Getting percentages to display and work

I have been having a issue where the user enters a number into the form, for example "23". The user has to enter ".23" instead. Is there a way for the user to be able to just enter "23"? I am using LiveCycle 8.2.1 and have tried just about everything I can think of. I am a novice when it comes to Adobe and would really appreciate some help.

In it what tab of the pattern do I put that in? So far I was using this formula in javascript:

I am not sure that is what I should be using. I used your line but it still multiplies it by a 100. It now just says for example 36% but it still multiplies by 3600 How do I stop that?

Did you try opening from the Applications folder?
Depending on how far that gets you, I would also take a look at the Troubleshooting Basics.

make sure you have selected right option under 'select component'.

Were you using Acrobat IX standard or pro version? Is Acrobat currently installed on your system?

I need help getting my Thunderbolt display to work with Windows 7 through Bootcamp.

I recently bought a thunderbolt display and it works great in my Mac environment. But I recently added Bootcamp and Windows 7 (I need since my Broker Dealer only uses Internet Explorer). Unfortunately, I can't seem to get Windows to recognize my Thunderbolt display. Today, I spent 2 hours with a very kind advisor from Apple Support but we didn't have any success.
Here's my setup:
MacBook Pro (purchased new in 2011) with i7 processor
Thunderbolt Display
Lion OS (all updates installed)
Bootcamp with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (all updates installed)
With the help of Apple Support, I downloaded and reinstalled (through the repair option) all the Bootcamp drivers. I shut down my computer, plugged in the Thunderbolt display, turned it on and booted into Windows 7. When the Windows Welcome screen appears, it shows on my Thunderbolt display for about 2-3 seconds. But the thunderbolt quickly goes black. My MacBook Pro changes to a 640x480 resolution and the Thunderbolt remains blacked out--with no signs of even a single flicker. Once the computer finishes the start-up, my MacBook Pro remains in a 640x480 resolution, with no option to change the resolution (it's grayed out in Windows control panel). If I unplug the Thunderbolt cable from my MacBook pro, the high resolution of my MacBook pro snaps back to normal.
To me, this seems like some type of driver problem but I must be missing something simple because it appears that Thunderbolt works with Bootcamp and Windows 7--based on some of the readings I've found here in the Apple support community. I'm most appreciative of anyone's help here.

TS3477 I can not get my second display to work

HI i have a mid 2010 mac book bro 13", I had it connected to VGA display and now it doesnt display anything or identify the second screen. This happened over night. please help

Maybe the VGA's power supply failed. I've gone through many VGA's where that happens (bad luck?).
Does your vga have a power switch that lights up? Can you feel any heat above the vga monitor? If yes to all of this, check your connections.
Note, these things are not cost effective to repair. Just get a replacement or a flat panel monitor.

Issues with getting to side displays and closing apps

Maybe someone else has had a similar problem or can help advise:
I am on a Windows 8.1 Asus Laptop with a second monitor.
Up until about a week or two ago other than some resolution issues (assume may be my video card) all was ok with Windows 8 and 8.1 update and I was liking the new functionality (like anything new may take a few min, but once you know how things work all
is good).
My problem is the following: starting about 2 weeks ago and is only with my main monitor (My secondary monitor works exactly like it should)
- I can now no longer close apps by clicking and dragging at the top of the screen. Now I need to get to the X button however, I can not get to that X button without clicking on another application which I can only due going to my second screen. I
have tried going to the top right corner, clicking, holding, ect the top bar does not show up
- On my Laptop's main monitor I can no longer get the side Start bars to show up (one on the left shows open apps, the one on the right has the search, Share, Start, settings, ect).
Did Microsoft change something in an update that could have caused this issue?
Is anyone else having this same issue?
Any clue why functionality would work on my secondary monitor and not my primary monitor?
Any suggestions or even key shortcuts that I can use to get to these necessary bars without the mouse that I can use till issue is resolved?

in the case of the AMD catalyst that i have myself you can try detect displays whenever catalyst is opened and also disable itc processing to give your Microsoft certified drivers quality control.
Nvidea has similar options but it is important to know the more you change on the windows options level and driver levels can lead to many issues with a limited understanding.

Getting dual cinema displays to work on single processor G5

I installed the nVidia Geforce 6800 Ultra. I hooked up the twin Cinema displays using the Apple DVI to ADC adapters. I booted up and both screens are black. The video card is getting power. Everything seems fine but monitors aren't working. Any ideas for troubleshooting?

Hi! Does that card support two monitors? I don't remember. Try a PRAM reset. (command option p r ) 4keys down at startup and see if that helps. If it doesn't try one monitor at a time and set the resolution low to something like 800x600 and 60hz. Tom

I have the late 2008 aluminium MacBook. I'm trying to use a 1440x900 monitor as an alternative display for it using a mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter. However, I can't seem to get it working. The monitor either just shows a stock background, or if I use mirroring, it drops the resolution to the same as my MacBook.
Ideally, what I'd like to do, is use my magic mouse and keyboard plugged into my MacBook with the lid closed, but the display appearing on the bigger monitor. Can I do this?

Both is expected behaviour when using external display with your MAcBook.

