Global Scheduled Services Failed in EPPM 8.3

Hi,
I have been trying to configure Primavera with BI publisher. Everything works fine except for a step which requires administrator to enable the GLOBAL SCHEDULED SERVICES option and RUN either one immediately. Each time i tries to Run either one of the Global Schedules Services, it always fails. I have tried it many times over an d over, even with new installation still it fails again.
Anyone could help with this? How to successfully run the GLOBAL SCHEDULES SERVICES?

You can review the below Doc Id on MOS and see if that helps

    Hi,
I have been trying to Integrate BI PUBLISHER with P6 EPPM 8.3. At one stage it requires administrator to select either one project and choose "PUBLISH PROJECT" option. Each time i tried to Publish a project, the status always fails. Is there anything i need to do in order to successfully Publish the Project Successfully? I have also Enabled the "Publish project" options in Application Settings under the Services Section.
    Anyone can help on this?

    Hi Hamsa,
Did you also create and configure an "Execution Destination"?
You can test the Metadata destination configuration on Web Service Navigator.
On the web service navigator (http://hostname:portnumber/wsnavigator) search in the metatda destination you have created for the service you imported in web dynpro as a model. If you can find it there test it on the ws navigator.
    Best regards,

  • KM Scheduler Service Properties

Hello experts. I am trying to build a scheduler service in KM that runs an RFC, retrieves some data and stores it into KM once a day. To do this, I tried starting with JCA but that did not work so I ended up using the IConnectionFactory framework and it does work. However, in using that, I have to put the SAP system values and the User ID/Password in the connection properties. I do not want to put this in the code so I wanted to create properties exposed in the System Config -> Knowledge Management -> Content Management -> Global Services -> Scheduler Tasks -> My Scheduler Service. That way, I can maintain those properties there and use them in my code. However, since I do not have experience with the Scheduler Service, I do not know how to expose and read those properties. In a regular component, I would put it in portalapp.xml but it does not seem to work for this one. So, could someone guide me on where to put those properties and how as well as the Java code to read them in at runtime.
    Would really appreciate any help.

I just noticed the exact same thing. It turns out that the httpd-ssl.conf file on my system is still the old v2.2 syntax, which means that the SSLMutex directive is still in there. This is an invalid directive after 2.2.
This is where things get interesting. At first, I simply thought I had forgotten to merge httpd-ssl.conf.pacnew after apache had been upgraded to 2.4. However, when I check my pacman.log, it appears that httpd-ssl.conf was never upgraded when apache went to 2.4 - (2.2.26-1 -> 2.4.7-1). There was never a pacnew file generated to be merged.
I took a look at the apache package via the abs and the "proper" httpd-ssl.conf is certainly in there, so why pacman never created a pacnew file is a mystery.
Anyway, to fix this: pull the httpd-ssl.conf from the apache package, either from your cache, using the abs and building it, or (I think) pacman may re-install it if you move the file to a backup location (not sure about this). Then merge your original httpd-ssl-conf with the new one.

Instead of installing SQL server instance you selected add node which is to be selected when SQL server installation is to be made on Node which is being added to cluster. Since your OS is not clustered I am sure you selected worng option.
Please right click on setup file and select run as administrator. Now installation window which pops up on that on left hand side select
installation and then on page that appears select 'New server standalone installation or add feature to existing installation'.
You already have SQL server 2008 installed on your machine as per feature discovery report

    Hello,
If you see error descriptioon it gives access denied so basically it is because of some access issue.I guess You must be using some domin account for installation make sure it is  added as local administrator also instead of using NT Authority network
service  as SQL server service account use local system account .
    Below link would help
    http://serverfault.com/questions/212135/access-is-denied-error-installing-sql-server-2008-on-windows-7
You can also browse to setup.exe file and RK on it and select run as administrator

  • Email notification or remedy ticket creation if BI services fails

    Hi All,
we are using OBIEE 10.1.3.4.X version as our production instance.
we want to set up email notification for a group if any of the BI services fails ( presentation services, Javahost service, Scheduler service etc ). We have 2 unix servers where we check the current status of above services.
Can anybody provide me information to do the same in Unix. I heard like we can write Unix script and that can be placed in Unix box to meet above requirement. Was any body faced similar issue, any body have successfully implemented to your projects.
How will you get notified if you are suing obiee 10g in your projects
Please let me know your thoughts.
    Regards,
    Yuva

    Hi ..
Above mentioned weblinks gives information on OBIEE 11g. We are using OBIEE10g.
It would be helpful, if anybody provides information on getting email notification if any of BI services fails. I guess, as all the BI services are maintained by Unixbox, we need to write Unix script for the same.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • Essbase registration to Shared Services failed - Hyp 11.1.1.3 on 2 Win XP

    Hi All,
I have Hyperion 11.1.1.3 installation on two XP Pro machines. Pure system, with no global policies, firewalls, etc. My users are in Administrators group. Computers are not in any domain also.
On first server (called HypTSerwer1) there is: Foundation (Shared Services Web Application and OpenLDAP Service)
On second server (called HypTSerwer3) there are: Oracle DB (10R2) + Essbase Services Server 32-bit
I've configured Shared Services, I can log as admin to Shared Services Console without any problem. Validation report contains all greens.
But when I try to configure HypTSerwer3 (essbase) I get: Register with Shared Services Failed. Validation report contains one failure in Hyperion Foundation (
EXT: External Authentication Check Native Directory external authentication provider configuration

Recommended Action: Check Shared Services Configuration
)(OpenLDAP is green and runs fine)
    In HypTSerwer3 in C:\Hyperion\logs\config\SharedServices_Security_Client.txt I found:

The part connect to  at 28089* looks strange for me, as it sugests, that there is no server name, only port.
I really don't know what to do next. I reinstalled it many times, checked if all services are running. Deployed it with Tomcat or WebLogic 9.2. And always with the same result. When I install everything in only one machine, than it is working fine.
Thanks for any help or suggestion.

Just out of interest why have you used OAS as it is pretty much dead product now and is not used in future releases.
Anyway I am not sure why you have closed ports between those servers, you will end up spending a lot of time trying to open all the required ports between the servers.
Can you not get all the ports open for a time just to check it definitely is a ports issue.
It is probably also worth checking the following spreadsheet out - http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/bi-foundation/epm-components-communications-fd-11-128629.xls
It highlights the ports used in communication.
    Cheers

The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details.

    Hi Mohit,
    Thank you for replying.
It was not an issue with RFC destination but to do with transfer of outbound delivery processes to SAP global trade services.
As we were not using global trade services, we had to deactivate the transfer of data from SD application to global trade services.
The settings are under IMG>SD>foreging trade>SAP global trade services-plug-in> control data transfer to SAP global trade services
    Deactivate all the activities.
Now this issue has been resolved.
    Thank you again for replying.
