I have tried bbut cannot seem to get music from my old ipod to my new ipod. I lost old one long ago and recently found it and much loved n' missed songs . I since replaced pc and saved no music . I tried connecting both ipods to my laptop but no luck getting songs from old to new !!  Any help would be greattly appreciated pelase n' thank you :-)

    Hi Lea64!
If your music was ripped from CDs, you will need to re-rip it to your iTunes library on your new computer. But if you bought your music from iTunes, they are still in iCloud, and you can redownload them at no cost. Sign in to the iTunes Store on your computer, then click on "Purchased" on the list on the right hand side. You'll see everything you have ever bought from iTunes in there, and anything that's not currently on your computer will have a little cloud with a downward pointing arrow in it. Click on the cloud symbol next to whatever you want to download, and it will download to your computer. Plug in your iPod and synch it, and you're done. Hope this helps!

  • How come my music will not download to my phone when i get music from a different source other than itunes?

I am having trouble transfering music on to my phone when i get music from another source like amazon mp3. Anyone know why that is?

You don't dial *228 on a 4G LTE phone to reprogram it or update the PRLs ... that's handled by the SIM card.
You might try a new SIM card; they're free at your local Corporate Verizon store or by calling Customer Service.

  • Can't get music from library to iPod

Ok, I hope someone can help me out a little here. I tried to use my iPod as an external hard drive so that I could migrate my music from old CPU to new CPU. Somehow, I've managed to clear the music from my iPod (but not library). Now, I can't get my music back onto my iPod b/c it says there's insufficient memory.
    Any ideas?

Try restoring the iPod to factory settings.
This will completely erase the iPod hard drive.

  • How to transfer music from my old ipod to my itunes

I have a old ipod that my sister gave me couple years ago. She put a lot of music in it and gave it to me as a gift. I wanted to transfer music from that ipod to my itunes.
Is there any way to do it? and How?

You cannot use iTunes to transfer song files from iPod to computer, except for songs purchased from the iTunes Store.  However, there are third-party methods and utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like "ipod transfer," you should get some links.  (The CNET article seems to be popular.)
Once the song files are on your computer's drive, you can add them to your current iTunes library.  Then you can sync your iPod to that library.

  • How do I transfer music from my Clickwheel iPod back into iTunes

I have recently had a problem with my PC Hard drive. In the process of trying to transfer my music library from my PC Hard drive to an External Hard drive, I have lost all the CD's that I had installed via the PC into iTunes. I have all the Album Artwork and Track Listing but when I click the CD to play the response is that it "cannot be found". Now the only place that has ALL my music is my iPod. Is it possible to find a way to transfer it back into iTunes. Have spoken to Apple and due to Copyright law they are not allowed to advise me how to do it. There's nearly 40+ years of wonderful music sitting on my iPod and I am frightened of losing it ALL.
    Can anyone help please ???

    iPhones are not backup devices.
Restore the media and other important files from the backup of the computer.

  • Can't copy (sync) music from Mac to ipod classic

When I attach my ipod classic (80gb) to my Mac Book Pro, it shows up in finder and in itunes. When I try to add a song to ipod, itunes says "Copying 1 of 1..."etc in the top center task bar of itunes. But then it's like it gets stuck. Normally it copies in 2 or 3 seconds, but it will look like it's trying to copy, then the ipod will disappear from Finder and itunes, and then I get an error message saying that the ipod was not ejected properly. Yet my ipod still says "Connected". Then I get an error message saying that it's corrupted and to try restoring it. I can still play what is on it, I just can't add anything else to it.
Given all of the other problems I'm seeing on these threads, I'm wondering if this had anything to do with the recent itunes update?

This sounds like an interesting snag - clearly if you can get copied CD tracks onto the iPod there isn't an issue PC to iPod.
I wonder if the inability to copy downloaded music is related to the very clever stuff Apple do to prevent you writing more than seven copies of those tracks? Just a thought - I have no idea how it all works, but it occurs to me it could get embroiled in network stuff?? If you are friendly with your administrator ask them if you can have a go at connecting your iPod to a computer with admin rights, and see if you get a more helpful error message.

