Gmail all emails show Spam

Hi,
I know lots of people are having problems with custom settings and Gmail in the new Apple Mail app through Mavericks-- however, I don't use any custom settings and for some reason all my emails through Gmail show up in the app as spam. For example, a legitimate email from a friend will show the sender and subject, but the "teaser version" body of the email, and the entire email once opened, are various sorts of spam messages. I'm assuming that when I updated something in the Mail app got routed strangely, but have no idea how to proceed-- I was hoping the most recent update would fix my bug but it hasn't, and it's inconvenient to always check on my phone (which, strangely enough, has no issues between Mail and Gmail).
Does anyone know of something I can do to fix this?

Hi thank you but I don't know what you mean!!! I went to mail preferences but couldn't see anything obvious to un check.
I also noticed that when i go to my documents all were added or modified at 07:08 AM!!!
The time and date on my macbook are correct!

    Im having an issue in our environment where some users aren't getting new email.  It's hit or miss, for example mine works perfectly both incoming/outgoing. 
    ON a few of them I tried logging into their owa online account and all the emails show up...so it's still there/on the server, but when we open up outlook when logged in it does not update their inbox.  I tried going into control panel, mail, and deleting
    the local profile/adding a new profile and after it autodiscovers/populates the acccount it sits at an empty mailbox and says "Updating this folder" and shows it as connected to microsoft exchange.

    It seems like Outlook connection issue, please check account settings between worked Outlook client and problematic outlook client.
    Meanwhile, please check the following settings of outlook.
    Close Outlook and start control panel, double-click the Mail icon.
    Click the E-mail Accounts button,  choose the account and double-click it.
    Check the server name and User name are correct, and check box
    Use Cached Exchange Mode. Then click More Settings.
    Under Advanced tab, check box Use Cached Exchange Mode
    and Download Shared folders.
    Under Security tab, Check the box "Encrypt data between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange."
    Under Connection tab, check the box "Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP" and click
    Exchange Proxy Settings.
    Make sure the following selections and input the listed information:
    "https://" field and check the box "Connect using SSL only."
    Check the box "Only connect to proxy servers that have this principal name in their certificate" then check the field below.
    Check the boxes (On fast/slow networks) "connect using HTTP first, then connect using TCP/IP."
    From the authentication drop-down menu, select NTLM Authentication.
    Click OK -> OK -> Next

  • With 31.0, McAfee Internet Security marks ALL email as spam. What's the fix?

    No matter the level of anti-spam filtering I choose, every single incoming email is tagged as spam in my inbox. (Also, FWIW, all messages go to the inbox even if I try to opt to have them sent to the McAfee anti-spam folder.) I have three PCs with the same McAfee program and Thunderbird. After the problem arose on one PC I checked the others, which had not yet been updated to 31.0. No problem until I updated T'bird. Then: BOOM! Everything is marked as spam on both of those as well.
    Hard to believe that McAfee hasn't heard from other T'bird users on this. Doesn't it seem that there must be an innate conflict between McAfee IS and T'bird 31.0?
    McAfee techs want to take remote access of my computer to play around with the registry, presumably looking for a corruption of some sort. I have declined, because I can't see that happening simultaneously in all three of my computers, nor do I wish to have the McAfee techs learning on my equipment. Let them solve the problem in-house.
    But meantime, just in case, does anyone have a solid suggestion? Thanks!

    This facetious remark is uncalled for and not polite to people trying to offer assistance.
    McAfee needs to keep up to date if it intends to offer what it claims without causing aggrivation and issues to the user, but obviously informing them helps and this you are doing, which is good.

    I've also done some internet searching on your behalf and located that this issue seems to occur regardless of email client.
    On this McAfee forum, there is a similar question albeit a year old, with some advise on what to try.

  • Suddenly all emails show http code on 1 computer but not other one

    I have 2 computers, 1 laptop and other desktop. On laptop, I download 2 e-mail accounts. The first a/c I keep on server and pull up on desktop when at home. On the laptop all of a sudden the e-mails come up with the http code along with the text. There seems to be no problem on the desktop with the same messages. Have no idea at this time how this happened.
    FOUND SOLUTION -- The "VIEW TOOLBAR" "Message Body As" option was inadvertently changed from "Original HTML" to "Plain Text". Changing it back to "Original HTML" Solved the problem.

  • One Email Notification to Rule All Emails

    Coming from a OG Moto Droid to Bionic so everything has been pretty thumbs up with this new phone.  I did notice what seems to be an oversite from the designers/coders.  If you sync a exchange email account and a POP email (like I do) or probably any two email accounts (except Gmail), all email (again except Gmail) gets assigned the same email notification ringtone.  This is pretty annoying on a phone that was delayed to market, and cost me $300.  Hopefully this is just an oversite by someone but I wanted to make sure I pointed this out in an official forum so that it can be fixed in future updates. 
    Of course if anyone has a solution I'm all ears...would love to hear two different ringtone notifications for my two different email accounts.  Right now they are all getting the "WORK EMAIL!" alert.  I just confirmed that this is an issue at the store, my OG Moto did this very easily but for some reason (while I get two different icons notifications in the status bar) the ringtone alert has been combined for all non Gmail accounts.

  • Some email shows name of sender some show address

    In Mail, in my upper viewing pane where all emails are shown in a list, some show the name of the sender (John Doe) and some show the email address ([email protected]). I have smart addresses turned on, and in the body of the message all emails show the name, rather than the address. Those where only the email address shows are in my address book, so they're not unknown to the system. What's up with this? Is that something I can change or is that a setting in the sender's preferences as to what they want to appear?

    You have saved the email address of this meetup group to your address book when a message came in from Nichole. Find that entry and clear Nichole's name out of it.

    OK...please go through the KB that knottyrope provided...it has a lot of information...
    Basically, your Outlook gets your mail from Charter. Your BB, via BIS, also gets your mail from Charter. Upon getting new emails, the BB/BIS will always leave messages on the server so that your Outlook can get them as well. But, Outlook can be configured to either leave them on the server or remove them from the server at the moment it downloads them from the server. If your Outlook is configured to delete them from the server upon download, then they quite simply aren't there for your BB/BIS to retrieve and push to your BB.
    You need to check your Outlook settings to see if it is configured to leave messages on the server when it downloads. If it is not, then that is most likely the cause of your situation.

    I think you have encountered a problem that all of incoming mails were treated as SPAM. The information that you provided indicates that these mails were marked as SCL rating 9 which will be deleted, rejected or
    quarantine . However, normal mails should be mark as SCL-1 and these mails usually  can be forwarded.
    Please check the configuration with following steps:
    What are the allow words or block words you defined before ?
    How did you dispatch SCL rating  for different mails ?
    How were the mails treated in each SCL rating

    You probably have a troublesome font installed that causes this (e.g. Helvetica Fractions). If that's the case, get rid of it:
