Getting IP address of sender
Hello all,
I am using Java Mail API to connect to a IMAP mailbox and read messages. Is it possible to get the IP address of the sender for every received message? If yes, please tell me how can I do that?

I think it is not possible.
Some mail clients suport the saving a message as it came from the mail server (e.g. Netscape/Mozilla). Hints for the various mail servers traversed by the message might be in the headers, but not the IP address it was sent from.

How do I get Messages to stop sending from my email address instead of my phone number?
I've had several people tell me that texts I've sent from my iPhone have been showing up as <myemailadd>@mac.com instead of my phone number. It started doing that under iOS7. I don't want my email address sent with my phone-originated texts. I don't want my email address broadcast to people that shouldn't have it.
So what do I need to change to make sure that phone texts originate from my phone number, home texts show my email address, and both are viewable on both my iPhone and iMac?I think its fixed. I had to sign iMessages in on my Apple ID, but then deselect my email addresses to make it behave the way it should. Now if I could get iMessage to only send response alerts to the last device I used, instead of late night texts going to every device I own in the house and waking everyone up.
For some reason, the free iCloud address I automatically received (when Apple was trying to force people to leave Mac.com) is "hardwired" into iMessage. People were also getting texts from that address even though I was on my phone. I tried to delete it but iOS tells me I can't. I don't use that address, I won't ever use it, too bad I can't make it go away. -
Hi i use iphone 4 with iso 6.1.3!! Am not getting an option to register my phone number in imsg!! Am just getting an option to set my email address for sending and receiving the imsgs!! How do i register my phone number??

After each step, toggle FaceTime and iMessage off and then on in Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime.
Update to the latest version of iOS.
Ensure that your iPhone is set to the correct time zone. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: If Set Automatically is on but the incorrect time zone is displayed, turn Set Automatically off and then choose the correct time zone, date, and time. Then turn Set Automatically on again.
Ensure that FaceTime has not been restricted: Settings > General > Restrictions > FaceTime.
Verify that you can send SMS messages. You need a valid SMS messaging plan to activate FaceTime.
Contact your carrier to verify that there are no restrictions or blocks on text messages. Blocks on text messaging will prevent iMessage and FaceTime registration.
If you are unable to activate iMessage or FaceTime on a device after remote wiping it, wait at least 24 hours and try again.
If "Waiting for Activation" is displayed, leave FaceTime and iMessage enabled for 24 hours. Toggling FaceTime or iMessage off and on will cause the registration process to start over.

There is no way for anyone on this forum to assist you. Apple will also not assist you. If you purchased the device thru ebay, file a claim. If you purchased it some other way, I'm sorry. there is nothing anyone can do to help you.

This advice given above to reset security questions is useless, as I don't get the option to send an email to my rescue address (which is verified) to reset my security questions.
Any suggestions fellow mac users?You are sure that you have a rescue email address, and not an alternate email address ? They are different addressess and settings.

VWLC clients getting DHCP address from management VLAN
Hi,
We have a strange scenario whereby some wireless employees are obtaining addresses from the management VLAN.
Some details:
DHCP managed by MS DHCP 2008 R2 (in remote data centre)
Cisco vWLC AIR-CTVM-K9 running v7.6.110.0
AP's are a mix of 2602 and 3702 (46 and 2 of each respectively)
SSID's are employee, guest, and production devices (all mapped to their own interface with relevant VLAN tag as per normal)
AP's all in FlexConnect mode as per vWLC caveats
Some employees are receiving addresses in the wireless management VLAN. This network only has six DHCP addresses available as it is solely for AP's, WLC and HSRP gateway. Obviously this gets exhausted very quickly leaving us with a scenario where clients are not obtaining DHCP addresses.
I understand that with FlexConnect mode, it will assign IP's from the native VLAN. What I don't understand is why most clients receive addresses in the correct VLAN, but a handful do not, and then cannot get an address from DHCP. Obviously the ideal scenario would be to put the AP's into local mode but unless this has changed in a SW release then I don't believe it's possible...
My question is: How do I get ALL the employees to obtain addresses from their interface and not the management VLAN?

