  • In BADi , How to pass the values between two Method

    Hi Experts,
    We have two methods in BADis. How to pass the value  between two Methods. Can you guys explain me out with one example...
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sivakumar S

    Hi Sivakumar!
    Create a function group.
    Define global data (there is a similiar menu point to jump to the top include).
    Create one or two function modules, with which you can read and write the global data.
    In your BADI methods you can access the global data with help of your function modules. It will stay in memory through the whole transaction.

  • How to pass value between two forms.

    Hi all,
    how to pass value between two forms(using :parameter),...
    Thanks
    Rajesh

    To use parameters, create a parameterlist with the named parameters
    DECLARE
      pl_id PARAMLIST;
      pl_name VARCHAR2(10) := 'tempdata';
    BEGIN
      pl_id := Get_Parameter_List(pl_name);
      IF not Id_Null(pl_id) THEN
        DESTROY_PARAMETER_LIST(pl_id);
      END IF;
      pl_id := Create_Parameter_List(pl_name);
      ADD_PARAMETER (pl_id,'MYPARAMETER',TEXT_PARAMETER,:BLOCK.VALUE);
      CALL_FORM('MYNEWFORM', NO_HIDE, DO_REPLACE, NO_QUERY_ONLY, pl_id);
    END;In the new form you can then just access the parameters via :PARAMETER.MYPARAMETER;
    An alternative is the usage of globals:
    :GLOBAL.MYPARAM:=:BLOCK.VALUE;
    -- call the emp-form
    CALL_FORM('MYNEWFORM', NO_HIDE, DO_REPLACE);and in the new form use:
    DEFAULT_VALUE(NULL, 'GLOBAL.MYPARAM');
    IF :GLOBAL.MYPARAM IS NOT NULL THEN
    ...The advantage of gloabls is that they can also return values back to the calling form, which is not possible using parameters

  • Problem exchanging values between a Servlet and Thread???

    Hi Everybody,
    I have got a problem exchanging values between a Servlet and a Thread...
    The actual thing will go like this
    I take a request from JSP which is served by a servlet..
    A thread is invoked in the servlets into which the parameter values taken from JSP page is sent...
    In between the thread needs to be suspended for a moment, relieve the control back to the servlet and then come back with the new values modified in the servlet...
    How is this achieved?
    Please give ur suggestions regarding this...
    Thanks in advance

    I really have no clue how you can use URLConnection to do that!
    Could you please explain in the following scenario how it can help me as an alternative solution to the following:
    Non-Servlet A continously running & saving to some prop regularly
    --> servlet B reads prop file regularly --> display continously on a jsp file
    I wish I could do a servlet A --> servlet B-- > display jsp scenario but I do not know how to have servlet A continously running while keep the servlet B interacting with the jsp.

  • Awk - printing a value between two matching regex [SOLVED]

    I'm trying to write a script to parse a single line output, but to then only display the value between two matching regex.
    I have got it to only display the value between the matching regex, but then it carries on and displays the rest of the line. How do I tell it to stop once the matching value has been printed?
    ARTIST=`awk '/Artist/,/Artist/ {gsub(/Artist/, Artist); print}' /home/sapphire/.foobar2000/track_info`
    This produces 'Akira Yamaoka Title She Title Album Silent Hill 1 OST Album CurrentTime 0:03 CurrentTime TotalTime 2:01 TotalTime' rather then the desired 'Akira Yamaoka'.
    So I guess I'm asking how one would go about terminating the above awk command? Thanks - I know, it'll be something simple - but I'm not experienced with scripting

    No problem, and thank you for the help so far
    This is what's written each time I update my playing track, no more, no less:
    Artist Akira Yamaoka Artist Title Silent Hill Title Album Silent Hill 1 OST Album CurrentTime 0:04 CurrentTime TotalTime 2:51 TotalTime
    Single line only, as the plugin won't break up the text into anything more than the one line

  • How to share/exchange songs between two iPods?

    Hi,
    I would like to know of a way(s) to share/exchange songs between two iPods (synced to two separate computers).

    Apu,
    It's possible to share between two computers but not two iPods, change the settings for the pod to manual > Edit > Preferences > iPod.

  • Global variables to share data between separate programs.

    Hi guys and gals,
    On the advice of a lv consultant, we've used an array of global
    variables to share data (about 100 variables) between an acquisition/control
    program and a consumer program (datalogging) running on the same PC. This
    worked fine in the development environment. However it no longer works when
    the two programs are compiled. Is there a trick to get this to work or do
    we have to use datasockets or DDE to move the data.
    In case you're wondering the idea of two separate programs is to
    separate the critical control and data acquisition functions from the less
    critical but more likely to error datalogging functions.
    Regards,
    Alf Katz,
    [email protected]

    There are several solutions:
    1.) Use VI Server available in LabVIEW 5.1 and Up to provide a communication
    path between the two executables.
    2.) Use a data file to transfer the data between the two executables.
    3.) Use a TCP/IP connection there are several examples included with LabVIEW
    showing the mechanics of this.
    The simplest method is Number 1. Using the VI server, you open the
    connection and then retrieve the data form the Global VI based on the
    Parameter Name. It is very fast and requires very little processor
    overhead. Make a driver to Open the connection then a Read to get the data.
    Do not open and close the connection everytime, there is a lot of overhead
    in the Open connection call.
    Make sure you configure the VI Server within the development environmen
    t.
    Also you must include a few statements in the Executables INI file to
    correctly enable the VI server capabilities.

  • How Do I Pass A Value Between two Spry Tabs?

    I am using the Adobe Spry framework to develop an webpage
    with 3 tabs. I want to be able to pass a value between tabs.
    More specifically...
    In Tab1, the user will click on a link that declares a
    variable called "groupID" with a value of "999"
    Tab 2 Should then open up and have "groupID" available for
    use. It will be used as a hidden form field.

