Getting Receive File Name and status of application from Biztalk database.

Hello all,
I want to retrieve Receive file name and status of application (started, partially started) in a stored procedure
querying Biztalk databases.
Please share if anybody have an Idea.
Thanks

Hi Nilesh,
Status of BizTalk application can be obtained using ExplorerOM API provided by product. It's Application class has a Status property that returns one of Not Applicable, Started, Stopped, Partially Started.
using Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM;
private string GetApplicationStatus(string applicationName)
BtsCatalogExplorer catalog = new BtsCatalogExplorer();
string status = "";
try
//connection string to BizTalk management database
catalog.ConnectionString = "SERVER=.;DATABASE=BizTalkMgmtDb;Integrated Security=SSPI";
Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.Application app = catalog.Applications[applicationName];
if (app == null)
throw new Exception(String.Format("Application '{0}' cannot be found.", applicationName));
status = app.Status.ToString();
catch (Exception ex)
//Handle exception
System.Diagnostics.EventLog.WriteEntry("MyMonitoryingApp", "Exception call stack: " + ex.ToString());
finally
if (catalog != null) { catalog.Dispose(); }
return status;
UPDATE: Found the thread from where I got this code. Thanks to Ashwin for providing it.

  • Problem with getting the file name and type from OAMessageFileUploadBean

    Hi Tapash,
    I am trying the code below to get the file name and mime type from OAMessageFileUploadBean,
    DataObject fileUploadData = (DataObject)pageContext.getNamedDataObject("Documents");
    String uFileName = (String)fileUploadData.selectValue(null, "UPLOAD_FILE_NAME");
    String contentType = fileUploadData.selectValue(null, "UPLOAD_FILE_MIME_TYPE");
    But this piece of code gives errors saying that selectValue selectValue(null, java.lang.String) not found in class oracle.svc.DataObject
    Any ideas? why this code is giving error?
    Can i handle the event of browse button for OAMessageFileUploadBean?
    Regards,
    Nagesh Manda.

    Try using class oracle.cabo.ui.data.DataObject

  • How to get uploaded file name and path in BefExportToDat event script

    I would like to get hold of the uploaded file name and full path in the event script "BefExportToDat", as I need to extract values from particular fields. However I have not yet found a way to do this.
    - The input variable "strFile" returns the .Dat file path in the Outbox, to which it is about to export the data. This is no use to me.
    - The API variable RES.PstrFilename is returning nothing
    I am using RES.PstrFilename in the "BefFileImport" event script in a different FDM application and it works fine, however I need to find a way to get this to work in the "BefExportToDat" event script.
    Please let me know how this might be achieved.

    I am looking through the API calls in FDM Workbench, but cannot see the table (tPOVPartitions) you mentioned listed. Is this the correct name? And do I just use the function listed in the object browser to run the query?
    Furthermore (going back to my initial thoughts of using strFile), it appears that although the variable contains the .Dat filename and path, the actual file is non-existent when "BefExportToDat" is executed:
    Error:
    Error: Export failed.
    Detail: File not found.
    This would make sense, but it does make the variable "strFile" a little pointless since one cannot make use of the file in this particular event script. Do you please have any thoughts on this?

  • Copy the latest file (only a part of file name and extension is known) from source to destination (VB)

    Hi,
    I need to copy a file (latest) that is present in Temp folder to AppData/Roaming folder. But I know that the file name starts with "MSI" and the file extension is ".log" (like MSI*.log where * is a random hexadecimal number). Also, I need
    to get the path for Temp and AppData/Roaming programmatically. After copying to the destination, I need to rename the file as well. I am very new to VB Script. How can I do this? Can you please give me some examples?
    Thanks in advance.
    Thanks
    Prasad

    Can you post your script?  What have you done so far.
    I recommend a little research in how to use default folders although they will help onl;y the logged in user.
    Why do you thing you need to do this:  You can always tell the installer to place the log file in a place other than temp.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • Saving documents via Scripts: Get current file name and set save path/file type

