Getting rid of leading whitespace in headings

Hi,
I got some leading whitespace before my heading numbering, just curious if there's any way to get rid of those? I tried setting some negative values here and there in "Indents and Spacing" but that didn't work.
I've attached a screenshot to explain. The leading whitespace has been highlighted in green.

Not necessarily custom. There exist fonts that have a "1" like in the sample gif, f.i. Corporate S, too.
Yeah, that's an OpenType feature. I just learned that myself. "Paragraph Style Options" > "OpenType Features" > "Figure Style" > "Tabular Oldstyle"

  • How do I get rid of leading zeros.....

    Hello...
Here's what I am trying to do....
    1. I get a file like below
    00000000000.00 00000000000.00 00000036092.80
    00000000000.00 00000000000.00 00000000240.00
and more lines depending on the how big the files are(possibly to have 1 million records)....
All I am trying to do here is getting rid of the leading zeros in record like below(they are amount of dollars)....
    0.00 0.00 36092.80
    0.00 0.00 240.00
What would be the best way to do this, assuming it will not clog the system.
    Thanks,
    Jay

  • Getting rid of leading zero using display string.

    I have a formula:
    If {BillHeader.SalesTax} < 0 then
    formula = Replace(CStr (-1 * {BillHeader.SalesTax}), "$", "") + "CR"
    else
    formula = Replace(CStr ({BillHeader.SalesTax}), "$", "")
    end if
I need to change this formula so it won't show a leading zero.
    ex:
    0.00 to .00
    0.47CR to .47CR
    etc..
I don't have much experience with VB or crystal code.  Since this is in the display string I can't use the number formatting.  Any ideas? Thanks for the help!

    Here is one solution:
    1.  Comment out the display string code.
    2.  From the menu, choose "Crystal Syntax".
    3.  Copy and paste this formula.
    If currentfieldvalue < 0 then
       if split(Replace(CStr (-1 * currentfieldvalue), "$", "") + "CR",'.')[1] = '0' then
          '.' & split(Replace(CStr (-1 * currentfieldvalue), "$", "") + "CR",'.')[2]
       else
          Replace(CStr (-1 * currentfieldvalue), "$", "") + "CR"
    else
    if split(Replace(CStr (currentfieldvalue), "$", ""),'.')[1] = '0' then
       '.' & split(Replace(CStr (currentfieldvalue), "$", ""),'.')[2]
    else
       Replace(CStr (currentfieldvalue), "$", "")
PS:  In your first formula, you are using sales tax but in the second post, you are using amount due, not sure which one it is, but if the formula is on a display string the above should work.

Have you tried to get rid of that mystery account via Mail's Preferences >Accounts window: selecting and and clicking the "-" key? If so, what happens?
If that doesn't work you should be able to edit the .plist file for Mail and remove it from there. First, download Pref Setter and install it. Then, go to /Users/<your username>/Library/Preferences and scroll through the list until you find com.apple.Mail.plist and Option-drag it to your Desktop to create a copy.
Now open the original .plist file in the Preferences folder (the one you just copied to your Desktop) using Pref Setter and type "accou" in the search box at the top right; this will narrow your results to four items; we're only interested in the one labeled "MailAccounts".
You will need to click on the disclosure triangle to find the mystery account, since they are all listed with the account name. When you find it, select the Item number for it and press the large Delete key on your keyboard to delete it; this will then change the numbering for all the remaining accounts. You can Save the file and quit Pref Setter.
Restart Mail and go to Preferences >Composing and look for the line that says "Send new mail from:" and use the popup menu next to it to choose "Account of last mailbox viewed". This means that whichever mailbox is used to view an email to, that is the account chosen automatically to send email from. So if you husband read an email to him in his account and he wanted to reply or send a new email, his account should be the one used to send. Likewise for you.

    Hi MyAppleID99,
You may want to check to make sure the clip hasn't been moved back and forth between wide screen and standard aspect ratios; sometimes a combination of letterboxing and pillarboxing can lead to a black frame "windowbox" when playing the final video. You may find the following article helpful:

  • How do I get rid of jagged, pixelated halo around type in Dreamweaver?

    Dear Dreamweaver Forum,
I am studying the essential series of video tutorials on Dreamweaver CS3 via Lynda.com.
I am also currently, slowly but surely, putting together a website to function as a resume, cover letter and portfolio all in one.
I am currently in the middle of creating headings and images that will function as rollover buttons.
I currently have a problem with a jagged or pixilated halo appearing around type I'm creating in Illustrator CS3 and placing into Dreamweaver CS3.
The process I’m using so far is the following:
In Dreamweaver CS3, I’m using div tags. I will place a div tag on a page. I will then move it to the desired location on the page and size it to my needs.
I then take .gif file of type I created in Illustrator CS3 and drag it from the files panel and to the web page I’m working on. When I do this, I notice a halo around the type (please see inserted image below).
How do I get rid of this jagged or pixilated halo?
I created the type in Illustrator CS3 and then go File > Save for Web and Devices. In the 4-up dialog box that appears, I then save the type as a .gif file.
    Please see images below:
    Thanks for your help!

How do I get rid of this jagged or pixilated halo?
Don't use transparency! GIF and 8bit PNG only allow one transparent color, resulting in frizzled edges with antialiased content. If you know the type goes on a black background, save it with a black background....

  • I have discovered FahCore_a4 running, how do I get rid of this pest?

