Getting old ABAP dictionary structure in response doc
I'm using the JCO connector with a function module. I added some fields to an existing structure used by the FM and it works fine when testing in Function Builder. When I use it with the link editor, I get the old (inactive) structure in the response document.
Check this link to clear out cached data for BAPI/Function Calls in 11.5
Link: [Calling RFC in xMII;
If you are working in 12.0, I would suggest going to Configure Object and repoint to the same object name and hit okay when it asks for loading request and response documents. If that does not work, let us know and I will research further.
Good luck,
Mike

ABAP Dictionary structure for use in ABAP Mapping
Hello, I'm creating an ABAP mapping class which requires me to use standard ABAP dictionary (table) structures (ex.MARA, KNA1 etc) for the mapping as the data coming into the mapping is in that format. I'm creating the ABAP class in the PI server and do not have table structures (MARA, KNA1 etc) in the dictionary in the PI server. What is the efficient way to create these structures (as Z elements) in the PI server's dictionary?
I have the XSD of these table structures. Can I import those XSDs into the ABAP dictionary in PI servers? If yes, how can it be done? Please help!Yes you can import it as an external definition data and create the data type based on this XSD. Go through the link below for more information on the steps to import and how to use it.

Field in structure 'is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary'
Hi,
I have created an Infoset (SQ01) based on an external program and structure.
These two things are required.
However when I try to generate my Infoset I get an error message for each element in the structure I created in SE11.
The error is:
"<structure_name-field_name> is not defined in the ABAP Dictionary"
Each element in my structure gives this error yet I have defined this in SE11 as a structure and activated it.
These elements are included in my Infoset and as a field group in the infoset.
Has anyone come across this error before and knows how to resolve this problem?
Many Thanks
DavidHey,
I got the same prb.
Just reset the text buffers.

How I create a structure in the ABAP DICTIONARY?
I need a structure for a FORM, how can I create a structure in the ABAP DICTIONARY?
Thanks!!Hi Carlos,
Go to SE11(ABAP Dictionary).
Select the Data Type radio button.
Specify the name for your structure.
Note structure in customer namespace should start with Z or Y.
Press the create button.
Then in the next dialog box select the structure radio button.
Then you will get in to the structure screen.
Give a meaningful description for your structure.
Add the relevant fields and finally activate.

Getting a field's title from the ABAP dictionary

Is there a function module to do this? Can someone provide some sample code?

Simple Transformation to deserialize an XML file into ABAP data structures?
I'm attempting to write my first simple transformation to deserialize
an XML file into ABAP data structures and I have a few questions.
My simple transformation contains code like the following
<tt:transform xmlns:tt="http://www.sap.com/transformation-templates"
xmlns:pp="http://www.sap.com/abapxml/types/defined" >
<tt:type name="REPORT" line-type="?">
<tt:node name="COMPANY_ID" type="C" length="10" />
<tt:node name="JOB_ID" type="C" length="20" />
<tt:node name="TYPE_CSV" type="C" length="1" />
<tt:node name="TYPE_XLS" type="C" length="1" />
<tt:node name="TYPE_PDF" type="C" length="1" />
<tt:node name="IS_NEW" type="C" length="1" />
</tt:type>
<tt:root name="ROOT2" type="pp:REPORT" />
<QueryResponse>
<tt:loop ref="ROOT2" name="line">
<QueryResponseRow>
<CompanyID>
<tt:value ref="$line.COMPANY_ID" />
</CompanyID>
<JobID>
<tt:value ref="$line.JOB_ID" />
</JobID>
<ExportTypes>
<tt:loop>
<ExportType>
I don't know what to do here (see item 3, below)
</ExportType>
</tt:loop>
</ExportTypes>
<IsNew>
<tt:value ref="$line.IS_NEW"
map="val(' ') = xml('false'), val('X') = xml('true')" />
</IsNew>
</QueryResponseRow>
</tt:loop>
</QueryResponse>
</tt:loop>
1. In a DTD, an element can be designated as occurring zero or one
time, zero or more times, or one or more times. How do I write the
simple transformation to accommodate these possibilities?
2. In trying to accommodate the "zero or more times" case, I am trying
to use the <tt:loop> instruction. It occurs several layers deep in the
XML hierarchy, but at the top level of the ABAP table. The internal
table has a structure defined in the ABAP program, not in the data
dictionary. In the simple transformation, I used <tt:type> and
<tt:node> to define the structure of the internal table and then
tried to use <tt:loop ref="ROOT2" name="line"> around the subtree that
can occur zero or more times. But every variation I try seems to get
different errors. Can anyone supply a working example of this?
3. Among the fields in the internal table, I've defined three
one-character fields named TYPE_CSV, TYPE_XLS, and TYPE_PDF. In the
XML file, I expect zero to three elements of the form
<ExportType exporttype='csv' />
<ExportType exporttype='xls' />
<ExportType exporttype='pdf' />
I want to set field TYPE_CSV = 'X' if I find an ExportType element
with its exporttype attribute set to 'csv'. I want to set field
TYPE_XLS = 'X' if I find an ExportType element with its exporttype
attribute set to 'xls'. I want to set field TYPE_PDF = 'X' if I find
an ExportType element with its exporttype attribute set to 'pdf'. How
can I do that?
4. For an element that has a value like
<ErrorCode>123</ErrorCode>
in the simple transformation, the sequence
<ErrorCode> <tt:value ref="ROOT1.CODE" /> </ErrorCode>
seems to work just fine.
I have other situations where the XML reads
<IsNew value='true' />
I wanted to write
<IsNew>
<tt:value ref="$line.IS_NEW"
map="val(' ') = xml('false'), val('X') = xml('true')" />
</IsNew>
but I'm afraid that the <tt:value> fails to deal with the fact that in
the XML file the value is being passed as the value of an attribute
(named "value"), rather than the value of the element itself. How do
you handle this?Try this code below:
data l_xml_table2 type table of xml_line with header line.
W_filename - This is a Path.
if w_filename(02) = '
open dataset w_filename for output in binary mode.
if sy-subrc = 0.
l_xml_table2[] = l_xml_table[].
loop at l_xml_table2.
transfer l_xml_table2 to w_filename.
endloop.
endif.
close dataset w_filename.
else.
call method cl_gui_frontend_services=>gui_download
exporting
bin_filesize = l_xml_size
filename = w_filename
filetype = 'BIN'
changing
data_tab = l_xml_table

