How can I test the log in state from in side the Operator Interface code.

From inside LabVIEW Full OI, I want to test if the operator logged in after the IApplicationMgr Start.
Right after the IApplicationMgr ‘Start’ I have a loop that tests the IApplicationMgr ‘LoginLogoutRunning’ state and waits until the LoginLogout call back is done.
I want to exit if the program if operator canceled the login and did not log in.
I have tried “GetEngine” ref. From there get the “CurrentUser” ref but seems not to contain any information about the Current User.
How can I test from my Operator Interface code logged in state of the application?

Try Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege
For the string parameter 'privilegeName' enter Priv_UserLoggedIn or the string value "*".
"Priv_UserLoggedIn–(Value: "*") Use this value with the Engine.CurrentUserHasPrivilege method to determine whether a user is logged in."
Option 2: You could also setup a callback on application manager for UserChanged Event. If the User is null then the login was canceled. (see a copy of the help further down)

PO Interface Code Transport

I am starting this discussion to get details about Code transport. We have built our Interfaces Codes (SLD, ESR, ID, etc) in a temporary Environment and we would like know to transport this code to the DEV server of the customer. Can you please suggest which best way facilitates this

Looking for Web2Py or Python interfacing code to DI Server

Dear All,
I am looking for a Web2Py (python) code sample that can interface or talk with DI Server of SAP B1 say through win32 python API SOAP interface.
Some sample to get me started in the right path to connect to DI server, login and access simple SAOP service.

I don't know if you'll find an exact sample here - you might be lucky of course, but I think it's a bit specific.
Instead, I would focus on learning the two separately; look on google for some examples of writing SOAP interfaces using Python and then also do some DI server examples.
The Python I can't help with, but for DI server you can check the SDK helpfile and go to Developers Guide -> DI Server and then under this you have lots of good sections:
System Messages: Shows how to login and get the session ID
Data Manipulation Messages: Shows how to add/update/remove objects in the DB
DI Server application gives instructions on how to set it up.
Hope it's useful, might be worth keeping thread open to see if anyone has done this before though

}Do not implement your method in the main method. It is not allowed to declare a method inside another method, maybe this is the reason for your problem.

Trouble starting Gpib interface(code 10)

I am getting touble with the interface, in the measurment and automation tool, when i tried to scan for the instrument then it checks for the software and says ok and for the hardware it says ok but it says it failed because of the interface hadnt started (code10).. I really dont know how to solve the problem, i appriciate your help, and my phone number is 301 975 3789.

Microsoft describes the error as: "This code means that the device failed to start (for example, it is missing or is not working properly). To resolve this error code, make sure the device is attached to the computer correctly. For example, make sure all cables are plugged in fully and that all adapter cards are plugged into their slots fully."
What GPIB hardware are you using?. What OS? Make sure you are using the lastest driver for your Hardware/OS combination. Check the drivers at Gpib Driver updates.
Try installing the interface in another PC to determine if there is a hardware problem with the GPIB interface.

Adobe Form called from SAP Portal, not executing interface global init code

Hello!
I have an adobe form called from both R/3 and SAP Portal and I need to show long text dinamically calculated.
The deal is at the SAP Portal execution, as scenario characteristics don't allow string definitions, I'm using 255 characters tables (QISR_TAB_TYPE), that I'm trying to convert inside form interface (Global init code).
The problem is that the interface global init code is being executed when the form is called from R/3, but it is not at SAP Portal.
Does anybody know how to manage this? It's kind of a problem that the BAdi method int_service_request_init doesn't allow types over 255 characters... and if it is not possible to access the form interface code section (maybe there's any way)... i need to find some code section where i can convert tables before the form context is filled!!

[JS/CS4/CS5] Catching a selection event in a ScriptUI interface.

I've got this ScriptUI interface (javascript based), and now I wonder if it would be possible to change one of its button captions depending on whether anything is selected or not, in the active document (would also have to be updated if the user selects or opens another document).
1. Is it possible to write event listeners for this?
2. Would it be possible to include this in the same script as the rest of the Script UI interface code (that is, I'd prefer avoiding a separate file in the startup folder).
3. What's the best source of information regarding events, which ones there are, and how to handle them in javascript?

1. Yes. The selection events work well in my experience.
2. Yes, you don't have to add them at startup. You can do something like:
app.addEventListener("afterSelectionChanged", selectionChangedFunction);
before you open your window. Remove the listener in the onClose event of the window. I think you'll have to have some error trapping in the selectionChangedFunction to deal with app.selection erroring after a document close or during a revert.
3. See this thread for an extension that lets you see events as they're happening.

I am using the TestExec User Interface editor mode, in the SequenceFileLoad callback from my sequence an instance is made from a C# code module
(the code module is located in another dll) , this reference is stored into a station global variable.
Now I want to retrieve the reference from the station global variable in my TestExec User Interface code.
So, is it possible to get this reference back from the station global variable?

Reading the StationGlobal is not a problem. But the problem maybe that your reference contained in your StationGlobal is probably not valid once the SequenceFileLoad has completed its execution which it will have done once the SequenceFile has loaded.
Any references you wish to pickup are best down via one of the ProcessModel callbacks such as ProcessSetup.

Deploying EJB with Local Interfaces.

HI everybody
I am trying example on EJB with LocalInterfaces with BMP.
My bean without Local interface is deployed and working fine.
Then i have changed Home & Remote interface code. Again i have deployed it . It is deployed but i am unable to Look Up.
I am using J2SDKEE1.3 server & JDK1.3.
I have changed both interface files as follow:-
I have made my Home interface as :

I have made my Remote interface as :

In JMS tutorial : They have stated ejbCreateLocal method.
I am not using this method in my Bean class. I am using general ejbCreate method as we normally do .
I am really confused about these methods : ejbCreate & ejbCreateLocal.

Can someone please tell me what can interface is?

On the question sheet I found in my brothers stuff there was a question about completing some interface code, but I've got no idea what an interface actually is, as near as I can tell its a list of methods that a class has. So is it like a contents page of methods that you can call?
Also, here is the question on the sheet.

In the last 2 weeks I've learnt some much about java just from answering these questions on this work sheet. I'm starting to feel that I actually understand what to do and I'm enjoying it a lot more now, Before I was just throwing lines of code at the compiler and hoping for the best.