I thought at one point it would be a good idea to try 'Folding at Home' from Stanford University. I ended up saying forget it, and I thought I had uninstalled it from my 2010 MacBook Pro. Shortly after what I thought was the uninstall, the computers fans would run loud all the time. I never knew what was going on, until today when I decided to look at the activity monitor to kill a different program off that was frozen.
This is when I noticed FahCore_a4 running my CPU at some crazy 300% or higher. No wonder my computer has been running hot for months. I can force quit this thing but it comes back within a minute. There seem to be a few other things associated with it, such as 'FAHClient' I can grab a sample of this process /usr/bin/FAHClient...how do I go about getting rid of this thing for good? Can anyone help me?
    T

    Hello!!
If you still have this problem:
I had the same problem with the Folding @ Home application. Seemed pretty neat at the time huh?
    I found an uninstaller here:
    https://foldingforum.org/viewtopic.php?nomobile=1&f=16&t=24574
At the bottom of the page, there is an entry that leads to an uninstaller. Or: Here: Uninstaller
Install the program and it will remove all signs of F@H. This includes the pesky FahCore_a4 as well as all affiliated items. Restart your computer if you want to be sure!
This worked for me, I hope it does for you!

  • Getting rid of Multiple Spaces in Code View (after Copying/Pasting)

    Hello,
I'm trying to find a way to get rid of multiple spaces between words in Dreamweaver CS3's code view.
Oftentimes, when I copy/paste text from elsewhere (e-mail, website, etc), the Dreamweaver code shows up with multiple spaces. Normally, that wouldn't be problem -- except that my blog's auto-tag plug-in doesn't detect selected phrases when there are multiple spaces between words, e.g., it'll detect "Swiss Alps" in a post but not "Swiss  Alps" (notice the extra space between words in the second phrase).
If at all possible, I'd like to be able to keep Dreamweaver's text formatting option when I copy and paste, as that means I don't need to manually put words in bold/italics.So, is there a way to keep that option while getting rid of all the extra spacing between words?
By the way, I'm familiar with Wordpress CSS, but not with Dreamweaver CSS. Not sure if there's any difference.
Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I make it a point to never paste formatted text into HTML pages.  Formatted text from MS Office usually contains a variety of junk you don't want and I don't have that much faith in MS Word code removal tools.
Bold and Italics from Word or Outlook should be changed to current HTML tags of <strong> for bold and <em> or emphasis for italics anyway.  Also see Logical Tags here:
    http://www.htmlcodetutorial.com/logical.html
Find and replace is good for removing whitespace if you know how to do it correctly. Make backup copies just in case things go wrong.  http://www.tjkdesign.com/articles/whitespace.asp

  • How can I get rid of jaxws-engine threads after processing asyncHandler?

    Hi,
this question evolved from forum thread
    [t-5404241]
In the current JAX-WS 2.1 (from Netbeans 6.7.1) implementation I see the following behaviour / bug:
If you use the async Jax-WS API (AsyncHandler and Future) to send a SOAP request, there will be a thread named jaxws-engine-xx-thread and one unnamed
thread generated by Jax-WS. Both threads stay running for 60 seconds after the soap response is processed.
This leads to high memory consumption, if requests are made often.
Is there a way to stop these threads?

  • Can't get rid of weird Japanese ads on Samsung Galaxy Tab 4

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4, and one of the first weeks I started using it, this Japanese Assistive Touch type thing appeared, but wasn’t connected with an app I could uninstall to get rid of it. But after a couple weeks, it disappeared without my noticing (or doing anything to cause it to go away). But now (from about several weeks ago) I have started getting these popup ads. However, they are all in Japanese, which leads me to think the Assistive Touch and these ads are connected somehow. When I have accidentally clicked on the ads they try to get me to download their apps (which all have very suspicious permissions). But now I can’t figure out how to make them go away. I have run scans through TrustGo AntiVirus, AVG AntiVirus, Clean Master Antivirus, TrustGo Ad Detector, and Lookout Ad Detector multiple times, and all of them after an initial scan and clear (which only gave basic things and didn’t solve the problem anyway) have told me my system is clean, even though I am still getting the ads. I have run Clean Master’s Junk Files scan, and in the results under the “Obsolete apks” heading, were three apps with Japanese titles, and the words Not Installed underneath them. I told Clean Master to “clean junk”, and the apps disappeared from the list, but the ads were still appearing. Next, I tried running my device in Safe Mode to see if I could pinpoint the problem to a third party app (even though Clean Master had classified them as Not Installed). When I ran it in Safe Mode, I clicked through all the apps available, and no ads appeared. But when I restarted it in Normal Mode, I clicked through all the same apps from Safe Mode, and still no ads appeared. It was only when I went to a third party app that the ads appeared. I went to several third party apps, and ads popped up on almost all of them. However, I’m not sure what to do to now to try to get the ads off. Any suggestions? I would like to avoid doing a factory reset if at all possible.

Not technically, no, but around the beginning of when I got my tablet in
July, an Assistive Touch type thing appeared, but I didn't download it.
That was also in Japanese, but I couldn't figure out a way to delete it.
However, it somehow disappeared without my noticing or doing anything about
it. I feel like they're connected. So the issue's been going on for longer
than from the last app I downloaded. I haven't removed any apps yet to test
    it though.

  • Can't get rid of prefixes in Table of Contents

Doing a table of contens for a book with 12 chapters. Mostly it works fine but one thing I can't get right: most of the entries work fine but some appear with prefixes, as in "Ch_5:102.
I can't get rid of them. I have gone to the made sure that no prefix is entered in the numbering options for that chapter. I have done "Update Numbering" several times.  What else can I try.
I'm also confused about how to select the correct TOC styles for different headings in my chapters. In the chapters, I have styles "Heading One" "Heading Two" etc. and I want to associate them with styles TOC One, TOC Two, etc. but I find it a bit confusing.
