Ghost download animation when launching browser.
When Firefox is launched the animation indicating a completed download is activated every time (this is the semi-transparent box that fades into the Download icon on the toolbar).
This happens without any active downloads, and with all external plug-ins and add-ons disabled. Running on OSX 10.8.5. No new files appear in the drop-down list in the browser or in the download folder.
I'm wondering is this is some type of infection and what I might be able to do to test or disable it. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

I get this message when launching browser in Photoshop CS 3
I just got a new macbook pro which I allocated 401 GB on my bootcamp partition for windows xp, and I put Photoshop CS3 (windows version) onto this partition of which approx. 80 - 90 GB is used space while the remainder is free space. I also put my photo folders/files onto this partition, and when I launch Photoshop, I get this dialogue box when I click on "File " > "browse" (See image).
When I launched photoshop on my old laptop (HP Compaq Presario X6000 running Windows XP) I never got this kind of message - is something wrong
How do I fix it so I don't get this message?

Animation when launching app is lagging (not smooth)
Since upgarade my iPad from 4.2 to 4.3.1, the launching amimation for the app is mot fluid as before. I tried to reinsall the FW but the problem persists
Have you tried restoring the iPad firmware via iTunes?
How much free space is left on your iPad?
Make sure you have a full backup of the data on your iPad, then try resetting iPad by going to Settings > General > Reset and choose the option to delete all content and settings. Does this help? If it does, do not restore the original backup via iTunes. Instead, tell iTunes this is a new iPad and select the content you'd like to sync. -
Firefox downloads a ".php" file when I browse certain websites. I'm on a Mac and running OS X 10.6.4
Firefox is automatically downloading ".php" files when I browse certain websites.
Without permission, it just simply downloads the files and prompts me to indicate the program I would like to open the file with.
I work for a school district and Firefox 4 was installed in 4 other computers and it did the same thing with all of them.
I then reverted to the previous version of Firefox and continued to have the same problem.
Please adviseHold down the shift key when you launch an app in Lion to "discard previous windows".

Javascript error when launching XFA pdf from browser
Hi all,
I am trying to use my XFA PDF from a browser. On my local system I have set up a web server and am launching my PDF from there. However, I am getting a ReferenceError with regards to one of my Javascript functions.
My PDF has dependency on a javascript file that resides in the Acrobat path as follows:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Acrobat\Javascripts\
When I use my PDF directly from an Acrobat instance, everything works fine. The issue comes up only when launching from server. How do I link the javascript file to my PDF?
Edit: The user is going to be launching the PDF from the server via a web browser. In such a case where do I place the javascripts?

My JS code contains a readFileIntoStream which I learnt is also to be run under privileged context. (still learning the ropes here.. ). I have been trying to incorporate the JS code directly into the PDF to get around this privileged context.. but I am unable to find a non-privileged equivalent for readFileIntoStream..
Basically my users would be accessing the PDF from the server direct via the browser. For my testing purposes I am able to run the PDF directly from my desktop via an Acrobat instance without any hitch as the scripts are folder level like you mentioned. Is it possible for the users to be able to access the javascripts from anywhere on the server rather than directly from the PDF? Please note, users will not be saving copies of the PDF on to their local machines (in which case we could have pushed the JS file along to their machines) . I need to ultimately run the PDF from browser.

When attempting to download, in the Launch Application panel, it says ..."this link needs to be opened with an application" and shows send to "CC URI Handler", but also Choose an application. How do I get past this point, as neither option seems to work?

I downloaded songs from a cd and when I try to play them with windows media player I get this message The license cannot be downloaded because your Web browser is not supported.

You can use a different player than the Windows Media Player to play the songs if you copied them from a CD to avoid that. -
My mac downloads aspx files when i browse?

Browser size when launched from Forms Builder
Hi, Does anyone know how to set the size of the IE browser when launched from Forms Builder? I have set the width and height setting to 100% so that the applet takes up all the browser space, however the browser is still not as large as I'd like.
When I start IE on its own, it opens in the desired size, it's only when running it from Forms Builder that it's too small. I've searched on the net, but nothing seems to work, there must be a setting specific to Forms?

SamIf you are using SeparateFrame = True, then you might try using these in your When-New-Form-Instance trigger:

If you are not using SeparateFrame = True, then you may have to use JavaScript in the page where your applet is located. Javascript can also go in your formsweb.cfg file. See:

Launching Browser from Java when Browser URL is very long
Hi,
I am trying to launch a browser from Java.
I am doing the following.
String command = "cmd" + "/c" + "start" + " browserURL";
Process p = Runtime.getRuntime()exec(command);
Note: My browserURL is very long.
Now the browser is invoked. But the URL shown is incomplete and hence
browser is unable to open the required application.
Can someone help me in this.
One way is to increase the buffer size on the command prompt?
Is there any java command for this?
Is there any other way to solve this issue.

LMSInitialise error from ADL when launching captivate course

I have seen several users talking about getting LMSInitialise error when launching course using ADL SCORM 1.2 test suite
We are also getting the same errors. We use same setup to test our otehr SCORM conformance pkgs. So I dont think its a set up problem
We are using captivate 4.0, on windows xp. SCORM 1.2 comformance test passes fine. And course launches fine too. Just gives LMSInitialise error
Any helpThis issue can probably be solved by changing your Flash player security settings:
Get some Flash content playing in your browser. Any Flash animation will do. Go e.g. to www.adobe.com.
Right-click on the animation, you will get the Flash context menu. SelectSettings.
You will get a little menu.
Click the Advanced button. This will bring you to an Adobe Web site.
In the table of contents on the left, click Global Security Settings Panel. This will show you a panel.
Add the location where your ADL TestSuite software is installed to the trusted locations. The location of the TEST SUITE software, not the location of your zip file or your content files. Those get copied automatically to a TestSuite subfolder when you run the test.
Close all your browser windows and re-run the test.

Prompted 'Warning' when launching Photoshop Elements 8
Please help! I had downloaded Adobe Elements Inspiration browser (Trial). But when i tired to launch it, there would be a pop-up that said, 'Warning, The Elements Inspiration Browser works best when launched directly from your Adobe Elements Software. Please open Photoshop or Premiere Elements 7 and open the inspiration browser from there.
Does that means that i have to download Premiere Elements 7? Kindly advise.