    I think I get what your talking about.
    Thing to remember is that all the data is loaded on the same
    page still so you can just pass it over like you would using JS.
    I did a little example let me know if this is what you are
    looking for.
    You will see that I added a function at the bottom that will
    tell spry what panal to open as well as pass your "groupID" the
    function is call on the onclick even.

    I've to check for 8 more columns so please suggest me with a better approach.
    I appreciate your precious suggestions.

    Hi,
    Thanks for posting the CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements; that really helps!
    Here's one wa. Like your 2nd approach, this uses a self-join:
    WITH     got_r_num     AS
         SELECT  ca_id
         ,     ROW_NUMBER () OVER ( PARTITION BY  ca_id
                                   ,                    fac_id
                             ORDER BY        ca_ver_num
                                 )    AS r_num
         ,     brwr_short_name
         ,     TO_CHAR (sic_code)     AS sic_code
         ,     fac_id
    --     ,     ...     -- Other columns (using TO_CHAR if needed)
         FROM     r_dummy
    ,     unpivoted_data     AS
         SELECT     *
         FROM     got_r_num
         UNPIVOT     INCLUDE NULLS
              (    txt
              FOR  column_name IN ( brwr_short_name          AS 'BRWR_SHORT_NAME'
                            , sic_code               AS 'SIC_CODE'
    --                        , ...     -- Other columns
    SELECT       p.ca_id
    ,       p.fac_id
    ,       p.column_name
    ,       p.txt          AS previous_name
    ,       a.txt          AS after_modification
    FROM       unpivoted_data   p
    JOIN       unpivoted_data   a  ON  p.ca_id     = a.ca_id
                           AND p.fac_id     = a.fac_id
                         AND p.column_name     = a.column_name
                         AND p.r_num      = a.r_num - 1
                         AND p.txt || 'X' != a.txt || 'X'
    ORDER BY  a.r_num
    ;To include other columns, add them in the 2 places where I put the comment "Other columns".
    Ca_ver_num can have any values, not just 2.00 and 3.00.
    This will show cases where a value in one of the columns changed to NULL, or where NULL changed to a value.
    There ought to be a way to do this without a separate sub-query like got_r_num. According to the SQL Language manual, you can put expressions in the UPIVOT ... IN list, but when I tried
    ...     UNPIVOT     INCLUDE NULLS
              (    txt
              FOR  column_name IN ( brwr_short_name          AS 'BRWR_SHORT_NAME'
                                 , TO_CHAR (sic_code)     AS 'SIC_CODE'
              )I got the error "ORA_00917: missing comma" right after TO_CHAR. Perhaps someone else can show how to eliminate one of the sub-queries.

  • Replacing one column value between two rows..help??

    HI,
    I have table T
    it has five columns, all are in number data type
    Col1 and col2 are jointly primary key i.e. they cannot be repeated combined
    when i run this query..
    SQL> Select * from t
    it shows me the data like this
    Col1        Col2              Col3       Col4           Col5
    1             1               78          58            12.76
    2             1               128         446           32.10
    3             1               468         566           52.10
    4             1               878         58            52.05
    5             1               987         348           22.02
    ... so on.
    my requirement is that i want to update this table by replacing the col1 value between any two rows
    suppose this is the first row
    Col1        Col2          Col3        Col4         Col5
    1             1             78          58        12.76
    and this is any 2nd row
    Col1        Col2          Col3        Col4        Col5

  • How exchange messages between two user-bean instances?

    Hi,
    I would like to let several user to log-in my web site (I'm using tomcat) and then let them exchange some messages until they are logged-in. Is there a way using JSF?
    I was thinking about implementing a list of messages inside each user-bean. The user should know that other users are logged-in, that could be listed in a table, and click on its name. I would like that the click action create an item in the list valiable of the selected user. Is that possible using JSF? I didn't find any of such kind of communication between two user-bean instances.
    Do you have any hints? Is that the right way or is there other possibilities?
    Thanks

    You could get hold of a map of sessions in the application scope. Make use of HttpSessionListener to add/remove sessions to/from the map.
    JSF is just another component based MVC framework on top of JSP/Servlet. Everything which you can do in JSP/Servlet is just still possible. You only need to understand how JSF works under the hood.

  • Forms6i- how do i pass values between two forms

    Forms6i- passing values between forms
    I have two forms. FORM1 does a call_form to FORM2.
    How do i send values from FORM1 over to FORM2?
    I want the 2 values in FORM1 to be passed top FORM2 and displayed as a TEXT ITEM.
    But i don't know what is involved in passign vales between forms.

    Define Parameters in Form2, and pass parameters with the same name from Forms1 with the parameter list option of your call_form built-in.
    It is in the online help.

  • Using functional global variables to transfer data between touch screen device and other targets

    Hi,
    We are currently developing a control system that will operate on a cRIO with a touch screen interface. During development we have been using functional global variables (FGVs) to handle most of the settings/data etc, however we have just realised that we may have an issue updating the data on the touch screen, and vice versa.
    Previously we have implemented similar programs using shared variables, however we were wondering if there is anyway to implement FGVs in a similar manner, whether it'd be a combination of FGVs and shared variables.
    Regards,
    Mike
    Software version: Labview 8.2.1

    See this thread on LAVA about sharing FGV's across projects. THis should be extendable to cross paltforms (I believe).
    You also may want to concider an upgrade to LV 8.5.1. We have found a number of performance related issues with LV 8.2.1 and RT.
    If you decide not to upgrade, just remeber what I wrote (above) when you have reason to question the performance.