    I am writing a script that will:
    -Make all layers invisible
    -Make a layer named "background" visible
    -Delete all the invisible layers
    -Save the docment as an EPS file (leaving the original document untouched)
    I am new to scripts and so have based my script by copying code from other scripts.
    Here is my code:
    var doc = app.activeDocument;
    var name = doc.name;
    var hide = function (){ // hide all layers (based on http://forums.adobe.com/thread/644267)
         var L=doc.layers.length;
         for (j=0;j<L;j++){  doc.layers[j].visible=false; }
    hide();
    // loop through all layers
    for (var i = 0; i < doc.layers.length; i++) {
                  // Create the illusrtratorSaveOptions object to set the AI options
        var saveOpts = new IllustratorSaveOptions();
        // Setting IllustratorSaveOptions properties.
        saveOpts.embedLinkedFiles = true;
        saveOpts.fontSubsetThreshold = 0.0
        saveOpts.pdfCompatible = true
    //Set up Variable to access layer name
              var currentLayer = app.activeDocument.layers[i];
    // Loop through the layers and make the back ground layer visible
              if (currentLayer.name == "Background") {
                        docName = name + currentLayer.name+".eps";
                        currentLayer.visible = true;
    // Delete Invisible Layers (based on http://www.cartotalk.com/index.php?showtopic=7491)
    var myDoc=app.activeDocument;
    var layerCount=myDoc.layers.length;
    for (var ii = layerCount - 1; ii >= 0; ii--) {
        var currentLayer = myDoc.layers[ii];
        currentLayer.locked = false;
        var subCount = currentLayer.layers.length;
        for (var ss =subCount -1; ss >= 0; ss--){
            var subLayer = currentLayer.layers[ss];
            subLayer.locked = false;
            if (subLayer.visible == false){
                subLayer.visible = true;
                subLayer.remove();
        if (currentLayer.visible == false){
            currentLayer.visible = true;
            currentLayer.remove();
    // Save Out Document with New Name
    var saveName = new File ( doc.path + "/" + docName );
    doc.saveAs( saveName, saveOpts );
    Everything works fine except:
    1) It saves the document with the name AdobeIllustratorBackground as opposed to the name of the document
    Also, I am not sure how to tell the script to save as EPS and to specify the save location.
    Could some one give me some pointers?          Thanks!

    Thanks! I changed my code to this:
    var title = doc.name;
    var title = title.substring(0, title.length - 3);
    And it now works! (The substring thing removes the .ai extenion).
    However, how do I get it to save it as an EPS? (I found this script that  saves as PNG, but I am not sure how to adapt it to EPS).
    Also, how do I set the file output path?
    Thanks for any help that can be offered.

  • Newb needs help opening file browser and getting full file name and path.

    Ok, so I'm a TOTAL newb here, but I have managed to get it to open a file browser but all I can seem to get it to do is give me the NAME of the selected file *eg. selectedFile.name* I also need the path of the file as in C:\example\file.mp3.
    The program I'm making plays an MP3 of your choice at a certain time, like an alarm clock. But I got tired of entering the file path of the MP3 EACH time so I wanted to have a browse feature.
    Ideas... help... thanks...
    Nicholas

    you'll need to use air to get the path.

  • Log4j : how to get log file name and directory

    My log4j is working fine. Below is how I define the property file

    log4j.appender.A1.layout=org.apache.log4j.PatternLayout
    log4j.appender.A1.layout.ConversionPattern=%d [%t] %-5p %c - %m%n
    log4j.appender.A1.File=temp/log.txtI want to know, from my java program, how to retrieve my log file "temp/log.txt" because I want to display at console and notify user where to find the log file.
    Thanks

    Or perhaps I did not understand your requirement. Which of the following is it?
    1. Given some Java class, you need to do something with its source code?
    2. Given some file whose path is specified by user input or runtime configuration or compile-time constant, you need to do something with that file?
    3. Neither of the above?
    If 1: Can't do it. Don't need to do it. Don't waste your time trying. Unless you're writing something like a debugger. If so, then if you have to ask this question, you do not have the skills necessary for the broader task.
    If 2: Google for java io tutorial. Study it, try some code, and come back with a more specific question if you're still confused.
    If 3: Explain clearly what you're trying to accomplish and why you think this approach is the right one.

    there is no standard way to achieve this. I suggest a redesign.
    post the files to a different directory and write a script which will move the file to the required target directory only if it is not present there.

