Getting Day from the date :

Hi,
I want to get the day(Monday ,tuesday.. like that) and the input parameter for that function is the date let say 02/14/2006.

> Can you explain it more elobarately.Because the
content i got from that link some what puzzling to me.
I posted the link to that class at 13:26, you again posted a reply at 13:40. If my calculator is correct, you've spent about 14 minutes looking at that class and the examples from that page. I also wouldn't understand it in that time.
Try the examples on the page, alter them, see what happens. Come back here with a specific question.
Good luck.

  • Get days from the java.util.date class

    Does anyone know how to get the days from the java.util.date
    class. I'm trying to subtract two dates to get the total days between
    the two dates. Any help would be appriciated
    Rob

    If you use the getTime() method, you get the date as a number of milliseconds since a predefined time. You can do arithmetic on that number, such as subtracting two of them to get the number of milliseconds between two Dates, and so on.

    The code you've posted will retrieve the DAY in Arabic so long as you set NLS_LANGUAGE:
    alter session set nls_language=ARABIC;
    select to_char(sysdate, 'DAY')
    from dual;
    الثلاثاء

  • Need to subtract one day from the date appearing

    Hi, I am modifying a script in such a way that for an output type there is an invoice date appearing.  This invoice date should be back dated to 1 date less to the actually date that is appearing currently.
    For ex the date is 2007.08.30 it should appear as 2007.08.29.
    While debugging I found that it is picking up the data for the date from the structure vbdkr and the field is fkdat. From the following code in the script.
    /:   DEFINE &SALES_ORDER& := &VBDKR-VBELN_VAUF&
    /:   INVOICE DATE,, : &VBDKR-FKDAT&
    What changes do I need to make the changes in the script or in the driver program?
    Can you please suggest?
    Thanks.

    Hi..
    You can get this Functionality by Calling a FORM (subroutine) from the Script Layout itself  There is no need to change the Print program.
    Eg:
    In the layout set -> window -> text elements. Write this before displaying invoice date
    /: PERFORM F_DATE_SUB IN PROGRAM ZPRG01
    /: CHANGING &VBDKR-FKDAT&
    /: ENDPERFORM
    INVOICE DATE,, : &VBDKR-FKDAT&
    Create the report program ZPRG01: In the program ZPRG01
    FORM F_DATE_SUB TABLES INTAB STRUCTURE ITCSY
                                                  OUTTAB STRUCTURE ITCSY.
    DATA: L_DATE TYPE D.
    READ TABLE OUTTAB INDEX 1.
    L_DATE = OUTTAB-VALUE. "you need to convert here
    SUBTRACT  1 FROM L_DATE.
    OUTTAB-VALUE = L_DATE.
    MODIFY OUTTAB INDEX 1.
    ENDFORM.
    reward if Helpful.

  • How to calculate number of days from a date field

    Dear BW Experts.
    I have a field 'Create Date' in the BEx query. Now we need to create a variable which should give the number of days from the date of running the query (sy-datum) to the Create Date.
    This will help the users to get records which are say, 30 days old (Sy-datum - create date = 30) or 10 days old etc.
    Could you suggest as to how to create this variable.
    Thanks,
    Sai

    Hi,
    Step 1: Create variable on "Create Date" with User entry processing type
    Step 2: Create a restricted KF for Sales & restrict it on "Create Date" to get "Sales on day"
    Step 3: Manipulate  the values of "Create Date" on which you could restrict  "Sales" again and again to get other values
    Step 4: Create one variable (ZPUTMNTH) for u201CMonth to Dateu201D with processing by u201CCustomer Exitu201D. This variable was created  on u201CDateu201D characteristics.
    Step 5 : Goto C-mod t-code and use EXIT_SAPLRRS0_001
    to calculate "month to date" user input is "Calday" Key Date
    WHEN 'ZPUTMNTH'.
    IF I_STEP = 2. "after the popup
    LOOP AT I_T_VAR_RANGE INTO LOC_VAR_RANGE
    WHERE VNAM = 'ZPDATE'.
    CLEAR L_S_RANGE.
    L_S_RANGE-LOW = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW(6). "low value, e.g.YYYYMM (200606) part of key date (20060625)
    L_S_RANGE-LOW+6(2) = '01'. u201C low value e..g. YYYYMM01 (20060601)
    L_S_RANGE-HIGH = LOC_VAR_RANGE-LOW. "high value = input
    L_S_RANGE-SIGN = 'I'.
    L_S_RANGE-OPT = 'BT'.
    APPEND L_S_RANGE TO E_T_RANGE.
    EXIT.
    ENDLOOP.
    ENDIF.

  • Powerpivot Error on Refresh -- "We couldn't get data from the data model..."

    I'm using Excel 2013 and Windows 8.1.  I have a spreadsheet I've been using for over a year, and I've just started getting this error message when I try to refresh the data.
    "We couldn't get data from the Data Model.  Here's the error message we got:
    The 'attributeRelationship' with 'AttributeID' - 'PuttDistCat9' doesn't exist in the collection"
    Any idea how I can fix this problem?  I haven't changed anything related to that particular attribute.  All the data is contained in separate sheets in the workbook, so there are no external sources of data.
    Thanks.
    Jean

    Thanks for all the suggestions.
    I found a slightly older version of the spreadsheet that still refreshes properly, so I don't think I have any issues with the version of Excel or Power Query.  (I've had this same error before, and I believe I applied the hotfix at that time.)
    I think this problem started after I updated a number of the date filters in the pivot tables.  I haven't made any changes to the data model, and the only updates I've made were to add data (which I do all the time), and to change the date filters on
    the pivot tables.
    As suggested, I added a new pivot table querying one table (the table with the attribute that shows up in the error message), and it worked fine.  I can also refresh this pivot table.
    Then I tried adding a pivot table which went against several tables in the data model (including the table in question).  The pivot table seemed to return that data properly.  However, when I tried to refresh it, I got the same error message ("we
    couldn't get data from the data model...").
    Dany also suggested running the queries one at a time to see which one is in error.  Without checking all the pivot tables, it appears that any which use the table "HolePlayedStrokes" generate the error (this is the table with the attribute
    mentioned in the error message).  Pivot Tables without that particular table seem to refresh OK.  Unfortunately, that is the main table in my data model, so most of the pivot tables use it.
    Any other suggestions?  I'd be happy to send a copy of the spreadsheet.
    Thanks for all the help.