OLD RFC export structure being referred to
Hello all,
I am testing a XI to RFC call in PI. The structure of the export parameter was changed after being imported into IR and accordingly I did re-import the modified RFC into IR. The export parameter in IR reflects the latest correct structure. Whereas when I test my scenario, the interface is failing because the response from the RFC is still referring to the old export parameter structure and not the new one.
In fact the response XML has the old RFC export parameter and hence its failing in mapping runtime because its unable to generate the newer version of the export parameter as expected by IR.
*This is the error i am getting.
RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element /ns1:Vista_MR2A_Response_MT/Rows/RECORD_ID. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.AMappingProgram.start*
Can anyone please help on how to solve this problem.
Cheers,
BabsHi,
you also need to refresh RFC cache (by restarting RFC adapter service in visual admin for example)
or by restarting java stack if this will be faster in your case

InfoSource copied from 0BPARTNER_ATTR is not found in ABAP dictionary
Hello friends,
I am migrating 0BPARTNER_ATTR flow from 3.5 to BI 7.0 which has InfoSource.
So i copied update rules and trasfer rules from the existing flow as both have routines.
When i tried to create transformations from update rules, it propted me for an InfoSource and i gave a new infosource name ZBPARTNER_ATTR as it has not accepted the old one 0BPARTNER_ATTR.
So now new flow is as follows: 0BPARTNER_ATTR(DS) - ZBPARTNER_ATTR(IS) - 0BPARTNER(IO).
Now the problem is i don't see this commmuncation structure in ABAP dictionary like the old one /BIC/CS0BPARTNER_ATTR. I expected /BIC/CSZBPARTNER_ATTR. So in the update routine , it is not giving any result for new one.
But i don't have any issues with the similar model for sales statistics( but it has custom InfoSoure ZUC_ISU_01).
Please advise
VNMHi;
It's better if you create direct transformation between DS and IO.
You will save many time in maintnance and the performance is better.

Export Dictionary structure definitions to WSDL or XSD
Hi all,
I need to export some structure definitions from CRM 2007 to a XI instance. I have been told by the XI responsible that the ideal mechanism is that I provide him some WSDL or XSD files so he can import them.
The point is: how do I export my ABAP Dictionary definitions to a WSDL?.
I have tryed to do it already in an indirect way creating an ABAP Proxy, but I always get plenty of errors there and I am sure that has to be a faster and more elegant way to do it.
Thanks in advance, lot of points for the one who solve it ;-).
Best Regards,
Luis V. de P.Hi Gonzalo,
I dont think even if you convert into xsd it will go. The best would be to use XMLAnonymizerBean in your sender communication channel. Please see stefans blog for this:

"The Dictionary structure or table "*C865" is either not active or does"
Hello experts,
I have a transaction - VKOA. I get the following error on executing this t-code. The program used by this t code is SAPL089C.
The error is
Runtime errors SYNTAX_ERROR
Occurred on 11/23/2009 at 05:12:58
Syntax error in program "SAPL089C ".
What happened?
The following syntax error occurred in the program SAPL089C :
"The Dictionary structure or table "*C865" is either not active or does not exist."
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "SAPLSVIM" had to be terminated because one of the
statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.