  • Transferring music from Mac formatted Ipod to Windows Vista laptop

The hard-drive on my Mac laptop recently gave up on me. Unfortunately I haven't managed to transfer all my music to my time capsule and Apple TV. I've lost about 4,000 - 5,000 songs. I've read various articles and tried a few software applications, unfortunately none have work successfully for me.
I know there are some third party software applications that can sort this out but I was wondering is there any free applications or a manual way I can do it?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

There are several different ways to read HFS+ volumes on a pc. I used to have one but it was for reading .dmg on pc. I did find a program called HFSExplorer that might help you. If you can, I would transfer the music you have to your internal HDD on your Mac using a program like Senuti and then putting it on the iPods HDD using disk mode, then you should be able to read them on the pc usaing the aforementioned program.
    HFSExplorer:

    Senuti:

Senuti has a 30-day/1000 song trial. I'm not sure about the HFSExplorer.
    I hope this helps some!

  • How Do I Get Music From Another Computer That Already Has ITunes/Ipod insta

Here's the story - I have a Video Ipod. I have music on it from my ITunes that I installed on my computer (PC). My sister has her own computer with her own itunes and her own ipod installed on it (same model Ipod and same version Itunes and also a PC). I want her music. I want it on my Ipod. How do I do this?
When I connected my ipod to her computer it said that another user was using Ipod software and that they had to log off before it would recognize my ipod. How do I do this without affecting her Itunes/Ipod settings? Help? Thank you....

I have an old i pod that doesnt work on the cloud when I connect my iphone 5 to my account not all of my music appears

See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device. Last link in the table to the iLounge article is probably all you really need for older iPods, though you'll need to use the iTunes transfer purchases command to retrieve any ClickWheel Games. Once everything is in your library you can add it to the iPhone.

  • Why am i unable to get music from hard drive to play through itunes?

my music is stored on my external hard drive. after doing the lastest update of itunes and putting my music on to a new hard drive. (was on a lacie, now is on the maxtor one touch II) i am now unable to access my music. i have set the advanced preferences to the music folder on the external hard drive and have hit consolidate library under the advanced tab in itunes. neither of these seem to work.
i have put the new library files into the music folder on my hard drive as well.
how can i get my music read by itunes?

To move your Music folder, use these instructions:
iTunes: Moving your iTunes Music folder.
If you can restore the old situation, start from there.
The 'iTunes Music folder location' is not the folder where your music is, but the folder where your imported and added music is stored.
The 'iTunes Library' file contains the links to the individual songs.
Moving the songs, without 'telling' iTunes, looses the links.
You must not move the library files. They have to be on your startup disk.
More info about the library files here:
What are the iTunes library files?
    Hope this helps.

  • How to get music from my old laptop to my itunes

ok heres my problem. All my music was on my old laptop but it broke and i got another laptop and i was wondering if i can go on my itunes account and redown load my music.

You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.

  • Can't transfer all of my music from my old iPod Touch to my new one?

Recently I purchased a new iPod Touch to replace my well-used, three-year-old one.
I would like to remove the music from my old iPod to the iTunes library on the computer, and then sync it on to my new iPod.
Most of the music I wanted to transfer was already in the library, so that was easy to do. However, I have roughly 20 songs that are not in my iTunes library, but are on my old iPod. I have tried and tried to get them into the library to transfer them, but I can't do it.
Is this even possible? How would I go about doing it?

Are these songs ones you purchased from the iTunes Store? If so, the "Transfer purchases from iPod" command under the File menu in iTunes should work. Have you tried that?
If these are not songs from the iTunes Store, you'll need third-party software to get them back into iTunes. Check out this post from Zevoneer for some iPod media recovery options:
