Getting font files used by Java

Hi everyone,
I am writing an application which allows the user to use different fonts available on the system. When saving a document in this application, I would like to include the fonts with the document, rather than just references (in case the document is transferred to another system that doesn't have the fonts installed).
Presumably this is a simple case of finding the location of each font file used within the document and then copying it to the folder containing the document (then the document can use the local fonts).
However, I wasn't able to find a (system-independent) way to determine where a given font is located on the system. Can anyone point me in the right direction for doing this?
Thanks,
Bren

    yes you can run html file
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT is a built-in that is used in Forms to call URL from a Web Form. It works much like the similar way that a link on an HTML page works and it takes two arguments, one is URL and second one is TARGET, in your case use following.
    WEB.SHOW_DOCUMENT('http://channas.iil.informatics.lk:8890/forms/frmservlet?config=abc.html', '_blank');
    Hope this will work for you

  • Getting remote file using FTP Server Issue in OSB

    Hi Guys,
    I have configured a FTP server on my local system and I created a proxy service to get file from ftp location to some other location but it fails . I used ftp protocol for getting file
    and my ftp location is D:\host\ftp and it has another folder called osb . I used ftp as protocol and EndPointURI is ftp://localhost/. It fails to get files and shows error message like
    com.bea.wli.sb.transports.TransportException: <user:osb>Unable to list files for
    directory: .
    at com.bea.wli.sb.transports.ftp.connector.FTPWorkPartitioningAgent.exec
    ute(FTPWorkPartitioningAgent.java:218)
    In case of Business Service, writing a file to ftp location (i.e ftp://localhost/ means D:\host\ftp\osb) working.
    I used service account for both proxy,BS to connect . osb is username and same as password.
    Can Any one please suggest me How to solve this issue?
    Thanks,
    Srinivas.

  • How to get XML file using servlets that XI sent to my J2EE appl?

    Hi All!
    I have a scenario like XI sends xml file to j2ee application. In my J2EE application my servlet receives this xml. Will the xml file be in my HTTPServletRequest object? if so how to get that file from Request object.
    Please help me its urgent, Any code help is highly appreciated.
    My xml file will be like this:
    <ns0:Http_Message_Type_Demo
    xmlns:ns0="http://abcdemo.com">
    <Name>ABC</Name>
    <RollNo>123</RollNo>
    <Address>a-4</Address>
    </ns0:Http_Message_Type_Demo>
    somebody should help me!please
    Thanks

    Hi,
    You can use HTTPServletRequest object to get the XML payload.
    BufferedReader reader = request.getReader(); //gets XML payload
    String line = reader.readLine(); // to read the XML payload line by line
    (request is the HTTPServletRequest object)

  • How to install JAVA API client files :: Using XI JAVA Proxy & NWDS

    Hi
    I am going to integrate the SAP with one "AB" System which is providing Java API to integrate with their client ( which in turn will connect with AB System ) using SAP XI. So "AB" System is providing JAR files & property files, in order to instantiate objects & call those APIs.
    Now I am going to write the JAVA code in NWDS which is installed on my Laptop so I am sure I need to give this jar files under ::
    Project -> Properties and then Java Build Path -> Libraries.
    Choose Add External JARs
    But where do I need to add property files.
    Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.
    I am not much into JAVA so pls. try to give me detailed steps.
    Regards
    - Lalit -

    Lalit,
    ><i>But where do I need to add property files</i>
    How are you going to access the properties file? Are you going to use Java IO to read the file or are you dgoing to bundle the property file as a resource and use the getResource() . If you are going to use Java IO then you will have to hard code the property file path in your code and make sure that your Proxy can read the property file.
    If your property file is going to vary across environments, I woudl suggest this approach. Make sure that the property file path will be same in all environments and it will work fine and make sure that your proxy will have OS level IO access as well.
    Another option would be to have the property file bundled as a respurce, but, making changes to the file in this case will be an issue!
    ><i>Also do I need to install the same files on XI Server too & do I need to install the "AB" System Client also on XI Server or it can be installed some place else too.</i>
    When you create the EAR file for your Java Proxy, remove all XI .jar files and just make sure that the Client JAR is available in the EAR file. You need not install the Client JAR file anywhere as long as the jar file is a part of the EAR!

