MD03 screen

    Hello
    If you are creating the orders using MRP, you should make sure that the field MRP is set to 1 on the source list. The field 'fixed vendor' is not relevant to MRP. When the vendor is selected from the source list, the purchasing organization should be also copied to the purchase requisition.
    The storage location will be copied from the respective field on the material master tab MRP2.
    Also take a look on the following document:

  • API for getting iView name, type, tCode

    Hi
    I am trying to figure out if there is a way in my program to get iView properties: the iView type (e.g. transaction, Web Dynpro, etc), then if it's a transaction iView to get the tCode for that iView.
    I have seen document that tells me I can get the list of iViews in a given PCD location, and I think you can get the properties I mentioned above as such:
    // id is the full path of the iView
    public void getProperties(IPortalComponentRequest request , String id) throws Exception{
    Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, IPcdContext.PCD_INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY);
    env.put(Context.SECURITY_PRINCIPAL, request.getUser());
    env.put(Constants.REQUESTED_ASPECT, PcmConstants.ASPECT_SEMANTICS);
    InitialContext iCtx = null;
    try {
    iCtx = new InitialContext(env);
    IiView result = (IiView) iCtx.lookup(id);
    result.getAttribute("????");
    result.getAttribute("????");
    } catch (Exception e) {
    throw new Exception (e);
    Am I in the right direction?
    I don't know what are the names of those attributes I need? - I cannot find them in any Java docs or forum?
    I also looked at com.sap.portal.pcm.attributes.IAttriView but that does not appear to have the suitable attributes that I am looking for?
    Please help.
    Kind regards,

  • Cannot find Display State Iview Properties

    Dear all,
    While trying to create home page, I look IView properties and find a great setting Display State.
    The problem is I cannot find this parameter in my URL IView properties.
    I use EP 6 SP13.
    Thanks for help.

    Hi Beata,
    first let us clarify some wording:
    A <i>PAR</i> is a <i>Portal ARchive</i>. It is a zip in a certain format. It contains a <i>portal application</i>.
    A <i>portal application</i> consists of <i>components</i> and/or <i>services</i>.
    An <i>iView</i> is somehow an "instance" of a <i>component</i>. It is created within the portal. There are <i>no iViews in a PAR</i> (like: "There are no objects in a JAR (but classes).").
    With this in mind, the question is if there really exist an iView with the name you are looking for.
    What you see under Portal Runtime Tools is the application with it's components. Anyhow, the default properties of an iView or the properties of a component if called without packaged within an iView are the ones defined within portalapp.xml of the corresponding application.
    But if you change values in there, the changes are somewhat "global", so you should be sure if the component in question is called via an iView or just "as the component".
    The location of the portalapp.xml is under \usr\sap\<...>\JC<...>\j2ee\cluster\server<...>\apps\sap.com\irj\servlet_jsp\irj\root\WEB-INF\portal\portalapps\<appName>\portalapp.xml
    Hope it helps

  • Where does portal details gets stored in the backend

    Hi Gurus,
    Where does portal contents gets stored in the portal related backend ?
    Example:  We have Content Administration under which we create iviews, pages, worksets and roles. Where does this gets stored ? do they get stored in some table as shown below ?
    Table:
    Parameters:

    Values:

    How can we fetch the details ?
    Regards,
    Rashmi

    Hi Rashmi
    To get the data from the portal database you need to use a datasource lookup.
    Context ctx = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource)ctx.lookup("jdbc/SAP/BC_JMS");

  • PDK iviews refresh the Portal's detailed navigation

    Hi All,
    When a postback occurs in my PDK iviews, both the iview and the detailed navigation are refreshed.
    Is it supposed to be like that?
    Is there a way to prevent it?
    (It doesn't happen with Web Dynpro iviews for example)
    Thanks,
    Omri

    Hi Omri,
    One of the properties of an iView is Isolation Method.
    If this property is set to URL the iView will be rendered into it's own iFrame and not to the page one.
    But this will disable the server side eventing between portal components, so take that into consideration.
    Regards,
    Tsachi

  • Passing information from external asp file and getting it in the portal

    Hi,
    I think that the answer for my question is simple but I'm not sure how it is done.
    I would like to pass information from asp page(microsoft server pages) to the portal and extract the information in the portal
    I know how to how to pass the the information as POST or GET method
    but how do I extract the infomation within an iView ?
    and what is the portal URL I need to call from the asp page ? a page URL or an iView URL ?
    Thanks
    Y.R

    Hi,
    In order to use an ASP application in the portal u have to first create a system. In the System Definition Properties, give the url of your ASP page in the Name of server field and the name of the ASP page in the URI field.
    For more clear understanding, please go through the following document

  • Customizing Benefits and Payments iview in ESS Portal

    Hi Guys ;
    I am working on ESS portal.
    I want to add new links and textviews in the Benefits and Payments iview. After adding them I want to rearrange their positions with respect to existing fields on the iview.
    I tried by opening the preview of iview from
    Content Administration -> portal Content -> ESS->iviews ->Benefits and Payments iview.
    Then I selected an existing link on the preview of iview and did ctrl + right click but when I select any uielement and click on rearrange I don't get any filed inthe table to rearrange its empty.
    Is there any particular node in UI element tree to be selected to rearrange the fieldst?
    Please reply I am in a fix.

    1) How can employee know when their benefits should start (cant enter start date via ESS)
    - It appears that they need to enter a start date but cannot
    Typically, EEs are not allowed to enter a start date for benefits coverage. The start date usually depends on the type of enrollment.
    If it is a new hire enrollment - the start date for benefits coverage will be the employee start date.
    If it is open enrollment - the start date for benefits coverage will be the beginning of the following year (open enrollment is done usually towards the end of the current year - for benefits coverages of the following year)
    If it is a generic enrollment (for example - birth of a new child) - the start date will be the beginning date of the corresponding adjustment reason (IT0378 record start date).
    2) For insurance enrollment, why does BASIC COVERAGE show ZERO amount. Can we remove if we can?
    This is a generic screen used for all the plans and hence it shows ZERO amount. You may choose to customize the code if you want to.
    3) We need to relabel some of these plans we set up for HSA - how can we do that?
    This can be done by changing the corresponding texts in the benefits configuration. The webdynpro application reads it from there.

  • Federated Portal Network - Unexpected Error - Unable to get IView

    Hallo.
    I have this problem: I have two portal federated.
    When I create an iView BI7.0 from the consumer portal , that points to the producer portal , when I execute it I obtain the error :
    500 Internal Server Error
      BEx Web Application
    Failed to process request; contact your system administrator
    Error Summary
    Exception occured while processing the current request; this exception cannot be handled by the application or framework
    If the information on this page does not help you locate and correct the cause of the problem, contact your system administrator
    To facilitate analysis of the problem, keep a copy of this error page Hint: Most Web browsers allow you to select all content, and copy and paste it into an empty document (such as in an email or simple text file)
    Root Cause
    The initial exception that caused the request to fail was:
    Unexpected error - Unable to get IView: fpn:consumer_ABC/pcd:portal_content/com.abc.AbcFolder/zcitbi70/worksetBI70/Prova/sottoprova/BI7ReportProgetti:lQ9fUQ0dfID4PPyUU4cpZg%3D%3D:1:
    Note that I am able to see the iview, role etc from consumer to producer, so the Federated Portal Network seems to work.
    What could I do ?
    Thanks for your help
