GL Interface Journal

I am new to Oracle and the boss has given me a project to reconcile the GL Interface to our Billing Journals. What I need to know is just where does the data on the Interface come from (what is the criteria)because it seems pretty "here and there"....skipping dates, etc.
Thanks!

The date in to the interface comes from the feeder modules. This can be a oracle product or a inhouse pluged in product. The source and category name will help you to identity the origin on data. Also all details is stored in table GL_INTERFACE like reference to your billing system ID.

  • Interface Error Handling

    Hi Experts,
    I am doing an Interface, Journal Upload for Transaction FB01 (F-65).
    I have to check the following ERROR Handlings.
    1. How can I find out a profit Centres is blocked for posting?
    2. How can I find out a GL Accounts are blocked for posting?
    3. Incorrect VAT code is allocated.
    Please explain me clearly.
    Thanks & Regards
    Rajendra

    Hi rajendra,
    if you are using bdc, for uploading data, then the transaction itself will take care of raising the errors in case of erroneous data.
    If you are able to get that eror message when you are doing the Fb01 transaction manually, the bdc will also result in the same error messages.
    You hace to use an internal table of type bdcmsgcoll to collect such messages.
    call transaction 'FB01' using it_bdcdata options from xctuparams messages into it_bdcmsgcoll.
    loop at it_bdcmsgcoll.
    call function 'FORMAT_MESSAGE'
    exporting.
    importing
    message = lv_message.
    write:/ lv_message.
    endloop.

    Zakeer look into this link , -http://odiexperts.com/?p=1096 . Hope this helps.
    also before running Can you right click on the Source Datastore and click on Journal Data and can you see the data ? and if still the data is not passing through ,in that case make temporary objects t- yes in LKM , IKM and debug and see at which step data is not flowing through and look if there is any filter or condition which is stopping it .
    Still not able to figure out please tell us which step the data is not flowing through we will try to guide you.

  • How to Refund the Payment

    Dear Experts,
    We Sold 5000 INR Item to Customer and Received the Payment and Interfaced Journal Entries & Posted in GL, Later Customer Return the material and we have to Refund the Payment.
    Please any one tell me how to do refund in this case...
    Thanks
    Bharath

    Hello Bharath,
    Here is one way of solving your issue:
    At this moment, the customer account is zero. You should:
    In AR, issue a Credit Memo to the customer
    DR 5000 INR (Sales)
    CR 5000 INR (Receivables)
    In AR, issue a Debit Memo to the customer
    DR 5000 INR (Receivables)
    CR 5000 INR (Clearing Account)
    In AP, create the customer as supplier and enter an invoice for him:
    DR 5000 INR (Clearing Account)
    CR 5000 INR (Liability)
    Issue a check to the supplier
    DR 5000 INR (Liability)
    CR 5000 INR (Bank)
    Post everything to GL, all acounts are balances.
    Hope this helps,

    GL_INTERFACE_CONTROL TABLE 설명
    =============================
    PURPOSE
    GL_INTERFACE_CONTROL table에 대해 알아보도록 한다.
    Explanation
    gl_interface_control table은 gl_interface 까지 data가 넘어 온 후 journal import program 수행 시 에 data 가 insert 되어진다.
    즉 interface 만 완료 후 journal import 를 수행하지 않았을 경우에는 아무런 data도 생기지 않는다.
    (ap의 경우 transfer parameter option에서 'Submit Journal Import'에 check 하지 않았을 경우에는 data 가 생기지 않는다.)
    Status Column 은 다음과 같은 code를 가진다.
    Status Meaning
    P Indicates the source is available to be used for an Import.
    Sources that have a status 'P' are not currently being imported
    and have not been selected for processing by a pending import.
    S Indicates the source has been selected for processing by
    Journal Import.
    I Indicates the source is currently being processed by
    Journal Import.
    Example
    Reference Documents
    Note 1060932.6

    Can you try to use to_char for Interface run id as shown below
    ln_reg_id := fnd_request.submit_request
    (application => 'SQLGL', -- application short name
    program => 'GLLEZL', -- program short name
    description => NULL, -- program name
    start_time => NULL, -- start date
    sub_request => FALSE, -- sub-request
    argument1 =>to_char( l_iface_run_id), -- interface run id
    argument2 => fnd_profile.VALUE ('GL_SET_OF_BKS_ID'), -- set of books id
    argument3 => 'N', -- error to suspense flag
    argument4 => NULL, -- from accounting date
    argument5 => NULL, -- to accounting date
    argument6 => 'N', -- create summary flag
    argument7 => 'N' -- import desc flex flag
    );

  • AB Type Documents

    Can we post AB type documents using  'FBS1' or 'FB01'.   Is there any T-code which allows to post AB type documents.