Edited by: kunal kotak on Nov 23, 2009 6:53 PMHi ,
I will try the solution propesed by Max.
In the meantime, I would like to confirm if there is something related to SAP Note # SAP Note 72121. Refer the following details from the note.
Symptom
When you maintain account determination (FI or SD), you get the error
message:
The DDIC structure or table "*C400" is not active or does not exist.
OR
The system writes a dump with DBIF_NTAB_TABLE_NOT_FOUND, C400 was not
found.
C401 can also appear instead of C400.
Additional key words
Tables C400, C401.
Program: SAPL089C, L089CT00
Transaction: VKOA
Solution as per the note
1. Execute the program RV12A002. On the selection screen, enter Usage C,
Tables 400 to 401.
WARNING: Make sure that you only delete C400 and C401!
Execute the program.
2. Execute program RV12A001. On the selection screen, enter Usage C and
mark 'Reports & Screens'.
Can there be sometihing similar to this for C865 table as well. Just a thought. -
RV13B is not defined in the ABAP dictionary
Hi Experts,
Iu2019ve a requirement to create a smartform,and then save it as a pdf and email. I have all of this done except for one part. At present my email address (for testing purposes) is hard coded as the email address. However I want to automatically pick up the email address to which my form is to be sent.
The email address is found in transaction mn22. The pdf will be emailed to RV13B-PARNR (Partner) based on KOMB-LGORT (storage location). Each storage location is unique.
Iu2019ve put in the following code:
SELECT PARNR FROM RV13B INTO CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE it_vemail[]
WHERE stor_loc EQ KOMB-LGORT.
However Iu2019m getting the error RV13B is not defined in the ABAP dictionary as a table, projection view or database view.
Could anyone give me some help?
Thanks,
Mike.Mike,
F1 Technical help will not give you the table name in some cases.Instead of the table it will refer to the structure.In such a case you need to get the corresponding table for that field either from SQL trace or searching the possible tables with such field using SE84 which requires a bit of analysis in zeroing on the correct table where you can get the appropriate data related to that field.
SE84>>ABAP Dictionary>>Fields>>table fields.
Give PARNR and get the list of the possible tables containing PARNR as a field.If one is aware of the functionality then it will be easier to zero in on the field and the corresponding table from that list.
SQL trace can help you in tracing out the possible tables used by a transaction code.ie if you do a SQL trace on VA01 you will come to know all the possible tables of VA01.
Thanks,

How do i get data from a structure using join?
hi,
what is the actual use of a structure.?
my problem is :
KUAGV is an existing STRUCTURE. it has got one fields each which links to MARA, AND VBKD tables. i want to fetch all related information from KUAGV, mara, vbkd . which is the better way : using joins or views or anything else? how do i
get data from a structure using join?structure temporarily holds any data passed to it dynamically throughout the runtime but doesnot store it permanently. so
a structure cannot be included in a join.so instead of incuding structure KUAGV's field in a join
search the transparent table in which same field are present and use it in join.
A structure if created in DDIC(Data Dictionary) is a global DATA STRUCTURE which is used to group related information, for example you would group all the details of your bank account into a structure BANK_ACCOUNT that contains fields like account_Id, account_holder_name etc.
If you create a structure in your program then it is local to your program. So you use this structure to create data holders of this DATA TYPE to hold data in your program.

Simple Transformation from Adobe Form XML document to Dictionary structures
I have an XML document that I am receiving via email (the XML document is generated from an Adobe Interactive form). I would like to write a simple transformation that will map that XML document to a structure and internal table in my ABAP program. I am new to Simple Transformations and I am having trouble working out how to write a simple transformation for this type of XML document. I would prefer to write a custom transformation rather than using the identity transformation (ID). I would appreciate any help you can provide.
Please refer to the below for an example of the XML file.
This maps directly to 2 dictionary structures that exist within our system containing all of the same components. PIM_REQUEST_HDR has a corresponding SAP dictionary structure Y_REQUEST_HDR and PIM_REQUEST_ITEMS has a corresponding SAP dictionary structure Y_REQUEST_ITEMS.
Can anyone help with some instructions or examples of how to create the simple transformation?

Synchronization JAVA and ABAP Dictionary
Hello all,
I'm going to do some Java-Development and have to call function modules in SAP ABAP (BAPIs) Environment. All the Input and output parameters are defined within the ABAP Dictionary. Do I have to create all these Dataelements and Structures again in the JAVA-Dictionary? Is there no way to generate them from ABAP-Dictionary? I can't believe this!
Thanks for Help!
Wolfgang RitterHi Wolfgang,
Of course you can generate Proxies to call ABAP BAPIs. Within NWDS, follow this menu path: "File > New > Other" In the popup box select "SAP Connectivity", Click next, this starts the SAP Enterprise Connector wizard that will guide you through connect to an SAP system, selecting BAPIs/RFMs and then will generate all the Java Code needed for calling those BAPIs/RFMs.
There is tons of documentation out there for this tool.
Good luck!
