Get the Dialog associated with an event

So i have a Dialog with some textfields which hold the login information to a database. I press a button called "connect" which fires an event, which then connects to the database.
I want to read the textfields within the Dialog to assemble the Connection String but i have no idea on how to get the info through the event.
So far i have extended the JDialog with some methods like getUsername() which returns fieldUsername.getText();
But how can i get the MyDialog object?
getSource() returns only the button.
getSource().getRootPane returns only the RootPane.
Or is there even a better way to exchange this information?

Normally you would define all the text fields as class variables within the dialog. Then when you click the button you access each field to make sure data has been entered. If it has you connnect to the database. If not, then you display error messages.
So basically you create a "ConnectDialog" with has all the components and code contained in one place.

The CheckPlaces extension can restore favicons. It is also great for checking bookmarks to ensure that they are still valid.

Get the SequenceFile associated with UIMsg_StartFileExecution

I am catching the UIMessage UIMsg_StartFileExecution and wish to update my UI to indicate which SequenceFile is being executed. I cannot figure out how to determine which SequenceFile is associated with this message. Both the UIMessage.Thread and .Execute are null and StringData is empty.
The documentation for this message states "TestStand sends this message when it begins using a sequence file. TestStand specifies the file in the UIMessage." I don't see where TestStand specifies the file. Is this a bug in TestStand, the documentation or on my end?
I am capturing messages by registering the callback with RegisterUIMessageCallback() through C#. I've also tried getting the message through GetUIMessage() and both produce the same result.
Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks.

I think it's in the ActiveXData property (do "as SequenceFile" on the object it returns). Also, you might consider using the ApplicationMgr control and handling the UIMessageEvent event as a .NET event. That is the recommended approach.

1. I have a combo box
2. It has text values that you can click
3. The text values have export values associated with it
4. When I click a text value from the list, I want to get the numeric value associated with it
Example combo box:
"Orange" has the export value of "1234"
When I click "orange" I want to get the export value "1234" and alert it to the screen
I'm using javascript, here's what I have so far:

I have a function in the document javascript:

This is alerting the text value not the export value.
What else should I do to get the export value?

I've developed the problem that when I click on something I get a dialog box with a mess of stuff such as: Back,re;oad page ,Open in dashboard ,print page, etc. It's quite annoying!

Something is seriously wrong then. Did you move it? There are several Library folders. One of them should be inside your HOME folder.

When I try to add an RSS or Atom feed, I get a dialog box with Open or Save instead of adding the feed to NewsFox like it used to do.

With Firefox 4.x, when I added a feed, it would open NewsFox in a new tab, and bring up a dialog box with info about that feed. I would click on "test this feed" and it would put all available items into NewsFox. Now, I get this dialog box with Open or Save. If I click on Open (declaring Firefox as the preferred app), then it opens the feed itself, it doesn't add it to NewsFox. I've tried going into Options and about:config but don't see anything to change that would fix this problem. I tried Search in Firefox Help but no relevant threads came up.

If you can't get the account's password reset via http://appleid.aple.com then try contacting Support in your country, they should (after they've confirmed your id and that it's your account) be able to reset it for you.

After it's been reset change the primary email address on the account to be an address that you have access to : Change your Apple ID.

I have a weird issue:
Just installed a Lync Standard 2013.
Everything works except I keep getting this error in Log: every 30 minute or so.
First an Error: Event 47067
A server did not respond to HTTP request
Server lyncserver.domain.local did not respond to HTTP request PublishCertRequest targeted at
https://lyncserver.domain.local:444/LiveServer/UserPinService.
Cause: Server might be down or the network path between servers might not be properly configured.
Resolution:
Please ensure that the server can be connected on the target port using telnet and then re-try.
Then I get a Warning: Event 47068
GetAndPublish web service failed.
Certificate could not be published in the database associated with User Services Cluster [lyncserver.domain.local ]. Request Details - Entity: [[email protected]], Device Id: [6BB30A3E-2923-553A-8E5F-0B2FB2CEA330], Authenticated User: [sip:[email protected]].

