GL account mass maintanence problem
Dear Gurus,
I need to change 150 GL accounts simultaniuosly and apply the tick on relevant to cash flow for all these accounts. I have gone to code OB_GLACC12, but there is no field of relevant to cash flow on the screen. I chose the select fields option and selected the relevant to cash flow field from the options. but the field is not appearing on the main screen.
can anyone give me a solution on this.

Dear i have already done that. but the same is not reflecting on the main screen.
now i just checked on IDES. when i go to view and choose fields and bring the field relevant to cash flow from pool to the selection criteria, at the bottom of select fields options there are 4 buttons viz, continue, select all, deselect all and cancel.
in the dev server however there is no button for continue. there are only three buttons. i tried hitting enter. but not working.

Owning 2 iphones with one Apple account has = Sync Problems. iTunes is thinking my old iphone 4 is the same phone as my iphone 5C. When I plugged in my iphone 5C it auto synced my 5C to iTunes and it wiped my 5C and restored it to the same content as is on my iPhone 4. This is a big problem since my 5 year old has been using the iPhone 4. It's all Mickey Mouse and Backyardigans. (Total photo/app/contacts loss)
I was able to update the 5C and restore from a 3 month old backup that is actually the content from the 5C but now when I plug in my 5C it wants to "setup as new phone" or "restore from backup" What's going on? I'm afraid to choose either option.
How can I get iTunes to see these devices as 2 and not one?
Can I use my Apple ID on both phones still or is this the problem?They were both displaying the same name in iTunes. I changed the name of the iPhone 4 before the 5C was plugged in but it still went ahead with syncing it to the 4's data.

One of the skype account has a problem
one of the skype account has a problem when the telemarketer agent makes over 75 calls on line, he gets an error message saying that he needs a subscirption. The account name is transfer2231.
We want to know why is this happening and what can be done.

I'm having probelms backing up my information to my iCloud account. I tried to reset the account and erase everything in my account but the problem is still there. The problem is that my iPhone is not able to complete the backup process and all it is saying a problem occured.
Someone Pleas let me know how to reset my account, delet everyhting in the Cloud and start a new backup.

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
First check that your device is correctly connected to the wifi/internet (settings > wifi)
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
If this doesn't help, try turning off some items for back up in a pattern to try to establish if your problem is being caused by specific data on your device.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

I recently upgraded to an iPhone 5 and I have this synced with my previous iCloud account. My problem is my old iPhone 4 is taking up 2.5 GB of space in the cloud. Is there a way to delete this iphone from the icloud so I can free up space as it is not needed anymore?

Assuming you have finished with your old backup.....
You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage...... -
I have an email account causes the machine to hang up after being in use for a day. It only occurs on my Macbook Pro and only one particular account. The problem account works fine on my iMac and Windows Machines. I have been to the local Genius bar and through trial and error we have determined that Mail is working ok but somehow the account is causing the problem. I have used this account for years. Any ideas what is causing this?
No idea why, but one thing you may try if you have the time, is create a new user, and set up the problem mail account in the new user space. See if it causes your MBP to hang as well. That will tell you if it is something wrong with your main User, or something wrong with MBP.
Assuming this works, I'd nuke the problem account in your main user space, re-start, and reinititate the account and see if that helps.
Depening on how many email accounts you have setup, it may be necessary to nuke the whole Mail folder in your User/Library.... Hard way to get it to work, but just my idea. -

First I have multiple email account formats,e.g., 2011 MacOutlook, 2008 Entourage, 2007 Window Outlook, iPhone Exchange and these are all connected to the same account. The problem is I had up to 15 contacts for the same person.
I deleted the Entourage contacts as that seemed to be the program that was causing the problems. When I synced this morning, now all my contacts are gone from every where.
How can I restore to my last back? If I restore, it will ask to restore to the back that was just made… which has no contacts?

I recently put money on my itunes account but the problem is when i went to purchase music the credit card information needed to be deleted and i forgot the answers to my security questions what do i do? I was told by a friend of mine that all i had to do was call apple support and i would be able to re start the secruity answers.
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, and filling out and submitting this form.

When I was assigned my ".me accounts I used the name of the company that I worked for. Then I received a iCloud account. The problem is I want to change the two original names but can't because they're greyed out. Is there anything I can do?

I have Mail with 5 accounts. The problem is that one of them is constantly active, that is, with the moving wheel showing a search for new mails, while the others accounts are not active.

Would not take the moving wheel as indication that account is active. There could be other reasons for it. From the menu Window, choose 'connection doctor' that will show you how each account has connected. Next, from the Window menu choose 'activity veiwer' that will show you exactly what activity is causing the moving wheel. -

I have an iMac osX snow leopard (newest version) and strangely since some months, strangely when i tryed to open firefox it started crashing, firefox 3 and firefox 4 beta, i open them and in 5 seconds they crash.
Strangely enough on another account on my mac firefox WORKS perfectly, and it seems it's only crashing on my account, i even used cleanmymac and appzaper to clean totaly firefox files and re install it.
Please help me i can't stand chrome going so slow with 10 tabsThanks Sig for getting back to me. I really do appreciate it! But I'm not sure how erasing my drive is going to help. And besides, my problem is that I can't even boot to my original Tiger install DVDs anymore. I'm unable to execute any kind of boot-level command -- including holding down "c" key to boot from the drive, holding "T" key to go into Target Disk Mode or holding down "option" in order to bring up my bootable partitions!
Holding down any of these keys after the boot chime simply causes the screen to go black and then hang. The DVD drive will show it's being read from but nothing ever comes up.
Since I can't boot to my install DVD, there is no way for me to access the Disk Utility to erase my hard drive. Do you see the problem?
I am able to boot to my Windows 7 DVD, since I was able to install that to my old Tiger Partition, but I don't see how using my Windows install DVD would help me to re-install OS X.
I need to figure out why none of my boot-level opterations are available. If I was able to boot to my original Tiger discs (or any OS X DVD) than my problem would be solved, but I can't do that!