    I feel we need some clarity here - the document type is configurable, and therefore "AB" may not be the same at every site.  Also, what are you wanting the FI document you are posting to actually do - just a simple DR & CR to GL accounts, or an intercompany journal, or a mixed vendor / customer clearing?  Typically the choice of transaction, not document type per se, will be more important... plus your site may have non-system business rules that drives the document type you should select e.g. "YA" might be used for customer refunds at Site 1, and "YA" might be used for an interface journal at Site 2 ... check with the functional / business team.

  • Automating Cash Journal Posting using inbound proxy interface and upload program

    Hi Experts,
    I have a requirement where in cash journal posting needs to be carried out automatically by an inbound interface on a periodic basis and at the start during cut over an upload program needs to be used to upload beg balance data . For this purpose I have used BAPI_CASHJOURNALDOC_CREATE to save cash journal entries along with BAPI TRANSACTION COMMIT.
    Once the Data is successfully saved I am using FM FCJ_GET_DATA_FOR_SCREEN to get prerequisite data for the FM FCJ_POST_ALL which is used by the Standard cash journal program internally to post the saved data. ( I got this by debugging the standard transaction and both FMs are not yet released )
    The issues I am facing is that the the FM FCJ_POST_ALL does not always post the data it behaves in random fashion i.e some times it posts the entries where as sometimes it does not post the entries.
    I have tried using commit work after the FM but that also does not result in consistent behavior of the program. One more issue is the i am not allowed to use commit work in a an inbound proxy so how do i proceed ?

  • Using journalized data in an interface with aggragate function

    Hi
    I am trying to use the journalized data of a source table in one of my interfaces in ODI. The trouble is that one of the mappings on the target columns involves a aggregate function(sum). When I run the interface i get an error saying "not a group by expression". I checked the code and found that the jrn_subscriber, jrn_flag and jrn_date columns are included in the select statement but not in the group by statement(the group by statement only contains the remiaining two columns of the target table).
    Is there a way around this? Do I have to manually modify the km? If so how would I go about doing it?
    Also I am using Oracle GoldenGate JKM (oracle to oracle OGG).
    Thanks and really aprreciate the help
    Ajay

    'ORA-00979' When Using The ODI CDC (Journalization) Feature With Knowledge Modules Including SQL Aggregate Functions [ID 424344.1]
         Modified 11-MAR-2009 Type PROBLEM Status MODERATED
    In this Document
    Symptoms
    Cause
    Solution
    Alternatives :
    This document is being delivered to you via Oracle Support's Rapid Visibility (RaV) process, and therefore has not been subject to an independent technical review.
    Applies to:
    Oracle Data Integrator - Version: 3.2.03.01
    This problem can occur on any platform.
    Symptoms
    After having successfully tested an ODI Integration Interface using an aggregate function such as MIN, MAX, SUM, it is necessary to set up Changed Data Capture operations by using Journalized tables.
    However, during execution of the Integration Interface to retrieve only the Journalized records, problems arise at the Load Data step of the Loading Knowledge Module and the following message is displayed in ODI Log:
    ORA-00979: not a GROUP BY expression
    Cause
    Using both CDC - Journalization and aggregate functions gives rise to complex issues.
    Solution
    Technically there is a work around for this problem (see below).
    WARNING : Oracle engineers issue a severe warning that such a type of set up may give results that are not what may be expected. This is related to the way in which ODI Journalization is implemented as specific Journalization tables. In this case, the aggregate function will only operate on the subset which is stored (referenced) in the Journalization table and NOT over the entire Source table.
    We recommend to avoid such types of Integration Interface set ups.
    Alternatives :
    1.The problem is due to the missing JRN_* columns in the generated SQL "Group By" clause.
    The work around is to duplicate the Loading Knowledge Module (LKM), and in the clone, alter the "Load Data" step by editing the "Command on Source" tab and by replacing the following instruction:
    <%=odiRef.getGrpBy()%>
    with
    <%=odiRef.getGrpBy()%>
    <%if ((odiRef.getGrpBy().length() > 0) && (odiRef.getPop("HAS_JRN").equals("1"))) {%>
    ,JRN_FLAG,JRN_SUBSCRIBER,JRN_DATE
    <%}%>
    2. It is possible to develop two alternative solutions:
    (a) Develop two separate and distinct Integration Interfaces:
    * The first Integration Interface loads data into a temporary Table and specify the aggregate functions to be used in this initial Integration Interface.
    * The second Integration Interfaces uses the temporary Table as a Source. Note that if you create the Table in the Interface, it is necessary to drag and drop the Integration Interface into the Source panel.
    (b) Define two connections to the Database so that the Integration Interface references two distinct and separate Data Server Sources (one for the Journal, one for the other Tables). In this case, the aggregate function will be executed on the Source Schema.

