Getting encoded Email attachment!!!!

Hi Frds,
I am sending a notification through email. Its the same SendEmailWith Attachments example. The samplecover.pdf file is shown properly in email attachment , but when I wanna read .txt/.doc/.rtf file its showing some encoding.
I am using mime type for the attachment as
"string('text/html; charset=UTF-8'
Any pointers so that I could get my email attachment show proper message instead of encoding. Thanks to all

I don't see the function under Advanced Functions. I looked through all the other function lists and I still don't see doTranslateToNative() anywhere. When I try to use the function anyway, I get an error when I try to deploy the BPEL process. The error message says the function is not registered, make sure the function is registered in xpath-functions.xml file located under domain config directory and make sure that function prefix is mapped to correct namespace in <process> activity.
I looked in the xpath-functions.xml file and I don't see any functions listed in there. I'm not sure why the error message says the function needs to be listed in this file because other xpath functions are available for use in the BPEL process and they aren't listed in the file.
Is there another solution besides using doTranslateNative()?

Email attachment in PDF problem with Images

Hi All,
Can any one tell me how to solve the problem with Email attachment in PDF. If i remove the logo of the client in the Smartform i am getting the Email attachment fine but when i put back the image in the smartform the PDF is giving error and not opening the attachment.

When I get a email of a picture from a cell phone on my ipad 2 it just says I have recieved a multimedia message. It does not show n attachment or anything. I have tried using adobe and all tons of stuff. How can I the attachment to show up?

You did not get an email, you got a MMS. You have to enable MMS on your phone before you can see the picture.

How do I get an email file attachment, any extension, off of my phone?

All I want to do is get an email file attachment off of my phone and on to my computer so I can use it. I don't want to open it on my phone, it could be an AutoCAD file, a programming langauge file, etc. I want the option to save the attachment to local memory on my phone and then transfer it to my PC via USB. This worked all the time with my Blackberry, but it seems impossible or extremely difficult with the Apple IOS. The available phone memory would look like a USB stick drive to my PC. I am at job sites all the time where I do not have internet access from my PC, but I am within the cell network area of coverage so this would be an option.
I spent almost an hour with Apple Tech support today and they must have thought that I was on drugs asking for such a simple thing. Apparently, the available phone memory is protected by the IOS so that the PC can't see it or use it. They said this feature would be all App based. The key then is finding an App that would allow the email client on the phone to give the user the option to open or save the file to a location that my PC can see. Does anyone know of such an App? If I can't find a workable solution I may have to go to an Android device. Thanks.

So I understand where you are coming from. The best way is to use the cloud. What you need to do is download a program like dropbox, box.net or sugar sync; there are tons of these apps but those 3 are the most widely supported. Once you download it on your device you can then download it onto your computer by going to their respective sites. These will automatically sync your documents over the air when both your computer and phone are connected to the internet. But if you have no internet service on your computer here is what you do; go to itunes and plug in your phone> go over to the APPS tab on the top> scroll to the bottom of the page and it will say file transfer. This will allow you to pull files from those cloud apps even without service and voila you have your files on your computer even without Wi-Fi or hotspots. I hope this helps!
EDIT; the best app to use file transfer with is good reader because the cloud apps won't sync directly with iTUnes. You will have to pay for it but it will allow you to connect all your cloud services to it and it can edit and view most files. I use it constantly for my work and I wouldn't be able to live without it even if I wasn't using it for file transfer. Sorry I forgot that in my post, this is an necessity to use the file transfer in iTunes.

I have a macro that executes when the user sends an email. In this macro, I want to get the subject of the email itself and the titles of all of its attachments (be they documents or other attached emails).
To get the email subject, I use Groupwise.ComposingItem.subject
To get the attachment filename, I use Groupwise.ItemAttachmentGetDisplayName("X00", <attachment_index>)
However, this call only seems to work for document attachments. For other emails attached to the current email, this call returns "Mail Attachment" instead of the name of the attached email. How can I get the name (i.e. subject) of the attached email?

i try useing the DMS_KPRO_READ prog as you said above.
The problem is that i need to retrieve list (range) of documents and than save them.
as it written now , i can do it just about one file.

Report output getting truncated in email attachment

Hello Gurus,
My requirement is to send a report output as an email attachment.
I have done the coding for this but have a small problem. In the attachment the report is getting truncated after certain length.
Can you advise wats the problem ?

Email attachment rows greater than 255 char get truncated

I am trying to code in 4.6C to email excel attachment with rows greater than 255, and the rows are being truncated using function module SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
I have searched the forum and can not find an actual solution to this on a 4.6c system.
Firstly is it possible to send an excel attachment with rows that have rows greater than 255, and secondly if yes have anyone seen any sample code which does this?

When i get an email with an attachment file it always get saved. Is there a way to not automatically save the attachment?

Someone is probably sending spam with your address forged on the To: line. Could be one of your old contacts with a Windows machine has a virus that's doing it. It's also possible your e-mail account has been hacked, though I'd think such a hacker would be a bit more purposeful.

How do I set AUTOMATOR to go to a folder, get a picture, attach it to an email, send it, move on to the next picture, send it and repeat it till no more pictures are available?

I have about 5000 (yes, five thousand!) JPG files I need to post to a blog via email.
So, how would I go about setting AUTOMATOR to create an email, attach only one of the JPG files to this email, send it off and move on to the next; repeating this till all pictures have been emailed off?
Any help would be appreciated!

Pdf file sent via email attachment gets a webloc extension

Someone sent an email with a pdf attachment to our entire school via our google mail account. People with PCs were able to open the pdf files. Mac users received the pdf files with a webloc extension (i.e. - filename.pdf.webloc) and were unable to open it. How did this happen and how can we prevent it from happening again? I had 2 of the pdf files on my mac (one of which I created) and they did not have a webloc extension. Any help would be great. Thank you!!

I tried that and received a message from Adobe Acrobat that read "Adobe Reader could not open 'Absentee Ballot.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).
Since we have 300+ families who receive these emails and I don't know who has a mac and who doesn't I would rather be able to send the pdf attachments and prevent the webloc from being applied at all versus letting everyone know how to remove it once they receive it.