  • Finding the exact path of a file using a Java program

    Can anyone tell me how to find the exact path of a file which is saved in a directory other than the one in which the main file is saved? I know there is a class called File which has many methods like isAbsolutePath() and isPath() but they return the path in which the main class is located

    actually i m trying to write a program which will
    take a name of a file or a directory from the console
    and it should give the entire path of that file or
    directory and this file need not be stored in the
    path of the main class.....It can be stored in any
    drives of my PC....Ok, then the console input needs to be an absolute path or a path relative to some given directory (usually the one from which the application is started). Java cannot magically guess absolute paths if you just provide a file name. E.g. if I'd use your program and would provide as input "build.xml", how should the program know which file by that name I mean (there are lots of build.xml files in different locations on my machine)?

  • How to get the file using file adapter.

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement, IDoc -> PI -> JMS Adapter. Here the IDoc is in Flat file format. How can i consume Flat file version of IDoc into PI using Sender File Adapter for further processing..
    The Flat file version is been created within the SAP Application server "/usr/sap/SID/SYS/global"
    Do I need to specific Source Directory as "/usr/sap/SID/SYS/global" in Sender comm channel? How about the remaining parameters like authentication details?
    plz guide me..
    Thnx

    Check the below link:

    go to transaction AL11 and there you can find DIR_HOME with a path.
    D:usrsapPID..
    Double click on the filename, you would be able to view the file content.
    That path is ur Application Server path, there you can save your file. Then in the External Data tab in Scheduling screen select Application server and on the file name press F4 so u can get the AL11 files select that then double click DIR_HOME, select your file.
    It will ask for display contents or copy name. Give COPY NAME the file name with path will be copied.
    If we are using Sender File Adapter to consume the file then what should be the source directory (i.e., /usr/SAP/PID/Global/..)
    If you are on the same network then use File Aapter(NFS).
    Now, the path should be usrSAPPIDGlobal

    but i don't receive anything with .html files it works great kan someone help me, pleaseWhat's that mean? Either you need to call:
    URLConnection urlconnection = url.openConnection();
    urlconnection.connect();
    Or you mean you aren't getting things like the images in the file... Well, of course, cuz there are no images in an HTML file. Only links to images, which a browser would parse out of the HTML and make another connection to the server to get. So you'd have to do the same thing. URLConnection is not a browser, it doesn't parse HTML.

  • Validating a sender file using a JAVA UDF in PI message mapping

    Hi,
    I have a sender file with one header and multiple detail lines. I have been asked to read a tag on the header which contains the total number of detail lines.
    I then loop round the detail lines counting the total number. If the total number of detail lines matches the total value in the header tag then XI can process the files otherwise the mapping should raise an exception.
    Has anyone encountered this before and if so do you have an example of the Java code you used ?
    Many thanks
    Mark

    Hi,
    You can refer to this link for a similar kind of requirement but it is of inserting newline at the end of each line.
    But you can customize the code for ur use.
    Please refer https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/xi/howtoappendCarriageReturnintheendofeachtagofxml+file.
    Now in this code you can use the logic something like this.
    1. You must be knowing the header tag where your actual Total Count number resides. Put it in some variable, while looping over xmlString. Don't put anything in resultset until u come to actual line items.
    2. Now start adding your counter. At the end of this loop you will have 2 variable. 1 contains the actual given total counts from header and other will contain calculated count.
    3. Match it in if condition , if not matched do nothing no resultset append or may b you can send some exception or if matched send the actual XML.
    Hope this will help you a bit.

  • EXPORT.XML file used during Java export?

    Hi all !!!
    I'm doing an export of a Solution Manager 7.01 system. This system also has a CPS (redwood) installation in thev database java schema.
    What happened was that not all tables listed in the EXPORT.XML existed, so I got a failure.
    I then "undeployed" CPS, and deleted all CPS files from the database (JCS_). However, when I restarted (or started from the beginning) I got the same error. The EXPORT.XML (in the export java directory) still have all the JCS_ tables listed.
    This file is recreated during every restart, so I tested to create a script which override this file with one without the JCS_* tables all the time (more than 100 times a minute). But the export still has the JCS_* tables in the list during export.
    So is the EXPORT.XML even used during export, or does it keep the values in memory already when the file is created.
    And a second question is: From where does the input to the EXPORT.XML file come from? It's not from the database since there is not a trace of any JCS_* tables in the database however ju list information from the DB2 dictionary (DB2 9.5.2)
    So can anyone tell me how to skip these tables from the export?
    // Claes

    Hello Claes,
    is this system (CPS) a copy or migration of other system ? it happens sometimes that old schema tables remains in the system.
    regards, Javier
