Getting report info (report name, selection criteria) from ACTIVE session

hello - trying to get some insight how this can be done for a query that is ALREADY running.
when i spot a long-running query/report in SM50/66, it's easy enough to see what it's doing in ST04 at the DB level (Oracle is our dbms).
then i can look in RSDDSTAT for the userid and timestamp and usually find the report technical name. but if i want to know exactly what selection criteria were used when the user fired off the query (web query usually), then how can i find this info? (other than asking the end user)?

MSS Reporting Workset : Selection Criteria iview

Hi All,
We have a requirement to not allow the Selection Criteria iview of MSS Reporting workset to get displayed, when the user selects a specific report from Reports iview.
Any pointers regarding the issue would be of great help.

It is not possible to avoid the display of Selection Criteria view at the call of a report that is part of MSS Reporting Workset.
The report was called in different workset

Portal Activity Report with Selection criteria

Hi All,
I have created an iview using 'Portal Activity Report' template, added the iview to page and page is added to the role which is created for this report. Also, users were assigned to the new role. When users go to portal and see this report, they are seeing the final output of this report along with the 'Download Report' option.
My requirement is to give selection screen option (Type of report and Reporting period) to users. So that users will change the selection criteria and run the report as per their need. Please advice me on how to do this.

you can do this by creating a webdynpro application for accessing the database tables, the list of data base tables is in this [help |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/48/6aa9429b930b31e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm]document and use web dynpro application to connect to that tables. Get Report Name for Report Painter

Hi Gurus,
I need in an ABAP program to find dynamically the name of a report generated via Report Painter and associated to a TCODE.
I got the tcode.
How i can find it? I find the cluster number in GRRT but i don't know how to convert it in my report name (or even if i'm on the right way)

as soon as the report is associated to a transaction code, it should be in TSTC

You create a parameter transaction when attaching a tcode to a report painter report which gets stored in TSTCP.

Modifing Exiting report and selection criteria

I am Facing some problems. i am using SBO 2004 2B.
1) Is is possible to modify exiting reports?
Can i add a column (user defined or system defined) other than columns which are available in "Form Setting"?
If so how can I?
2) Is it possible to add more criteria on reports selection criteria window?

If you are asking if you can use the Business One SDK to modify existing Business One reports in SAP Business One 2004 ... the answer is that you cannot. There were no reporting objects exposed in 2004A, B or C.
There is some functionality with the Business One 2005A SDK for reporting. You may want to download and look at the documentation on this.

I have a problem.....in form builder I can pickup the current
form name with the help of GET_APPLICATION_PROPERTY
(CURRENT_FORM_NAME) built in, but how do I get the current
report name in a similar way???I want to capture report name and

in zxrsru01, one input i need is the report technical name as the variable logic is only specific to a particular report. the variable however is also used elsewhere, that is why i would like to ensure the logic will only be executed if the executing report is a particular one.

Getting Report Name

Is there a way to call a Windows API that will return the name of the report that is currently running?? Seems Reports doesn't offer any method to retrieve the filename of the executable .rep file during report execution so one can place the name in the headings. Has anyone had any luck doing this without passing the report name in as a parm?, etc.?

You can use the SRW.GET_REPORT_NAME builtin to get the current report's name programmatically at runtime. Please refer the Reports Online Help for further information and examples for using this builtin.

Selection criteria from table PLMZ for component allocation

I need to produce a report for the componenet allocation, my issue is after knowing that i hve to fetch data from plmz, i m stuck,
reason is when i select entries from plmz with criteria plnnr and plnty it gives me more entries then those found when i do a ca03, can anyone please guide, wat i m looking for is exact number of entries and then the material and bom info, please point me to the right direction,

As Mr.Prasobh u have to join MAPL-PLMZ-PLPO tabls with matarial, Plant combination where LOEKZ is not equal X
For BOM ITEM , Name u have to add to More table STPO, MAKT. The flow is as follows,
1.First u can start with MAPL.
input Field: MATNR - your Header Material
                 WERKS - your BOM plant
Outfield for Next Table. PLNTY,PLNNR,PLNAL,LOEKZ (Not equal X).
2. TABLE: PLMZ
    Input Field: PLNTY,PLNNR,PLNAL,LOEKZ,WERKS ( from previous tables)
    output Field : STLTY,STLNR,STLKN, PLNFL.
3. Table: PLPO
     Input Field: PLNTY,PLNNR,PLNAL,LOEKZ,WERKS.
   output field :VORNR,MEINH,BMSCH,
4.Table: STPO
    Input Field:STLTY,STLNR,STLKN (From table PLMZ )
    output field: IDNRK,POSNR,POSTP.
5.Table MAKT.
    Input Field: IDNRK
     output field : MAKTX.
what i have given is a flow to fetch the data. Try it with abab`rs to develop report.
i hope the above tables give most of fields which you need   in ca03 (com all view).

How to get the list (vector) of selected channels from the portal

I try to retrieve the selected channels from the portal to use them in my script. I use "DataCheckChnls". Is it possible to convert it to a vector, to use it after in in for next structure.
I would like to do specific calculus for each selected channel. Must I use another method ?

What you get is an array of strings containing the channel name. In standard use these names are unique and could be transfered to a channel numbers with the CNo command. Try this code to understand this:

If you realy need the numbers as array you can build a function to do this based on this code:

I am newer in OIM and developments with the API's.
I have this environment,
one resource that have the attribute department
relationship with the database row
UD_RESOURCE1_DEPARTMENT and other resource with the same attribute in, UD_RESOURCE2_DEPARTMENT
I am programing one java class that put values in the
form field through the table name, sample,
UD_RESOURCE_DEPARTMENT.
I let some code:

Is this the correct way to store data in a form?

Copy selection criteria from quotation to Sales order

Hi Experts,
I am creating a quotation. For the quotation line item, i am going to batch determination. Then i am clicking the SELECTION CRITERIA button. It gives me the batch characteristics screen. There i am entering the values to the characteristics. While coming back to sales order screen, i am copying only the SELECTION CRITERIA ( i am not copying the batches ).
I am creating a sales order w.r.t the quotation. I want the selection criteria of the quotation line item to be copied into sales order line item. How to proceed for this?
I checked the copy control in VTAA. But i am not able to find any configuration to copy a Quotation line item "SELECTION CRITERIA" to a sales order line item.
Is this possible via a configuraton or thorugh any user exit?

Reports - adding selection criteria as part of output

Hello,
We are on ECC 5.0.
My business users would like to have the following on all R/3 reports, extracts and printouts:
The company code, the period selected, the filters or parameters selected, the title of the document/report/extract, the currency and type of currency of the document.
Has anyone ever had such requirements? Any idea on if this is possible? Any workarounds would also be welcome.

for your own reports (beginning with z and y)and queries this should be no problem. Create a program, which makes your demanded heading, and include it to your reports.

I have some issue on the use of the report painter. I have a field which is profit center and when i use the f4 function it displays all values. What I want is to limit the displayed values based on user roles. Is it possible? How can I do this?

1. Instead of going for this kind of approach,
   (ie, filtering values based on role, on
    the display list itself),
we can go for the approach which sap follows.
2. Dispaly all list (without any filteration or roles & rights)
Then while processing/taking any action,
   use AUTHORITY-CHECK
to check, if the user has right
for that VALUE or not !
3. Eg. a company has rights for just one company,
   ie. 1000
   SAP program will display ALL companies,
   but at the time of processsing/action,
   it will use AUTHORITY-CHECK
   to check if the user has right for 1000 or not,
and accordingly give message or proceed further.