Unable to get the form displayed in Working Time

Hi,
We are implementing ESS with ECC5.0 on EP6. When I go for Working time and click on Time Statement for a Chosen period .. below it doesn't display me the form needed.
I have checked from the Tx : HRFORMS, the Form Name :SAP_TIM_99_0001 & 0002 are active.
Is there anything else i need to configure at the r/3 end to get that display on portal?

I can load CS3, but it won't let me register it and I can load CS5 upgrade, but when I open CS5 it shows fault and closes. What can I do to get these programs to work on my new computer?

Registration has always been optional, so there is no point in trying. Those pages on the Adobe site are long gone. CS5 crashing is another matter, but without some crash logs and more detailed system information nobody can realyl know. This could be a mundane permissions issue on some files, could be a crash with the hardware acceleration stuff but just the same could be the activation system failing. Impossible to tell based on your limited information.

The "My Ebay" page and the AT&T yahoo changed suddenly and some features are non operative. Also the Google instant search stopped working. All this is happening on Firefox. Everything displays and works correctly on IE. What could be wrong?

Hi, On thursday evening I closed all open windows to do some virus scanning and window washer maintenance. After I was finished I opened up firefox and went back on Ebay and the "My Ebay" window has changed to a totally different appearance and I can't access messages, etc. My AT&T Yahoo email window has also changed its appearance and has selections on it which are new and non operative. They both are now presented as a vertical format and the "My Ebay" window is expanded off the monitor with a blue sliding bar on the bottom and large white areas in the viewing area. I can shrink it down, but I then need a magnifying glass to read it. The opening Ebay sign in window is normal. The opening AT&T sign in window is normal. Also the Google instant search results, which used to appear when I was typing in my search words, has also stopped working. Everything seems to work properly on Internet Explorer. When I double click on the Mozilla icon it takes me to the Mozilla start page and shows me the Google search bar. That is what I normally see. I'm baffled.

(1) Firefox's built-in post-crash page has not been a real HTML page for a long time (for example, from the time of Firefox 22, see: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/968212 Want to save LOTS of versions of "Restore Session.xht" from the "oops ..." page for later use]). If you had this working differently with Firefox 25, that might have been created by an extension.
You can check to see whether extensions are disabled or need an update on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. The disabled extensions cluster toward the bottom of the list. To poll for updates, use the "gear" button above the list and choose Check for Updates.
If you used the Reset feature (or Firefox automatically did a reset due to some problem during upgrading), you will need to reinstall missing extensions. The reset feature creates a folder on the desktop named Old Firefox Data. Do you have that folder? There may be data you can recover from it.
(2) There are many ways for history to get cleared, both internal to Firefox and external. Could you double-check your Privacy settings?

Firefox normally accumulates months of history. However, some of Firefox's database sizes are based on disk space available. If your hard drive is very full, Firefox might reduce the amount of history stored.

How can I get a dual display to work with Keynotes?

I'm using an iMac 24" output to a projector. I want to have Keynotes presentation on the iMac mon while I demo with various softwares, iPhoto, on the projection screen. Basically, I want to run the Keynote presentation and forward the slides on the iMac24" as a reference to the demos I'm doing on the large screen.
Keynotes does not seem to let me do that. It wants to take up both screens.
Help is appreciated.

You are right: When in the presentation mode, Keynote normally wants to use both screens, depending on your Keynote Preferences settings.
Although I haven't tried this, the following procedure might be a way to accomplish what you want. It's worth a try, and at least it can do no harm.
1) In Keynote /Preferences / Slideshow window, check the box "Allow Expose, Dashboard, and others to use screen. This lets other applications use the display on your computer while Keynote is in the Presentation mode.
2) In the same menu, check the button "Present on primary display." This will put the presentation onto your iMac screen.
3) In the Keynote / Preferences / Slideshow window, do NOT check the box "Use alternate display to view presenter information." This means that your slideshow will run, but you will not be able to see the "presenter information" to preview what's coming next. You'll need to run your slideshow by memory.
4) The other applications you want to show on the projector (which you assign as the "alternate" display in the System Preferences / Displays menu) you will need to drag them over to that display before you launch the Keynote Presentation - just as you would do if you were using two monitors.
Others have asked similar questions, so if this works, please let us all know. If you have to "fiddle" with it a bit, please let us know that too.

Getting Xvid to Install and Work

I don't think this belongs here, but I don't know where to post it.
Basically, I'm trying to get QuickTime to work. I'm trying to play videos that my sister gave me from her PC. I get a pop-up window saying to need to install something to make it work, so I go to the link and I end up at the Apple page for downloading components. I click on Xvid and end up here: http://www.xvid.org/Links.13.0.html. Then I click on "Xvid component for QuickTime" and end up here: http://n.ethz.ch/student/naegelic/download/. I didn't know which of the two to install so I tried both at different times and neither of them worked. The videos still don't play. Any help?

You should read this support page http://perian.org/#support in case you need to delete older codecs. In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them). However it should be noted that Perian is not an internet plugin and will not play DivX files imbedded on a website. For that you will need the DivX Player browser plugin available from http://www.divx.com/divx/mac/