Two iphones on one itunes account...problems galore..help wanted!!
My wife and I both have an iphone and are delighted with it except for this problem..
I bought mine first (phone 1), set up itunes and had no problems, it synced nicely, i downloaded music etc and ll was going well... the App store also work fantastically... my wife, based on my success (and the fact that her nokia N97 was pants) decided to get herself an iphone (phone 2). When signing up the contract in store we were told that "just, plug the phone into the laptop if you already have itunes and itunes will reognise it as a second device and act accordingly...." WRONG!!!
What actually happened was that the new phone, synced with itunes with all my details and lost all of my wifes phone numbers she had entered onto it, it got worse, after deleting all the numbers that she didnt want and putting her phone book back as she wanted it, she synced it again, this time itunes took the details from her phone and stored them in itself, next i came along and synced my phone and lost all my work numbers, all my music too and ended up with my wifes details.... Now when i access the App store i have to enter her password.. sometimes.. sometimes i have to enter my own and sometimes neither will work and i cannot download anything at all. Its all become one big mess...
I want an expert to untangle this mess for us as, at the moment i no longer sync my phone at all for fear of losing all the details again so of course im not getting the most from my phone. I phoned teh geek squad and they said... when you start itunes just hold down the CTRL button as you launch it and it will start a second account... it did but im sure that has added to the problem.
Im no itunes expert but need this sorted to enjoy the device the way it was intended...
Please help...Sorry things haven't worked the way you expected. You can sync as many devices as you want to the same itunes account, selecting under the various tabs what you want on each device and itunes will keep it all straight upon subsequent syncs. It appears you may not have properly selected what content you want on each device. To sort this out, start by reading this article on syncing. Most of your questions will be answered in that article. Post back after reading with specific questions related to specific content.

I have been using an iPhone and iPad to access my work emails via our MS Exchange server for a number of years now with no problems at all. I recently replaced my home PC with an iMac (first Mac I have owned) but cannot get it to communicate with the exchange server. I've checked and re-checked the information on the iMac and my iPad - I even deleted the mail account on the iPad and input the details concurrently with setting up on the iMac - but the Mac will not access the exchange server.
I receive the message "The Exchange server "---------------" rejected the password for user "------" Enter you password again or cancel." I am using the correct password. iPad and iPhone are logging on using that password fine. iMac just ends up repeating this message.
Our IT support at work assure me that there is no reason from their end for it not to work, and reasonably point to it working using the iPhone etc.
I'd be extremely grateful if anyone can provide a solution to this basic, but extremely frustrating, little problem.iPhone and iPad use a different way of accessing the server.
I don't know the exact details, but we are using Zarafa instead of Exchange and have the same problem:
iPhone and the likes can connect to Zarafas z-push interface, which is some identical interface to the native Exchange interface, while the desktop e-mail application tries to interface with the web front end (via http) of the server.
These are completely different setups and it depends on the actual installation of the server to get this going.
So, you will most likely need different access parameters for the desktop - and the web mail feature has to be enabled on the Exchange server.
In my opinion using the web mail interface is just silly. On the other hand, the native protocol has less features comparedto the web front end, so you are somehow stuck with sins of the past.

Ipod not being recognized...Windows XP Mass Storage Problem
I'm like many of you who installed the new Itunes 7 and is having the same connection problems. My 30g video Ipod will not be recognized on my laptop and itunes. I believe my usb cord is working properly because when I connect my ipod into the laptop it charges.
I've tried everything that was said on this forum: the five r's, disk mode, updating drivers, etc.
But I was wondering: I have the iCarPlay FM Transmitter Has anyone noticed, that when they connect their ipod into it, a error pops up on the screen: "USB Connection and Firmwire are not compatible"...something along that line. And now when I connect my ipod, the sound is absoultely terrible! It only comes out of one speaker in my car. My friend owns an ipod nano and hers works perfectly with my transmitter.
Now my other question: I don't see my ipod in the device manager...but I do see is Mass Storage Controller highlighted with a big yellow exclamtion triangle. I click on it and try to install from the ipod cd and nothing happens, I can't even uninstall it. Do you think that's my ipod not working?
Also, I've tried connecting my ipod to my two computer desktops and it's not recognized either and I also tried connecting my ipod to my sister's Mac computer and nothing happens.
Any other suggestions to help my ipod? When the heck is Apple going to respond with a new update?

After that, go into Device Manager, right click on your iPod and reformat it (FAT32). After this go into iTunes and Restore your iPod.

I made an In-app purchase of WORDsearch Bible, Thompson Chain Reference Library on March 18, 2013. I tried to download the purchased item on my iPad2 but was unsuccessful even though my account with iTunes stores was debited almost immediately I completed the purchase. I've always found that if you've entered your password to purchase or update in the last 5-10 mins that you don't get asked for it again - I think this should be optional for app store purchases but definitely for in-app purchases if they allow kids to rack up extortionate costs.
I hope Apple can do the right thing for you.
£69.99 is a ridiculous in-app purchase cost. Do you know what the app was?