  • Account error: value does not exist in BB Company is displayed when Uploading a Journal to Oracle ADI Interface Table

    Environment:
    Oracle ADI version: version Oracle ADI 7.2.12.04.25 and patch number 9493800
    Microsoft Office version: 2003
    How to recreate incident:
    1. Create a budget worksheet for a company
    2. View the budget information
    3. Upload budget information to the Interface Table
    Actual Result:
    Account error: Value <value> for the flexfield COMPANY does not exist in the value set BB_COMPANY. I have noticed the same error is displayed regardless of whether I select options from the combo boxes or enter random numbers in the journal i.e. 0000 for each field.
    Expected Result:
    Budget information to be uploaded successful especially when the data has not been amended
    Questions:
    1. What is happening to cause this problem?
    2. What is the solution?

    The issue is resolved, no need to answer, the dbconnection class was calling the wrong db :(

  • Journal data --- for multiple interfaces

    hi,
    i have a source table.
    i want to capture the journal data on this table.And use the data stored in the "jv$ tables" in multiple interfaces.
    The multiple interfaces have same source table and are linked in a package.
    Is it possible to achive it.

    Yes.
    Just have one extend window / lock subscriber at the start of the package, run all the interfaces you want to on that Change data before finishing the package with a Unlock Subscriber / Purge Journal step.

  • Interfacing LabVIEW with Meta Morph Journal

    Hi
    I'm just starting a project where I must fully automate an experiment involving a microscope and a microfluidics manifold. I am planning to use LabVIEW to control the manifold and Meta Morph Journal to program the motions of the microscope stage and I'm wondering if it's possible to interface the two (i.e. have one talk to the other to coordinate the actions).
    Thanks

    Hi Shaheen,
    You can get started by followind this tutorial which explains how to add your instrument so that MAX can see it and establish communication with the device.

  • Open Interface Table for iExpense Template

    Where can I find the table name of the Open Interface for uploading master records of GL, AR, AP, FA? I can only find the name to upload journal entries and AR, AP Invoice. Can someone advise me where can I find the open interface tables list for master records?
    In particular, I would like to upload the Expense Item Template for Internet Expense of AP. I want to update the items by SQL Loader. (not the entries or transactions but master records of existing item code in the Expense template)
    Thank you very much.

  • Can't view changed data in journal data

    Hi,
    I have implemented JKM Oracle 10g Consistent Logminer on Oracle 10g with the following option.
    - Asynchronous_mode : yes
    - Auto_configuration : yes
    1. Change Data Capture -> Add to CDC, 2.Subscriber->subscribe (sunopsis),
    3. Start Journal
    The journal has been started correctly wothout errors. The journalized table has always the symbol "green clock". All is gook working.
    And then i inserted 1 record in source table, but i can't view changed data in journal data. I can't understand why journal data was generated.
    There are no errors.
    Help me !!!

    Did your designer was on the good context ?
    Look the list box at the top right of the Designer interface.
    You must have the same as the one where you define your journalization.

  • Chaneg data capture--interface unable to capture the changed data

    hello,
    when i add a src table to cdc and start a journal,
    i am able to view the new insertions into the source table ,in journal data of the table.
    but when i run an interface the journalised data isnt getting updated in the target table.....
    but there is no error message comming up ...what do i do ?

    Hi,
    when you create interface and check mark the Journalize Data Only, there is a filter created on that datastore with JRN_SUBSCRIBER name. Make sure this subscriber name is same as the SUBSCRIBER that you have mentioned when you registered subscriber on the Datastore. If these two are different, then you will not be able to fetch data. Check the SNP_SUBSCRIBER table to get the subscriber name for the datastore/source table and in the filter give the same name.
    Let me know if it is working...
    Regards,
    kk
