Get xMII User name from within a BLT

Hello All,
Does anybody know a way to get the current xMII user name inside a BLT?
Regards,
Christian

Simply create a Transaction property called "IllumLoginName"
Also in your Data Servers screen pleaes make sure the checkbox for AutoBind in the XacuteConnector server is checked.
This will force the user name to be pound to that Trasaction Property.
Note: this can be applied to any property you desire. Simply define a Transaction property with the same name as any property you need. Then when you map it to any other action, the value will get assigned.

  • How to get the Users Name from the SSL certificate?

    Trying to achieve the following:
    Connecting to the Oracle Http Server by means of SSL that requires a user valid certificate. Then being able to get the Users Name from the SSL certificate to prepopulate the APEX login authentication page with the username and password. Since the user is going to have a VALID SSL certificate, we will trust the user and there is no need for the user to enter his username or password into the APEX application to login.
    Does SSO do this or something else?

    Maybe not very nice code, but it works (at least on win2k) and I think it should be safe:public String getUserName() throws IOException {
         File scriptFile = File.createTempFile("script", ".js");
         FileWriter fw = new FileWriter(scriptFile);
         fw.write ("WScript.Echo(WScript.CreateObject('WScript.Network').UserName)");
         fw.flush();
         fw.close();
         BufferedReader br = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(Runtime.getRuntime().exec("CSCRIPT.EXE \"" + scriptFile + "\" //Nologo").getInputStream()));
         String uName = br.readLine();
         br.close();
         scriptFile.delete();
         if (scriptFile.exists()) scriptFile.deleteOnExit();
         return uName;
    }

  • How to get the user name from Single Sign On Process?

    Post Author: sasikumar
    CA Forum: Authentication
    I am loging in Single Sign On Page. Then it goes to one JSP which lists out some links including InfoView link. While clicking InfoView link, I need to pass user name with the url for authentication. How and where can I get the user name?

    Care to be more specific what you mean with single sign-on? There are numerous ways this can be done.
    Just how you get the authenticated o/s user from within an Oracle session, depends on just how the actual authentication to Oracle was done in order to create that Oracle session.
    E.g. dealing in Oracle with a LDAP server is very different than dealing with a NT Primary/Secondary Domain Controller using o/s authentication, than dealing with a Java-based application server that does it own thing, etc.

  • Getting the class name from within the compiled class file

    hey!
    I was wondering (i know its possible) how to read a .class and get the name of the class. ok that made not much sense^^ so, You have a file: c:\f.class but it wont run because the file name has to be the same as the classes name, right? so how can you read the class file i guess in binary mode to receive the correct class name.
    I saw inside my f.class i have "realname.java" so i know now that the name of the class file should be realname.class, i tried ways to extract it from the class file but never had any success.
    i think i need to study english^^
    ps: i need this because i have some class files sent to me and the file names have been changed so they wont work, they only work when i open the class file in notepad and find out what its real name should be and then rename the file.

  • How to get the system property - user.name from a client system

    Hi All,
    I have an application which would enable active users from the domain of the company. I want to get the name of the client from the system. I tried to run it on the local machine from Jdeveloper, it returned me the correct user name. But when the application is deployed on the Oracle Application server, and i hit the URL of the application, it returns the server URL.
    I understand that the JSP works on the server side here but help me out to get a solution. I want to read the user name from the client side.
    Thanks in advance!
    Akhil

    Akhil,
    I hope this will never work. Think about your requirement for a second....
    This would mean an application is able to see my user credentials without my knowledge. It's bad enough the know my IP if I'm not using TOR.
    To get your requirement to work you have to redefine it a bit. The user have to log in to your application. The application holds the name together with an ID of the session to know the user in further requests.
    Thats a basic security theme, described in the dos [Adding Security to a Fusion Web Application|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/web.1111/b31974/adding_security.htm] .

  • Extract Portal User Name From HTTP POST Request (WSRP SOAP)

    How can we extract the user name from the HTTP POST Request (*WSRP SOAP*) from the Portal to the Portlet Provider (Producer)?
    We are load balancing between the Portal (10.1.14.2) and the providers (OC4J 10.1.3.3) and would like to extract the user name within the load balancer so we can create session affinity based on it.
    BTW, we already tried using TCP Flow but were unable to see the user name.

    From the documentation, it seems that you need to use
    HttpURLConnection.setRequestMethod("POST"); // "GET" is the defaultalthough I have seen examples on the web without it.
    Try!
    Edit: Also the single quotes around userid and password may be a problem.
    Use the previous poster suggestion, but do not include the single quotes.