I think we need a closer look to your configurarion to eliminate some possibilities:
- What is the WLAN security you choose?
- What is the interface that is configured under the WLAN?
- Does your WLAN have local switching enabled?
- If your security is using RADIUS server, do you have AAA override enabled under the WLAN config?
- If your security is using RADIUS server, do you send any attributes to the users?
- You have eliminate that clients that got management vlan IPs are always on same AP or they can be on any AP.

I want to send a smartform to Email using an Output Type and Medium as "Simple Mail". In that User will maintain the Recipient addresses (Internet Email Addresses and SAPOffice address etc.) in the Comminication Method while issuing the Output.
Now I need a way to retrieve these Recipient address from the Communication Method.

Thanks in advance.Since properties don't really exist anywhere other than inside the editor, you can't get memory addresses for them. What you can do is add some observer methods to the keys. If you know the variable that the property is bound to, you could look at that too.

How do I get the address of a LV array?
Hi!
I try to pass a 1D array of ShortInt to an external DLL. I found many solutions for C DLLs (using the Call Library Function Node) but this doesn' work for my COM / ActiveX DLL. The external function expects a simple integer value as reference pointer to an array. The array is created in LV and will not be resized by the external function.
Any ideas how I can get the address of my array, send this pointer to the DLL and get my array filled with data that way? I tried typecasts (array => int) but they don't work that way.
Thanks!The problem is not accessing the COM-DLL. This works fine. The DLL I have handles a datafile, I can access different integer and string-fields with the COM DLL, the only thing that doesn't work is getting data from the file into an array. The DLL-Method expects an pointer that points to an already initialised array.
The Call Library Function Node automatically passes the address of a connected array as a pointer, how can I do that with a COM-DLL?

Someone has captured my email address and sending emails saying they are from me.
Someone has captured my email address and sending messages out to people in my address book making it look like they are from me. It's for an advertisement on a webpage. How do I get it to stop?
This has not happened to me in over 3 years when I switched to apple products.
Anyone that can help me clean this up. Most of the recipients that the link above is being sent to are simply deleting because they know if I was the one asking them to check out the link I would tell them first what it was about before they open it. There is NO message in the email JUST the website. This is frustrating for me...brings me back 3 years to anti-virus protection with Windows.

Need powershell commands to get email addresses from public folder created in EAC to CSV
1. Created Public folders via EAC - not mail enabled - just to hold contacts.
2. Assigned owners and showed to add new contacts - then add to favorites and finally to display as address book.
Now I need a powershell command to get those email contacts in those public folders.
I need to view them because when we send emails to those groups (via select all) in the public folders, it is creating an NDR for 3 users saying - "..blah blah -OFFICE FAX or HOME FAX) - yet they are getting the emails.
I suspect that their contact details are corrupt somehow and want to see what contacts are actually listed in the public folders. I already checked to see if the source of the contacts was the public folder or "my contacts" and they are not.'
I have tried multiple get recipient commands and get public folder commands with no results in the CSVThe only way to get that data is either via the Outlook com object or using EWS. None of the commands in the Exchange shell look inside of a folder, the most you can get with those is email addresses for mail-enabled Public folders. Here is a link that can
get you started with how to connect to public folders via EWS, then its just enumerating the folders and looping through the items in the folders for the details of the items.

When I open Firefox I do not get an address bar only Google comes up. I don't get a back or forward button nor do I get the tool bar or menu bar. There is no default button. I read the forum but I can not make any corrections because I don't have a tool bar displayed. I am using 3.6. When I turn off my computer and then turn it back on, the default settings still do not return.
It is a long while since I tried Google Toolbar, I am not sure what it changes. But I would not expect it to totally remove your options to use the ordinary toolbars.

* you may also use View-> Toolbars -> Customise and drag items back or use the restore default set option.

I hope you do not need to resort to editing registry settings, the firefox 'dragons' in prefs are user friendly compared with Windows registry. Messing up firefox prefs only really affects firefox normally; whereas errors in a registry edit may prevent you from even booting the computer.
