Get Visitor IP Address - Using ADDT

Hi All,
Does anyone know how to use the ADDT function to get a visitors IP address when submitting a form on your site?
For example each time someone logs in to a member / restricted area using login details "Providing the history tab is used" it stores the IP address of the member / visitor to the history table.
I need to simple get the users IP address when they submit a form when they are not a member or logged in the to members area.

Hi Joe,
fortunately it´s not rocket science -- $_SERVER["REMOTE_ADDR"] is how PHP will retrieve the visitor´s IP address, and once you assign this variable to e.g. a custom Session Variable, it´s easy to store the corresponding value in a database table.

request .getRemoteAddress(), but problem is i am getting its private IP i want to get its public Ip how i can get it

Are you running dual network interfaces in each machine?
If so, and the packet you're attempting to analyze for public IP address is being received over the local network, I don't think there's a way to accomplish this outside building a lookup table or some such manually.
Or is there some sort of "fun" routing system in place here?
...or have I completely misunderstood the question? :)

Getting wierd error when trying to getting phone IP address using AXL

I am current trying to use the AXL serviceability API to get phone IP
address information. I looked the developers guide and used the Java example to create a
SSL Socket connection to send the SOAP message to. The message I send is as follows:

well, getting closer. Of course you were correct. After changing it, I now get an http 500 error after a lenghty timeout.

Can I get the IP address used by other devices for Sync?

One of my devices was stolen. I wanted to know if I could find it by using information synced. I'm hoping there is some way to determine the IP address, and then to contact the owner of that IP block to see if they can help me further. Is this at all possible, and if so, what steps must I take? Thank you.

Get Hardware (Mac) Address through Applescript

Hi All,
How can I get Hardware (Mac) Address using applescript. Please tell me how can I do it. I have searched in the dictionary but I found nothing there.
Why I need it, I have developed some tool for InDesign & Quark User. I want to add the mentioned module in my application, so that as user will run the tool it will first validate the Hardware address, and if it match then application will run otherwise it will show a piracy message.

Then you don't have an active interface. You can't use ipconfig to query an interface that isn't up.
You need to decide how you want to deal with this - you won't know in advance what interfaces the user may have active. For this reason, relying on the MAC address is inherently problematic. You might be better off using the system's serial number (which is less likely to change anyway):

Help. My old @us.army.mil email address was terminated by the army. I used that address to register my first apple id account on my iPad. I can't remember my original Apple ID number and if I ask to reset my password, Apple sends the reset link to my old non-working email address. I have a new gmail address and a new Apple ID number associated with that address. How do I get my iPad to use my new gmail address and new apple ID number? Remember, I can't log out of my old account because I can't remember the password. Amd Apple will only reset the password by sending a link to my old, non functioning army email account. ( I hate army webmail for canceling all retired military email accounts). John Marc

We are talking about the Mail app, right? In the Mail menubar, click on Window and then Previous Recipients:
That eliminates the previous recipients. If you are talking about the suggestions because there are 10 people with the name 'Steve' in your Contacts, then I do not know how to eliminate those unless you change the name slightly or wait until you type the last name or some other differentiator.

For the iPad, iMac you need to create verifyible e-mail addresses created with one of the providers such as Yahoo, Gmail,etc. For the iphone you should use it's phone number, but an e-mail could be used for it too. If you want to associate these e-mail addresses with a single ID, I'm including a link to give you info about how you can do that. Read it carefully, as it can be a bit confusing.

It seems like you may need to turn off your iTunes in the Cloud features and download or sync the songs manually to your phone. Here is a link that can help you adjust those settings:

Contact Apple, either through the link in that article or by phoning them. Alternatively, just create a new Apple ID; previous iTunes Store purchases won't be transferred to it.

RVS4000 v2 when VLAN used Vista computers can't get a DHCP address.

Just bought a RVS4000 v2. Firmware v2.0.0.0.3. All worked fine when using factory default settings. But I bought this because I wanted to implement VLANs. I defined VLAN2 for the VOIP phones connected through a switch to Port 1. I also defined VLAN3 for my accounts computers, whose switch connects to port 3. All VLANs are defined by Port, untagged.
The phones, using Linux, pick up an IP address fine. So do the two remaining W2K systems. XP systems do but rather slowly. Vista though just hangs for a while, then uses an autoconfiguration address and won't connect unless I spoecify the IP settings. However if I connect the same Vista system to a port which uses the default LAN, it gets an IP address fine. I haven't tested Win7 yet.
Why? Is this a bug in the firmware, or just a bug in Vista?

May be a bug. A Wireshark trace might be illuminating.

Use JNI or Runtime.exec(). For the latter you would need to find an OS command line tool and then parse the output.

When trying to access our private camera system, that uses specific ports, I got this message: "This address is restricted - This address uses a network port which is normally used for purposes other than Web browsing. Firefox has canceled the request for your protection."
Cannot find a setting in Firefox to correct this problem. Please help.
