Getting an error in oracle

Hello every one ,
I am trying to create a procedure in my oracle databas and i am getting error like this
ORA- 01031 Insufficient Privilages
I have chcked the roles and righit of that user account and i didn't find any problem there.
I don't know how to resolve this problem

just check whether you have got the rights to create procedure in that schema. that can be the most probable reason.

Getting Deployment error in Oracle 10g server

Hii while deploying EAR in Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g. I am getting following error message and an resoluation message,which i could not able to proceed further.
Deployment Failed : Another operation in progress which prevents your operation from completing at this time.
Resolution : If you are using a file-based repository and there are no other concurrent operations,please use the dcmctl utility resetFile Transaction command to clean up any abnormaly terminated file-based repository operations.
I restarted the server and tried deploying several times but no use,So could anyone tell me, what command I should execute to overcome this problem .

As the 'Resolution' suggests: dcmctl resetFile Transaction
If you are unsure then navigate to $ORACLE_HOME/dcm and type dcmctl -help. It should give you a list of options to restore from archive, update the configuration and restart the instances etc.

Getting an error - with date prompt

I really need a help to resolve this issue -
I have created a date prompt As of date with presentation variable name CPG_CASH_DATE.
I have use this variable in different number columns - Amount Due Original , Amount Applied , Amount Due Remaining.

Sometimes it is working -but now I am getting below error.
Oracle Error code: 1861, message: ORA-01861: message: ORA-01861: literal does not match format string

This is a common error when attempting CAST to dates. I've resolved this in the past using Gerad's post here, http://gerardnico.com/wiki/dat/obiee/cast_as_date
I'm not sure why you are getting thie inconsistency when you say it was "sometimes" working and now it is not. Perhaps you've been in iterative develpment and changed a few things which broke something here.
Take a look at Gerad's notes that this will resolve your issue.

i think there is one exact problem in sql and other is optional.
1. u write field
TIEINS is of the datatype NUMBER(3)
but in query in where part u write
where TIEINS = '1'
so problem is of data type.
second optional problem can be removed by given date format in to_Date() function.
like To_Date('27.10.2000','dd.mm.yyyy')

It is hard to say what the issue is without knowing all the details, but I would start looking at the following:
$ORACLE_HOME/forms/server/formsweb.cfg and in particular the FORMS_PATH variable setting. That's what stumped me in the beginning.

Why am I getting an error in Time Machine?

I have been using Time Machine to an external hard drive with no issues however yesterday, I added to the list of disks to back up another external hard drive that incldues my iTunes library. Since this time, I have been getting an error each time Time Machine runs to try and do a back-up. The error is as follows:
The backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk.
The problem may be temporary. Try again later to back up. If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk.
What am I doing wrong that I need to correct to ensure that the error no longer occurs?

Keep in mind that P_CONTACT is a REF CURSOR data-type. I had
it set as CF_SQL_BLOB in my original code because I read some posts

I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!

I'm not even sure this is in the proper forum.
But anyhow ...
i am getting problem while installing oracle 10g in laptop its showing error as "Error in Writing to Directory C:\Users\Accent.Muthu\Appdata\Local\temp\OraInstall2011-03-03-10-51-53 AM.
Please ensure that the directory is writable and has atleast of 45 MB of disk space.Installation can not continue.
so please tell me the solution as soon as possible

Hi Raj,
Not sure if this is already resolved.
Seems your DSA has atleast 2 outputs. As of Version 11.1.1.6.1 the webervice allows calls to DSAs with only 1 output. So your options are:
Combine your outputs to single output
Use other integration methods
