Gnucash, from aur, and fatal error at start...

Hi!
I have compiled and installed gnucash from aur, but then I run it and shows an error...:
$ gnucash
ERROR: no code for module (g-wrap gw-glib)
any idea?

gnucash is currently orphaned, and there are errors in the PKGBUILD - specifically, the dependencies are not entered correctly, which is presumably the reason why you haven't installed them. Change the depends line to this:
depends=('gtkhtml' 'aqbanking' 'g-wrap' 'goffice' 'libgnomeprintui')
and rebuild/reinstall it, after building/installing the dependencies.
General advice - always read the comments on AUR packages.

Seems to me most of the discussion about this is outdated, so here I go:
I have been running into some issues with programming Arduino. Replaced my avr-gcc with avr-gcc svn, but to no avail. So now I'm going for the standard distribution package of Arduino on most, if not on linux, systems (MACOSX, Windows) that uses JDK and JRE from Sun Oracle. Got the PKGBUILD tarballs from AUR and successfully built my own JRE install, but here is my issue:

Now, can you tell me how to recycle the JDK packaged in the JRE AUR PKGBUILD script fetched from the internet? Its such a bother having to download it again when I already have a viable copy.
Edit: What I mean is reuse the JDK package gotten from Sun Oracle which currently resides in the src dir of my JRE AUR package build. I tried copying it straight to the src folder of the JDK builder, but to no avail... currently looking through makepkg wiki...

HP Mini 210-2090NR malware and fatal error after update

Hi,
I have an HP Mini 210-2090NR with Win 7 starter. I had malware that kept trying to contact websites like adclick, etc. It tried an auto update and then got a one line "fatal error". Now it will boot to the quickweb but not the OS. I tapped ESC until I got a menu and tried F11 but the screen just goes completely blank. Is the recovery partition toast or is there another way to access it?

The error message- Replace hard Disk 1 is a clear indication that your hard drive has gone faulty on the Notebook and needs to be replaced.
I would strongly recommend you to back up your files if its possible and apart from replacing the hard drive with a new one, there is no other option to fix this issue on the Notebook

Fatal Error when starting Power Saver on Tecra M9

When I try to start Power Saver on a Tecra M9 (21), I get a Fatal error; code: 0X51A.
I've tried various combinations of uninstalling, cleaning registry, rebooting, etc., but everytime I reinstall (version 7), I get the same fatal error.

You are speaking about the Power saver for XP? Am I right?
Please note that you have to install all drivers, tools and utilities in the right order!!!
The installation instruction should be checked and you should follow the guide lines.
Very important;
The common modules is a necessary tool to get all other Toshiba tools running properly. Furthermore there is a power saver driver and utility. The driver must be installed before the utility!!!

Thunderbird3-x86-64 from AUR and Provider for Google plugin not workin

I compiled Thunderbird 3 from AUR which has the Lightning plugin in it v1.0b2pre and want Provider for Google (sync google calender to lightning) and I'm not getting it working. I have tried serveral versions including the nightly build and does not install. Has anyone got this plugin working?

Thanks I've tried that but Provider for Google's preferences is not available for me to select - its greyed out.
I compiled Thunderbird from AUR which had Lightning pre-installed. I disabled it and installed your recommended version - lightning is now 1.0b1 and Provider is 0.6b1. Did you install Thunderbird from extra and not AUR?

Okay uninstalled my compiled thunderbird and installed from extra - its called shredder from what I see. Installed lightning and provider as you have indicated and still Provider's preference button is grayed out. is this due to remnents of previous installation? what can I do to fix?

Macbook launching and running slowly and server error on start up.

Please help! My macbook pro has been acting up lately (not exclusively since installing Mavericks, but I don't think that has helped either). The macbook has been taking longer than usual to start up initially (boot) and to start each program (with no particular program being worse than others).
The screen often freezes when browsing online, even when browsing low text-base websites.
I am also receiving this error when I start up the computer, but this has been happening for some time now so I'm unsure of it's impact:
"There was a problem connecting to the server 'wrt610n' The server may not exist or it is unavailable at the time" I don't recognise that server name, so how do I go about fixing that?
I have included a copy of the Etresoft EtreCheck report which I am hoping will help!

I forgot to update the group.
The issue turned out be disabling the mcafee while installing the CQ instance.
mcafee was blocking the osgi bundles to get installed and my login and welcome screen were not up due to missing bundles.
Bundle information: 122 bundles in total, 119 bundles active, 3 active fragments, 0 bundles resolved, 0 bundles installed.
Now, I have disabled the mcafee, while installing the CQ and now it successfully started and with all the bundles installed.
Bundle information: 231 bundles in total, 224 bundles active, 7 active fragments, 0 bundles resolved, 0 bundles installed.

Mouse Wheel and Fatal Error

On some computers we get a fatal error when trying to scroll through the document using the wheel on the mouse but it works fine when using the keys or clicking at the right of the window to scroll.
Any ideas?

We don't, in general, update already released versions, so no.
If you absolutely must have a particular fix in a version that has already been released you need to log a one-off request with Support.
I suggest you upgrade to 10.1.2.2.

As wodim obviously has problems with your burner/firmware, then have you tried growisofs from dvd+rw-tools, or schilling's original cdrecord, which is much more up-2-date than wodim with regards to dvd-writing ?
Personally, I always use wodim for cd-r writes(since wodim works fine for me on cd-r, I do not need to use schilling's "better" version), and then growisofs for all dvd-type writes, and that works great atleast on the 4 different drive-types i've tested it with...

Haguichi won't build from AUR, and won't build from source tarball.

I managed to get Hamachi installed. Go me. But I like having a frontend for things like that, so I tried to build Haguichi from the AUR. Didn't work. I downloaded the source tarball, and running ./configure returned the same error as yaourt.

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.
Alternatively, you may set the environment variables DBUS_SHARP_10_CFLAGS
and DBUS_SHARP_10_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.
I made sure the dependencies were installed and updated to the latest versions, but it still won't build. What am I doing wrong?

Was having trouble burning CD. Uninstalled iTunes from PC the reinstalled iTunes. The first installation I got a messaghe saying that download was interrupted. I restarted te download and completed it. Then got another error message that a registry file was missing that is used in downloading and burning CD-s. I figured with a fresh download, it should have been fixed???? Solution anyone and thanks?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

and it has total 6 servers, and in all servers i did the latest windows update
and after update i found the sharepoint 2010 administraion service was stopped and when i start its given error message

Are you able to run the Config Wizard? Are there any helpful messages in the Application Event Log or in Applications and Services Logs -> Microsoft -> SharePoint Products -> Shared -> Operational?