  • Plz tell me how I can get back from the recovery mode to my normal mode without lossing data ... actually I was trying to update ios 7 in my 4s so then mobile stuck into recovery mode...plz help?

    plz tell me how I can get back from the recovery mode to my normal mode without lossining data...I stuck in this mode while I was try to update ios 7 in my 4s

    If it's in recovery mode, anything on the phone is already gone.  Restore the phone using iTunes, then restore it from your last backup. If you've been backing up on a regular basis as intended, you won't lose anything except what's changed since the last backup.

  • How to get group when the data source from system instead of UME database

    Hig guys,
    How to get group when the data source comes from backend system instead of UME database?
    I tried to use
    IUMPrincipal RefGroup = WPUMFactory.getGroupFactory().getGroup(groupName);
    But I was not able to get the group. But in "UserAdministrator", I can find this groupName.
    Which kind of API can I use?
    Thanks in advance!

    Ok,
    try this:
    com.sapportals.portal.security.usermanagement.IGroupFactory ep5GroupFactory = userManagementService.getGroupFactory();
    IGroupFactory groupFactory = UMFactory.getGroupFactory();
    com.sap.security.api.IGroup group = groupFactory.getGroupByUniqueName(groupName);
    IUMPrincipal ep5Principal = ep5GroupFactory.getEP5Group(group);
    This should do the trick,

    Define no 'fixed day' and 'additional months'. Go to payment terms section and enter 90 in 'No. of days'

  • When I go in I cloud data storage, it says I have 3.3gb from an old phone which was replaced by a new phone. The new phone has 1.2gb of data. Can I now get rid of the data on the old phone from the i cloud.

    When I go in I cloud data storage, it says I have 3.3gb from an old phone which was replaced by a new phone. The new phone has 1.2gb of data. So I now have a total of 4.5GB OF DATA stored. The Old phone is now with Apple and I deleted all the information.  Can I now get rid of the data on I cloud for the old phone. What data does the 3.3GB consist of? Is there anyway, I can find out?
    Thanks

    When you delete an iCloud backup it is permanently deleted and not available in the future to restore from.  The backup of your second phone only contains the data and settings from that phone.  If any of this data was inherited from your first phone, it would be contained in the backup of your second phone as it was on your second phone when it was backed up.
    If you want to keep backups of your old phone, back them up in iTunes and they will remain on your computer.  Even if you are backing up to iCloud, you can manually back up your phone in iTunes by right-clicking on the name of your phone on the left side of iTunes and selecting Back Up.  iTunes will see each device as a separate device, and will maintain the backups separately.  Do this with your first phone and you can then delete the iCloud backup and you will have the iTunes backup on your computer should you ever want to access it.

  • 90days or 3months data from the date today

    Hi,
    I have problem on this query, I need to extract the customers that is on 90days or 3months in their subscription of the product from the date today. I know that the startdate field must be used on the condition but don't know the right formula. I have tried different condition but I'm not getting the exact data. I have tried this AND sysdate-startdate<=90 but this give me also customers with less 90 days into their subscription but I just need customers with exact 90days. While this one startdate=sysdate-90 doesn't give me results but there should be.
    SELECT
    c.id,
    i.firstname||i.name as Name,
    to_char(c.startdate,'MM/DD/YYYY') as start_date,
    to_char(c.enddate,'MM/DD/YYYY') as expire_date,

    WHERE     i.id                     = s.id
    AND sysdate-startdate<=90
    AND c.enddate>=sysdate

    SQL>If you look at the dates around the end of May, 3 months ago stays at 28th Feb for 4 days, whilst 90 days ago is continually progressive.
    Also, if you look at the dates around 29th and 30th November, then the 3 months ago misses the 30th August out (that's what David was talking about)
    Depends what the actual requirements are, but if it's for a daily rolling window, I'd probably go for the 90 days version. If it's for months reports, I'd go for the monthly version.

  • Excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order

    Hi all,
    While capturing excise invoice , the excise rate and value is not getting defaulted from the purchase order and in Excise Item Tab BED,AED,ECS is Zero at both header as well as item level for only one material in STO process and if we are doing same process taking other material all things are coming perfectly and We are maintaining condition with respect to vendor,plant and material combination.Any input related to this will be helpfull and rewarded.
    Regards
    Vishal

    Hi,
    Follow STO Process for this;
    1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group: 0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM > Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > assign delivery Type & Checking rule
    Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO > Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
    Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings, Create the STO using T-Code: ME21N and maintain pricing conditions of freight and Save.
    11. In supplying plant Maintain condition record in sales using VK11 the same will flow in receiving plant when referring the OBD no during MIGO.
    10. Create Delivery: VL10G
    12. Picking, PGI: VL02N
    13. Billing: VF01
    Save the document and its done
    14. J1IIN - Outgoing Excise Invoice
    15. MIGO - Goods Receipt against outbound Delivery
    16. J1IEX - Capture & Post Excise Invoice