Please check you can telnet port 443 and port 444 on Lync Front End Serve from client.
Try to regenerate a new certificate for Lync Front End Server.
Check all the services on Lync Front End Server are started.
Check the option “Enable all purposes for this certificate” is checked for the trusted root CA certificate.

Retain the metadata associated with a doc after conversion to pdf

I am using word automation service to convert word document to a pdf in a sharepoint 2010 document library. however after the conversion of the document from word to pdf the associated metadata is lost. (i.e the converted document which is added to the library doesn't retain
the old metadata like duedate,doc id etc...)
Can someone help me how to retain the metadata associated with list after conversion of document to PDF.
I am using one ItemAdded event reciever in which when I am trying to looping out the library in which all word documents are there, I am not getting the last updated document that got converted into pdf.
Code which I am using is below: Here destContenttype is content type of the the document and destFilename is file name of the document.

I have worked on copying SharePoint meta data (and painfully fine tuning it to deal with all exceptions, 3rd party apps and content types) for the last 8 years. Not full time though :-)

How can I change the age associated with my daughter's account?

OK I am sure that this is a common issue. Back when my daughter was about 9 or 10 years old, we bought her an iPod Touch. She was too young to have an AppleID of her own, so I set one up for her using an extra gmail accoun that I had, and entered my birthdate/age. A few years later, she received an iPad, and most recently, an iPhone. All of these devices are tied to the same AppleID.
Well, now she will be 13 years old soon, and I would like to switch things to represent reality. She has her own email account, and I believe you can go to My Apple Id to change the Apple ID name and e-mail address. My question is, can we change the age associated with the account?
I hear you saying, "Just create a new AppleID for her." That may end up being the only solution, but I am trying to avoid having two AppleIDs for her to keep up with. She has already purchased a fair amount of content (music and apps) under the existing AppleID, and I am pretty sure from looking at the posts on this Community that you can not transfer content away from the AppleID under which it was downloaded/purchased. And so, if I create a new AppleID, she will have to re-purchase the content to get it all in one place. As she eventually grows up and becomes independent, I would like for he to not have to "start over" with her AppleID.
Any advice or direction to information would be appreciated.

I have a similar situation however a bit more complicated! It seems that when I was setting the birthdate I forgot to change the year so now my seven years old daughter shows up as a two months old! There is no way to change the birthdate because it shows up in light grey when I login into my daughters account and doesn't allow a change! The birthdate can be changed only when the child turns 13 however according to this she will have to be 20 before she can change it to show property 13 and here is where this is getting completely out of hand! Now to make things more complicated I have twin daughters and they came up with their unique but similar Apple ID, so changing one will require to change both Apple IDs! After being on the phone with Apple's customer support for about one hour I talked to a supervisor and the supervisor of the supervisor and their only solution is to create a new Apple ID! Of course in my case I will have to create two new Apple IDs, and I'm considering doing it. However when I started reading it becomes more complicated because I already made their Apple IDs part of my family group. It seems like you're not able to just let go of family member that is less than 13 years of age. You can only transfer it to another family, so Apple is making sure there are no kids left behind It seems like the only option will be to "abandon" the family and then create a new family with the new Apple IDs. If all this sounds bizarre to you it sounds bizarre to me too! If I can just put the kids in the car and drive them to the nearest one hour away Apple Store and have them show their credentials confirming their birthdate I would rather do that than having to spend more and more time with this issue, but that was not an option pointed out by customer support. So folks keep in mind that if you make a mistake your children's age is set in stone until he or she turns 20 if they happen to be seven at the time you made the mistake and no one can change this, even Apple! Now on the positive side I'm glad I didn't do the mistake when she was 13 or she will have to wait until she's 26 Most likely I'll be calling customer support tomorrow again and I will let you know how it went!

If you want to see all of that in a single mailbox, you can create a Smart Mailbox from the "file" menu in the top left corner of your screen. It's a bit of trial and error before you get the rules correct, perhaps, but that will work.