  • Get file name and path from  adf inputFile

    Hi,
    I use adf's inputFile component. I need to get the file name and filePath. Does anyone knows how to do that?
    Thanks in advance

    You may bind the value to an UploadedFile object and get the name from this object.
    You may use a valueChangeListener backin bean method or a managed bean.
    Here the code i just write for something similar. Note that i'm not able to test it because of a bug in 10.1.3.1 with inputFile and web.xml parameters. I still waiting for the patch.
    public void uploadedFile(ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) throws IOException,
    Exception {
    final int BUFFER = 2048;
    byte data[] = new byte[BUFFER];
    int currentByte;
    String fileName;
    UploadedFile uploadedFile =
    (UploadedFile)valueChangeEvent.getNewValue();
    if (uploadedFile != null) {
    String mimeType = uploadedFile.getContentType();
    if (mimeType == "application/x-zip-compressed") {
    // get the uploaded file as a zip file
    ZipFile zipFile = new ZipFile(uploadedFile.getFilename());
    // verify the zip archive contains only one entry
    if (zipFile.size() != 1) {
    FacesContext context =
    FacesContext.getCurrentInstance();
    ResourceBundle errorMessage =
    ResourceBundle.getBundle(context.getApplication().getMessageBundle());
    Exception ZipFileContentException =
    new Exception(errorMessage.getString("error.fileUpload.zipFileContent.moreThanOneEntry").replace("{0}",
    String.valueOf(zipFile.size())));
    throw ZipFileContentException;
    // get the entries in the zip file even it is only one
    Enumeration zipFileEntries = zipFile.entries();
    // Process each entry
    while (zipFileEntries.hasMoreElements()) {
    // grab a zip file entry
    ZipEntry entry =
    (ZipEntry)zipFileEntries.nextElement();
    // check the entry is not a directory
    if (entry.isDirectory()) {
    Exception ZipFileContentException =
    new Exception(JSFUtils.getStringFromBundle("error.fileUpload.zipFileContent.isDirectoryInsteadFile"));
    throw ZipFileContentException;
    File destFile = new File(entry.getName());
    Magic magic = new Magic();
    // getMagicMatch accepts Files or byte[],
    // which is nice if you want to test streams
    MagicMatch match = magic.getMagicMatch(destFile, true);
    if (match.getMimeType() != "application/xml") {
    Exception ZipFileContentException =
    new Exception(JSFUtils.getStringFromBundle("error.fileUpload.isNotXMLFile").replace("{0}",
    match.getMimeType()));
    throw ZipFileContentException;
    //TODO get the repository directory from classification-param.xml

    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(destFile);
    BufferedOutputStream dest =
    new BufferedOutputStream(fos, BUFFER);
    // read and write until last byte is encountered
    while ((currentByte = is.read(data, 0, BUFFER)) !=
    -1) {
    dest.write(data, 0, currentByte);
    dest.flush();
    dest.close();
    is.close();
    zipFile.close();
    } else if (mimeType == "application/xml") {
    String currentEntry = uploadedFile.getFilename();
    File destFile = new File(currentEntry);
    BufferedInputStream is =
    new BufferedInputStream(uploadedFile.getInputStream());
    FileOutputStream fos = new FileOutputStream(destFile);
    BufferedOutputStream dest =
    new BufferedOutputStream(fos, BUFFER);

  • Receiver File Name with date

    Hi @,
    I have a requirement where I wanted to genereate the recevier file name as TestYYYYMMDD.txt format.
    Note that in Receiver target structure date is not coming and output file also we dont require date data.
    I tried to put the Date root node and date field in target structure and in Receiver FCC i have not put the Date root node name but still date data is generated in output file.
    Since its a Comma separated file hence I can not use CUT option which is applicable for Fixed length file.
    I used the time stamp option but it is giving HH.MM.SS details which i dont want.
    Is there any other options available.
    chirag

    You can add a node 'TRAIL' with 'FILENAME' sub-node; Your target format is like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:MT_FILE_STRING_OUT xmlns:ns0="HTTP://WWW.XXX.COM">
       <Recordset>
          <Row>3</Row>
       </Recordset>
       <Trail>
          <Filename>DFS-XXX-20090804173307</Filename>
       </Trail>
    </ns0:MT_FILE_STRING_OUT>
    When mapping, the UDF can be:
    (imports: java.text.SimpleDateFormat;)
    SimpleDateFormat sdf = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMddHHmmss");
      String ds = sdf.format(new Date(System.currentTimeMillis()));
      String filename = "DFS-ADSFCL-" + ds;
    return filename;
    In file adapter, you can use the adapter attributes to get the file name and the conversion to cut the trail node in the file...
    Done!