  • How can I get the host name from Email address?

    hi
    When I using socket to develope an email-sending servlet,I don't know how to get the host name from emial address.can you help me,thanks

    Stripping off the user name will give you the domain of from field in the message. This is not the same as the host. Take a look at:
    http://www.stopspam.org/email/headers/headers.html
    Theres a pretty good discussion about email headers and how to use the information. You probably want to check the information here against the RFC.

  • How get all table name from database

    hi master
    sir
    how get all table name from database

    The big question is 'why'.
    Selecting from view 'dba_tables' will indeed give the list of all tables in the database, but that includes the dictionary tables and the internal tables, and many others that are probably not of interet to a person who needs to ask this question. Besides, the dba_tables view requires access to a DBA account.
    There are several other views: "user_tables" will list all the tables in this user's schema; and "all_tables" will list all the tables this user can access in some way.
    The above do not, of course, include any information about synonyms, sequences, views, indexes and so on.
    The correct answer and the meaningful answer may be two different things.

  • Unable to get Windows User Name using Oracle Forms 6i, Jinitiator 1.3.1.17

    Hi,
    Requirement: Get Windows User Name using Oracle Web Forms 6i.
    Tools Using: Windows NT, Oracle web forms 6i, Oracle 10g DB.
    Description: I am using GetClientInfo JBean from otn.oracle.com, which gets windows user name, IP address and machine name. The demo I got from oracle web site uses Jinitiator version 1.1.7.18. While we are using the latest version Jinitiator 1.3.1.17. Due to this reason, I am unable to use Javakey which comes with older version but doesn't come with newer version, that's why I can't create the new JavaBean Java identity (PJC).
    Please advise what to do. All environment variables are set everything is done, this is the only thing bothering me.
    I went through the article 202768.1 from metalink, but on step 5, it gives an error keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Input not an X.509 Certificate.
    Also, please let me know if there is any other workaround for this requirement.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Mo

    Hi,
    Thanks for your kind reply. Actually there was a problem in creating a certificate, now it is okay with the same method. Certificate got imported on client and everything is ready.
    Now, the problem is when I try to set Bean Area Implementation Class property with oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo, it gives an error FRM-13008 Cannot find JavaBean with name 'oracle.forms.demos.GetClientInfo'.
    I went through the articles 1072329.6, 196824.1, and set ClassPath and Path variables with proper values. Also, I have copied jar file and signature file in forms60/java folder. I don't see any problems. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. My limitation is that I have to do all this in forms6i.
    I searched forums on metalink and found out that someone installed Patch 15, and everything went okay for him. Do you think I should install Patch 15? if YES, how will I do it, I mean should I first uninstall my forms and then install patch15 or install the patch on my forms?
    Thanks so much for your help.
    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Mo

  • How to retrieve user name from a given Subject?

    I am in a situation where I need to retrieve user name from the Subject that is populated when user logs in. I have the active Subject and I do following to get the principals in the subject and iterate through them:
    Set principals = subject.getPrincipals();
    Iterator ite = principals.iterator();
    while (ite.hasNext()) {
    Principal prin = (Principal)ite.next();
    String name = prin.getName();
    But this contains all the principals, including user name, roles, password, etc. How do I programmatically determine which one is user name?

    Don't you have different principal types? I am making a jaas module and I have different principals for roles, groups etc. I think of principals as attributes, the type in the attribute name and the principal name is the attribute value.
    To get all the principals of the type SomePrincipal, you can use:
    Set principals = subject.getPrincipals(SomePrincipal.class)
    You can also take som principal an test wether it is an instance of som type:
    if (Principal p instanceof SomePrincipal){..}
    An other solution which might be better if you have many different attributes is to store both attribute name and value in the name of the principal.
    If "mark" is a username the principal name will be "username:mark" el.
    Then it will be easy to find the username.

  • Windows domain how to get full user name with last name.

    Hi:
    I hope someone find the answer, I wrote this question before in the old forum http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5450216, but I didn't get an answer so I am migrating my question.
    Is there a way to get the full user name from a windows domain? Like the one that you see in the windows start menu on the top.
    I have an application that needs to print a report with the full user name with last name and everything (Example: John F. Doe, not jdoe), so they can sign above the name. Please tell me if there's an api or jar, because the only thing I can get right now is the username. One more thing, it's a stand alone java swing application.
    I will appreciate your help.
    Regards,

    JAAS with the Windows Login Module is about as close as you can get. I don't know exactly how close that is.
