Get Seed and Unlock

Hi,
I'm using an ECU board fo test with CAN interface.Since ECU has
security lock in it i'm trying to unlock the protection(using GET Seed
and Unlock Protection commands)As Get seed provides the Seed data,for
computing the Key i'm using a DLL SeedKey1.dll(supplied by our
customers) and then passing the key value to the Unlock Vi.But during
course of my execution,program stops at Seedkey1.dll and throws an
exception mentioning that exception occured at specified node(screen shot of which i have attached)
The function prototype for Seedkey dll specified is
unsigned long SEEDKEYAPI ASAP1A_CCP_ComputeKeyFromSeed(
unsigned char *seed,
unsigned short sizeSeed,
unsigned char *key,
unsigned short maxSizeKey,
unsigned short *sizeKey);
The reason i need to unlock is for performing my CCP read and Tuning
some EEPROM values of ECU.The sequence in which i'm using Get Seed is 1.CCP Open(with timeout)->.CCP Connect->CCP Get Seed
The attachments for reference which i have provided with this under a folder named "Files" are
1.subvi which i'm using for Unlock after CCP Connect
2.screenshot of error occured when i run my application and try to perform CCP Read.
3.Seedkey dll which i'm using
one more additional info which i want to add is that in the Get Seed.vi
,i have given Resource input as 1.Is that a valid one if i want to
perform a CCP Read.
A reply for this will be really of helpful to me.

Hi Murali,
I've checked your VI and found out the reason for the exception in the
SeedKey1.dll. In your VI you did not provide a data array to take the
key calculated in the dll. Try the attached VI to calculate the key.
That should work.

Hi Murali,
I have no experience with the DLL you are using, but from the LabVIEW end, I can tell you that exceptions generated in external DLLs are normally due to memory management. That is, it's likely that the DLL you are calling is throwing an exception because of a memory access violation (null pointer read?), it is out of memory, etc. You could look at the code with this in mind.
You may also find this tutorial on Accessing DLLs or Shared Libraries from LabVIEW helpful.

Hi, I'm not really very good with computers and am having the same problems when trying to install the Ikea 3D kitchen planner, please could you take me through the steps?
1. Download (save) the disk image file 2020PluginInstaller.dmg
I double click on the link which says "Install 3D Planner"
I agree to the t&cs
A file downloads to my download folder called 2020PluginInstaller_IKEA.dmg
2. Mount the disk image (open/run the downloaded file) if not mounted automatically
I double click on the downloaded file
3. Find the 2020PluginInstaller window (might be behind the window on top)
A small window opens up with a lego brick called 2020PluginInstaller_IKEA.dmg and a folder called Internet plug ins. I highlight the lego brick and do File, Get info and unlock it
4. Drag the lego piece to the folder (if you do not have admin privileges you will be prompted to authenticate)
I do this and put in a password to authenticate
5. Restart the browser (it is not enough to close the browser window, you need to restart the browser
application)
I've tried restarting Safari, I've tried re-starting the computer
6. Access the same link and you will now see the Start button and be able to start planning your room!"
When I go back to the IKEA kitchen planner I don't see a start button, I just see the exact same screen as before prompting me to install the 3D planner

I have an IMac. I put a folder on the desk top and now want to delete it. The folder seems to be locked. I went to get info and tried to unlock it but still can't delete it. The folder has nothing in it. Any help would be great. Thanks

There is nothing in the folder. How do I unlock this folder and delete it? When I try to delete it, I'm asked for my password which I put in and is accepted, but will not delete the folder. Any help would be great.

How can I get my phone unlocked if I am after emigrating and haven't topped up my phone in a year?

Hi I moved to New Zealand and brought my Meteor Nokia Lumia phone over with me. I couldn't get it to work here and bought a cheap phone to get me by. I loved my Nokia Lumia though and am trying to get it unlocked. My sister recently came over on holidays and wasn't able to use hers either but rang home and got it unlocked. I have tried to get it unlocked it but is it very expensive and you might as well get a new phone. I have rang home but Meteor told me they can't as I haven't topped up the phone in over a year. Does anybody have any advice without it costing a bomb. All of our savings are gone emigrating and just hope someone would know how we can do this or Meteor might have pity on us? Thank you Lorraine

Meteor are a commercial company and don't do pity.I had a similar issue in New Zealand working there for 6 months where despite my phone being an Irish one and unlocked, It was still regionally locked by Huawei (European) and couldn't be unlocked to Vodafone NZ. NZ is full of Asians plus Asian phone stores, you might try them to see if they can unlock it... The cheapest option for me was to buy a local PAYG phone.

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

Well first you need to sync your iPhone 4 with your Mac/PC so that it will transfer all your music, apps, podcasts, etc. Then sync your iPod Touch and the media you selected during the sync should be there on your iPhone. If you have difficulty in transferring media from iPhone to your computer, try softwares like TransCopy. They will help in transferring data from your iphone to your computer. Dont forget to check that all the transferred data is in the iTunes media folder so that the iTunes can locate the files. Link to Transcopy software :

You need to place the device in recovery mode ...
f you can't remember the Passcode, you need to restore the device from the computer it was last synced with.
Instructions for putting the device in recovery mode > iOS: Unable to update or restore
If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present

You need to check with your ISP whether or not the send mail server (SMTP) requires a password. Some do, but many do not. When you know the correct password to send mail, then you need to tell Mail as follows:
Mail menu > Preferences > Accounts > Select the account
Click on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) combo box, and select Edit SMTP Server List...
In the Account Information tab put the server name
In the Advanced Tab, set up the authentication information from your ISP.

I saw a public service ad on TV and by the time I got to the computer forgot the specific web address. Adobe (I think) was advertising a community effort "Get Inspired" and "plant a seed" to bring arts technology to youth in the community. Does anyone recognize this? Know the web address?

You didn't buy an 'unlocked' iPhone 3GS - you bought a 'hacked' one.
Updating to iOS 5 removed the hack and the unofficial unlock.
All you can do is try to find out which network the phone is locked to and ask them if they can unlock it properly.
Otherwise, sell it or throw it away and buy an officially unlocked phone from an official source.