  • Copy file name and info from finder window

    I need to get the file name and file size for lots of files in lots of folders into a text file or excel file. I have found the way to copy the file path into text edit, but can't figure out how to copy all the info in a file window. Is there a way to do this?

    It's easily done with Terminal.
    cd (drag folder into Terminal window, press return). Then:
    ls -l > ~/Desktop/list.txt
    A file called "list.txt" will appear on your Desktop, containing a list of files from the folder, along with their modification dates, file sizes, and ownership/permission info.

  • How to get the trace file name for current running application?

    Hi, I want to know if it is possible to get the file name directly for current running application instance which is launched by javaws.
    There is a property "deployment.user.logdir" tells the log directory, it would be great if a file name property
    is available. something like "instance.trace.file".
    Our application wants it because we would like our client send use the application log by clicking a "send error"
    button, the codes finds the trace file and compress it and send it by using a smtp server.
    In 1.5, we can do it by using a shell program.

    I found other asked it before, but I tried to set both properties, but neither works. my sun JRE version :java version "1.6.0_04"
    <property
    name="deployment.javaws.traceFileName"
    value="abcfefsfdsf"/>
    <property
    name="deployment.javapi.trace.filename"
    value="235235235"/>
    But it always write to one trace file with name lik javaws63645.trace

  • Get the File Name received from FTP Adapter

    Hi,
    How to get the File name reived through the FTP Adpater. I have created a variable with the Message type from ftpAdapterinboundheader.wsdl. from there I mapped the filename attribute to a local string variable.
    But I did not receive the file name. The output in the Audit trail is as follows:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    - <Invoke_File_Process_FileProcess_InputVariable>
    - <part xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" name="InputParameters">
    - <InputParameters xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/db/PIERS/SP_FILE_PROCESS_UPDATE/">
    <AS_DIR xmlns="">I</AS_DIR>
    <AS_FILE_NAME xmlns="" />
    </InputParameters>
    </part>
    </Invoke_File_Process_FileProcess_InputVariable>
    Can any one let me know how to get the recevied file name from FTP adapter.
    Thanks

    you have to define variable of type InboundHeader_msg. Then in receive activity click on Adapter tab and for header variable chose your newly created variable (InboundHeader_msg). Once you receive message from FTP you should see in this variable fileName.

  • File adapter polling and getting the file name 11g Jdeveloper

    I am using JDeveloper 11g. My process is something like;
    A file adapter reads a XML file
    This triggers the BPM process, file content is sent to start activity as message
    I have to get the file name that is read by file adapter.
    How to do that? Any help is appreciated.
    I have seen couple of answers like bellow in forum but did not help me much
    This is a very simple task in JDeveloper 11g, file adapters are linked to the receive activity, here there is a tab called Properties which you can use to extract the file name. Please follow the steps below:
    1. Create a Simple Type variable of string type, call it fileName_var or any name you wish.
    2. Open the Receive activity in your bpel project.
    3. Scroll down to jca.file.FileName and double click on the value column, click on the browse button (...), select Variable, then click the search icon
    4. Locate your recently created variable
    5. Now when your project runs it will assign the file name to this variable, you can use this same approach also to pull the directory, file size, etc.
    *************************/

    hi,
    Like you said.. steps are simple and clearly mentioned in guide.
    1. create a variable of type string
    2. after configuring the file adapter , go to corresponding receive activity , go to properties tab
    3. search for a property with name as jca.file.FileName . This basically keeps track of file name
    4. for this property, give the value as name of variable created in step 1 above
    5. Use this variable anywhere in assign / transform
